Naru was no stranger to action. His clashes with mages in Sekoyoma had caused much property damage and on one occasion he even destroyed an entire apartment building. However, the clash between the two servants was on a different scale from anything Naru had ever seen. The destruction they caused to the forest was immense. Trees were uprooted and tossed around, large pieces of the ground flipped over, and entire bushes were obliterated! All of this mayhem caused by the actions of a small female knight fighting a monster twice her size.

Naru could watch the battle between them all day, but he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. Movement. It was barely noticeable, but it was there. Someone else was watching the battle. Before Naru could do anything, the mysterious figure ran away. Naru chased after them. He knew they had something to do with Assassin.

Naru: "Hey! Get back here!"

Naru managed to catch up to them. He tackled them to the ground once he was at an appropriate distance. However, when he tackled them, he didn't land on their back, rather he found his face between a familiar pair of breasts.

?: "Eeek! Don't rape me! You're probably not going to listen anyway, but if you are going to rape me, please do anal! I don't want to get pregnant! I don't want- hm? Oh! Hi Naru! How's it going!"

It was Brook Hackerman, the dimwitted American girl he had met two days ago!

Naru: "Um…what are you doing here?"

Brook: "I have no clue! What are YOU doing here? Haha! No one ever expects the Uno reverse card!"

Naru: "Um? Okay? Forget it! Let me help you up."

Naru reached out his hand and Brook accepted it. As he helped her up, he froze. What looked like three question marks arranged in a circular pattern was on her hand. She had command spells! She was a master!

Brook: "Hey, whatcha looking at-"

Brook also froze after seeing similar marks on Naru's hand. The two teens looked at each other, neither of them moving as they realized that they were holding hands with the enemy. Naru made the mistake of speaking first.

Naru: "Um…"

Click!

Before he could do anything, Brook was already pointing a gun at his head.

Brook: "Don't move!"

Naru was completely taken off guard. Of all the things he expected this girl to do, he didn't expect her to pull a gun out of her jacket and hold him hostage!

Brook: "I said don't move!"

Naru: "I'm not!"

Brook: "Liar! You blinked! That counts as moving!"

Naru ducked out of the way as Brook fired the shot. The bullet grazed the side of his head. He then grabbed her arm while she was firing and pinned her against a tree.

Naru: "Calm down! I don't want to fight you!"

Brook: "Hng! That makes one of us! Now let me go you asshole!"

Brook kicked him in the groin, sending him to his knees. Brook took the opportunity to try and shoot him, but Naru quickly recovered and knocked her hand away, causing her to fire at a nearby tree. Naru then grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her back, causing her to drop her gun.

Brook: "Let me go! I'm not going to let you kill me just so you can sacrifice Assassin just to get a stupid cup!"

Naru: "Huh? What are you talking abo-"

Naru finally understood why Brook was being so aggressive. She was trying to protect Assassin. She had thought Naru had come to kill her as a way of dealing with Assassin since that was what more cold-hearted mage would do.

Naru: "Brook, I think you might have made a mistake. I want to quit the Holy Grail war.

Brook: "Huh?"

Naru: "I got into this thing by accident, and I don't want to participate because of all the things I'm dealing with already. Now, I know you don't trust me just yet-"

Brook: "Okay fair enough!"

Naru: "...but I- hold on, you're convinced already?"

Brook: "Yeah! I got into this by accident too! It's nice knowing there is someone else who is going through the same thing makes me feel relieved!"

Naru: "Okay then…that's not the reaction I was expecting. I'm going to let you go now."

Brook: "Hm? Oh yeah! I'm pinned! I was wondering why my tits were hurting!"

Naru: "I did not need to hear that! How did she forget she was pinned down?"

Naru once again helped her up. This time, Brook was much more cooperative and didn't try to attack him.

Brook: "Thanks Naru! You're the best!"

Naru: "Yeah whatever. We should probably stop our servants from fighting and clear up this misunderstanding."

Brook: "Good Idea! Oh yeah, I'm going to need my gun back. I need it for self-defense."

Naru: "I don't trust you enough to give it back."

Brook: "Aww come on! Pleeeaaase!"

Naru: "No."

BrooK: "Pretty please!"

Naru: "No."

Brook: "Pretty, pretty please!"

Naru: "No."

Brook: "Pretty, pretty, pretty please!"

Naru: "No."

Brook: "Pretty, pretty, pre-"

Naru: "Okay, I'm going to stop you right there! My answer's not changing no matter how many 'pretties' you add to your 'please.' The answer's still no!"

Brook: "Hmph! You're no fun! Just like Studio Deen! What if I offered something useful in exchange? Would that get you to trust me?"

Naru: *sigh* "Brook, you're not even a mage. I doubt you have anything I would find 'useful.'"

Brook: "What about Assassin's true name?"

Naru's eyes widened. That was very valuable information, yet Brook would give it away just like that? Absurd!

Brook: "Oh? Did that catch your attention? I said it with bold letters to make it extra enticing!"

Naru: "Hmm….fine! You can have your peashooter back!"

Naru handed the gun back to her.

Brook: "See? Was that so hard?"

Naru: "Shut up. What's Assassin's true name?"

Brook: "Ok, are you ready for this? Assassin's true name is…"

Naru: "..."

Brook: "Sorry readers! You're going to have to wait for the next chapter to figure that out!"

Naru: "WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO!"

By the way, in case it wasn't obvious, Brook can break the 4th wall.
