If you're scanning over this for the first time or finished my fan fiction and are here for the extra chapters, welcome to the In-Betweens!
Overall, the whole purpose of these chapters is to add more to the characters and the world. By the characters, I generally mean Niles and the others. Given the story I wanted to tell with Fusion and Iron, there were some threads I wish I could've tied into it and I felt like it would've added on more than what was necessary. Additionally, some of these were meant to be heightened in the sequel fic.
So, for here, these chapters are ideas I finally decided to jot down, edit, and send out for the people who enjoy my stuff. These moments that occur in the timeline are still canon, so they still happen and exist.
Additionally, with a couple of these, they'll be able to help me as the author build up some moments later and pretty much line up a few plot points I'd like to write. What started initially as just some creative vent for my childhood favorite game has now turned into me taking on my own interpretation of an MMO world.
If I were to honestly think for a moment in retrospect, it's taking the boundaries of the FusionFall sandbox and bending the rules with what I want to write. Again, I have to remind myself that this is fan fiction and not to take it too seriously, but I enjoy taking it seriously if I were to be honest about myself. On a personal note, I like focusing on the little details like this and following a format that I can create to help me.
I don't know how many chapters I will post, but I will have a handful. There may not be a steady schedule either, so stay tuned!
Iron and Glory may come out before I finish these, so I may continue even when I'm working on the sequel.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy these little add-ons as well.
