A man can be seen walking at night in the human village.
When walking through the Human Village. Most people are sleeping, most stores are closed. And Gohan can see the moon with its beautiful light.
Since arriving in Gensokyo, Gohan has been trying to adapt to this strange new world, he was even surprised to have his right arm back after losing it.
"...It must have been an interdimensional travel effect or something" Gohan sighs lightly.
*!Thum!*
Gohan hears a noise, the sound of something falling to the ground? What could that sound be?
Gohan headed towards the source of the noise, and when he looked around he didn't really see anything. Then, behind him, he heard footsteps. It could be just another villager staying up late.
"..."
?
It turns out that Gohan was wrong, when he turns around, he is facing a Youkai. A vampire who goes by the name Remilia Scarlet.
Remilia has red eyes, short light blue hair, and a light pink cap with a red ribbon decorated with white stripes. She wears a light pink dress with a red ribbon on both sleeves, a large red ribbon behind her waist with white stripes, and a necklace with a Caduceus-like centerpiece. She also has a pair of large black bat wings on her back, with a wingspan strangely larger than her height.
I raise an eyebrow seeing her.
"Hm? Can I help you?" I questioned raising an eyebrow.
She looks at me and smiles. She looks at my clothes that I wear.
"Hello," she said. His voice sounds quite calming. "I suppose we haven't met before, what's your name?"
"Son-Gohan" I say looking she with curiosity but also caution in case she decides to attack me.
Remilia looked at me, looking very interested. "Son-Gohan? What a strange name." She smiles.
"Are you a foreigner by any chance?"
Gohan looks in the direction that Remilia is.
"Yes, I'm Gohan, I'm from far away and I'm not from Gensokyo, nice to meet you" He smiled and extended his hand to shake her hand.
Remilia looked at me even more surprised.
"Ah… Not from Gensokyo. So you're an Outsider, right?"
She then took my hand to shake while smiling. Her grip was strong and cold on my hand.
Gohan felt a shiver from her cold skin, it was a very strong grip she showed.
"Yes, I'm an Outsider, I'm not from here" He says while still shaking his hand without showing any discomfort with Remilia's grip.
Remilia finally released he grip.
"And what are you doing here alone in the middle of the night?"
She looked at me, her eyes still seeming interested in me.
Gohan replied:
"I'm just exploring Gensokyo in the middle of the night, I'm not used to the time difference"
He scratched the back of his head and rubbed his eyes a little.
Remilia looks at me, seeing me rubbing my eyes and also noticing my tiredness. She smiled and laughed.
"You look very tired. How about this, I would invite you to my mansion to rest for a night. what do you think?"
Gohan looks at her with a small and soft smile on his face.
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother"
He said with a slight yawn, showing his tiredness even more.
Remilia noticed the yawn and laughed again. "Of course, we have plenty of spare rooms. You don't bother me. Just follow me."
She then starts walking, expecting him to follow her.
...
...
The two of us walk together through the village. Remilia looks at me as I walk.
"So, if you don't mind me asking. What exactly are you? You don't look very human to me..."
Gohan replied as he continued walking with Remilia:
"Well that's a tough question. I'm a Human-Saiyan hybrid, I guess you could say I'm a mix between Human and Alien" he says walking next to her.
Remilia listened to me and was surprised by my answer. A human-Saiyan hybrid? She's definitely intrigued.
"An Alien-Human Hybrid? Fascinating, I can clearly tell you are something special."
The two of us are not that far from the Scarlet Devil Mansion now.
...
...
Not long after, the two of us arrived at the imposing and elegant mansion. Remilia turns to me and smiles.
"And we are here. Welcome to the Scarlet Devil Mansion."
Gohan looked at the impressive mansion with a slightly amazed look on his face, as he was not used to seeing such amazing things where he came from.
"I have to say, this is an impressive mansion, one of the most beautiful I've ever seen."
Remilia looked proud when I said that. She smiled and laughed.
"I know, it's the best mansion there is. A vampire like me deserves such a big mansion after all."
She took my arm and led me to the mansion.
"Come on, let's go in."
Gohan nods and responds to Remilia:
"Of course"
Afterwards, Gohan let Remilia guide him through the impressive Scarlet Devil Mansion.
...
...
Gohan then meets Hong Meiling, the mansion's gatekeeper. and Sakuya Izayoi, Remilia's head maid. Gohan then thanks Remilia and goes to the main room of the mansion, and that's when he tells her his situation, and that he had nowhere else to stay in Gensokyo and that he had just arrived in Gensokyo.
Remilia and the others, especially Sakuya, listened to my story. Remilia seemed very interested in me and what I was telling her.
"Really? You really are an interesting stranger." She said with curious eyes "And you have no place to stay now?"
Gohan nodded to Remilia, with a neutral and a little tired look on his face, as he continued talking to her:
"Yes, that's true, I'm without a place to stay at the moment, I still don't know much about this place and I don't have any money"
He replied with a slight and tired yawn.
Remilia heard me and noticed the yawn again, she looked at me and sighed.
"You look like you're about to fall asleep. I don't think you slept much."
Then Sakuya spoke.
"If I can speak..."
Remilia looked at Sakuya, a little surprised about her speaking.
"Go ahead, Sakuya."
Sakuya looked at me and spoke.
"It's probably not the best if a stranger like you is left out in the open. So I think... It would be better to let him have a room here in the mansion too, since he's staying."
Remilia, thinking for a while, finally nodded.
"I think it's true. After all, it's not good to let a stranger like him go out in the open unsupervised in this mansion..."
Gohan looked a little surprised upon hearing those words from Remilia and Sakuya, he didn't expect them to offer him a room for the night, he smiled a little and replied to them: "Really? May I stay here?"
Remilia nodded as she looked at me. "We can't just let a lost Outsider like you walk the streets now, can we? Then you are welcome to stay here with us, at the Scarlet Devil Mansion."
Sakuya also smiled and said, "I'll prepare a room for you. Feel free to rest tonight."
Says Sakuya leaving the room.
Gohan smiles slightly.
"Thank you Miss Remilia, if you want, I can work too while I here, I mean I can be your personal butler or something" he laughs lightly scratching his head.
Remilia raised an eyebrow hearing what I said and laughed.
"Ah, yes... I could use a personal butler to serve me... Hmmm... How about that? You'll be the mansion's butler then, what do you think about that?"
Gohan thought about Remilia's offer for a few moments and after thinking about it he nodded and accepted, as he replied to her;
"Hmm..."
"That sounds good to me, I like that idea"
Remilia seemed satisfied with my answer. "Wonderful! You will become my personal butler then. Just make sure you serve me very well, understand?"
She looked at me with a somewhat piercing expression on her face.
Despite seeing Remilia's piercing gaze, Gohan wasn't intimidated by it, just responded with a soft smile on his face.
"Don't worry, I promise I'll serve you very well" he gives her a slight thumbs up.
Remilia laughed and seemed a little impressed that I wasn't impressed by her piercing gaze, but my response left her satisfied.
"I hope to see you live up to your words then, butler."
Sakuya reappears in the room.
Sakuya spoke. "The room is ready. You can rest tonight now"
Remilia also looked at Sakuya.
"Yes, thank you, Sakuya. You are dismissed." Then Remilia looked at me.
"I'll let you rest tonight then, good night."
She turns and starts to walk out of the hallway. Before leaving completely, she looks at me one last time.
"I hope to see you serve me well tomorrow morning"
Gohan nods and watches Remilia walk off and leave the room.
He looks around for a bit, and he thinks to himself, "Looks like I have a job now..."
After a while, I could feel a hand on my shoulder. When I turn around, it was Sakuya, she looked a little tired.
"Your room is this way"
Gohan looked at her and saw Sakuya with a tired expression on her face as she felt her hand on his shoulder.
He smiled at her and replied, "Ah... okay then. Lead the way, please."
Sakuya nodded silently and began to lead me into the room. After walking through the halls of the mansion for a while, I finally came across a door.
"Here's the room for tonight. Feel free to make yourself comfortable and have a good night."
Gohan stopped in front of the room's door and looked inside of it a little, then he turned his gaze to Sakuya and smiled slightly at her as he replied to her.
"Thank you, I appreciate that"
Sakuya smiled back at me. "You're welcome..."
She looked at me, she had something else she wanted to say to me.
"First, I have one more thing to say to you…"
Gohan raised an eyebrow, slightly intrigued about what else she had to say to him.
He replied with a curious look on his face.
"What is it? You can say it"
Sakuya looked at me with a serious expression on her face, her eyes seemed a little cold.
"I just want you to know about one thing."
His tone of voice became quite serious.
"You're not allowed to let this out anywhere. Understand?"
Gohan looked a little curious about what is that thing Sakuya was talking about, but after hearing her serious tone of voice and her words, he got a little serious too, and he nodded as he replied to her.
"Hmm...Yes, I understand. Anything you want to say will not leave my lips, you can trust on that"
Sakuya looked relieved when I said that.
"Well... You're better than you look, that's a relief."
She sighed and scratched her face.
"Be careful how you act around your lover... Don't do anything stupid that might irritate her. She is very strong and temperamental... Keep that in mind."
Gohan nodded at Sakuya's words and replied softly to her.
"I understand, I'll be careful with Remilia, I won't do anything that might upset or annoy her and I'll make sure to serve her the best I can"
Sakuya seemed satisfied upon hearing my answer.
"Good, I'm glad you understood. That's all I wanted to say, so I'm going to rest tonight. Have a good night… butler."
She smiled at me and after saying that, she started to walk away.
Gohan nodded and smiles softly as he watched her go.
"All right, thanks for showing me the room"
"Have a goodnight"
He said, as he bid her farewell as she walked off before grabbing the door handle, he opened the door and entered the room, closing the door behind him as he said to himself:
"Alright, a room of my own, finally"
Gohan enters the room and, as he closes the door, looks around at the place that will shelter him for the night. Surprisingly, the room is very clean.
The room is quite large, suitable for a mansion like the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Looking around, he sees a bed, a table and some hangers.
There was also a window that showed the dark night sky outside. The moon was full and high in the sky.
Gohan then lies down on the bed and starts to think a little about his past, he thinks about Trunks, his father... and how he had really died to the androids.
he hoped he was sent to the other world like he expected and found his father and the other Z fighters.
but somehow he ended up in this place...
Maybe it's a sign? a second chance perhaps?
There are a lot of questions, but Gohan doesn't think much about it, he just wants to rest at the moment...
...
...
Gohan was too confused at first to adapt to Gensokyo, but he started to adapt here a little after a few months.
Gohan had mixed feelings about how things are here. Although the people are nice and there are no Androids here, it is very difficult to adapt to the way things are done.
However, the fact that there is no threat to the world is a huge advantage. He just cares about what's happening in his world. He just hopes that Trunks and everyone he knows are safe.
As he continues to help others throughout the many days of working here, he does start to find a liking for Gensokyo and it's people, wondering if he can call this new place home.
Remilia always made him do the most random things for her. Asking him to cook things for her, buying things for her, and always asking him to bring her tea. Sakuya tried to help him as much as she could, Meiling was always fighting with him or helping him, and Patchouli was always reading or asking him to help her in the library. Then there's Flan, who he always found a way to joke with and cheer her up when she was sad.
The people are friendly and he certainly enjoys the company. After such long and difficult years of fighting the androids at home, a place like this is much nicer than the hell that is your world.
*Present day*
Gohan remains Remilia's personal butler, bringing her tea from time to time and doing whatever she orders.
During one of these moments, Gohan stumbled and spilled hot tea on his pants, a look of panic briefly crossing his face. But before he could fully process what happened, Remilia's stern voice cut through the air.
"Gohan!" she scolded, her tone sharp and disapproving.
"What kind of clumsy butler spills tea on his uniform like that?"
Gohan sighs a little, and starts to remember the conversation he had with Remilia and Sakuya days ago when he arrived at the mansion.
...
...
*Months ago*
Gohan was in the Scarlet Devil mansion, sitting in a comfortable chair in front of Remilia Scarlet and Sakuya Izayoi. As he spoke to the two ladies, Gohan maintained a friendly expression, even though a trace of exhaustion and discomfort could be seen on his face due to the recent events.
"It's good to finally have a moment to talk to you two," Gohan said, trying to keep his tone calm despite his painful memories. "I thank you for helping me."
Remilia Scarlet, with a slight smile, looked at Gohan curiously as she replied, "It's no problem, after all, we couldn't leave a stranger alone, could we?"
Sakuya, from her position nearby, nodded with a concerned look. "Yes, especially considering your unusual appearance and the mysterious circumstances surrounding your presence here."
Gohan nodded softly, the memory of the recent events still fresh in his mind.
"I understand," he said, "and I want to thank you again for taking care of me. I'm still trying to figure out what happened and how I ended up here in Gensokyo."
Remilia rested her face in her hands, her eyes thoughtful.
"Yes, that's an interesting question. Can you tell us more about yourself? Where did you come from and how did you get here?"
Gohan sighed, preparing to try to explain the complex situation he found himself in.
"Well, I come from a place very far from here," he began. "I call it Earth, and it's a very different world than the one you know here in Gensokyo."
"On Earth, it's a place with many more people, and my family and friends lived there," Gohan continued. "But recently... I faced a deadly threat, Androids 17 and 18. After an intense war, I ended up weak, and they finished me off along with several other people."
Remilia and Sakuya listened intently, their expressions changing from curiosity to compassion as Gohan shared some of his traumatic history.
