Chapter 20

— Alduin. A few weeks ago I wouldn't have minded losing my life, but now it's different. I don't remember what it was, but there is something that drives me to live. —

Edzard to Alduin in the throat of the world.

Edzard was looking at the night sky through the window of the hotel room he shared with Asia. speaking of his wife, she was currently lounging in bed. They had rented the penthouse of this hotel. This penthouse was like a small house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Currently, he and Asia shared the main room, while Marie used the continuous room.

Narrowing his eyes, he saw a figure move through the alleys of the town. Releasing a sigh, he rose from the chair where he was resting. He went to the closet and grabbed black pants, a dark blue tank top, and a black hooded shirt. All these clothes he had bought with the debit card that he now handled. It hadn't been easy, but in the end, he had opened a bank account with two cards, one for himself and one for Asia. After that, he went to the shop of that fallen angel and converted three hundred gold bars, five hundred silver and twenty kilos of jewels into money. At the end of the day the account had a total of almost twenty-four million dollars.

When he finished dressing he left the room as quietly as possible in order to avoid waking his wife. Not that he had to try, as she was exhausted from all the hours of unbridled passion they'd had.

When Edzard left the hotel, he began to move quickly. In these few days he had learned that the vampires of Earth had almost the same behavior as those of Nirm. They were even divided into levels, from low-class to high-class. Although, it seemed that there were no Vampire Lords, as he hadn't encountered any yet. While he had wanted to leave this place the day after obtaining his IDs, he was unable to do so. The cause of this was that he had met another vampire when he had gone to buy diapers for his daughter. After a short battle, he managed to subdue the vampire. After reading his mind, he learned that the Tepes possessed a very powerful sacred gear. Unfortunately, the vampire had been a mid-range one and therefore did not have much information about what his superiors were planning.

'Lady Nocturnal give me the luck to find one of the high-ranking ones.' Edzard thought as he started to approach the place where the vampire had stopped. Turning a corner, he saw an alley. As he entered it, he felt the atmosphere cool down and he wrapped himself in a light mist.

'Seriously. If the vampires of Nirn could do this to create fog and cool the environment it would have been a bit more difficult to hunt them down.'

Edzard stopped in front of a figure.

"You finally arrived. I was tired of waiting for you." He spoke the figure as he began to emerge from the shadows.

When he was out of the shadows, Edzard could see his features. He was a young man who wore an aristocrat's suit, said suit was identical to those worn by aristocrats in the 20th century. His hair was white and his eyes were red. If a human woman saw him, it was quite possible that she would find him very attractive.

"I never thought that a human would be the one who was killing my subordinates. But still, you have done me a great favor, since you have been in charge of eliminating the cockroaches that were under my command." Said the vampire approaching Edzard. "Even so. Despite your help, I can't leave you alive. Your actions are scaring the cattle."

After saying that, the vampire snapped his fingers and made a magic circle appear under Edzard's feet. The circle flashed for a few seconds, then disappeared along with Edzard.

Edzard appeared in a clearing a few miles from town. After he appeared, the bushes began to move and various figures emerged from them.

'Twenty? No. There are over thirty bloodsuckers here.' Edzard thought as he watched the vampires surround him.

"Let's get rid of this bag of blood." Said a vampire as he smiled.

The vampires surrounding Edzard began to growl as they summoned bugs and bats.

Edzard saw the vampires and brought his hand to his belt. Taking the ax he had used as a member of the Dawnguard, he closed his eyes and waited.

The vampires lunged at Edzard, while he still did not move. When they were less than a meter away, Edzard disappeared from the vampires' sight.

"What ..." A vampire said when he saw how several of his companions had been beheaded.

The surviving vampires began searching the place, but found no trace of Edzard.

"If I were a normal human it is very likely that you could kill me, but unfortunately for you, I am not."

'With this I finally have an idea of the power level of these vampires. His physical level is the same as that of a Nirm farmer. I knew there would be a difference between the power levels of the beings in both worlds, but I never expected there to be such a difference in power.'

The vampires turned and saw Edzard standing in front of them surrounded by what appeared to be a cloak of darkness. In his right hand, his ax dripped the blood of the vampires he had previously killed.

"Sorry. This is nothing personal, guys. " Edzard said as he raised his left hand.

