Ranma Half Moon Season 2: Phrase White - Part 3: Disintegration - Chapter 83 - The Interrogation - Part 2

Ayaka, now in her apartment, puts a sleep mask over her eyes and turns off the lamp next to her bed and lies down.

...

Kunochi, dressed in a school uniform different from Ouran's, walks towards the front door of his home.

"Wait, dear! Your trainer left this note for you."

"Thanks, mom." Kunochi reads the note, which has an attached picture with a name: "There will be a new boy at school. He is in the same situation as you are in. I cannot ask you to get along with him, but it would help if you did."

Kunochi rolls his eyes. Oh, brother. I know how troublesome I was in the first couple of months of my being here. I guess they want me to help this new boy adjust?

...

Kunochi arrives at school. Most of the female high school students his age wave to him and greet him. Kunochi smiles and waves back.

He arrives at his homeroom class and takes his seat next to the window in the next-to-last row of chairs.

His teacher walks in with a new student. "Class, we have a new student transferring in today." He turns to the new student. "Please write your name on the blackboard."

The new student writes their name in Kanji with the pronunciation next to the Kanji. He then announces his name.

So this is Zoiki? He doesn't look so tough for a police officer's son.

...

Kunochi finds Zoiki on the roof during lunch period. He looks around to make sure they are alone. "Hey, Zoiki. I know your secret. We are alike."

Zoiki smiles. "I was hoping we were alike. The other boys in this school seem so bland, but you stand out. I especially like your facial features. You look fierce. But, you would look more fierce if you grew your hair out."

"Is it a good idea for me to stand out with long hair?"

"Don't worry. I won't let any other boy steal you from me."

Kunochi face plants. "That's not what I was talking about when I said we were alike."

Zoiki giggles. "I know. I was teasing. But I meant it when I gave you advice on your hair."

"Well, I don't really care how long my hair is. However, our handlers would have to approve."

"Just say it forcefully. They have worse things to worry about than the length of your hair."

Wow. This guy sure is something to be this together and confident this early.

...

Zoisite meets with Kunzite in Kunzite's room in Dark Kingdom.

"Zoisite, you're hurt. Allow me to give you some energy to heal."

"Kunzite, it's no good. Even if Queen Beryl's attack was not lethal, Tuxedo Kamen has hurt me even worse by damaging my face."

Kunzite's face falls in sadness, knowing that the scar from the red rose attack of Tuxedo Kaman has broken Zoisite's spirit and no amount of energy he could give him would help. "You are still Zoisite to me."

Zoisite looks down. "It's too late. I can feel myself disintegrating. Can you make my death beautiful?"

Kunzite tears up. "Of course." Kunzite creates a door to an alternate dimension, where a sakura storm fills a manicured lane with pink petals.

"It's beautiful. Thank you, Kunzite. Please kill Tuxedo Kamen to avenge me." Zoisite steps through the door to the alternate dimension and his being scatters along with the sakura blossoms until no trace remains.

...

"Kunzite, will you have a problem working with Prince Edymion?"

Kunzite looks at Queen Beryl, who looks suspiciously like Ayaka. "It will be hard. He is arrogant and says things just to spite me. Prince Edymion is also Tuxedo Kamen who injured my friend Zoisite. However, you are my queen, so I will have to make it work."

Queen Beryl smiles. "I am happy that you are frank with me. I know you are a proud man, but we are very close to achieving our goals. Please, do your best ... or else."

Kunzite bows. "Yes, Queen Beryl."

...

Minako's mother, Doberman, puts on a mask of a happy anime style character. Let's get this over with.

The lights come on in the interrogation room. Doberman, who is in the room next door with a bulletproof glass window protecting her, looks at Kunochi, Zoiki, Nephuyu, and Jadero, who are naked and bound to lab tables by plastic wrap. They are still under the influence of an anesthetic.

Doberman presses a button to stop the anesthetic, slowly raising the boys from their slumber.

Doberman waits until the boys realize they cannot move, and that Doberman's organization has captured them. "I bid you welcome ..." Doberman then recites the boys' birth names, looking at each one. A voice modulator alters her voice.

Kunochi sneers at the masked interrogator. "What are you talking about? I think you have grabbed the wrong guys."

