Author note: The is the REWRITTEN version of Plus Ultra!, so I need to put a trigger warning.

Triggers: Death, insanity, blood, blanked-out swearing (it's MHA so they're going to swear but I always censor it), derealization, and perverted behavior (again, it's MHA and no matter how much I hate pervs, there's going to be one in every anime *angry emoticon*)

This is planned to be shorter than Plus Ultra! originally was (so hopefully draco07 won't lose track of the story this time...) so I'm jumping straight into the important arcs (staring with Dimentio's).

Stay Fresh!~CaramelPhoenix

Dimentio scratched another line into the wall. Five years, three months, and sixty one days. The guard banged the cell bars.

"Time for breakfast. Get up and get out. Then it's off to work."

Dimentio followed the same schedule every day. Breakfast, work, dinner, and lights out. They never got lunch, and some other prisoners were already resorting to cannibalism because of the disgusting food and lack of three proper meals. Dimentio, of course, knew it wasn't worth his time. The less prisoners, the better. If only he could escape this magic-blocking cage he was trapped in. Not only would it make work easier, but it would also give him the opportunity to break out, which is why he was in that accursed prison.

Only the worst of the worst went to that place. Dimentio was counted as one of them. The guards never seemed to care that Dimentio always carried a fork around. In fact, he was constantly mocked for being insane.

"There he goes. Is he going to do something with that thing?"

"I saw him counting the days to his death with that fork. He has lines all up and down his walls!"

"He's probably using it like some sort of comfort item. It'll help him feel less insane."

Dimentio didn't care because they were right. He was insane, and that made the prisoners scared of him. He could run his own mafia with how much they'd be willing to do to stay on his good side. Dimentio used the cannibals to his advantage. If someone failed to please him, they became food for those...less fortunate. A brutal strategy, sure, but a working one. Dimentio usually didn't resort straight to aggression, but as a cat who liked to play with its prey, he loved seeing the fearful expressions every time someone would "slip up."

He sat at his usual table, waiting for his remaining loyal subjects to show. Only two sat down with him. One was a female who'd apparently went on a murderous spree after her boyfriend denied her, and the other was a guy who never spoke and who's past was unknown. Dimentio liked him, since he not only was the most obedient, but also reminded Dimentio of himself.

"So, what do you want?"

Dimentio rested his chin in his hand. "That's no way to talk to your superior, is it? No matter. Your use to me is running low anyhow. I have a plan of escape."

"Great, so what is it?"

"As if I would tell you now. When we get to work, is when I'll explain. And the plan will start at dinner today. Failure to do exactly as I say and you'll have a feel on how it is to be eaten alive. I've made sure to starve them further, just for you two!"

Wendy, the female servant, rubbed her neck. "We're trying our hardest here."

"I know, and that deserves you a 'treat,' right? They also work hard and deserve a treat."

"You really creep me out..."

"Do you want to leave or not?"

"I do, and that's the only reason I keep sticking with you."

"Great. We'll meet at work and discuss our plan of attack. See you then, my faithful crew."

The plan was simple. They would start a riot at dinner to lead the guards astray. Wendy would cut all the power, something she was good at, and set the entire jail into disarray. While the guards were focused on the now magical prisoners, and Wendy was in the control room with Hangman as her guard and Dimentio as a scout, they would leave together and finally get away from that place of torture. The thing is, Dimentio came with that plan the first week he was there, but he needed only the best of the best, and let their skill pick off the sour grapes. And Wendy and Hangman survived until the end, so they were now his right-hand men.

Wendy and Hangman both agreed on the plan-Dimentio assuming the latter agreed, anyhow-and now waited for the perfect chance to strike. Dimentio kept a keen eye out for the biggest, strongest-looking person out of all the prisoners. It came down to one person, and one person alone.

Hangman.

Dimentio walked to him. "Hangman, I've had an unfortunate change in plans. You're no longer accompanying Wendy to the control room. Fear not, as I'll still be by her side."

"Wait, what are you going on about?" Wendy asked. "We had a plan!"

"I know, and sometimes plans change." He pat Hangman's shoulder. "He's the largest guy in this entire prison. I'm certain our good friend can start a riot in no time."

Hangman rose to his feet, holding the tray of food.

"See? He agrees. Go, start some crime."

He walked broadly to another table and flipped his tray onto a man's head. The other man was extremely aggravated and started a fight with Hangman almost immediately. Others who sides with either Hangman or the worthless scrap of meat brought the fight into a full frenzy. To make sure it stayed going long enough, Dimentio even threw in a bone for the cannibals.

"Oops! I guess my hand slipped!" He started to the control room, avoiding the crowd.

"Hey, you're going to get Hangman killed with the cannibals in there!" Wendy defended the man, for whatever reason.

"I know, but that's a price I'm willing to pay." Dimentio hid against the wall when guards stormed past.

They snuck their way to the control room. Wendy checked through the small window, then went back to Dimentio.

"There are a few guards in there. What do we do?"

"Easy targets, I'm assuming. Either way, we won't be able to shut down the power without a fight." Dimentio tip-toed to the door, making no sound, and checked the room himself. "Only two guards? We already outnumber them with me here. Be prepared to fight, Wendy. Grab anything you can use as a weapon."

Wendy picked the lock and slowly opened the door. Quiet as a mouse, Dimentio snuck into the room. He covered the nearest guard's mouth and grabbed his neck. He motioned with his head for Wendy to keep moving.

Dimentio knew Wendy couldn't sneak around as good as him. After all, he'd spent hours training with O' Chunks on how to make himself unable to be heard. If he got caught, he'd get a penalty punch to the face. O' Chunks was quite strong, and Dimentio had even broken his nose during one of the training sessions. But he'd finally mastered the art of silent sneaking, without needing any noise-muffling garb. The skill proved helpful in situations where he couldn't fly, such as here.

Unfortunately, she was caught.

Dimentio had no more time to waste and snapped the guard's neck. Wendy fought off the other guard as Dimentio took the first one's gun and shot the other through the head.

"Dead as a doorbell," he said in joyous glee as he watched the guard fall to the ground.

"Thanks," Wendy said, and crossed to the control panel. "Let there be darkness!"

She played with the controls until the lights flickered out. Dimentio heard her band, which blocked her powers, snap. His snapped off shortly after.

"You have my gratitude, Wendy. You've truly been helpful."

"Alright, so how do we get out of here? We have to move fast before guards come and get us."

"That's where you're wrong," Dimentio said, rubbing the fork against his knuckle. "Unfortunately, the escape boats only have room for one person."

"You're going to let me go? Oh, wait! We can grab two boats! One for each of us!"

"Fortunately, I won't need one. You've served me well, but it's time for us to part ways."

"...What? But you just said-"

"Your usefulness has run dry. I used you for what I needed, but now I have no other use for you. You're to take blame for this entire escape, so I appreciate you for being worthy enough for that. Au revoir, Wendy."

He flicked the fork into her knee, and she fell screaming. She tried to grab the officer's gun, but he shot her hand with the one he'd stolen previously. He kicked her in the head, just to belittle her. He walked out the door, turning invisible as he did, and teleported away.