"And that's where things get weird," Gohan said, looking directly at the two ladies.
"I have no idea how I ended up here in Gensokyo. All I remember is being unconscious and then waking up in a completely different world."
Sakuya crossed her arms, her expression thoughtful.
"This really is a strange situation. There's no record of another dimension or world crossing that could explain your appearance in Gensokyo."
Gohan nodded again, looking frustrated.
"I know. I thought that too. It's like there was some kind of anomaly or maybe even an effect of the fight against the Androids that brought me here..."
Remilia sighed, seemingly surprised by the unusual situation.
"Well, that's definitely unexpected. But still, you were an injured stranger who showed up out of nowhere. We can't just let you go off on your own. Especially with the situation in Gensokyo."
Gohan looked at her gratefully, acknowledging her kindness.
"I understand. If I really am trapped in Gensokyo, then I can't just wander off alone. Thank you for your offer of hospitality," he said, bowing slightly toward Remilia and Sakuya.
Sakuya's gaze tightened slightly, then asked.
"You mentioned that there was a war in your land. Were you a combatant involved in it?"
Gohan nodded.
"Yes, I fought against Androids 17 and 18. I was trained by friends and allies to become stronger and face the enemies that threatened Earth," he explained, his memories of the war flashing through his mind.
Remilia crossed her fingers as she listened.
"I see. So you have the skills to fight," she stated. "But your body looks so young," she added, studying Gohan.
Gohan gave a slight smile.
"I know, I look young," he admitted.
"But don't let my appearance fool you. I've learned skills and powers that allow me to fight powerful enemies."
Sakuya looked at him, looking interested. "Powers, you say? What powers have you gained during your battles?"
"Well, some of the skills I've acquired include superhuman speed, superhuman strength," Gohan said. "But I'm also very familiar with the ki field, a life force present in all things that can be channeled and used for powerful attacks."
"Ki, you say...?" Remilia asked, apparently intrigued by the mention of the term.
"Can you give us an example of how it works?"
"Okay... I'll show you," Gohan said as he stood up and got into a fighting stance.
He closed his eyes for a moment, focusing on his inner energy. Then, with a wave of his arms, he created a small ball of energy in his left hand.
The ball shimmered for a moment before Gohan threw it into the air.
The ball exploded in the air, creating a small but noticeable explosion.
Remilia and Sakuya watched the display asm interest, particularly impressed by Gohan's casual display of power.
"Impressive," Remilia said. "Was that the ki you mentioned?"
"Yes, that's right," Gohan agreed. "Using ki, I can perform more powerful attacks, as well as strengthen my body and enhance it in various ways."
"Sounds like Danmaku," Remilia commented.
Gohan looked at Remilia, confused. "Danmaku?" he asked, the word unfamiliar to him.
Remilia let out a sweet laugh.
"Sorry, I forgot you're new here," she explained. "Danmaku is what we call the pattern-based combat of bullet projection in Gensokyo."
"Oh, I see," Gohan said, showing genuine interest.
"So the battles here involve this Danmaku technique, is that it?"
"Yes, it's a rather unique combat style," Sakuya confirmed.
"Battles in Gensokyo involve more complicated maneuvers than physically powerful blows."
Gohan nodded, now more familiar with the concept of Danmaku.
"Interesting," he said. "It's quite different from how we fight on Earth. It seems I'll have to adapt to this type of combat if I'm going to stay here."
Remilia smirked.
"It certainly seems like you're already interested in learning the secrets of Gensokyo," she said.
"But first, we don't know much about you," she added, exchanging glances with Sakuya.
"That's true," Sakuya agreed.
"You mentioned the threat you faced back home. Why don't you tell us more about your history? Who were these Androids and why did you fight them?"
Gohan took a deep breath, preparing himself to relive painful memories.
"The Androids were artificial creatures that threatened humanity," he began.
"They were extremely powerful and cruel, and were created by a scientist named Dr. Gero." He paused briefly, remembering the battles against the Androids and the loss of dear friends.
"I fought them because it was the only way to save the world," Gohan continued.
"The Androids were responsible for the destruction of cities and the murder of millions of people... I couldn't let them keep doing that."
Remilia and Sakuya listened intently, their expressions shifting to one of empathy as Gohan recounted the battles against the Androids. It was clear that the memories were painful for him.
"That must have been a tough battle," Sakuya commented, offering words of support. "You must have had a very hard time fighting those Androids."
Gohan nodded, his expression showing weariness and sadness. "Yes, those were dark days," he replied.
"I lost friends and family in the battle against the Androids, and I had to deal with the loss of everything I held dear, I've been fighting them for 13 years."
Remilia frowned, expressing her understanding of Gohan's words. "That's... horrible," she commented. "To lose your family and friends like that, and to face the threat alone for so long... how did you handle it?"
Gohan let out a heavy sigh. "It was hard, really hard," he admitted.
"But I had a responsibility to protect the Earth, to protect the people who were still alive. I couldn't give up. Even when I was weak or exhausted, I always got up again and kept fighting."
"Your determination is impressive," Sakuya observed. "Few people would have the courage to face a threat like that alone for so many years."
"Yes, it's admirable," Remilia added. "You faced powerful enemies and fought for a good reason. It seems the Earth was very lucky to have you as its defender."
Gohan thanked her for the words of support, his eyes softening. "I did everything I could to protect the Earth," he stated. "But in the end... I ended up being defeated by the Androids. And I ended up here, in Gensokyo."
Remilia and Sakuya nodded, showing even more compassion for Gohan's predicament.
"It must have been confusing and scary to end up in a completely different place like that," Sakuya said.
Gohan nodded again. "Yes, it was a very strange experience," he admitted.
"One moment I was in a battle, and the next, I woke up here in Gensokyo. I still don't fully understand how that happened."
"That's really intriguing," Remilia commented, seemingly intrigued. "Maybe there's some kind of anomaly or phenomenon that could explain your unexpected appearance here."
"Could it be some kind of temporal anomaly, perhaps?" Sakuya suggested. "Some kind of effect caused by your fights against the Androids."
"Yes, or I actually died and my spirit ended up here... but I don't think that makes sense, since I'm actually alive," he said with his arms crossed, looking at Sakuya.
Sakuya nodded, considering the possibility. "Yes, it is true. If you had really died, you would not have come here with your physical body."
Remilia, equally intrigued, interjected: "There is also the possibility of some passage between realitiesades to have been opened during your battles, bringing you to Gensokyo."
Gohan stares thoughtfully at the ceiling.
Remilia and Sakuya watched Gohan as he remained thoughtful, apparently trying to find an explanation for his situation. The room fell silent for a few moments as everyone pondered the possible reasons for Gohan's unexpected appearance in Gensokyo.
"Say, is Gensokyo connected...with society in some way? Like the human world, or have you heard of the Androids?"
Remilia gave a slight sigh as Sakuya thought for a moment. It was Remilia who spoke first.
"Yes, Gensokyo is not completely isolated from the human world," she explained. "As you've probably noticed, some people and creatures from the outside world come here occasionally. Some do so by accident, but others actively seek us out."
Sakuya then added, "In the past, some people from the outside world have visited Gensokyo and returned to report their findings. But we've never heard of these Androids you speak of."
"Yes, as I explained before... so I guess I really did end up in another dimension," he says thoughtfully.
"I mean, if not, you would have already heard of the Androids, which doesn't seem to be the case."
Remilia agreed with Gohan's observation. "Yes, that possibility is quite likely," she stated, crossing her arms as she continued to think.
"It's possible that this passage between dimensions opening could have been a result of your fight against the Androids," Sakuya added.
"... I don't think it makes much sense, I mean, I don't think I could have been brought here because of the damage from the fight... I mean, it seems more like someone brought me here..." He says with his hand on his chin thoughtfully.
Remilia and Sakuya exchanged glances, apparently interested in the possibility raised by Gohan.
"It's possible," Remilia agreed. "It could be the case that someone intervened in your battle against the Androids and brought you here somehow purpose."
Sakuya frowned slightly. "But why would someone do something like that? And why would they bring you to Gensokyo specifically?"
"..."
After thinking for a moment, Gohan spoke up.
"...maybe this person saved me? I mean, I was really going to die after I challenged the Androids," he said softly.
Remilia remained silent as she listened to Gohan's words, while Sakuya seemed equally thoughtful.
"Hmmm... That's a possibility," Remilia agreed. "If someone really did bring you to Gensokyo to save you, then they must have had a good reason for doing so."
"That's true," Sakuya agreed. "But the question is... who would have that power? And why did they choose to bring you to Gensokyo specifically?"
Gohan looked down at the ground, seemingly equally puzzled by Sakuya's questions. "I have no idea..." he finally admitted. "My memory is a little vague about what happened before I woke up here. I only remember fighting the Androids, and then I woke up in a forest."
Remilia nodded, showing a worried look.
"That's understandable, considering what you've been through. Your memory may be a little shaken due to stress and injuries. Maybe in time, you'll start to remember more details."
Gohan also looks at his body, especially his right arm.
"...and for some reason I have my arm back."
Remilia and Sakuya followed his gaze, examining his right arm.
"Ah, that's right," Remilia said, surprised. "That's definitely surprising. You mentioned that you lost your arm in the battle against the Androids, right?"
Gohan nodded. "Yes, that's true," he replied.
"I lost my arm during the battle, but when I woke up here, my arm had completely regenerated. It's one of the things that puzzled me too."
Sakuya frowned again. "That's really strange... I don't know how to explain it. But the fact that your arm has completely regenerated is quite impressive."
"... maybe a side effect of traveling through time and space?" Sakuya commented.
Remilia shrugged. "It's possible," she admitted.
"Time and space travel can be extremely complex and mysterious. It could be that the process had some regenerative effect on you."
Sakuya added, "It's also possible that someone here used some magic or power to restore your arm. I can't say for sure, though."
Gohan remained silent, taking in the possible explanations.
"It's all so uncertain," he said, with a hint of frustration.
"I just wish I could understand exactly what happened to me and how I ended up here."
Remilia sighed sympathetically.
"I understand how you feel. But trying to figure out exactly what happened might take time. For now, you need to calm down and rest. You've been through a lot and need to recover first."
Sakuya agreed, adding.
"Yes, that's true. There's no point instressing over questions we don't have the answers to right now. It's more important to take care of your physical and mental health right now."
Gohan nodded, looking down.
"You're right... I just don't like the idea of not knowing what happened to me. Especially when I'm in a strange and unfamiliar place."
Remilia gave a slight smile.
"I understand. Gensokyo can be a confusing place for an outsider. But there's no need to worry. As long as you're under our protection, you'll be safe here."
Sakuya nodded again.
"Yes, you're among friends now. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or need anything. We're here to help you."
Gohan thanked Remilia and Sakuya for their words, feeling a little relieved.
"Thank you very much. It's good to know that I have people I can turn to here."
"We're always here to help anyone in need," Remilia stated. "Besides, we're interested in you. You've had a very different life than most people in Gensokyo. We're curious about your history and your experience fighting the Androids."
"I'm curious to learn more about you guys too," Gohan admitted. "Although I'm very confused right now, I'm starting to get used to the environment of Gensokyo, and I wonder what the personal lives of the inhabitants here are like."
Remilia laughed softly.
"Hmph, our ways of life may differ greatly from what you're used to. We're magical beings who have inhabited this place for centuries. We have our own customs and special powers, but at the same time, we're just as normal human beings as you are, with our own concerns and desires."
He stood thoughtfully with his arms crossed.
"Well, that's quite interesting, to be sure. I'm used to living in danger, fighting at any moment... and always living on the edge."
Remilia and Sakuya listened as Gohan described his life, expressing his way of life as a constant fighter.
"Living on the edge, you say?" Remilia asked, frowning. "That sounds like a lot of stress."
Gohan sobered a little.
"Yes, I almost died on several occasions, I was constantly getting hurt against the Androids as well."
Sakuya crossed her arms, looking thoughtful. "That sounds incredibly stressful. It seems like you were constantly risking your life in battle."
"It was," Gohan replied with a tired sigh.
"With every battle against the Androids, I put my life on the line. But I had no choice. I had to fight to protect the people I loved and the Earth in general."
"You must have been through a lot," Remilia admitted, with a look of compassion. "But it's admirable that you fought so hard to protect the Earth and the people you love. It shows strength and greatness of character."
"I just did what had to be done," Gohan said calmly, not boasting about his courage. "There was no other choice. I had to protect the people I cared about, no matter what the cost."
"You seem to have a brave heart," Sakuya commented admiringly. "And not only that, you seem quite strong. Having faced threats like that, you must have accumulated quite a bit of experience and combat knowledge."
Gohan chuckles lightly.
"If experience is what you call it," he points to the scar over his eye.
"I have plenty of it too," he jokes.
Remilia and Sakuya smiled at Gohan's own humor, albeit a dark one.
"Hahaha, it seems you have a lot to base your experience on," Remilia agreed, with a slightly sarcastic laugh.
Sakuya added, "The scar over your eye is quite impressive as well. I think it's a testament to the many battles you've faced."
"Yes, that's true," Gohan agreed. "Every scar, every injury, every battle brings with it valuable lessons. It can't be helped. As time goes by, I've only improved my fighting skills and knowledge of combat strategies and tactics."
"I can see that," Sakuya commented. "The confidence and experience you possess is evident. It seems like you really know how to handle a fighting situation. And he must be very strong, too."
'Gohan then remembers Trunks... the one he had placed so much hope in... and his battle brother, he feels a little sad for having left him...'