They all say that. Doberman smiles under the mask. "We have the correct people ..." Doberman addresses Kunochi by his birth name and then says his birth father's and mother's names. "My organization has run DNA tests on your hair and we see you are the sons of police officers who the organization Two killed. We also know your organization has waged a bloody war on that organization and you four were on the front lines. And we know your organization has recently prevailed."

Jadero smirks slightly. "Are you from Two, seeking revenge on us supposed super assassins?"

"No, that organization is no more."

"Are you from our supposed secret revenge organization, seeking to silence us supposed super assassins because we know too much?"

Doberman chuckles. "Jadero, you are actually lucky. I am sure that your organization would have eminently done so if we had not picked up you four when we did. Let me show you something."

Doberman presses a button, and a screen descends from the ceiling to the right of Doberman's window. A projector shines a video on the screen.

"My fellow mob bosses. My name is Kinosuke, and I am the leader of the organization Three. Recently we caused the demise of the organization Two. We are taking over their businesses. We have all of their business records and know of all of their debts. Please welcome us as a fellow player in our field and we will make good all of Two's outstanding debts. Accept us and get paid. Reject us and suffer the same fate as Two. Please treat us well."

Doberman pushes a button, and the screen goes back up. She can see looks of hurt and betrayal on the faces of her prisoners. "Do you see how it is now?"

The boys give no answer.

"Zoiki, was that video a surprise to you?"

"I have no clue what you are talking about."

"By the way, nice scar on your face."

Zoiki futilely tries to squirm in anger but cannot move because of the restraints.

"Well, you can play dumb if you want to, but with a push of a button, I can kill all of you instantly. So, I hope you will listen to my proposal and consider it. However, if you reject it and accept instant death, then I will understand."

Zoiki is in trouble. I need to do something. Kunochi tries to look bored and untroubled. "So, what is this proposal?"

"Well, my organization has good relations with another crime organization in Fukuoka. Since you are the sons of police officers, it is extremely dangerous for my crime organization to hurt you, even though you are already supposed to be dead. So, it is better if I can ship you off to Fukuoka into the care of the other organization. You four have tremendous skills. They can use you as assassins. However, I can assure you they will only ask you to eliminate people in rival crime organizations, and they will never ask you to kill women or children."

Kunochi chuckles. "You are all heart."

"Kunochi, will you accept my offer, or should I kill Zoiki right in front of your eyes?"

Kunochi freezes, unable to move.

Jadero breaks the silence. "I suppose that if you let us live, that other organization won't allow us to be a band anymore?"

Doberman laughs. "Jadero, this other organization isn't stupid. If you went there, they would give you a new identity and a new look. If your old organization knew you were alive, they would move heaven and earth to give all four of you the worst ending imaginable. Allowing you four to be a band would certainly tip off your former organization. And I am sure they would not let you run a radio program, either."

Nephuyu, having seen some of the horrible fates of the people he has snatched, gulps. "So, we get a quick death here, or a living hell in Fukuoka with the shadow of a horrible death never far away?"

Doberman shrugs. "I think it is a good deal. You will only kill criminals and if you follow the other organization's directions, eventually your former organization will lose interest in you. I cannot guarantee a good life, but at least you will be alive. Besides, isn't it really the same thing that you have already been doing only now your bosses will not be lying to you?"

Kunochi looks at Zoiki, who is quivering in fear and defeat. "I accept."

Jadero, Nephuyu, and Zoiki gasp and turn their heads toward Kunochi.

"I will endure anything to protect Zoiki."

"You don't have to. I am not afraid."

Kunochi shakes his head at Zoiki. "For a snatcher, your lies are not very convincing."

Jadero shakes his head. "Well, then I should also accept. Those two fools will only wind up in trouble if I am not there."

Nephuyu smiles. "Well, we've been together for several years. It makes no sense to split up the team."

Zoiki cries. "You losers! We should accept the death of a beautiful hero."

Kunochi smiles. "Zoiki, the scratch on your face has almost healed. There will be no visible after effects."

"Really? Okay, then I accept."

Doberman smiles. "Thanks. So far, I have never hurt a member of the police force or their families. I appreciate your sparing me the burden of doing so. But now, I must put you under again. The less you see here, the better. When you awaken, you will be in Fukuoka."
