An awkward silence had filled the main room that was the room that Edzard and his lovers shared. An hour had already passed since the end of the ceremony where the Youkai received a part of territory to settle on a semi-permanent basis.

"Val, you're right. You are supposed to be the one with political experience among all of us in this room." Aika pointed out with a very big smile on her face.

Seeing that, Edzard felt a chill run down his spine, for that smile was not one of joy, but one of anger.

'They have every right to be angry. I've been to various courts, I've navigated the politics of the Imperial Legion, but despite that, I trusted myself. I trusted Yasaka to be able to control what people asked of him and that has led to problems with my family.' Edzard thought as he grew angry internally. However, he decided not to make a scene, so letting out a deep sigh, he stood up and spoke. "Girls, I know you're angry…"

"Angry?" Asia interrupted with a dark aura covering her body. "No, honey. We are not angry. We are only on the verge of using our most powerful attacks to finish off that fox."

(Glup) Edzard swallowed a little as he finished hearing those words, because the body of Asia, Lint, Aika, Valerie and Mittelt were surrounded by such dark auras that he feared that they would absorb all the light in the room.

"Who will it be?" asked Lint, looking at the door with mild curiosity, for strict orders had been given not to be disturbed.

"Don't know. But I suppose it's worth seeing who it is." Asia answered as she approached the door.

The moment the door opened, Edzard felt like the world was going to shit, for there at the door was the person who had brought hell to this family, standing there wagging their tails in a way that looked like almost lazy along with a smile on her face, was Yasaka.

The group of seven people had moved from the main room to the larger balcony nearby. Thus, right now they were all sitting at a round table.

The previously tense atmosphere was now on another level, a level that could be cut with a butter knife.

"Then, Yasaka-sama. What has brought you here?" Asia asked with a very fake smile.

Yasaka looked at Edzard's lovers and without thinking twice, stood up and bowing, apologized. "I am so sorry."

Yasaka's apology took the girls by surprise, who didn't think that she would come to apologize so soon.

"I'm sorry, truly. An arranged marriage between me and Edzard-dono was not supposed to be requested." Yasaka said sadly as she kept her head down.

The kyubi stopped bowing and looking at Edzard, she answered. "Nothing about a marriage was ever included on the scroll when it was shown to me before the ceremony."

"Yes, I remember that." Edzard said, clearly remembering that that request wasn't there at the beginning.

"What do you mean? That this request came out of nowhere?" Mittelt asked mockingly.

Although it seemed that no one would respond to that mockery, it was Edzard who decided to answer the question of his lover.

"The truth is that's how it happened."

Edzard's response caused all the girls to look at him, making curious and confused faces.

"How so, Ed? What do you mean?" Valerie asked, looking her lover straight into his eyes.

"I read the terms first and at no time was there that request." Edzard replied, trying to sound as convincing as possible, to convince his lovers.

Edzard's words caused the girls to look at each other and start whispering among themselves. While a normal person wouldn't have been able to hear what they were saying, both Edzard and Yasaka weren't normal people, so they could clearly hear what they were talking about. "The truth is that I don't know how it was done." Edzard replied, putting a hand to his chin. Closing his eyes, he began to think about how this had happened. After thinking for a few seconds, he heaved a sigh, as he didn't know how they had gotten past his magical detection. "Ahhh…. The truth is that, even though I think about it a lot, I can't understand how they managed to get past my sense of smell."

Edzard's words confused Yasaka, but before she could ask anything, Asia interrupted her.

"It's true. I had forgotten that you can smell magic." Pointed at Asia as she playfully stuck out her tongue, then made a more serious face. "Whatever they used must be something very powerful or perhaps unknown to us, for you can smell the magic and detect it. While you only recognized magic from Nirm at first, now you can recognize the magic of beings from this world by smell."

"That's right, that's why I'm worried. What they have used is something that I have not detected in my entire life and that is really alarming."

After Edzard's words, the girls fell silent, after which, everyone from Edzard to Yasaka began to think about what had happened. However, it seemed that they would have no luck, since no one could detect what was happening. Although, that changed when Yasaka remembered the reason why she came to see them.

"I think I have a clue as to what happened." Yasaka said, thus drawing everyone's attention. After seeing that she had the attention of those present in the room, she waved her hand and conjured something.

"Wine?" Lint asked with a raised eyebrow as she looked at what Yasaka had conjured up was a bottle of wine.

"This wine was purchased by one of the youkais who helped draft the request scroll. They drank it when the work was almost finished." Yasaka replied as she uncorked the wine.

A strong scent of grapes filled the room, containing a sweetness so cloying that Edzard felt uncomfortable smelling it.

'This wine smells very strange. It's too sweet.' Thought Edzard who then began to frown as Yasaka didn't react like someone who is very close to a very cloying smell would. "Lady Yasaka. Why are you so normal? Doesn't the smell of that wine make you sick?"

Edzard's words caused the youkai to shake her head, since she didn't smell anything.

"What smell are you talking about, Ed? I don't smell anything. And you girls? Valerie asked looking at her friends.

"Nothing. I don't smell anything." Asia replied.

Aika, Mittelt, and Lint nodded as they didn't smell anything either.

Edzard's face filled with concern, so he, extending his hand, he took the bottle and bringing it to her mouth, he took a drink.

Edzard's action caused his lovers and Yasaka to look at him in concern.