Remilia and Sakuya noticed Gohan's face change slightly, seemingly saddened by some memory or thought.
Remilia asked softly, "What's wrong? You seem sad all of a sudden."
Gohan sighs, trying to suppress his sadness.
"Eh, it's just... I was remembering someone. A young man I knew in the future. He was a strong and brave boy who fought alongside me. I put a lot of faith in him and hoped he would save us..."
"But something happened to him?" Sakuya asked, with a note of compassion in her voice.
Gohan nodded, with a sad expression on his face. "Yes, something happened to him. He... he was left alone to face the Androids, now that I'm dead."
Remilia and Sakuya listened in silence, their expressions turning sad and worried as they followed Gohan's story.
clenches his fists in anger.
"If I wasn't so weak... then none of this would have happened, I can't forgive myself for that," he says angrily at himself.
Remilia and Sakuya could see Gohan's hatred and frustration, directed at himself.
Remilia, with a soft but firm expression, spoke: "Gohan, you are not weak. You have faced threats that few could withstand and still fought with courage and determination."
"Yes," Sakuya agreed, adding with an understanding look. "You don't need to blame yourself for everything that happened. You did what you could and fought hard to protect those you loved. That is not something to be taken lightly."
Gohan sighs, still frustrated with himself.
"I know that, but it's hard not to blame myself. I wish I had been stronger, and maybe things could have turned out differently."
Remilia places a comforting hand on Gohan's shoulder. "I understand how you feel, but you shouldn't shoulder all the responsibility alone. You faced an incredibly difficult and challenging situation. No one could have predicted the outcome."
Sakuya nodded in agreement.
"That's right. We can't always control the circumstances and the end result. What matters is that you tried. And even if things didn't turn out as expected, your attempt is worthy of recognition."
Gohan sighs deeply, his anger and frustration beginning to drain away.
"I... I understand what you're saying. I just can't help but feel like I should have done more. I was your protector, and I failed."
"You didn't fail, Gohan" Remilia assured him.
"Just because things seem bad right now doesn't mean you failed in your mission. It's natural to have doubts and insecurities, but don't let them get the better of you." Sakuya joined in Remilia's words, adding.
"You need to remember your achievements and accomplishments, as well as how far you've come, especially in the face of such powerful threats. It shows your strength and determination."
Gohan nodded, finally beginning to accept Remilia and Sakuya's comforting words.
"You're right," he admitted.
"It's not like I haven't accomplished anything. I've fought hard, and while I may have failed in certain ways, I've still achieved many victories as well."
Remilia smiled, her gaze approving. "It's good to see that you're starting to see things that way. Remember, you're strong, and your courage and determination are admirable. Don't let a difficult situation or a failure erase that from you, and don't let sadness or guilt control you."
Gohan smiled slightly at them.
"Thank you," he said simply. Remilia and Sakuya smiled back, glad to see Gohan calming down.
Remilia added, "No need to thank me, Gohan. We're happy to help. If you need anything else or want to talk more, we'll be here for you."
Sakuya nodded in agreement. "That's right. Don't hesitate to ask for help or advice. We're here to support you during your stay here in Gensokyo."
Gohan thanked her again, truly grateful for the newfound friendship.
"Thank you very much. I won't forget this. Knowing that I have people I can trust makes me feel much more at ease."
Then Remilia asks Gohan with a mischievous smile.
"Soooo... are you still going to want to work for me? Because I think the butler outfit will fit you."
Gohan takes a moment to absorb Remilia's unexpected question, and then answers with a brief laugh.
"Uh, working as a butler, huh? I don't know if I'm really suited for that position. I'm usually more of a fighting type."
Remilia chuckles, still with that mischievous look on her face.
"Oh, don't worry, Gohan. It doesn't necessarily have to be a traditional butler. You could be more of a 'warrior butler' type!"
Gohan chuckles, starting to enjoy Remilia's joke. "Hehe, what would a 'warrior butler' be?"
Remilia smiles, winking. "Well, it would be someone who not only serves as a butler, but is also capable of facing any threat that comes his way. Having a bodyguard who also serves drinks and snacks isn't a bad deal, after all."
Gohan thinks about Remilia's description.
"Heh, that's not a bad idea. A butler with battle skills. Sounds like a challenging job. And I would need different uniforms, right?"
Remilia laughs with pleasure.
"Of course you'll need different uniforms! We can't have a warrior butler who isn't well-dressed, can we? Let's get you some proper clothes. Besides, you'll look really handsome in a warrior butler uniform!"
...
...
*The next day*
Gohan is then with Sakuya, Sakuya is taking measurements on Gohan to make his butler outfit.
Gohan is He was only wearing his blue shirt without his orange kimono, and he was also wearing only his underwear.
While Sakuya was taking Gohan's measurements, he was standing, a little uncomfortable with the fact that he was only wearing his underwear. He tried in vain to hide his embarrassment, wiping the sweat from his forehead and avoiding looking directly at Sakuya.
Sakuya, on the other hand, was completely focused on taking the correct measurements, wrapping the measuring tape around Gohan's body and writing down the numbers. She could see that Gohan felt uncomfortable, but he continued with his work in a professional and efficient manner.
Gohan tried to remain still while Sakuya took the measurements, but every now and then he would fidget a little or clear his throat unnecessarily. The silence in the room was deafening, and Gohan really wished he could put his kimono back on.
After a few minutes that seemed like an eternity to Gohan, Sakuya finally finished taking the measurements and wrote some notes on a notepad. She glanced at Gohan, noticing his obvious discomfort.
"It's okay, Gohan," Sakuya said, with a hint of humor. "The butler outfit will look great on you."
Gohan let out a sigh of relief, nodding. "Yeah, I hope so. I'm kind of looking forward to wearing something other than these underwear shorts."
Sakuya chuckled a little at Gohan's statement. "Don't worry, the butler outfit will arrive soon. You just have to be patient."
She then put the notepad back in her pocket. "Well, that's it. The measurements are all taken. You can get dressed again."
Gohan quickly grabbed his kimono and put it on, letting out a sigh of relief. "Thanks. I was getting a little nervous."
He then added playfully, "I hope the butler outfit isn't too fancy, or I'll have to fight in my underwear."
Sakuya chuckled at Gohan's joke. "Don't worry, the butler outfit will be elegant yet practical. And you won't have to fight in your underwear, unless you want to do so voluntarily."
Gohan chuckles. "Haha, I think I'll do without that option, thanks." He then stretches his muscles to relax his shoulders and neck.
"Phew, I can finally move without feeling uncomfortable."
As Gohan moves, Sakuya notices the many scars scattered across Gohan's body. There are small marks here and there, but there are also large, noticeable scars, especially on the sides of his chest and over his shoulders and back.
Sakuya's curiosity is piqued, but she knows it wouldn't be appropriate to ask directly about the scars.
However, she can't help but notice that some of them look quite old and some relatively recent. After a moment, she finally says, with a cautious tone.
"You have a lot of scars. Some look quite old and some more recent."
Gohan looks down, noticing the scars as well. "Yes, I know. They're memories of past battles. Some are older, from when I was younger, and some are more recent, from more recent encounters."
Sakuya nods, understanding. "I imagine you've faced many difficult battles, then."
Gohan nods, looking a little sad.
"Yes, I've been through a lot. Many difficult battles, many losses... But that's what a warrior's life is like, isn't it?"
"I suppose it is," Sakuya replies, with a tone of understanding.
"You're really strong, to have survived everything you've been through."
"It was more due to luck than strength," Gohan says, with a wry laugh. "There were many battles where I should have died. Ultimately, luck played a bigger role than my strength."
"But even so, you've survived every battle so far," Sakuya observes. "That says a lot about your resilience and your will to keep fighting."
Gohan nods, his eyes set on determination. "Yes, that's true. I always try to do my best in battle, and I never give up. It's not just about winning or losing, it's about persisting and fighting for the ones you love."
"I think that's admirable," Sakuya says with an approving look. "You are truly an honorable warrior, Gohan."
Gohan watches Sakuya silently for a moment, noting her unique features.
"Your uniform is beautiful," he comments.
"And your red eyes and white hair give you a very unique look."
Sakuya nods in appreciation of Gohan's observation. "Thank you. My uniform is one of my favorite outfits, and my red eyes and white hair are a family trait."
Gohan nods with interest. "Your family must have an interesting history, then. Can you tell me a little about it?"
"Of course," Sakuya says, her eyes thoughtful. "My family is old, with a lot of history and tradition. I was once a hunter for hire before I served my mistress."
Gohan looks puzzled. "Really? That's surprising. Why did you stop being a hunter and become a maid?"
"I was tired of the old life. The constant fighting and danger were no longer something I wanted for myself," Sakuya explains.
"When I met Remilia, I immediately decided that I wanted to serve her. She is my mistress, and I don't regret my choice."
Gohan nods, understanding.
"That's understandable. The life of a warrior is hard and takes a lot out of us. Sometimes, it's good to have some rest and stability in our lives."
"Yes, exactly," Sakuya agrees.
"The life of a maid is much more peaceful than that of a hunter, and I feel very happy serving my mistress. Besides, the mansion is a very pleasant place to live and work."
Gohan smiles, with a slightly envious look.
"This place is really amazing. The parties, the games, the whole atmosphere is really cool. It must be much more pleasant than most places I've fought in battles."
Sakuya laughs at Gohan's expression.
"Yes, the mansion is truly a unique place. The parties and games are a welcome distraction from the routine of daily life. And it's a privilege to be able to serve My Lady and contribute to making the mansion the special place that it is."
Gohan nods, with a look of respect.
"I understand what you're saying. It's something special to have a place to call home and to serve someone you believe in. It seems like you've truly found your place here."
"Yes, I have," Sakuya agrees, with a look of satisfaction. "I hope I can continue to serve My Lady for many years to come. This is my home now, and I feel very honored to be a part of it."
Gohan nods, smiling.
"It's really nice to see someone so dedicated. I can tell you're a loyal person, Sakuya. That's admirable."
"Thank you very much," Sakuya says humbly. "I always try to serve my Mistress to the best of my ability, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for me here."
Gohan nods, his eyes thoughtful. "Yes, the future is always something to consider. Especially for us, who live in a world full of wars and battles. We never really know what will happen the next day."
"That's true," Sakuya says, his eyes serious. "But that's why we should live the present to the fullest. After all, it's all we really have. And as long as we serve our Mistress, we'll always have a place to belong."
Gohan raises an eyebrow.
"Do you really want me working here?" He asks curiously.
"Yes, of course," Sakuya replies. "You'd make a great addition to the mansion. Your skills and strength could be a great asset in many situations. Plus, with those scars, it's clear that you've faced many challenges and proven yourself resilient."
"Besides," Remilia chimes in unexpectedly,
"Gohan would look really cute in a butler's uniform, wouldn't you agree?"
Gohan blushes a little at Remilia's comment, while Sakuya chuckles lightly.
"Yes, that's true. Gohan would look great in a butler's uniform."
"Hey, wait a minute," Gohan protests, a little embarrassed. "That's not something to decide just because I'd look 'cute' in a uniform."
Remilia laughs, with a mischievous look. "Of course it is! Looks are important, you know. People trust handsome butlers more."
Gohan snorts, a little irritated. "That's absurd. I'd make a good butler no matter what I look like."
"Sure, sure," Remilia agrees, still smirking. "But you can't deny that it's nice to look at something pretty. And you'd obviously make a good scene."
Now, Gohan isn't just blushing, he's almost the color of his ki.
"I give up. It's impossible to argue with you guys."
Remilia only laughs louder at Gohan's reaction, while Sakuya tries to contain her laughter.
"Sorry, Gohan, but you're too easy to embarrass."
Gohan crosses his arms and pouts. Remilia and Sakuya laugh even harder at Gohan's pout, finding his expression a little adorable.
"Aww, you're pouting now," Remilia teases, smirking. "How cute."
"I'm not pouting," Gohan retorts, obviously lying. "I'm just annoyed with you two."
"Sure, sure," Remilia says, obviously not buying it. "You're just annoyed, not pouting." Sakuya tries to contain her laughter again as she watches the exchange between Gohan and Remilia.
...
...
Gohan is then introduced to the other residents of the mansion.
Remilia and Sakuya take Gohan through all the rooms of the mansion, introducing him to the other residents. Along the way, Gohan meets some new faces and reminisces about some familiar faces from his past.
He meets the librarian Patchouli Knowledge, the gatekeeper Meiling, Patchouli's assistant Koakuma, and is briefly introduced to Flandre, Remilia's junior sister.
As he meets all the residents of the mansion, Gohan notices that there is an air of tranquility and peace among them all. It is different from the chaotic and dangerous world he knew before, and he begins to feel comfortable with the idea of living there.
As Remilia and Sakuya introduce Gohan to the gatekeeper Meiling, he is surprised to learn that she is also a martial artist and that she knows "Qi". Gohan approaches Meiling, curious to learn more about her combat technique.
"So, are you also familiar with Qi? It is a very old technique, but very effective"
Meiling nods, with a look of respect. "Yes, I am very familiar with Qi. I had a great Master who taught me martial arts and how to use Qi to improve my attacks."
Gohan looks impressed.
"Well, that's amazing. I also know a little about Qi. My Master taught me how to use its power to fight my enemies. But I admit that I have never seen anyone who knows how to use this type of technique around here, but I am experienced in the use of Ki, I don't know if you know." Meiling nods again, with a look of curiosity.