The golden fire began to swirl into a small ball in Edzard's hand. With each passing second, the Fireball kept increasing in size. Five seconds later, the fireball had grown to the size of a beach ball.

"Die." Edzard said as he released the spell on him.

The golden fireball turned into a great torrent of golden flames, which completely engulfed all the vampires in front of Edzard. When the fire was extinguished, nothing remained but a burned wasteland. All vampires had been reduced to ashes.

Wasting no time, Edzard began to run rapidly towards the town. When he got to town, he began to smell the environment. He smiled when he found the vampire who had led him into a trap. Jumping between the rooftops, he headed towards the town cemetery.

When he got to the cemetery, he saw the vampire looking at the graves. Smiling, Edzard began to walk quietly. His footsteps were so well muffled that the vampire was unaware of his presence.

"You know. It was very rude of you to send me to the forest."

The vampire turned his head quickly when he heard Edzard's voice.

"But how?" the vampire asked in shock when he saw Edzard.

"How am I here?" Edzard answered the question with another in a mocking tone. "That is easy. I killed all your lackeys."

The vampire's eyes widened at what Edzard had said. He unconsciously took a step back, since the vampires who had died were the strongest that he had under his command.

Seeing his body trembling with fear, the vampire gritted his teeth. He wasn't going to let this human make fun of him. "Damn bag of ...!"

The vampire was knocked unconscious when his head was slammed into the ground by Edzard's swift movement.

"Just shut up. Your voice makes my ears hurt." Edzard said as he looked at the unconscious vampire. Placing his left hand on the vampire's face, he began to read his mind. When he finished, Edzard smiled and burned the vampire's body. After that, he started walking towards the hotel.

When Edzard got to his room, he took off his clothes and went to the bathroom. While he was showering he was thinking about what he had discovered.

'The Tepes faction is divided into two factions, one supporting King Tepes and the other supporting his son. And according to what I saw, Marius Tepes is conspiring with someone to take power.'

The vampire he had recently killed had given him a lot of information, but sadly he did not belong to Marius Tepes' inner circle. Grimacing, Edzard began to think about what had really shocked him. Marius's sister, a Dhampir named Valiere Tepes possessed a sacred gear that the Tepes had been using to eliminate the weaknesses of their race. According to the dead vampire, Marius had stalled in his investigation and therefore had contacted someone. The meeting between the two would take place in a month and a half from today, in a castle in the region.

Turning off the shower faucet, Edzard left the bathroom and went to sleep on the bed. He had decided to sleep naked, as he did not want Asia to suspect that he had gone out at night. Once in his bed, he hugged his wife and slept.

Asia was walking with Marie through the Kuoh mall. She had arrived with Edzard and Marie in Japan after her husband told her that they had to leave Romania. Edzard had told her everything, about how he had been hunting vampires and how he had learned that they had a vampire with powerful sacred gear. It seemed to Edzard a very similar situation to what had happened in the war between the Dawnguard and the vampires of Volkihar. So that's why they had decided to get off the radar of these vampires for a while, or at least until the date that mysterious ally of the vampire Marius arrived.

As for where they would go, the destination of their trip was chosen at random. They had given Marie a stone and told her to leave the stone in a place on a planisphere that they had bought. In the end, her daughter had left the stone in Japan.

When they arrived at the Tokyo airport, they had spent a night in the city. While they were walking through the city, Edzard had gotten into a fight with some yakusas. Edzard had read their minds and they had learned to speak Japanese from them. In the end, they had taken a random train and ended up arriving in Kuoh.

After wandering through all the stores in the mall, they had headed to the food court. Where he had ordered a regular hamburger for her and a children's menu for her daughter.

"Marie. Stop eating so fast. You are going to choke on food." Asia said as she watched her daughter literally devour the entire plate of food.

"But ... it's ... yummy." Marie said with her mouth full.

Asia sighed. Marie had the same appetite as Edzard, since they both ate three times as many servings as a normal person. She, for her part, only consumed twice the normal rations.

'I suppose our anatomy as mortals from Nirm makes us consume more food. But that's weird, since before going to Nirm I would eat the same as an average human.' Asia thought as she took a bite of her hamburger.