"Ed! / Edzard-dono!" all the women in the room yelled as they stood up and snatched the bottle from Edzard.

Edzard sat there without saying anything, because he began to have a dejavü, since the taste of that wine reminded him of something.

Edzard started yelling all sorts of expletives at the sky. Many of these insults were spoken in the different languages he knew, and they were all directed at a single being, Sanguine. And it is that the last Dovahkiin managed to find out what had happened.

When he finished yelling, he realized that he was calm enough not to kill anyone. After that, he sat down again and began to tell what had happened. With every word he said, the girls began to calm down about the betrothal matter but began to worry about what had happened.

"So, you're telling me that a Prince dared to play a «Joke» on my advisors and ended up controlling them to write about the betrothal." Yasaka said with palpable anger in her voice.

"That's right." Edzard replied as he nodded.

"Those damn daedras." Said Yasaka, surprising everyone, as they didn't expect the Youkai leader to insult Sanguine. "It is not enough for them to take our ancestral home from us, but now they have also dared to try to make it so that we cannot stay in this place."

After those words, the place was silenced and the only thing that could be heard was the sound of the birds that were in the nearby lake.

"Now that we know the marriage thing was a Sanguine prank. Couldn't we, you know, override it?" Mittelt asked looking at Edzard.

"It's not that easy, Mittelt." Asia replied, surprising the girls.

"Why's that? I mean, it just takes the deal being broken and… I see." Aika said, understanding what was happening.

"I see you've noticed. I can't break that agreement, just like that. To break it would be to make the world believe that I am expelling the Youkai from this world." Edzard said as he looked at his lovers and then put his hand to his head and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "This is a real problem, but for now we can't break it. So it's best to pretend the marriage has been accepted until we figure out how to break it off without political consequences."

Edzard's words caused his lovers to grunt in annoyance, but then sigh in resignation. After that, the girls looked into each other's eyes and a second later they nodded. Getting up one by one, the girls walked towards the door and without warning, they took Yasaka by the arms of her and began to lead her from the place.

Edzard watched Yasaka being dragged towards the palace and just said goodbye to her, putting a dark smile on his face.

"Kuroka, can you stop hanging on my arm, please." Edzard asked as he tried to move his left arm, which was trapped between the nekomata's large breasts.

After that, Edzard was there for a few more seconds and when he felt that the blade had already hardened, he took it out of the barrel and took it to a press, where he would let it rest until tomorrow. Heaving a sigh, the son of Akatosh walked over to a steel coat rack and hung his smith's apron on it.

"So, I guess you're leaving today?" Edzard asked as he approached the group.

"Yes, we'll go back to our business today in the afternoon." Answered Vali, who was leaning against a wall.

"I see." Edzard said approaching Vali and when he was in front of the half-devil, he reached into a pocket of his pants. When he found what he was looking for, he took it out and handed it over to her.

"A card?" Vali asked seeing a black card. Besides, he didn't understand why Edzard was giving it to him.

His teammates, except for Zakir, approached him and began to see the card. However, no one knew what was happening.

"Ed, what's on that card?" asked Le Fay turning from looking at the card and starting to look at Edzard.

"It's a debit card." Edzard replied, surprising the members of Vali's team.

Edzard's words caused Bikou and Kuroka to look at the card in very poorly concealed surprise.

"For what you did, your team has my support for whatever they need. If you need anything, just call me." Edzard said as he released his grip on Vali's hand. "If you wonder how you'll do it, I'll tell Le Fay the way they can communicate with me."

Vali nodded before speaking. "The truth is that I do want a favor."

"Umm. Ok, what do you need?" Edzard asked, somewhat confused why Vali wanted so soon.

"I want to fight you right now."

Edzard looked at Vali and after blinking for a few seconds, he smiled and shook his head.

As everyone watched, Edzard reached into his pocket and pulled out a note, which he handed to Zakir. The Lilmothiit put on a smile and pocketed the note.

"What is that note?" Le Fay asked seeing the exchange.

"It's just a friendly bet." Edzard replied.

"What bet?" Bikou asked, beginning to figure out what the bet was about.

"I bet the brat that Vali would ask him for a match before we leave this realm."

Zakir's answer made everyone look at Edzard, who just shook his shoulders.

"And what did they bet?" Vali asked, narrowing his eyes as he looked at both heroes.

"A few barrels of wine." Zakir answered as he began to go looking for a servant, to whom he would give the note to give him the barrels.

As the Lilmothiit left the room, Vali looked back at Edzard and waited for his response.

"I'm sorry, Vali. But for now, I can't fulfill that favor." Edzard replied. "Another time maybe."

Vali looked at Edzard intensely, but in the end, he nodded, as he understood that Edzard had many more duties to fulfill.

After that, all the members of Vali's team started to leave, but they didn't all leave, as one stayed. The person who stayed there was Arthur.

"Do you need anything, Pendragon?" Edzard asked looking at his friend's older brother.

"Actually, I need to ask you for a favor, Edzard-dono." Arthur responded seriously.

The way Arthur spoke made Edzard curious, so he nodded.

"Thank you so much." Arthur said, to then tell him what he needed. "I would like to know if you would agree to Le Fay and one other person staying in this place should the need arise."

Edzard looked at Arthur and after thinking about it for a few seconds, he answered. "I don't see any problem with that."

Arthur put on a smile at Edzard's response. "I see… it seems that Le fay was right. You are a very kind person."