"Yes, I know Ki. It is a powerful energy resource that some beings like you and me can use to improve our strength and abilities."
"Basically Ki and IQ are the same thing." Gohan smiles slightly. Meiling nods again, with a look of agreement.
"Yes, you could say that Ki and Qi are essentially the same thing. They are both energy resources that we can use to improve our combat power and abilities. The only difference is the name we use to refer to it."
Gohan smiles, impressed by the similarity between the two techniques. "It's fascinating, isn't it? Even in different worlds, the idea of using inner energy to become stronger is the same. It seems that the essence of combat remains the same even with different names."
Meiling nods.
"Yes, that's true. The idea of using inner energy to improve our combat abilities is a constant in many different worlds. It shows that despite the cultural and linguistic differences, there is a common element that unites us as warriors."
"Did you hear that I'm not from Gensokyo?" Gohan asks.
Meiling nods, with a look of curiosity. "Yes, Remilia and Sakuya told me that you're not from Gensokyo. Where are you from, anyway?"
Gohan thinks for a moment, trying to think of how to explain his situation.
"Well, I'm originally from a world very different from here. A place where battles and fights are constant, and the threats are greater than one can imagine."
Meiling seems intrigued by Gohan's description, with a serious look on her face. "That sounds quite dangerous. It seems like you come from a place where fighting is constant and the threat is ever present."
Gohan nods, with a melancholic look on his face.
"Yes, that's true. Where I come from, fighting is a constant. The threat of powerful and cruel enemies is ever present, and there is no rest for those who are warriors. It's a world where peace is fleeting and war is always a possibility."
Meiling sighs, with a look of compassion.
"That sounds heavy. It must be hard to live in a world like that, where peace is so hard to achieve and war is always lurking."
Gohan nods again, with a look of understanding.
"Yes, it's hard. But it's a world I'm used to. I was trained to be a warrior from an early age, and fighting has always been a part of my life. But living in a world like this, where peace seems so constant, is something new to me."
Gohan is a little silent but speaks.
"But in short, I'm happy to meet you, it's good to meet another Martial Artist and Ki User."
Meiling smiles, with a friendly look. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Gohan. And it's good to have another Martial Artist and Ki User here at the mansion. We can even train together, if you want."
Gohan nods, with a look of enthusiasm. "That sounds like a great idea! I'd love to train with you. We could share techniques and improve together."
Meiling seems excited about the idea. "Yes, of course! Let's set a time to train. It'll be fun to get to know your skills and share mine."
Gohan smiles at the red-haired Chinese Youkai.
Meiling smiles back at Gohan, with a friendly look. "I think we'll get along well, Gohan. You're nice, and you're interested in martial arts too. It'll be good to have you here, it'll add a little more fun."
Gohan ache nodded, his gaze more relaxed. "I'm glad you think so. I think we'll get along well too. And I agree, it'll be fun to have someone else with whom I can share my passion for martial arts."
"But I think for now I'll go see Sakuya, I'm talking to her about my butler uniform," he chuckled lightly, scratching his head.
Meiling laughs softly along with Gohan, amused by the situation. "Oh, so you're going to be the mansion's new butler, huh? It seems Remilia wants someone handsome to wear the uniform."
Gohan blushes a little again at the mention of his appearance.
"Yes, that's true. Remilia thinks I'll look 'cute' in the uniform," he replies, pouting again. Meiling laughs again, finding Gohan's pout adorable.
"Well, you're not exactly saying no, so I guess you don't mind the idea of wearing the uniform that much." Gohan snorts lightly, but smiles.
"Well, it's not that I don't mind, I just think it's a little ridiculous to be chosen mainly because of my looks. I know how to take care of a mansion, you know."
Meiling nods, with a look of understanding.
"Yes, I see what you mean. But I know you have the skills to take care of a mansion. Remilia is just being a little superficial, as usual."
Gohan chuckles softly, agreeing. "Yeah, that's true. Remilia can be pretty shallow sometimes. But that's okay, if the only condition for living here is wearing a uniform, I can deal with that."
Meiling smirks, with a mischievous look. "Oh, so you're really going to accept the offer to be a butler? It seems like Remilia won you over with the uniform."
Gohan chuckles, but tries not to look too affected by Meiling's teasing.
"Yeah, I think I'll accept the offer to be the mansion's butler. But it's not just because of the uniform, I really need a place to stay. And the mansion seems to be quite welcoming and fun."
Meiling nods, with an approving look. "That's right, the mansion is a very welcoming place. And everyone here is quite friendly, except maybe Flandre, but she's kind of unpredictable and eccentric."
Gohan seems intrigued by the mention of Flandre.
"Flandre, Remilia's junior sister, right? I've heard of her, but I haven't met her yet. Is she really that eccentric?"
Meiling nods with a serious look. "Yes, she's known to be a bit eccentric and unpredictable. She has colossal power, but due to her explosive nature, she's not allowed to leave the mansion's Basement. It's best to be careful when meeting young miss Flandre."
Gohan nods, with a look of concern. "I understand. It seems like she's really powerful and potentially dangerous. I'll be careful when meeting her. But why did Remilia keep her locked up in the basement for so long?"
Meiling sighs, with a look of regret. "It's complicated. Flandre has a power that can cause catastrophic damage, and Remilia fears that she might lose control and cause mass destruction. That's why she decided it's best to keep her locked up in the basement, as cruel as it may seem."
Gohan seems understanding, but saddened by the situation. "I understand. It must be hard for Remilia to make a decision like that, locking up her own little sister like that. But if it's to protect other people and keep Flandre from causing harm, I think it's understandable."
Meiling nods, looking sad.
"Yes, it's a complicated situation. Remilia really cares about Flandre, but she knows she can't trust her completely. That's why she chose to confine her to the basement. It's tough, but it's the only way to protect herself, the other residents of the mansion, and Gensokyo as a whole."
Gohan falls silent for a moment.
"..."
"Maybe I'll go visit sometime, no one deserves to be alone like that."
Meiling nods, looking approving.
"That's very kind of you, Gohan. I think Flandre really gets lonely being stuck in the basement all the time. It's good that you thought about visiting her."
Gohan smiles, with a look of determination. "Yes, I want to get to know more of the residents of the mansion, especially someone who has been trapped in the basement for so long. I will try to visit Flandre when I get the chance."
Meiling smiles back, impressed by Gohan's initiative.
"You are very compassionate, Gohan. Flandre will probably appreciate your visit. But remember, she can be unpredictable, so be careful when interacting with her."
...
...
After that, Gohan went to his room where Remilia made it available to him.
"..."
He is currently lying on his bed, reflecting. Gohan remains lying on his bed, thinking about everything that has happened so far.
He thinks about his life in the past, the battles he has faced, the friends he has lost, and finally the world he finds himself in now.
He thinks about how different everything is, and questions if he is truly prepared to live in this new environment. As he thinks, Gohan feels a bit lonely and nostalgic for the world he left behind. He wonders if his friends and family are still alive, and if he will ever be able to return home.
But he also wonders if there is something for him in this place, and if he can finally find peace and belonging in this world.
Gohan continues to lie in bed, lost in thought.
his thoughts. Finally, he sighs and decides to get up, not wanting to spend any more time brooding in self-pity. He thinks about taking advantage of the opportunity he has been given and trying to integrate himself into this new world he is now part of.
Gohan gets out of bed and goes to the window, looks outside and sees that night has fallen over Gensokyo. He thinks it is a perfect night to take a flight through the air and explore a little more of this new world that now welcomes him.
Gohan opens the bedroom window and jumps into the air, starting to fly towards the starry sky of Gensokyo. He feels a light breeze on his face and observes the landscape below, admiring the beauty of this world so different from the one he left behind.
As he flies, Gohan notices the absence of city lights, only the illumination of the stars and the moon. Gensokyo seems immensely peaceful at this time of night.
Gohan closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, feeling momentarily relaxed in the stillness of the night.
Gohan continues to fly calmly, with no specific destination in mind. He simply lets the light breeze guide him as he observes the landscapes below. At one point, he comes across a small forest below him.
Gohan descends a little, so he can see the forest in more detail. The forest looks dense and a little mysterious, with the trees intertwining with each other. Gohan feels a sense of curiosity and decides to land in the forest to explore a little more.
As soon as Gohan lands on the ground, he begins to walk through the forest, listening to the sound of the silence of the night broken only by the sounds of insects and nature. The forest is dark, and Gohan uses his Ki to enhance his vision, allowing him to see a little better amidst the darkness of the forest.
*!Sheeer!*
As Gohan walks through the forest, he begins to hear small noises and strange sounds around him.
He becomes a little more attentive and tries to discern the source of these sounds. He continues to walk through the trees, curious and alert.
As he approaches a nearby bush, Gohan hears a louder sound, as if something had moved inside the bush. He slowly approaches, trying to see what is hiding there.
Gohan approaches the bush and bends down to take a closer look. He notices a slight movement inside the bush, indicating that something or someone is hiding there. Gohan becomes curious and slowly reaches out to see what is inside.
*!Sheeer!*
*!Sheeer!*
As Gohan reaches out, suddenly, something jumps out of the bush and flies towards him, almost making him trip. Gohan quickly regains his composure and realizes that what jumped out of the bush is a small, strangely familiar animal.
Gohan is surprised to have been caught off guard by the animal, but then realizes that it looks familiar. The animal resembles a fox, but with a longer tail and a somewhat mysterious air. Gohan recognizes this species of animal immediately.
"A kitsune..." Gohan mutters to himself as he watches the fox walking in circles around him. He is not sure if the animal is hostile or not, so he remains prepared for anything.
The fox continues to walk around Gohan, watching him carefully. After a moment, it comes closer to him and sniffs him, as if curious.
The fox stands in front of Gohan, still sniffing him. Gohan remains alert, but after a few moments he realizes that the fox is not showing any hostility or aggression. On the contrary, it seems to be just very curious.
"...I've heard of Kitsunes before, but I've never seen one before," he says, looking at the fox's many tails.
The fox continues to look at Gohan, its many tails swinging behind it. Gohan slowly reaches out, trying to get closer and touch it.
"It must be a rare species. From what I've heard, they are considered mystical and powerful beings, with powers related to illusions and magic."
As Gohan speaks, the fox continues to look at him, with an expression almost of curiosity. It lets Gohan reach out and comes closer to him, allowing him to touch it. Gohan gently strokes the animal's head, and notices that its fur is soft and silky.
The fox seems to enjoy the caresses that Gohan is giving it, as it closes its eyes in relaxation. It moves closer to him, rubbing itself against Gohan's legs.
Gohan smiles as he sees how the fox seems to be enjoying the attention he is giving it. He continues to stroke the fox's head and fur, noticing that it seems to be getting more and more comfortable with his presence.
The fox then sits at Gohan's feet, still rubbing itself against his legs. It looks at him with an expression almost of adoration, as if it enjoys his company.
Gohan continues to pet the fox, now sitting on the ground next to it. He observes the animal's almost docile expression and wonders if it is really enjoying its presence, or if it is simply being fooled by an illusion created by it.
The fox seems to really He seems to be enjoying Gohan's caresses, as he continues to rub himself against him and get closer, almost as if he has created a bond between them.
Gohan smiles at the unexpected situation, thinking about how different it is from the world he knew.
After a while, the fox stops moving and simply sits at Gohan's feet, with its head resting on his legs. It seems to be comfortable and content with his company. Gohan continues to sit on the ground next to the fox, gently petting it while thinking about how unlikely this situation is. He wonders if the fox is really friendly, or if it is trying to trick him with some kind of illusion.
After a few minutes, Gohan stops petting the fox and observes it. It remains sitting at his feet, with its head resting on its legs. It seems to be simply enjoying Gohan's presence and shows no signs of hostility or deception.
Gohan sighs, thinking about how strange it is to have this interaction with a kitsune. He wonders if it's normal for these animals to be so friendly, or if this particular fox is different.
"Are you a fox or something? Or is this just your form?" Gohan asks.
The fox looks at Gohan with an almost incomprehensible expression, as if it didn't understand the question. It continues to sit at his feet, now looking at him with a somewhat inquisitive expression.
"...well, I think I'll be going now, take care, okay?" Gohan gives it one last pat on the head before floating into the air.
The fox tilts its head, with an almost sad expression on its face. It doesn't seem to want Gohan to leave. It watches him get up and start floating into the air, as if it's mourning his departure.
Gohan observes the fox's somewhat sad expression and feels a little bad for leaving it alone in the forest. He considers going back and spending more time with it, but he decides that he's had enough interaction for one night. He waves goodbye and remains in the air, ready to fly on.
The fox looks at Gohan, with the sad expression still on her face. She stands still on the ground, watching him float through the air, as if she were sad to see him go. She remains still, continuing to watch him until he disappears into the distance.
The fox remains alone in the forest, watching the distance where Gohan has gone. She remains sitting on the ground for a few moments, and then lets out a sound almost like a sigh, a mix between sadness and longing.
When looking at where the fox was, Ran Yakumo's true form is revealed, a young woman with a hat, blond hair and yellow eyes, with nine tails and long white clothes with dark blue details. She remains standing in the forest, watching in the direction Gohan left.
Ran looks thoughtfully at the direction Gohan went, then closes her eyes and sighs. She remains standing in silence, as if reflecting on what has just happened.
After a few moments of standing still, Ran opens her eyes and lets out a sigh, as if she has concluded her inner musings. She begins walking in the direction Gohan disappeared, ready to continue keeping him as a target for observation.
