Hey Guys :)
Sorry it took me soooo long to continue. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue due to all the news about she who must not be named. I want to point out that I do NOT share these views. TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS! if you disagree feel free to leave.
Work, Covid and a dog in puberty also kept me busy. My Dog's name is Merlin by the way. He's an Aussie. I love him to death. I've had to deal with long covid unfortunately which made my brain go foggy. But I will try my best to keep working on my stories. I am also trying to write my own book so that will take some time. Hope you like this chapter. Year three will be short. I hope you guys won't mind. Year four is were it will get interesting.
Please enjoy :)
Harry Norwood
Chapter 17
When he awoke all of his friends were starring down at him. Neville grabbed his arms and helped him get up. "How did I end up on the floor? What happened?" he asked confused looking around. There was a man he did not know standing in the doorway. The light was back on and the train moving again.
"Eat this. It will help." the man said and handed him a chocolate bar. Still confused Harry took it
"Who are you?"
"Remus Lupin. I'll be your new defense against the dark arts teacher this year. Now If you'll excuse me I like to have a word with the driver. Eat the chocolate." with that the man left.
"It was scary," started Hannah.
"Like I would never experience happiness again." Susan added.
"The Dementor seemed to mostly focus on you and then you were on the floor and then Professor Lupin came in and chased it off you." Neville said quite fast. Harry slowly took a bite from the chocolate.
"Why were they here? What did they want?" he asked.
"We don't know." Daphne shrugged.
"I will definitely write my Aunt about this." Susan stated. Everyone nodded.
"Did anything else happen? Anyone else went out?" Harry asked. They all shook the heads.
"Not that we know. We were alright. Just shaken." Hannah said. Harry leaned back into the seat and closed his eyes.
The rest of the ride was unspectacular though Harry still wasn't quite himself. Once at the Castle they were greeted by Professor Sprout and McGonagal. They ushered Harry and Grant away from the great hall. They were led to the infirmary. Apparently Grant was also affected by the Dementors and Madam Pomfrey wanted to check them out. Grant didn't say a word about what happened to him but Harry had a pretty good idea as he was given chocolate as well. They missed the sorting but Harry didn't care. Dumbledore made a speech about the Dementors and that they would be stations around Hogwarts for everyones safety. Susan made a note to ask her Aunt about it. Harry hardly listend. He was hungry and tried. He didn't quite remember how he gotten to bed.
Sleep wasn't his friend that night. The nightmare plagued him quite a bit. He was up at sunrise meditating. It would be a rough day for him. When he noticed the others waking up he quickly got ready. A nice shower will surly wake him up. When he looked at his new timetable he was excited to see that he would have all three of his electives that day, starting with Arithmancy.

"Looks like a good timetable this year, though Thursday kind of sucks." commented Justin as he saw Harry packing his books. Harry nodded. When they were all ready they made their way up.
"So what do you have first?" Susan asked as they sat down for breakfast.
"Muggel Studies" said Ernie and Zacharias together.
"Why?" asked Hannah curious.
"Why not. Sounds interesting." Ernie started. Zacharias leaned closer in.
"If they are learning about our customs we should learn about theirs." he whispered. The other understood.
"Well I have Divination." Neville chimed in. The other looked at him funny.
"Why?" Now it was Ernies time to ask.
"Gran wants me to take it." Neville answered looking down. The others looked apologetically at him. Breakfast was over shortly after that and they all went to class. Arithmancy came easy for Harry as it was somewhat like muggle maths, which was one of hid better subjects at primary. The free period he spend in the library researching Dementors. It wasn't easy to find a book though. Madame Pince commented that most of them had already been taken by other students. The one he found wasn't big but had enough information for him for now.
A Dementor was a gliding wraithlike Dark creature, widely considered to be one of the foulest of the Dark creatures to inhabit the Wizarding world. Dementors literally fed on human happiness and thus generated feelings of depression and despair in any person in close proximity to them. They could also consume a person's soul, leaving their victims in a permanent vegetative spell, and thus were often referred to as "soul-sucking fiends", and the people they left soulless were deemed to have been turned into an "empty-shell".
