Author's notes: This is a new Chuck story. I do not own Chuck. This story will focus mostly on the first two seasons. Enjoy!

2003

It was a dark. Sarah Walker just finished her mission, her Red Test. She had some hard days before but nothing quite like this. This is was literaly the worst day of her life.

"Hello Agent Walker." said a man from behind.

Sarah drew her gun and she pointed it to the man.

"Give me a reason not to shot you." she said

"My name is Frank, Franks Mauser. I work for a organization named Fulcrum." said the man

"I never heard of you or your organization, and frankly I think you are a criminal. Guess what I kill criminals!" said Sarah

"Yes you kill criminals, but the question is if you want that? Do you really like working for the CIA?" asked Frank.

"So I should be working for you then? That's your pitch? Forget it, I am not a traitor!" said Sarah

"I am not a traitor. I am a patriot. My organisation did some questionable things and we are probably going to continue to do them. But at least we don't turn kids into killers. Like Langston Graham did to you. He arrested your father and then turned you into a killer." said Frank

"I am not a killer." said Sarah

"Really? So that poor woman you shot deserved to die?" asked Frank

"She was a traitor" said Sarah

"Is that what Graham said to you. Agent Walker you are working for the CIA. Not everyone has honest intentions." said Frank

"So what? You are being honest?" said Sarah

"I am going to take something from my briefcase for you to look at. If you don't shot me you may find that I am your friend." said Frank.

Sarah took a minute to think and then nodded towars Frank. She didn't let her gun down and she paid close attention to his movements.

Frank opened his briefcase and then gave Sarah some files and a paper with his phone number.

"Look at the files and then if you are interested in making the people who used you pay for what they did call me." said Frank.

"So you can use me as well?" asked Sarah as she took the files.

"At least with Fulcrum you will always know what you get. We won't lie to you." said Frank as he left.

Sarah went back to her hotel room in Paris. She started studying the files. She saw a transcript between Graham and the his partner, a guy named Mosely.

Mosely: Why the hell did you arrest that piece of trash named Burton. It was a con artist. He deserved to die.

Graham: I didn't care about Burton. I cared about his daughter. The girl is a skilled liar. With proper training she will become one of the best CIA agents.

Mosely: And let me guess you will be her mentor. You will use her to launch your career.

Graham: And people say you don't have brain...

Mosely: If she finds out what you did you will be in trouble.

Graham: What that I lured her father to a known terrorist and set him up so he can't have any other choice. He will either take prison or being dead? So I can use his girl and mold her into the perfect assasin

Mosely: Yes. If she finds out.

Graham: What she's going to do?

Mosely: You recruited her at 16 years old. She can just go to the press and ruin you. You're playing with fire, Langston.

Graham: The girl is an idiot. She won't find out.

Sarah finished reading the transcript. "He thinks he can use me. He thinks that I am an idiot. I will make the bastard pay!" thought Sarah.

Sarah continued reading the files. With every word she read her hatread towards Graham grew.

Graham saw her as a tool for him to get to his goals.

After finishing reading all the files regarding her recruitment in the CIA she thought on what she will do next. She could make everything public, but Graham had a lot a powerful friends so that won't work. Maybe run, but Graham could treat her like a traitor and put a kill order on her. Maybe the only way out of Graham hands was to became a traitor, to call Mauser and join Fulcrum. True Fulcrum will use her for their own goals, she will be their pawn but at least she could get a choice, she will always knew that that was her choice, that she wasn't being manipulated into joining them, and most importantly she will get her revenge towards Graham. In that moment she decided that she will join Fulcrum. She took her phone and called Mauser.

"I'm in." she said

"Glad to hear it. Welcome to Fulcrum Agent Walker!" said Mauser

In LA, Ellie Bartowski had to deal with his brother, Chuck. Chuck just got expelled from Standford after being framed by someone who once he called a friend. Also his girlfriend just broke out with him after sleeping with that friend, so Chuck was depressed. Actually it was worse and Ellie couldn't feel like she made things worse when she decided to move in with her boyfriend, in the same apartment where she and Chuck lived. At least Chuck had his best friend, Morgan, who even if he was annoying and sometimes kinda creepy, he was loyal. Morgan Grimes would have never betrayed Chuck Bartowski. Still Ellie wanted to do everything in her power to help her brother. Chuck was the only one who didn't abandoned her. Their parents left them. They were basicaly orphans. And now Chuck was betrayed in the worst way possible.