As she walks through the forest in the direction Gohan has gone, Ran thinks about what just happened. She remembers the unexpected interaction he had with his fox form, and how he treated her with care and affection. She continues walking, a thoughtful expression on her face, before stepping into a portal that appears in reality.
"I guess I'll have to report this to Yukari-sama..."
She enters the portal, to Yukari's mansion, ready to report her observation of the new visitor named Gohan. The portal closes behind her as she disappears from the forest.

*Another Day*
...
...
During the late afternoon, Gohan decides to leave the mansion and take a walk.
"I'll be back soon Meiling-san"
"Have a nice trip Gohan-kun!"
...
...
Gohan is alone for a while, but then he decides to take a walk, ki envelops his body and he begins to fly in the sky.
Gohan flies through the sky, enjoying the unique scenery of Gensokyo from above. As he flies,
he notices that the sky has started to turn slightly orange due to the sunset.
The night is starting to approach, and Gohan decides to land for a moment, and takes a brief stop on top of a small hill.
He stands there for a while, looking down at the land of Gensokyo below him.
It is a beautiful yet surreal sight, with the strange and mystical creatures and landscapes of the land visible in the distance.
"...Incridible" Gohan murmury.
As he stands there, enjoying the view and the peacefulness of the moment, Gohan is suddenly interrupted by a loud, screeching sound.
Gohan turns his head towards the source of the noise, and sees a strange creature flying towards him, it seems to be some kind of youkai, with a somewhat bat-like appearance.
The youkai, sensing Gohan's presence, comes straight towards him at high speed, with its fangs bared and a threatening look on its face.
"Ghrr!!"
Gohan quickly senses the youkai's aggressive intentions, and prepares himself for a fight.
The youkai closes in on him,and tries to strike him with its claws but Gohan dodges the attack, and prepares to counterattack.
Gohan easily dodges the Youkai's blow and elbows the Youkai right in his face.
The youkai is caught off guard by Gohan's quick counterattack, and it is sent back by the force of the elbow strike, stumbling back a few steps
It then looks at Gohan with a threatening glare, and lets out a loud screech before charging towards him again.
Gohan then punches the youkai in the face with some force.
"Be quiet!"
The youkai is sent flying back by Gohan's punch, and it crashes to the ground a few meters away
It tries to get back up, but it seems dazed and wounded, the force of Gohan's punch left it weakened.
The youkai struggles to get up,but it appears still dazed and weak,it glances up at Gohan with a mix of pain and fear in its eyes but it doesn't make any attempts to attack again.
"..."
Gohan then leaves him alone and goes down to fly again leaving the Youkai alone.
...
...
The youkai watches as Gohan flies away, and doesn't try to follow or attack him again.
It struggles to get up, and remains on the ground, recovering from the damage it received from Gohan's attacks.
...
...
Meanwhile, Gohan continues to fly through the air, enjoying the unique and beautiful sights of Gensokyo from above, and the feeling of the wind against his skin.
As he soars through the sky, he passes over the large and imposing Scarlet Devil Mansion, and he can see the lights on inside, indicating that there are still some people awake in there.
Gohan glances at the mansion for a moment, and he can see a few figures moving inside,as well as some shadows in the windows, but he continues flying through the air without stopping.
Gohan thinks to himself.
"I'll keep exploring, Gensokyo is very beautiful" Gohan says flying.
As Gohan continues to fly and explore, he sees more of the unique landscapes and sights of Gensokyo.
He can see strange creatures and youkai going about their business,as well as magical trees and flowers, and the beautiful night sky above him.
The night breeze blows against Gohan's face as he continues to soar through the sky,and he can't help but be amazed by the scenery around him,it's like a magical and surreal dream.
Gohan continues to fly for a while longer, admiring the beauty of the night, and enjoying the feeling of freedom and peace that the sky gives him...

*Another Day*
...
...
Gohan was outside the Scarlet Devil Mansion, practicing his fighting techniques alone. The wind rustled through the trees, providing a peaceful background for his training session. He focused on his breath, his punches fast and precise, as though he was fighting an invisible enemy. Sweat trickled down his face as he gave it his all, his expression serious and determined.
His punches and kicks were powerful and fluid, each movement exuding control and skill. Gohan's fighting style seemed to be refined but also flexible, adapted perhaps from martial arts from his own world. He moved with ease and agility, as if this kind of training were his second nature.
He focused on his form, ensuring that each strike was executed with the perfect balance of power and precision. He also seemed to be practicing blocks and dodges, his body twisting and turning to avoid imaginary attacks. His breathing remained steady and controlled, despite the vigorous workout he was putting himself through.
The sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting the surroundings in a warm golden hue. Gohan continued to train, his expression one of intense concentration. Anyone watching would be struck by the sense of dedication and discipline in every movement of his body.
He continued his routine, pausing only for a few sips of water from a nearby bottle. His muscles were beginning to ache and his breath was coming out in short gasps, but he pushed himself further, his face set in a determined grimace.
...
...
*A little later*
...
...
Gohan walked over to Meiling, who was standing guard at the entrance to the mansion as usual. He offered her a friendly smile as he approached.
"Hey, Meiling" he said, his voice warm and cheerful. "How's it going?"
Meiling looked up from her day-dreaming as she heard Gohan's greeting. A lazy smile spread across her face, and she stifled a yawn as she stretched her arms above her head.
"Ah, Gohan-kun. It's good to see you," she replied in a sleepy voice. "It's another slow day here, nothing exciting going on."
Gohan chuckled at Meiling's typical response. He was used to her laid-back attitude by now, and it was almost endearing.
"I could tell" he joked light-heartedly, gesturing around him.
"Looks like you were in the middle of your daily napping."
Meiling smirked, not denying the obvious. She put her hands on her hips and gave a light-hearted pout.
"Hey, you try standing here all day without getting bored. It's harder than it looks, you know. Plus, the sun is out and the weather is nice."
Gohan chuckled again, raising his hands in mock surrender. He knew better than to argue with Meiling about her naps.
"Alright, alright, I surrender," he said with a laugh.
"I can see how standing guard day after day can make one drowsy. You've got my respect for enduring it with so much grace."
Meiling laughed lightly at Gohan's response, clearly enjoying the banter. She leaned back against the wall, still wearing her usual lazy smile.
"Hey, I always say that being lazy is an art form," she said with a wink. "And I'm one of the masters."
She stifled another yawn, her eyes almost closing completely.
Gohan chuckled again, shaking his head in amusement. He knew Meiling was all talk and no action, and that she would probably be back to napping the moment he turned away.
"Yes, yes, you're the pinnacle of the lazy art form, I have no doubt about it," he teased, a smirk on his face.
Meiling pouted again, pretending to look offended. But the corners of her mouth twitched slightly, revealing her true amusement.
"Hey, watch it, Gohan-kun" she warned half-heartedly, trying(and failing) to sound stern. "Or I might have to start charging you for my lazy services."
Gohan held up his hands in a mock gesture of surrender once more, a wide grin on his face. He enjoyed their banter, finding Meiling's lazy but playful personality endearing.
"Alright, alright, I take it back," he said, his tone light and teasing. "And I promise I won't tell Remilia about your... services."
Meiling's fake pouting expression quickly morphed into a sly grin. She chuckled and shot a sly wink at Gohan.
"Of course you won't," she said, her lazy tone holding a hint of mischief. "You know I have my own unique charm that not even Remilia can resist."
Gohan laughed at Meiling's cheeky response. He knew she was right; despite her lax nature, there was something about her that made her endearing. Even Remilia seemed to tolerate her behavior, perhaps due to that same charm Meiling talked about.
"Yeah, yeah, I can see how your charm works miracles on everyone, Meiling" he teased.
Meiling chuckled again, clearly pleased at Gohan's response. She feigned a little bow, her smirk growing wider.
"Oh, you bet it does," she said, her voice still casual but filled with false confidence. "It's not just my day naps that keep everyone here in the mansion, you know. It's my irresistible charm."
Gohan rolled his eyes again, amused by Meiling's exaggerated confidence. He knew she was mostly kidding, but there was a subtle truth in her words as well.
"How could I ever doubt your powers of persuasion?" he said, his tone dry and sarcastic.
He strikes a pose, as if prostrating her in adoration.
"Oh! goddess of beauty! your laziness is too enormous!" he jokes.
Meiling burst into laughter at Gohan's over-the-top pose. She clutched her stomach, trying to control her amusement.
"Oh, my goodness, Gohan-kun!" she said between laughs. "Are you trying to flatter me or mock me?"
Gohan continued to maintain the pose, struggling to keep a straight face. He then struck a dramatic pose of feigned seriousness.
"Neither. I'm merely paying homage to the undisputed queen of indolence," he said, his voice thick with faux reverence.
"And I, as the Hero of justice that I am, came to brighten your afternoon!" he says, posing Captain Ginyu style.
Meiling let out another laugh, her eyes lighting up with amusement. She clapped her hands together in a mockingly reverent way.
"Oh, how gracious of you, hero of justice!" she proclaimed, her tone dripping with faux awe. "To think you would deign to brighten my afternoon with your heroic presence!"
Gohan continued to strike various poses, trying to keep a serious face, but failing and letting a smirk appear on his face.
"Indeed, I couldn't bear the thought of you suffering through your arduous task of watching the gate all day without some heroic intervention," he replied, trying to keep up the facade.
Meiling chuckled, clearly enjoying Gohan's playfulness. She played along, faking a swoon as she put the back of her hand against her forehead.
"Oh, how I dread the monotony of my role as gatekeeper! Pray, save me from the torment of boredom!"
Gohan continued to ham up his heroic act.
"Worry not!" he exclaimed with melodramatic flair. "The Hero of Justice has heard your plea! I shall save you from the clutches of ennui and bring excitement back to your dull and repetitive routine!"
Meiling raised an eyebrow, playing along with a sly smirk.
"Really?"she asked, feigning disbelief.
"And how, pray tell, do you plan to accomplish this monumental feat?"
Gohan put on a mock-serious expression, crossing his arms dramatically in front of his chest. He began to count on his fingers, as if listing his plan of action.
"Fear not, for I have a three-step plan!" he declared.
"Stage One: Banter! Stage Two: More Banter! And the final stage, and by far the most important: Boredom-Killing Shenanigans!"
Meiling laughed, thoroughly entertained by Gohan's plan. She tried to appear thoughtful, but her amusement was unmistakable.
"Ah, I see," she said, playing along. "So your plan involves a plethora of witty banter, followed by a hefty dose of shenanigans. Truly a foolproof strategy."
Gohan nodded vigorously, his expression remaining serious as he continued his act.
"Indeed, it is!" he confirmed. "And the best part is, since I am a hero, I have a secret fourth step! When all else fails... The Hero of Justice Ex Machina will make his appearance and save the day!"
Meiling chuckled again, shaking her head in mock disapproval.
"Ah, the Hero of Justice Ex Machina, a reliable and foolproof solution," she said, her tone light and playful. "I suppose I should feel honored that such a powerful ability will be used specifically for my benefit."
Gohan smirked, clearly enjoying their little game.
"Absolutely!" he proclaimed, puffing out his chest.
"Only the finest heroic interventions for the hardest-working lazy gatekeeper in Gensokyo!"
...
...
As Gohan and Meiling continued their playful banter, neither of them noticed the sly watching eyes of Sakuya watching them from inside the mansion. She observed from a slightly open window, a soft smile on her face.
...
...
Gohan spent the last few days at the mansion, taking the opportunity to rest and recover from the many emotions he had been through. After many years, he finally had some time to himself, without the need to always be fighting or training.
These days Gohan has been training with Meiling and visiting Gensokyo a lot, in addition to working a lot as a butler.
Between training with Meiling and visiting the world of Gensokyo, Gohan has also been working as a butler and helping out at the mansion. He has taken the opportunity to get to know the best of the place and its people.
Even between work and training obligations, Gohan has still been spending plenty of time having fun and exploring Gensokyo. He has been taking the opportunity to see the sights, learn about the culture and history of the place.
Gohan continues his regular routine, training with Meiling, working as a butler, and visiting Gensokyo. But he still has the constant feeling that someone is watching him, which he tries to ignore, thinking it is just his imagination.
As he walks through the Human Village, Gohan looks around curiously. He observes the villagers, who are going about their normal lives in Gensokyo. Gohan wonders curiously what their normal routine is like.
As he continues to walk through the village, Gohan observes the shops, temples, and houses that pass by his vision as he walks. He looks at the expressions of the people around him and is surprised by how calm and peaceful the whole routine is.
Gohan continues exploring the Human Village, looking at the townspeople going about their lives as if everything were a normal routine. He observes the children playing in the streets, the adults talking, and everyone seems completely adapted to this different society.
As he continues to walk, Gohan looks around the Human Village, marveling at the culture of Gensokyo. So far, his time in this society has been unlike any other experience he has had. He continues to walk and observes every aspect of the village, every person passing by on the streets, every expression on each face. He wonders how people of each race can coexist in such harmony.
After a few hours, as he continues to walk through the village, Gohan passes through the center of the town and finds a square with a fountain in the middle. He sits on one of the benches around the square and gazes at the fountain in front of him. The villagers pass by the paths of the square, seeming to be living normal, carefree lives in the quiet of the morning.
Gohan looks at the fountain in front of him and the movement of people in the square. He feels an unexpected peace at this moment, seeing all these normal lives unfolding before his eyes. After so much fighting and conflict, this sudden calm is a welcome change.