Dementors were closely associated with Azkaban, as they were formerly employed by the British Ministry of Magic as the prison guards, and were not known to permanently inhabit any other location. No one had ever demonstrated the ability to kill a Dementor, by Avadh Kedavra or otherwise, implying that they couldn't be killed through physical means, but could only be driven away or temporarily kept at bay. One of the few ways to shield oneself from Dementors was by the very difficult Patronus Charm. The charm summoned a Patronus, a magical manifestation of good will and happiness, providing varied levels of protection against the Dementors' influence, based on the caster's strength as a wizard.
Harry starred at the text for a while thinking. 'How difficult is that spell?' 'Could I learn that?' And why were they on the Train to begin with?' The chatter of other students brought him back again and he noticed people leaving. Harry got up, returned the book, and went off to Lunch. Just as he was about to round the corner towards the great hall he was stopped by non other than Grant Potter.
"Look I am sorry for what happened to you on the train." He sort of mumbled without looking Harry in the eyes. Standing so close to Grant it was eerie just how similar they actually were. Same messy black hair. Same thin face. The only difference were the eye colour, that Harry used contacts while Grant uses rectangular glasses and that Harry kept his hair shorter. Harry was so caught off guard that he hardly registered what the other boy had said.
"Huh?" was his only response. Grant seemed slightly annoyed at that.
"I said I was sorry for what happened to you on the Train." Now Harry was even more confused.
"Why are you sorry for that. It's not your fault right? You didn't send them or did you?" Grant looked both flustered and shocked at the accusation.
"What no never." He caught him self and took a deep breath. "They were send to keep me save." was all he added before leaving abruptly.
"Why?" Harry called after him but Grant just walked faster into the great hall. When Harry finally reached the hall he saw Grant sitting with Ron and the other Weasleys including Ginny. The Twins were making some sort of joke and they all laughed. Harry walked over to his friends.
"Something weird just happened." He said as he sat down next to Neville. They all looked at him. "Grant just apologised to me for the Dementor attack."
"Seriously?" exclaimed several people. Harry nodded.
"He said they were there to protect him." The others looked at him confused. Harry just shrugged. "He left after that." Susan appeared to be deep in thought.
"I think I know why. Well, sort of." With that she had the others attention. "I overheard my Aunt mumbling quite often during the summer. I know eavesdropping is bad but I couldn't help it. She said something about..." she looked around to make sure no one else was listening before she continued, "a break out from Azkaban. Some Death Eater I think." Everyone looked shocked.
"I haven't read anything about that in the paper. That would be front page." Hannah commented.
"They probably keep quiet about it to not cause panic." Susan answered.
"Or admitting to failure and avoid consequences." Ernie added. The others nodded.
"That would make sense. Do you know who though?" Harry asked quietly. Susan shook her head no.
"Oh well nothing we can do about it. Let's just hope they won't come for more Students." With that they went back to class.
Care of Magical Creatures was located in a clearing near in the forest. Hagrid was the new teacher. The first lesson was on Hippogriffs. But the first test was how to open the book. Its called the monster book of monsters and the shop keeper in diagon alley was very frustrated with them. There was no insturuction on how to handle them.
"You have to stroke the spine!" Hagrid instructed the students. The class was interesting enough. Hippogriffs are really facinating creatures. Harry patiently bowed to the hippogriff and waited. After a few moments it bowed back. Carefully harry touched it. It seemed to like it as the creature let Harry pet it.
On the other side of the clearing a cheer could he heard. Harry looked over and saw Grant proudly petting his hippogriff. A small crowd around him cheering. Hagrid seemed pleased as well a promptly picked the boy up and placed him on the creature. Again people cheered. Especially when the hippogriff took of. Others protested that they wanted to fly as well but Hagrid told them it was to dangerous because he didnt know how well of a flyer they were. Grant didn't return until the very end of the lesson. When he did Malfoy of course made the huge mistake in taunting the hippogriff which made the creature attack him. He was brought to the infirmary by Hagrid all while complaining.
I hope you enjoyed this short chapter. Like I said year three will be kept short.