A collective gasp made her pay attention to a group of people arriving at the food court. Failing to see her burger, she saw two women arrive. The first, a beautiful young woman with a very beautiful figure, fair skin with almost greenish blue eyes and crimson hair that reaches her thighs. And that, like her, she also wore a single strand of hair sticking out from the top of her head. She also has long bangs that, apart from covering part of her forehead, frames her face as it is longer on the sides of it. The second, a voluptuous young woman with long black hair and violet eyes. Her hair is tied in a long ponytail that reaches down to her legs with two antennae that protrude from the top that slant back, with an orange ribbon that keeps everything in place. Both young women wore the same outfit, a long-sleeved white button-down shirt with vertical lines, a black neck ribbon, a black shoulder cape and a buttoned corset, and a magenta skirt with white details.

Asia narrowed her eyes when she saw them, as they emitted a very rare aura. In fact, the redhead gave off a terrifying aura. While the power level of both girls was high, it was not something that she could not handle if she fought seriously and used all the spells that she knew, but having Marie so exposed would complicate a possible battle against them both.

"Mom. They both smell weird." Whispered Marie in Tamrielic as she trembled, as the aura of the redhead scared her so much.

Asia looked at her daughter trembling and held her in her arms and began to calm her down.

As the girls passed her, she gave them a sideways glance. The redhead mimicked the action, blue and green saw each other for an instant and the world stopped for both of them.

The atmosphere froze and the sound of conversations faded completely. The redhead had a reddish aura about herself and Asia had a multi-colored aura around her. The atmosphere was so tense that it seemed that at the slightest movement both would begin to attack each other without caring about the spectators. Fortunately, the tension was broken when the black-haired woman touched her friend's shoulder, who blinked and continued walking as if nothing had happened.

"Mom?" asked Marie concerned.

Asia looked at her daughter and saw that she was looking at her hand. Looking down, she saw her right-hand tremble.

"Peaceful. Is nothing." Asia said as she put on a smile. Although she knew it was a big lie.

'That aura was terrifying. Not because she was powerful, but because of her presence.' Thought Asia worriedly. 'It was as if he threatened to erase my existence just by touching me.'

Shaking her head, Asia stopped thinking about it and set about calming her daughter down. She might think about whatever that power is later, now she had to calm the little girl of hers.

Edzard was walking the streets of Kuoh. As he walked, he heard the sound of struggling. Sighing, he headed towards the source of these sounds.

'Why do all the problems in this world usually arise in damn alleys?' Edzard thought as he entered another alley.

When he got to the source of the sounds, he could see a pair of thugs beating a girl to take her belongings. The girl was a young woman the age of Asia. The young woman was not very tall and she was wearing an outfit a little weird for someone who had never seen a school uniform. The girl wore a white shirt with black stripes and a black ribbon at the neck, over the shirt she wore a black vest. She also had a magenta skirt with white details. She wore black thigh-high stockings. Her brown hair had two braids, one on each side and was slightly messy, but Edzard didn't know if it was her combing or from the blows she had just received. There was a pair of round glasses near the girl.

"It is cowardly to group assault a woman who obviously does not know how to defend herself." Edzard said walking towards the thugs.

The thugs turned and saw Edzard walking calmly towards them.

"Stay out of business, pretty boy." Said one of the thugs.

Edzard continued to advance. These idiots didn't have a single chance against him. "It may not be my business. But I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I let them continue to beat a defenseless woman."

The thugs snarled and lunged at Edzard.

As the thugs ran towards Edzard, the girl opened her eyes. And she saw something incredibly cool.

Edzard watched the thugs arrive in slow motion. So he easily dodged the first thug's blow. Then dodging it, Edzard countered with a hook aimed at the thug's chin. The thug was hit squarely, lying on the ground, unconscious. The other thug tried to say something, but couldn't, as Edzard hit him on the back of the head, knocking him unconscious as well.

Seeing the unconscious thugs, Edzard approached the girl.

"Hey. Did they do anything other than hit you? "

"No, they just hit me to rob me. Thanks for your help." The girl said as she tried to get up, but she almost fell off her when one of her legs gave out. Fortunately, she never touched the ground, since Edzard had caught her.