Chuck now worked at Buy More. His job was horrible. He hated every second of his life. He was so close to get his degree but Bryce Larkin ruined everything for him. He framed Chuck for cheating and then slept with his girlfriend. Chuck hated Bryce Larkin.

2007

Ellie Bartowski trew another party for Chuck's birthday. Like every year since Stanford, Ellie brought her female friends to the party with the hope Chuck will find a girlfriend.

"So what do you do?" asked one of the girls

"I work at a Buy More." said Chuck uncomfortably. "I actually went to Stanford, but I got framed for cheating."

"Stanford really? I know someone who went there. He was an accountant. Bruce something." said the girl

Chuck sighted. He knew this night won't go well.

As Chuck's birthday party was going on, Bryce Larkin (NOT AN ACCOUNTANT) just broke into a secure facility. He went to a terminal and downloaded something. As he started the download process he put pair of glasses on his eyes and said "It's hard to say goodbye." and then confirmed the command. The entire room proved to be built with a lot of monitors emmbeded into walls. When the proccess started a lot of images started flashing.

Outside the room an agent talked into his comms "It's Agent Larkin, it's downloading the Intersect!"

A lot of agents gathered outside the room equipped with assault riffles. Bryce finished the download and exited the room. He started beating the agents, one by one making his way outside the building. Just when he thought he was safe he got shot.

John Casey made his way down and checked Bryce's body. Near Bryce's body was a tablet displaying the words SENT.

Chuck's birthday party was horrible. After he helped his sister clean everything up he went into his room. Chuck couldn't forget what Ellie said to him "Just because a girl asks about your ex doesn't mean she's interested.". In Chuck's defense he wasn't ready for another relationship. Chuck checked his email and saw he got an message from Bryce.

He wasn't happy that his former friend, now nemessis sent him a message. He opened the email and saw a line from an old game.

"Really?" said Chuck as he typed Attack troll with nasty knife.

Chuck pressed enter. The computer started displaying a lot of images. After that the computer got fried and Chuck passed out.

Next morning Chuck wake up confused. What happened? Argh! My head!

Chuck went to the bathroom and took a aspirin and then went into the shower. Another horrible day in his life it's abput to start and all of it because Bryce Larkin.

Sarah Walker spent the last 5 years working as a double agent for Fulcrum. Fulcrum wanted her to infiltrate The CIA so she spent her last years doing Graham's bidding. Mostly assaination missions and she hated those, but there were the missions along the CAT Squad that she enjoyed, but of course that ended badly. Last year she was partnered up with Bryce Larkin, another CIA spy, Sarah found him arrogant and self-centered. Bryce even tried to sleep with her but Sarah was pretty clear from the start that he didn't had any chance. It wasn't like she didn't find him attractive, but she didn't want to risk letting him to close to her as he may find she was a duble agent.

Sarah was aware that Fulcrum tried to recruit Bryce, but he double crossed them. He destroyed the Intersect and then uploaded into his head. God, the guy is such an idiot! thought Sarah. She was now waiting for Graham orders, and as she was Bryce partner she expected a lot of bad things coming her way, but what she got surprised her. Apparently, Bryce sent the Intersect to a civilian, Chuck Bartowski, who lives in LA. Graham wanted Sarah to retrieve the Intersect. Sarah decided she will retrive the Intersect and let Fulcrum steal it later from The CIA and NSA, again. She didn't tell Fulcrum about her mission yet. It was too risky, because she didn't knew if she was being watched because of the whole Bryce situation.