After a few minutes of watching the fountain, Gohan gets up from the bench and continues walking around the square, watching the city that continues to move around him. He looks at the people with expressions of calm and contentment. For Gohan, this scene is almost surreal.
After a while of observing the peaceful human routine, Gohan walks through the city streets again. As he walks, he observes the shops, temples, and houses around him, admiring the architectural appearance of each of them, all with unique details and an expression of tranquility.
Gohan sees a young girl walking in the opposite direction from him. She has green hair and is wearing what Gohan assumes is the clothing of a shrine priestess. He is curious about her appearance, and wonders if he should try to make conversation with her.
After a moment of hesitation, Gohan decides that it might be a good idea to try talking to the green-haired girl. He approaches her cautiously, trying not to appear threatening or rude.
Gohan quickens his pace a bit, and when he gets close to the young girl, he clears his throat and looks at her with a friendly expression.
"Hi, how are you? Sorry if I'm bothering you, but are you a shrine maiden?" Gohan asks, his voice friendly and respectful.
The young girl turns to Gohan with a slightly curious expression. She looks him up and down for a moment, probably surprised by the foreigner trying to make conversation. After a few seconds, she opens a small smile on her face and nods her head in agreement to Gohan's question.
Gohan watches the young girl nod in agreement to his question, and is a little surprised by her apparent friendliness. He returns the nod and continues to look at her, waiting for her to say something.
The priestess stands there, a small smile on her face. She continues to look at Gohan, perhaps surprised by his presence there, but doesn't say anything for now. He decides that perhaps he should introduce himself.
Gohan tries to break the ice of the situation and tries to introduce himself.
"My name is Gohan, it's a pleasure to meet you." he said, with a small nod.
The young priestess looks at Gohan with a slightly surprised expression. It seems that she perhaps didn't expect him to speak to her like that out of the blue, but her face remains calm and friendly, with no indication of refusal to talk. After a few seconds, she recovers from her surprise and also tries to start a conversation.
"Hello, Gohan. My name is Sanae," she says with a slight nod. "I... I'm surprised that a stranger would come up to me and talk to me like that out of the blue."
Gohan hears her name and tries to commit it to memory. He also notices her surprise at his sudden approach to the conversation. He smiles slightly and replies, "Sorry if it seemed a little intrusive, I was curious to see your priestly attire. I hope it wasn't rude of me."
Somehow, his attempted apology seems to be received positively. The young priestess, now known as Sanae, seems to accept his apology calmly, still with that slight smile on her face.
"Oh, no, it's not invasive, don't worry. It's just that I don't have much experience talking to strangers," she replies, with a slight hint of shyness.
Gohan sees that the young priestess, Sanae, seems to have accepted his apology calmly and amicably. He realizes that she doesn't have much experience talking to strangers, and this seems a bit funny, given her job as a priestess at the shrine.
He stands there, a slight smile on his face, and keeps his gaze on the priestess. He thinks about what topic to bring up to continue the conversation. Maybe he should ask more about the shrine or the things she does as a priestess, given her appearance.
After a few moments of thought, Gohan decides to ask Sanae a few things about the shrine. "Sorry if I'm being nosy, but could you tell me more about your work at the shrine? I know very little about the place, and I'm really curious."
The young priestess, Sanae, listens to Gohan's question with a thoughtful expression. After a few moments, she seems to be happy with the question, and speaks in a soft voice: "Of course, I can explain a little about my job at the shrine. I am one of the priestesses who takes care of the temple and the prayer offerings, and I also take care of the masses."
Gohan listens intently to Sanae's explanation of her job as a shrine maiden. It seems that she is responsible for tasks such as taking care of the temple and prayer offerings, as well as preparing the masses. He is genuinely interested in this explanation, and is a bit impressed by the extent of her duties, considering she is a young lady.
After hearing her, Gohan remains looking at her, with a slightly impressed expression. After a few moments, he thinks of a new question to ask. "Hmm… I may be being a little intrusive again, but are you the only priestess there at the shrine? Are there other people like you?"
The young priestess, Sanae, continues to listen to Gohan with an attentive expression, and when he asks the question, a thoughtful expression appears on her face. She remains like that for a few seconds, thinking before answering, and then responds: "No, I'm not the only priestess in the shrine. There are other people like me, also taking care of the place. Why?"
Gohan listens to Sanae's explanation and watches her thoughtful expression for a moment. After she asks him a question, Gohan remembers something else, and decides to ask her one more question. "Hmm, speaking of which, do you and the other priestesses live at the shrine, or do you have homes outside?"
The young priestess, Sanae, hears Gohan's new question and continues to ponder for a moment, thinking about how to respond. She remains silent for a few seconds, and then answers: "Well, actually, I am a priestess of the Moriya Shrine, but unfortunately I am the only priestess of that shrine, there is another one who is from the Hakurei Shrine."
Gohan hears Sanae's new information, and is a bit surprised by the news. He expected there to be more priestesses at the Moriya Shrine besides her, since she is young. He tries to hide the surprise in his voice and asks curiously, "Only two priestesses? That's all?"
The young priestess, Sanae, remains calm despite Gohan's slight sign of surprise. She answers his question confidently, "Yes, unfortunately. The Moriya Shrine is small, so there's only me there and the goddesses from our shrine. The Hakurei Shrine has a few more members, and is the most traditional in Gensokyo. It's much more organized."
Gohan listens to Sanae's explanation about the two shrines and the differences between them. He remains thoughtful for a few moments, absorbing all this new information. After a few seconds, Gohan remembers something and decides to ask one more question. "Hmm, speaking of those shrines, you mentioned two goddesses in your shrine? Who are they?"
Sanae Kochiya smiles slightly.
"It's Ms. Suwako and Ms. Kanako, they're the main ones from Moriya Shrine, Hakurei Shrine is a different doctrine, so we're kind of different in faith."
Gohan listens to Sanae's explanation about the two goddesses of the Moriya Shrine. He is a little intrigued by her words: "Are they the main goddesses of the shrine? Does that mean they play an important role in the running of the place?"
Sanae nods in agreement. "That's right, they're very important. It's thanks to them that we're able to offer our services, and keep our place intact. Miss Kanako is very kind, but Mrs. Suwako is a bit harder to please!"
Gohan listens to Sanae's explanation about the two goddesses, and laughs a little at the end of the explanation, thinking about how this Lady Suwako seems to be a bit difficult to deal with. He continues to stand there, with an interested expression, trying to absorb all the new information.
After a few moments, Gohan remembers one more thing, and decides to ask Sanae: "Hmm, you mentioned the service you offer. It's a prayer service, right?"
The young priestess nods again. "Yes, yes, exactly. The prayer service is our main focus, and where we primarily work. We believe that prayers are an important source of energy for the gods, and they use them to protect the land."
Gohan listens again to Sanae's explanation of the prayer service offered by the shrine. He is a bit intrigued by the idea that prayers have some kind of energetic effect on the gods, and decides to ask: "Hmm, energy? You mean the prayers of the devotees nourish something?"
The young priestess, Sanae, nods again. "Yes, exactly that. It's as if the prayers are a way to feed the goddesses' energy. The more devotion, the more energy she receives, and the more powerful she becomes. That's how they maintain the peace and protection of all of Gensokyo."
Gohan listens with interest to Sanae's explanation, and is a little intrigued by this concept. He stands there, with a thoughtful expression. After a few moments, he decides to try one last question: "Hmm, and how does this part of offering prayers work? Is it something like an official service? Could I do that too?"
The young priestess, Sanae, watches Gohan for a moment, pondering his question. After a few moments, she answers, "Well, yes, we at Moriya Shrine offer this service as an organized and official form of prayer. If you are interested in contributing, of course you can, just come to the shrine and participate in our services, or simply say your own prayers if you wish."
Gohan listens to Sanae's explanation and nods in understanding. It seems that there is indeed the option of attending mass or simply saying one's own prayers in private. He stands there, thoughtful, and decides to ask one more thing: "Hmm, can I ask one more question? It's about something else."
The young priestess, Sanae, looks at Gohan again, and nods politely. "Of course, you can ask as much as you want. I'm here to answer."
Gohan nods in gratitude, and continues: "Hmm, I was wondering, how does this prayer thing work anyway? How would I actually do my prayer? Is there a specific pattern to how I should do it, or could I just follow my own desires?"
The young priestess, Sanae, listens attentively to Gohan's question, and after a few moments of thought, she replies: "Well, actually, there is no specific pattern to how to say a prayer. You can follow your own desires and words. What really matters is your devotion and willingness to connect with the divine. You can simply speak honestly what you wish, and that already counts as a prayer."
Gohan listens attentively to Sanae's explanation, and is a little relieved to learn that there is no specific pattern to follow in prayer. He seems to nod in agreement, absorbing this information. After a few moments of silence, he asks another question: "Hmm, speaking of devotion and the desire to connect with the divine, you say that what matters is the personal connection with the divinity or divine force, right?"
The young priestess, Sanae, nods again, reinforcing the concept. "Exactly, personal connection is key. It is in the authenticity of connection and purity of intention that the true power of prayer lies. Devotion and genuine faith are the keys to achieving this connection."
Gohan listens to Sanae's explanation again, and begins to understand the concept of prayer better. He stands there, with a thoughtful expression, and decides to try one more question: "Hmm, could you give me some more tips on how I can make an effective prayer? Any suggestions on how I should prepare my mental state or something?"
The young priestess, Sanae, remains watching Gohan, and is a little thoughtful for a few moments. Then, she answers: "Well, one of the main points is to maintain mental calm and clarity. It is important to eliminate any distractions or negative thoughts. Try to focus on your devotion, and connect to it in a conscious and genuine way. You can also try to visualize the deity or force you want to connect to, to improve the mental connection-"
After that Gohan, since he didn't have much to do and was off work, goes with Sanae Kochiya to her shrine. He followed her out of the village, where they sort of climbed a mountain, called Youkai Mountain.
Gohan was also surprised that she could fly, it seems that in Gensokyo everyone knows that.
Gohan accompanied Sanae Kochiya through the village, following her to the base of Youkai Mountain. As they climbed the mountain, Gohan was impressed to see her flying, as it seemed that such flying ability was common in Gensokyo. As they climbed, Gohan took the opportunity to look around and take in the views of the landscape.
Youkai Mountain was a majestic landscape, with its dense forests and paths covered in mist. Gohan could hear strange sounds from time to time, as if there were mystical and mysterious creatures living there. Youkai Mountain was known to be a place where the barriers between the human world and the youkai world were thinner, which made it easy for strange magical creatures to appear.
As Gohan and Sanae continued climbing, they finally reached the entrance of the Moriya Shrine, which resembled a traditional Japanese temple. The place was surrounded by trees and small mountains. Gohan was amazed at the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere that the place exuded.
Gohan gazes in awe at the Moriya Shrine, with its traditional Japanese architecture surrounded by trees and small mountains surrounding it. The environment around him is one of peace and tranquility, something unusual for Gohan, who was used to a more hectic lifestyle, with training and battles.
Gohan stands still, admiring the scenery before him. He had never seen anything like it before. The tranquility and harmony of the place caught his attention, especially since he lived in a world where he always had to train and engage in battles. While standing there, he decides to ask Sanae: "What an impressive place. Is it always this calm and serene around here?"
The young priestess, Sanae, watches Gohan with a slight smile. She nods in agreement at his observation. "Yes, it usually is. This is a sacred place, where the energy of nature is quite strong here. This tends to have a calming effect on those who visit. It's a place where one can relax and connect with the mystical energies around them."
Gohan stood there, listening intently to Sanae's words. The idea of a sacred place with natural energy and a calming effect on people intrigued him. As he listened, Gohan remembered that he too had spent much of his life focusing on power and energy, but now, in this moment, he seemed to be feeling relaxed, no longer needing to worry about using or controlling his energy.
Gohan also can't get the idea out of his head that his late master Piccolo would like this place.
Gohan continued to take in the sights of the Moriya Shrine, and couldn't help but think that his late mentor, the Namekian known as Piccolo, would probably like this place as well. The natural tranquility of the landscape would probably please him. As he thought about this, Gohan also began to understand why Sanae seemed to be so at peace in this place.
He turns his focus back to the young priestess still present. Gohan stood there, thoughtful for a moment, trying to choose his words carefully. After a few seconds, he decides to ask: "Hmm. That reminds me, you mentioned that you and your deities work with organized prayer services, right? Is that something very difficult to offer?"
The young priestess, Sanae, still stood next to Gohan. She nodded to confirm his question. "Yes, we offer organized prayer services here at the shrine. It is a traditional way of paying homage to the deities. It is not difficult, but it does involve some preparation and a specific ritual of participation."
Gohan nods, showing that he understands. He stands there, with a thoughtful expression. After a few moments, he decides to continue with the questions: "Hmm, speaking of your role here as a priestess, besides the prayer services, do you have any other responsibilities here at the shrine?"
The young priestess, Sanae, stood there, calmly observing Gohan. She answered his question: "In addition to the prayer services, as a priestess, I also have the responsibility of maintaining order and balance here at the shrine. From time to time we have to deal with troublesome creatures that may disturb the peace, and I must also help with the maintenance of the place, such as cleaning, organizing, and other related tasks, but also one of my main jobs is the extermination of Youkais."
Gohan listens attentively to Sanae's words, absorbing the new information. He is curious about the last detail mentioned: "Youkai extermination? Does that mean you fight against these magical creatures?"