"It looks like you have some bruises. Fortunately, there are no broken bones. " Edzard said after quickly examining the girl. After that, he carried her in his arms and left the alley. Once on the street, he called a taxi and went with her to the hospital.

The journey passed in silence, as neither spoke. When they got to the hospital, Edzard took the girl to the infirmary and left her there. When he was about to leave, the girl spoke to him.

"Seriously, thank you very much for helping me. My name is Aika Kiryuu."

Edzard looked at the girl and smiled at her. "Nice to meet you, Kiryuu. My name is Edzard Rolandson."

After introducing himself, Edzard left the hospital, but not before paying Aika's care.

Aika's cheeks flushed red and a goofy smile appeared on her face when she saw Edzard come out of the hospital room.

'Heh, heh, heh. What a nice ass.' Aika thought as her nose started to bleed slightly.

Currently she was very happy, as she had met a very handsome boy. Her day had been like another normal, going to the academy, coming home and stuff. Sadly, she was mugged by a couple of thugs. Those who dragged her into an alley and began beating her when she resisted the theft of her belongings. And when she thought they were going to try something else, she saw it. Edzard had arrived as if she were a hero and had quickly saved her from the assailants. He then had carried her princess style and taken her to the hospital.

'A handsome boy with a very good package.' Aika smiled at the thought of what his skill had shown her. Edzard was bigger than the average young man his age, in fact, she hadn't seen anything like it in her life.

Remembering what she had seen made Aika smile again and fantasize about what she might do with Edzard.

Edzard was walking through a park. As he walked, he thought about what just happened. The girl he had saved had been being followed by two strange animals. One of them was a pink bat, unfortunately he had not been able to see the other.

'What were those creatures?' Edzard thought a little worried. Closing his eyes he tried to remember his classes with Phinis Gestor. His eyes widened when he remembered something important. 'Of course I was familiar with these kinds of creatures. Those creatures have a similar aura to the conjured familiars.'

Three screams made him stop thinking. Turning his head, he watched as three boys his age ran like headless chickens while being followed by several girls.

"What the fuck is going on here?"

Edzard began to see how the girls were beginning to gain ground over the boys and that it would be a matter of time before they were caught.

'Those guys are not physical at all.' thought Edzard with an amused smile.

Not knowing exactly what was going on, he decided to ask some boys who were dressed similarly to the ones being chased. It was thanks to them that she learned that the chased were known as the perverted trio of the Kuoh academy. When she asked what they did to get that nickname, they told her that they spied on girls changing and that they did not hide their unbridled lust, but that despite that they had not hurt any woman.

Edzard kept seeing the boys being chased while the girls yelled words like perverts, slags, enemies of women, lustful beasts, among other things.

"This is very entertaining. Let's see how much longer they hold ..." Edzard stopped talking when he saw how two boys, one with shaved hair and the other with glasses, looked at each other and nodded.

'Don't screw me. They're really going to sell his friend.' Edzard thought as he started to run towards a nearby alley. Standing in the alley, he waited a moment. When he saw them approach, Edzard took the boy with the brown hair and pulled him into the alley. As he did that, Edzard made the other two stumbles so that they would be at the mercy of the girls.

After seeing how the treacherous friends were beaten, Edzard saw the young man he had saved and sighed in exasperation, since the boy was completely unconscious. In fact, he was foaming at the mouth and muttering inconsistencies about being the harem King and oppai.

'I think I used a lot of force when pulling it.'

Issei's eyes started to widen. When he opened them all the way, he got up and saw that he was lying on the grass in the park where they had been chasing him.

'Waiting. Where are Matsuda and Motohama!' Thought Issei frantically looking around.

"I see you woke up."

Issei stopped looking for his friends and focused on seeing who was talking to him. He frowned when he saw a handsome young man wearing black pants with matching boots and a dark blue long-sleeved sweatshirt.

"You should stop looking like that at who saved your butt when your friends tried to scapegoat you."

Issei blinked in confusion as he didn't know what was going on. "What do you mean?"

"Your friends planned to trip you up and take advantage of that to run away while the girls beat you." The young man said as he sat down next to Issei. "By the way. My name is Edzard Rolandson."

Issei nodded and introduced himself. "Nice to meet you, my name is Hyoudou Issei. And thank you for saving me."