Sarah's mission took an unexpected turn. She didn't thought Chuck was really a civilian but he really was. Chuck was a sweet, caring and honest man. Sarah didn't knew why Bryce sent Chuck the Intersect. At first she thought Chuck was linked with the spy world in a way, but Graham said to her that he was civilian. Graham told Sarah to consider Bartowski a threat, but she didn't think Chuck was a threat. Actually Sarah tried to steal Chuck's computer but that failed. Then she took Chuck on a date in case he had any backup to the drive. The date was wonderful and made Sarah to fully realize Chuck didn't knew anything about the Intersect. Well at least until Casey arrived.

John Casey was a NSA agent. He followed orders. So Sarah needed to be careful, but she decided that Chuck didn't deserved to be thrown in a dark small room where he'll be tortured and then probably killed. Chuck, Sarah and Casey eventually ended up on a roof. This was the first time where Chuck flashed. Sarah realized that Chuck must've uploaded the Intersect. They eventually stopped a bomb from killing a decorated general. Soon after both Sarah and Casey were assigned as Chuck's handlers.

Sarah found Chuck on a beach. He spent the whole night there.

"I can't run or hide?" asked Chuck

"Not from us!" answerd Sarah, but she didn't knew what us she was refering to CIA and NSA or FULCRUM. Fulcrum was still unware of Chuck being the Intersect. If they will learn about Chuck, he will end up most likely being tortured and his family... No she couldn't let that happen. She was loyal to Fulcrum because she wanted revenge against Graham but she would never hurt an innocent person. And Chuck was innocent, a civilian who Bryce Larkin ruined his life multiple times, and now because of Bryce, Chuck was in danger. Fulcrum could handle everything without the Intersect. Sarah decided to hide the fact Chuck was the Intersect. She was still loyal to Fulcrum, but she won't let them know anything about Chuck.

"Chuck?" said Sarah as she looked in his eyes. "I need to do one thing for me."

"What's that?" asked Chuck

"Trust me." said Sarah.

Somewhere in Europe, Bryce Larkin woke up. To his surprise he was still alive. He knew what happened. Fulcrum saved him as he made them think he was The Intersect, while the real Intersect was Chuck. Bryce escaped from his restraints and fought the group of agents who kept him captive. In his mind all of them were Fulcrum so he didn't hesitate to kill them. He couldn't trust anyone. After he escaped the building he would have no help. He could contact his partner, but was Sarah trustworthy? He didn't knew nobody he could trust. He was alone on his own, but he had a mission. He needed to get to Chuck.

In a small cabin in the forest, Stephen Bartowski was looking at his computer. His job as Orion, the creator of the Intersect left him with no choice but run and hide so his children can be safe, but he was still watching them from afar. When he learned about Chuck getting expelled from Stanford he wanted to help his son but then he realized what Bryce Larkin really did. Bryce saved his son from the CIA. So he hoped that Chuck will repair his life. That didn't happen until today when he learned from his computer that Chuck has a new girlfriend. He was happy for his son, then the truth hit. Bryce sent Chuck the Intersect, his new girlfriend was a CIA agent, and now his son was in more danger than ever. Stephen realized that the only way to protect Chuck was his return, but he needed to plan everything carefully.

In Burbank, Sarah got a call from Mauser.

"I got reassigned. New mission, NSA-CIA joint black ops team." said Sarah, as she avoided to reveal anything about Chuck.

"Interesting, keep us in the loop, but protect your cover. Our operation had a slight delay." said Mauser and the ended the call.

"Great now I am a triple agent" thought Sarah.

Elsewere in Burbank, Chuck Bartowski was in his room. He took his hidden laptop and open it. He started reasearching everything he could find abot his handlers and what CIA and NSA had planned. Chuck Bartowski for the first time in 6 years was The Piranha once again. Now he needed to be careful as his secret identity will be harder to maintain because of his new girlfriend and his new coworker.

Author notes: And that was the first chapter. I didn't want to make many changes from the canon yet, so I kept most of episode 1 of the show as it was. Next chapter will adapt 2 episodes "Chuck Vs Helicopter" and "Chuck Vs La Ciudad". Expect some major changes from the canon of the show in this story.