The young priestess, Sanae, nods, confirming Gohan's question. "Yes, youkai extermination. We, of the Moriya shrine, have the responsibility of controlling and maintaining the balance between the youkai world and the human world. This means that in some cases, we need to confront and exterminate troublesome youkai creatures that threaten this balance."
Gohan stood there, thinking about what he had just heard. He had not expected that the priestess, in addition to performing prayer services, would also have to deal with magical creatures, especially something that required her to face and even exterminate them. As he thought, he decided to continue with the dialogue: "Hmm, interesting. Do you have any specialty or skill to face these youkai? Or do you have any specific equipment for this job?"
The young priestess, Sanae, remained in her place, ready to answer Gohan's questions. She replied with a slight smile, "Yes, as a priestess, I possess certain types of sacred powers that help me deal with youkai. In addition, I use a sacred lantern sword called a gohei, which is one of the traditional weapons used to deal with supernatural creatures."
Gohan listens to Sanae's words, trying to understand the different powers and sacred weapons she possesses. The idea of a special lantern sword named Gohei sounds intriguing to him. As he absorbs this new information, Gohan decides to ask her further about the subject: "Hm, I see. Can I ask more about these sacred powers you mention? Are they a form of magic or something?"
The young priestess, Sanae, stood there, ready to answer Gohan's questions. She continued to explain: "Yes, the sacred powers I possess are a form of magic, but it is not the same magic as you know. It is a form of control and manipulation of mystical energies, derived from the deities to which I am devoted. It allows me to summon and use specific powers to deal with youkai or assist in shrine tasks."
Gohan listens attentively to Sanae's explanations, trying to better understand this type of magic she has access to. He is intrigued by this form of manipulation of mystical energies, especially with the idea of specific powers to fight youkai. While listening to her, Gohan decides to ask one more question: "Hm, and these mystical energies you mention, where do they come from, exactly?"
The young priestess, Sanae, remains there, thinking for a few moments about the easiest way to explain this to Gohan. She answers in a polite tone: "The mystical energies I refer to are forms of energy that exist in the universe, which can be manipulated and channeled by beings with sacred powers or certain spells. These energies are present everywhere, especially in sacred places like this shrine, where their strength is most intense."
Gohan stands there, trying to absorb more information. He is thinking about the concept of these mystical energies that are present everywhere, especially in sacred places like this. Gohan continues to observe the shrine, trying to sense the energy that Sanae mentioned. After a few moments, Gohan decides to continue: "Hm, interesting. These mystical energies that you mentioned, do they exist in different types of energies or are they all the same? And how do you channel and manipulate them?"
Gohan continued to converse with Sanae Kochiya, absorbing a good deal of information and knowledge. After a while, Gohan made his curiosity apparent, asking, "Sanae, you also mentioned that you are a devotee of one or more deities. Would it be possible for you to meet these deities? I'm curious to learn more about them."
The young priestess, Sanae Kochiya, stood there listening to Gohan's question. She thought for a moment about how to respond. After a few moments, she answered in a gentle tone: "Well, as a priestess, I am devoted to two main gods here at the shrine: the goddess of the mountains, Suwako-sama, and the goddess of wind and rain, Kanako-sama, but the main one is Kanako-sama. It would be possible to meet both of them if you are interested."
Gohan stands there, showing a genuine interest in meeting the goddesses mentioned by Sanae. He responds with a slight nod: "Hmm, yes, I would very much like to meet them, especially the main goddess, Kanako-sama. It will be an interesting experience to meet the deities you are devoted to."
The young priestess, Sanae Kochiya, stands there, smiling slightly. She approaches Gohan, ready to take him to where the deities dwell. She explains, "Okay, then come with me. Kanako-sama is usually in the Main Hall, and Suwako-sama tends to stay in the forests of the shrine."
Gohan nods, showing that he is ready to follow Sanae. He sets off to follow her as she makes her way through the shrine towards the Great Hall, where the main goddess, Kanako-sama, usually resides.
The young priestess, Sanae Kochiya, continues walking through the shrine with Gohan accompanying her. She leads him along the path, passing through the serene landscapes of the shrine, until finally arriving at the Main Hall, where the main goddess, Kanako-sama, usually resides.
Arriving at the Great Hall, Gohan observes the place with interest. He notices the calm and peaceful atmosphere present in the surroundings, indicating that it is indeed the place where the main goddess, Kanako Yasaka, resides. He remains standing there, waiting for Sanae's instructions on how to proceed.
The young priestess, Sanae Kochiya, stands beside Gohan, calmly observing the Great Hall. She calms down for a few moments before looking at Gohan and explaining, "This is where Kanako-sama usually appears. I will go in first to announce her presence. Please wait outside for a moment."
Gohan nods in agreement, showing that he understands. He stands there outside the Great Hall, watching as Sanae, the young priestess, approaches the entrance and enters to announce her presence to the head goddess. Gohan waits patiently, watching and waiting to finally be introduced to the goddess.
...
...
Sanae Kochiya enters the Great Hall and approaches the ethereal presence of Kanako Yasaka. She gives a brief bow, showing respect to the goddess.
Sanae: "Kanako-sama, a young man named Gohan, apparently from the Outside World, has recently arrived at this shrine and wishes to meet you. I am bringing him before you"
Sanae stands still, awaiting Kanako-sama's reaction or instructions.
The ethereal and majestic figure of Kanako Yasaka materializes with astonishing beauty in the Great Hall.
Kanako: "Hmm, a young man from the Outside World has expressed a desire to meet me, has he not? Bring him before me. I would like to see it for myself"
Her soft and gentle gaze remains fixed on Sanae, waiting for Gohan.
Sanae nods in agreement, showing that she understands Kanako's instructions.
Sanae: "Of course, Kanako-sama. I'll bring him over now"
Sanae leaves the Great Hall, heading out to meet up with Gohan again. She approaches him, ready to guide him to Kanako's presence.
...
...
Sanae: "Gohan, you may follow me. Kanako-sama has agreed to receive you and wishes to meet you in person"
Gohan nods in agreement and follows Sanae as she leads him back to the Great Hall. As he walks alongside Sanae, Gohan remains calm and silent, showing genuine respect for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the ethereal and powerful deity Kanako Yasaka.
Arriving back at the Great Hall, Gohan enters accompanied by Sanae, who stands to one side, watching as Gohan approaches the majestic presence of Kanako Yasaka. Kanako remains standing, serenely observing Gohan's figure as he approaches and remains at a respectful distance.
Gohan stops a few meters away from the deity, lowering his head in respect and reverence before her presence.
Gohan: "Kanako-sama, it is a pleasure to meet you. I thank you for the opportunity to be in your presence"
Kanako stands, watching Gohan with her ethereal, wise gaze, with a soft, gentle smile. She answers softly but firmly.
Kanako: "The pleasure is mine, Gohan. It's always nice to meet new travelers here at the shrine. You seem like someone from a different world, don't you?"
Gohan nods again, confirming Kanako's comment.
Gohan: "Yes, Kanako-sama. I am indeed from far away, although I have recently spent some time here at the shrine. I am amazed at the beauty of this place"
Kanako stands, listening to Gohan's words with interest. Her ethereal gaze remains fixed on him as she gently responds.
Kanako: "That's good to hear. The shrine has its own unique beauty, with its special landscapes and energies. Have you had the opportunity to meet the other deities here?"
Gohan nodded again and politely replied:
Gohan: "Yes, Kanako-sama. I have met Sanae, a young priestess who brought me here. She told me about you and the other goddess who resides here, Suwako-sama. Is it true that Sanae is a goddess?"
Kanako nods, confirming Gohan's words.
Kanako: "Yes, that's true. Our dear Sanae is a young priestess, and also a devotee of Suwako-sama, just like me. Suwako-sama is our second main goddess here at the shrine. They are two important deities in this place"
Gohan remains silent for a few moments, processing the information he has received. After a few moments, he looks back at Kanako and asks a few more questions.
Gohan: "Hm, interesting. I'm curious to know more. What are your and Suwako-sama's duties or responsibilities at this shrine? And what is Sanae's role as a young priestess here?"
Kanako continues to observe him with her ethereal gaze, before responding calmly.
Kanako: "Suwako-sama and I are the main deities residing here at the shrine, with various duties and responsibilities. Our duties include maintaining the energy balance, protecting the shrine, and overseeing all activities that occur here, in addition to being sources of wisdom and guidance for those who seek protection and comfort"
She pauses and continues.
"As for Sanae, our young priestess, her main job is to conduct prayer services at the shrine, as well as help with the maintenance and organization of this place, such as cleaning and other tasks. In addition, she is in training to become an experienced and powerful priestess, as well as a dedicated devotee."
Gohan continues to absorb the new information, trying to better understand each person's role in the sanctuary. After a few moments, he decides to ask Kanako one more question.
Gohan: "I noticed that you said that you are responsible for protecting the sanctuary. Does that mean that you face threats and dangers? Or is it just a precaution?"
After much conversation with Kanako, Gohan finally got to the subject of the Moriya Shrine's problems.
"Well, lately our funds have been dwindling and people have been coming to our shrine in fewer numbers..."
She sighs.
"And Suwako-sama and I need more money to buy supplies and food. Besides, Suwako-sama also wants to make some improvements to the shrine."
Kanako pauses for a moment.
"That's also one of the reasons why we moved from the outside world to Gensokyo, because we wanted more faith and followers...but it seems like it didn't work out very well."
Gohan listened intently, absorbing Kanako's words about the problems the shrine was facing.
Gohan: "Hmm, I understand. It seems you're facing some financial difficulties and the number of followers at the shrine is dwindling. That must be frustrating, especially if Suwako-sama was planning to make improvements here"
Gohan also learned that apparently the reason Kanako is the leader of the Moriya Shrine is because she defeated Suwako Moriya several years ago... so she let Suwako live with her, and Suwako's descendant too, which is Sanae, stay with them, since she was a normal student in the outside world too.
Gohan remains attentive, absorbing all the information Kanako provides about the history of the shrine, and especially about her role as leader after having defeated Suwako in the past.
Gohan: "Wait a second, so you defeated Suwako several years ago and that's why you became the leader here at the shrine? And Sanae and her descendant, that's quite interesting..." he says, eyes wide and crossing his arms.
Kanako nods.
Kanako: "Yes, that's true. Suwako and I have clashed in the past, but I have finally managed to become the shrine's leader. Suwako remains here with us, as well as her descendant, Sanae, who has joined us as a priestess. The situation is strange, but peace and harmony have reigned ever since"
Gohan listens, quickly assimilating the information shared by Kanako.
Gohan: "Hmm, I see. It seems that despite the past rivalry between the two of you, the situation has stabilized and today everyone lives together in harmony. You mentioned that peace reigns here, but you also mentioned problems with a lack of resources and followers, right?"
Kanako returns with her serious expression.
Kanako: "Yes, unfortunately that is true. Despite the stability, the number of followers has decreased recently and our financial resources have also been affected. All of this could directly affect our ability to maintain the shrine and continue to provide our devotees with a place of protection"
she floats lightly while sitting, as if in a meditation pose.
Gohan listens intently as Kanako floats lightly in her meditation pose.
Gohan: "I see. It seems that financial challenges and a dwindling number of followers are becoming a major concern for you. How have you been dealing with these issues lately?"
Kanako looks back at Gohan.
Kanako: "Well, Suwako-sama and I are constantly looking for ways to attract more devotees and resources to the shrine. We are trying to promote the image of the shrine and encourage more people to come and meet us. In addition, we are keeping in touch with our faithful to ensure that their needs and requests are met"
she remains in her position, watching Gohan with her wise gaze.
Gohan continues to listen to Kanako's words with interest, noticing the seriousness in her voice as she lists the efforts they are making to deal with the current situation at the shrine.
Gohan: "I see. It seems like you guys are doing your best to attract more devotees and resources..."
Gohan looks thoughtful.
"... do you guys need help? I could help if you want, wherever I can"
Kanako nods in thought, noticing Gohan's offer.
Kanako: "Ah, it's very kind of you to offer your help. The truth is, any help is welcome, especially in a situation like ours. If you're truly offering your help, I'll be grateful for any efforts and contributions you can make to us"
Gohan nods in understanding, determined to help.
Gohan: "Sure, I'd like to help. What tasks or responsibilities could I take on to help with the shrine's current problems?"
Kanako looks thoughtfully at Gohan, pondering the options available to him for helping.
Kanako: "Well, if you'd like to help, perhaps we can find some work you can do. As I said, the main issue is to attract more devotees and resources to the shrine. We're already trying to promote the shrine's image, and you could help with that as well. Also, we might need your strength and special abilities in certain situations, but for now, promoting the shrine would be a great help"
...
...
Several days passed in Gensokyo, while Gohan continued to work for Remilia at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. However, despite his busy schedule, he did not forget his offer to help Kanako and the inhabitants of the Moriya Shrine.
One afternoon, Gohan made his way to the Moriya Shrine, to fulfill his promise to help with the necessary tasks.
Gohan arrives at the shrine, noticing the beauty and peace of the place. After a few moments, he spots Sanae, who is taking care of the day's chores. As he approaches her, Gohan greets her.
Gohan: "Ah, hello Sanae. I've come to help with the shrine chores."
Sanae hears Gohan and turns to him when she notices his presence.
Sanae: "Oh, hello Gohan! It's good to see you back here at the shrine. You really came to help us, right? We really appreciate it"
Sanae stops her activities and approaches him.