"You're welcome. If there is something I hate, it is those who are willing to abandon their comrades to save their own skin." Edzard said as he looked at the moon. "You don't have any more friends than those two, do you?"

Issei blushed in embarrassment, as that was true. Matsuda and Motohama were his only friends, as many people ignored him because of his continuous chatter about being a harem king and his unbridled love for breasts.

Edzard looked at Issei carefully, there was a reason why he had decided to wait for him to wake up. That was because Issei gave off a subtle dragon smell. Activating the Vision of the Tenth Eye spell, Edzard saw Issei's body. His eyes fell on the glow from his left arm. A smile began to form on Edzard's face as he unconsciously allowed his dragon aura to come out.

Issei grabbed his left arm and hissed in pain. He didn't know why, but his arm had started to have a very sharp stabbing pain. Fortunately, the pain was bearable.

Seeing Issei in that state, Edzard was able to realize that Issei's sacred gear was reacting to the power of his dragon aura that he had unconsciously released. Managing to reseal his dragon aura, he decided to converse with Issei. The young man seemed interesting to her thanks to the aura of power emitted by his sacred gear.

"Hey. Hyoudou. What is your dream?" Edzard asked trying to start a conversation.

Issei stopped holding his arm and started looking at Edzard. He didn't know why, but he felt like he could trust him. With a smile from ear to ear, he screamed his dream. "I want to be a Harem King!"

Edzard blinked not understanding what Issei meant. "Excuse me but. What is a harem?"

Issei's mouth fell open and he started to walk away from Edzard. "Sacrilege! How can you not know what a harem is?!"

"The truth is, I don't know what that word means."

Issei put a hand to his chest and proudly began to explain what a harem was.

"Ahhh. I understand now. A harem is to have multiple concubines." Edzard interrupted.

Issei choked on his saliva and started coughing. When he stopped coughing, he turned to see Edzard and began to ask him with his eyes for him to continue.

"In my hometown it is normal for some wealthy men to take several women as a partner. Of course, most of these women do not obtain the rank of wife and stay in the rank of concubines."

"In ... in ... in your ... your ... town ... can they have harems?"

"Yes. Although, it's a bit weird nowadays."

Issei fell to his knees and started crying. A few seconds later, he got up and grabbed Edzard by the sweatshirt.

"Trust me. You wouldn't survive a day there." Edzard said as hundreds of images of Issei being eaten by saber cats, trolls, bears, dragons and even being killed by a woman for being a pervert passed through his mind.

Issei was left confused by Edzard's answer, but his eyes widened in surprise when he saw something shiny on Edzard's left hand. Looking closer, he saw that it was a gold ring.

"Are you ... you ... are you married?" Issei asked, since she had seen her parents have that same type of ring on their hands, but they were silver instead of gold.

"Ah. Yes, I'm married. In fact, I also have a daughter." Edzard answered like nothing.

Issei was shocked and fell to his knees again.

'This guy seems to be my age and has already had a taste of nirvana.' Issei thought as he cried tears of blood from jealousy. 'Damn handsome boy!'

Edzard looked at Issei and a smile began to form on his face. The boy really did appear to be a total pervert, but one that amused him a lot.

He stayed in conversation with Issei for a few more hours. Until they finally said goodbye and each one went to their respective home.

A tired Asia slumped onto Edzard's chest. Her breathing was ragged and her body was covered in sweat.

"I never thought that someone who was once a nun could have such a sexual appetite." Edzard said as he combed Asia's hair.

Asia blushed and turning her face away, she pouted. She didn't know why, but both she and Edzard were very sexually active. If possible, they made love every day and for several hours. But try as she might, she could never make Edzard end up exhausted.

Edzard just laughed softly as he watched Asia stop pouting and lay her head on his chest.

As Edzard continued to comb Asia's hair, he remembered what had happened during the three weeks they had been in Kuoh. He had managed to make a tenuous friendship with Issei and with his parents. In fact, they got along so well that they had been invited to dinner. At that dinner they met Issei's parents. His mother was named Miki Hyoudou and his father Gorou Hyoudou. Miki was a middle-aged woman with dark brown hair tied in a ponytail and hazel eyes. Gorou, on his side, a middle-aged man with brown hair and brown eyes. Also, he was wearing glasses and it showed that he was poorly shaven.

They had had dinner and they had told him how happy they were that Issei had a new friend other than the two perverts he always spent time with. In fact, when Miki found out that he and Asia were married, and that they had Marie for a daughter, she cried with happiness. She hoped that he would help Issei get a girlfriend. And as always, they could not miss the questions about at what age Asia had become pregnant.

He and Asia had decided to bury forever the fact that Marie had once been their adopted daughter. Because of what he had been told that Asia had become pregnant at fourteen. Then came the question that annoyed Edzard the most. The question of whether Marie was his daughter, since they did not share a surname. That damn question had been asked in various places already. First, the police station in Romania. Second, the airport. Third, in migrations when they arrived in Japan.

'Besides, I don't understand why it is frowned upon for a couple our age to already have a child.' Edzard thought annoyed, as he was tired of the gossip people said when they found out that he and Asia were parents at their age .

Sighing, he also thought about what had happened at the mall. He had also met the girl, but unlike what happened to his wife, the girl fled quickly the moment they crossed paths. This due to the powerful killer instinct that he had unleashed on her.

'That's the least you deserve for daring to make my daughter cry. Well, I better sleep. After all, we are leaving for our new location tomorrow.'

After thinking about that, Edzard closed his eyes and slept.

While Edzard, Asia and Marie rested, four people gathered in a dimly lit room. These people were Rias Gremory, Akeno Himejima, Sona Sitri, and Tsubaki Shinra. Rias and Akeno had been the two young women who had seen Asia at the mall.

"So, Sona. Have you learned anything from the girl I mentioned two weeks ago?" Rias asked looking at her friend. After her encounter with that girl at the mall, she had asked Sona for help in locating the girl.

"No, Rias. I haven't found anything about that girl." Sona replied. She is a young woman with short black hair and violet eyes. She wears a pair of red glasses and the same outfit as Rias.

"Tsubaki?"

"Just like you Kaichou. I couldn't find anything about that mysterious girl." Tsubaki replied. She is a young woman who had black hair down to more than the middle of her back. She has open bangs and heterochromatic eyes, the right being light brown and the left being a shade of violet. She wears a pair of blue-framed glasses. She also wears the same clothes as Rias.

Rias put her hand to her mouth and desperately began to bite a nail. She had felt the power of that girl and was in awe of how much of it she possessed.

'That level of power is easily at the level of a High-class devil. If I can reincarnate her, it could be very helpful when he shows up.' Rias thought.

"Rias. I know you're running out of time, but chasing a chimera won't help you at all." Sona said looking worriedly at her old friend. Ever since Rias had asked her for help, she had spent a great deal of resources trying to figure out who the girl was, but she couldn't find anything in the city records.

"Fu, fu, fu. Kaichou. I was there when Buchou met that girl. And the truth is that the aura that that girl emitted was very strong." Akeno said with a smile.

Sona looked at her friend's queen and began to believe that this mysterious girl did indeed exist, but before she could say anything she was interrupted by a pink bat. This bat landed on Rias's shoulder and began to screech something in the young woman's ear.

Rias smiled when she heard the news that her familiar had brought her. She had found her, she had found the mysterious girl she had seen. Apparently, the girl was staying in the penthouse of the best hotel in Kuoh.

"Rias?" Sona asked seeing her friend smile.

"I found it, Sona."

"I see. What do you plan to do?"

"I plan to visit her tomorrow after school. I am going to propose that you join my peerage." Rias said with conviction.

Little did Lucifer's sister know that the person she planned to visit would long disappear from Kuoh many hours before she attempted to visit her.

The sun was shining on the mountains of Romania as Edzard and Asia headed towards the place where the meeting of Marius Tepes and his mysterious ally would take place. They had left Maire at the house Edzard had rented in Switzerland.

"Ed. Are you sure it's around here? " Asia asked as she looked around. She currently wore her combat outfit, which consisted of a Master Restoration Wizard's hooded robe over a Mithril chainmail with brown pants and thigh-high boots. She currently wore her hair up to make it easier for her to fight hand-to-hand. At the back of her belt was a bag of potions and a few scrolls. And on the left side of her belt hung a Mithril sword.