Gohan nods in confirmation.
Gohan: "Yes, I've come to fulfill my promise to help in any way I can. What can I do to get started?"
Sanae smiles, grateful for Gohan's offer of help.
Sanae: "Great! Thank you very much for keeping your word. Well, let's start by showing you around the facilities and helping you clean and organize them. Can you help clean the outside areas first?"
Gohan smiles slightly.
"Sure"
...
...
The hours pass, and Gohan works hard, helping to clean and organize the shrine's outdoor facilities. After a few hours, Gohan spots Sanae sitting near the shrine as the afternoon sun declines.
Gohan: *panting* "Pfft... Well, I guess everything is in order for now."
Gohan arrives at Sanae's location, wiping the sweat from his forehead. As he approaches, he can observe the tranquility of the place as the afternoon sun sets on the horizon.
Gohan approaches and sits next to Sanae, watching the peaceful view of the shrine at sunset. A few moments pass in silence, as Gohan enjoys the peace and beauty of the place.
Gohan takes a deep breath, relaxing a bit after the physical labor of the last few hours.
Gohan: "Hmm, it's really beautiful here, especially at sunset. I realize now why people are drawn to this place."
Gohan continues to admire the view while Sanae remains seated, silent.
Gohan: "Is it the natural landscapes, the tranquility of the place, or the atmosphere of mystery and mysticism that surrounds the shrine?"
As Gohan continues to observe the landscape, he turns his head towards Sanae, noticing her sitting silently, with an almost thoughtful expression.
"..."
Gohan raises an eyebrow.
"... are you okay?"
Sanae hears Gohan's question and turns her head towards him, coming out of her pensive state.
Sanae: *sighs* "Ah, yes, I'm fine. Just pensive, just enjoying the beauty of the sunset."
Gohan notices Sanae's thoughtful expression and listens to her explanation. Meanwhile, he continues to watch the sunset, reflecting on her words.
Gohan: "Hm... that's understandable. It's easy to get thoughtful while watching something as beautiful as the sunset. Do you have a lot on your mind?"
Sanae responds with a slight sigh.
Sanae: "Hm... There are a few things, actually. Mainly related to the shrine. The situation has been a bit difficult lately due to the drop in the number of devotees and financial resources. I'm wondering what we can do to attract more people and resources here..."
Gohan goes silent.
"...Yes, indeed, your job as a Youkai exterminator... is it for the reason of wanting to attract followers?" Gohan asks curiously.
Sanae hears Gohan's question about her job as a Youkai slayer, and she nods.
Sanae: "Yes, that's true. My main role here is as a priestess and a Youkai slayer. Attracting more devotees is part of the plan to strengthen the protection and faith in the shrine."
"... I see, I know you guys have your beliefs and everything... but why are you, Miss Suwako and Kanako-Sama so fixated on this?... I mean, you guys could have your lives normally. Does it have to do with faith, or faith and the number of followers maintaining their existence?" Gohan tries.
Sanae continues speaking, watching the sunset.
Sanae: "Kanako and Suwako also believe in the power of faith. The more devotees we have, the more power we can access, and consequently, the more we can offer in terms of protection, blessings, and granted requests."
Gohan continues to listen, absorbing Sanae's words about the importance of faith and devotees in their religion.
Gohan: "I see, so the power you can access is directly related to the number of devotees you have. This is important for the protection and well-being of those who come seeking help..."
Gohan now understands Sanae a little.
'She works very hard at her jobs because she cares about her two mother figures, so that's why she works so hard'
'It must be painful for her not to be able to help much' he thinks melancholically.
Sanae continues to answer as she watches the night sky set in.
Sanae: "Yes, that's true. It's a cycle. The more followers we have, the more power we can access. This helps us maintain protection and offer blessings to those in need. That's why Kanako-sama and I work hard to attract more devotees and resources to the shrine. We want to ensure that the shrine can continue to protect those who come here for help."
Gohan fell silent, absorbing Sanae's words. Meanwhile, the dark night finally took over the shrine, lit only by the stars and a faint light emanating from the shrine.
Gohan: "I see... it's a huge responsibility. Protecting and helping those who come seeking help... I imagine it must be very pressing for you."
Sanae nods, confirming Gohan's words.
Sanae: "Yes, that's true. It's a big responsibility. Sometimes it gets tiring and pressured. Trying to attract more devotees while taking care of the shrine and the Youkais gets exhausting, especially in the current conditions. But Kanako and Suwako-sama are my guides and I must do my best to support their work... and not let them and the place I represent down."
Gohan listens to Sanae's words, noticing the dedication and determination in her tone of voice. Meanwhile, he notices the way she looks at the shrine with respect and devotion.
Gohan: "You are very dedicated to your work and responsibilities, Sanae. There is no doubt that you care deeply for the shrine and its mother figures. It is not easy to carry such a burden alone in difficult conditions."
Sanae nods, looking a little lonely as she watches the shrine at night.
Sanae: "Yes, that's true. It's hard sometimes, but I have to keep going. Kanako and Suwako-sama have a lot of faith in me, and I can't let them or the shrine down. I want to help bring in more devotees so we can achieve our goal."
Gohan remains silent, watching Sanae as she remains deep in thought.
Gohan: "I greatly respect your commitment to your work and devotion to the shrine. May I ask how you became the priestess and Youkai exterminator of Moriya? What led you to this choice? I mean, from what I heard from Kanako, you lived in the outside world and you were a student."
Sanae answers with a slight sigh.
Sanae: "That's right, I was born and raised in the outside world. I was a student back then..."
She pauses briefly, reliving some of her past moments.
Sanae: "But one day, I was chosen to be the priestess and youkai exterminator of the Moriya shrine. It was something unexpected, even for me. I just fulfill my role with the greatest effort possible, following Kanako-sama's orders."
Gohan continues to listen attentively, curious about the story of how Sanae became the priestess of Moriya.
Gohan: "I see... it must have been a great shock for you, being chosen for such an important role and different from what you expected for your life."
Sanae nods.
Sanae: "Yes, it was. At first, I was a little confused and uncertain about becoming a shrine maiden, especially one who must deal with youkai. But Kanako-sama and Suwako-sama guided me and gave me all the support I needed. Over time, I began to get used to the role and accept it as a part of my life."
Gohan continued to listen, admiring Sanae's determination and adaptation to the unexpected situation.
Gohan: "I see. It seems like you had a lot of guidance and support from Kanako and Suwako. It must have been a difficult journey, especially considering that you had to put aside your old aspirations to take on this role."
"..."
Gohan can't help but see how similar he and Sanae are in this regard. They were both forced to be something they didn't want to be.
Sanae nods, acknowledging the difficulty of her journey.
Sanae: "Yes, it was difficult at first. I had to let go of my old dreams and plans and adjust to this new life. But with Kanako and Suwako-sama's guidance, and their support and leadership, I began to find my way. I found a new purpose and goal, which allows me to help those in need and protect the shrine."
Gohan continues to listen with interest.
Gohan: "It's good that you've found a new purpose and goal. Protecting and helping others is an important responsibility. I believe that you've been able to grow a lot as a person, not only in strength, but as an individual, since becoming a priestess of Moriya."
Sanae smiles slightly, looking proud of herself.
Sanae: "Yes, that's true. I've grown a lot since becoming a priestess. I've become stronger, not just physically, but emotionally as well. I've matured a lot and become more responsible. I'm proud to say that I can handle Youkai with relative ease now."
Gohan nods, noticing the confidence and pride in Sanae's voice.
Gohan: "Your progress is admirable. You must have faced many challenges and become more confident and capable in your tasks. It's good to see that you've managed to handle the responsibilities of your position as priestess of Moriya. I'm sure Kanako and Suwako-sama are very proud of you."
Sanae nods, looking very grateful for Gohan's words.
Sanae: "Yes, they are. Kanako-sama and Suwako-sama are my guides and mentors. I do my best to honor them and fulfill my role as a priestess. I can say that I have been growing and developing as an individual with their guidance."
Gohan responds with a nod of respect.
Gohan: "You seem very loyal and dedicated to Kanako and Suwako. It's important to have trustworthy mentors and guides who help us grow and develop our powers and abilities. They are lucky to have someone as loyal and hard-working as you, Sanae."
Sanae nods, thanking them for their respect. She seems proud of her connection with the two deities.
Sanae: "Yes, I am very grateful to Kanako and Suwako-sama. I do my best to develop and become stronger to honor them and fulfill my responsibility. What about you, Gohan? Do you have any teachers or mentors in your life?"
Gohan answers softly, as he thinks for a moment.
Gohan: "Well, I did. I had several mentors in my life. First, my father, Son Goku. He trained me a lot when I was a child and helped me become stronger. Then, when I grew up, I had two teachers, who taught me a lot in terms of strategy and combat. I also had a mentor, known as Piccolo, who helped me develop and surpass my limits."
Sanae listens curiously as Gohan mentions the different teachers and mentors he has had in his life.
Sanae: "Ah, I see. You had several teachers and mentors who helped you develop and become stronger. That's admirable. Your father, Son Goku, and your teachers taught you a lot. You must have grown a lot as an individual with these influences in your life."
Gohan nods in agreement.
Gohan: "Yes, I have had a lot of support and help on my journey. Each of these masters and teachers has contributed to my growth both physically and mentally. Thanks to them, I have been able to become stronger and learn to use my powers more effectively. In addition, they have also taught me valuable life lessons, such as perseverance, courage, and determination."
Sanae listens attentively and respectfully as Gohan talks about the teachings and influences of his past masters.
Sanae: "I see. You have had the support and influence of experienced and wise masters. Not only have they helped you become stronger and more efficient in using your powers, but they have also taught you valuable life lessons, such as perseverance, courage, and determination. It seems that you have truly benefited from these relationships and gained a lot from their experiences."
he smiles softly.
"Yes, I will make them proud, so I will always remember their memories fondly."
Sanae nods, admiring Gohan's dedication to the memory of his masters.
Sanae: "It's admirable to see how you cherish your masters and their memories of you. It's important to keep those memories alive in your heart. I'm sure they'll be proud of your progress and that you can continue to honor their teachings."
Gohan nods in response.
Gohan: "Yes, they will always have a special place in my heart. They were very important in my life, not only for the lessons they taught me in terms of power and strategy, but also for the valuable life lessons they taught me. I will always remember them and the sacrifices they made to help me improve. They showed me how important it is to persist and never give up, even in the face of seemingly impossible challenges."
Sanae nods, deeply inspired by Gohan's words.
Sanae: "That's right, that's very inspiring. Persistence and never giving up even in the face of seemingly impossible challenges. These life lessons are crucial to our personal growth. I agree that cherishing these memories and honoring them is extremely important. I truly admire your dedication to your past teachers."
Gohan is silent for a while, reflecting and enjoying Sanae's company.
"Yeah, since I arrived in Gensokyo I've also been receiving a lot of help, especially from the people at the Scarlet Devil Mansion"
Sanae listens attentively as Gohan reflects on the help he's received since arriving in Gensokyo.
Sanae: "I see, you mentioned that you've received a lot of help since arriving in Gensokyo. Especially from the people at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. They must have been very welcoming and helpful to you."
Gohan nods.
Gohan: "Yes, the people at the Scarlet Devil Mansion have been very welcoming and helpful to me. They welcomed me into their shelter with open arms and have been very friendly and welcoming to me. They have also been very helpful in providing me with a safe place to stay and helping me adapt to this strange world of youkai."
Sanae nods, looking relieved. It seems that Gohan is receiving some important support in this new environment.
Sanae: "I'm very happy to hear that you've been receiving so much help in Gensokyo. It's important to have a safe place to stay and to have welcoming and friendly people around you, especially in a world like this, full of youkai. It's good to know that the Scarlet Devil Mansion is being a source of support for you."
Gohan responds with a nod of gratitude.
Gohan: "Yes, I really appreciate this support. The Scarlet Devil Mansion has been very important to me since I arrived here. Not only have they provided me with a safe place to stay, but they have also been an important source of information about Gensokyo and its youkai. And I have developed good friendships with some of the residents of the Mansion."
Gohan falls silent for a while.
"Well, there's one thing I haven't adapted to very well..." He scratches his head lightly.
Sanae seems intrigued by Gohan's words.
Sanae: "Oh, really? Is there something you haven't adapted to in Gensokyo? You can talk to me, I'll listen and try to understand as best I can."
Gohan blushes slightly.
"... promise you won't laugh?"
Sanae responds with a friendly and understanding look.
Sanae: "Yes, I promise, I won't laugh. You can talk to me freely, without worrying about my judgment."
"...W-well, there are a lot of women here, which I find, Er...a little strange, since I'm kind of bad with women." He scratches his head, he's blushing slightly.
Sanae smiles softly, not mocking or judging Gohan.
Sanae: "Ahh, I see. It seems that the amount of women in Gensokylo is making you a little uncomfortable, since you consider yourself not very good with them. Don't worry, this is something common for many men."
Gohan nods, relieved that she isn't making fun of him.
Gohan: "Yeah, it seems like there are women everywhere here. It's different from where I come from, where interactions with women were more limited. It might be my lack of experience and confidence, but I feel a little awkward dealing with so many women in the mansion, especially the... pretty ones." He blushes a little, seeming to have said too much.
Sanae tries to hold back a giggle, but can't stop a small half-smile from forming on her lips.
Sanae: "Ahh, so that's it. You have a hard time dealing with beautiful women, especially in an environment like the mansion where there are lots of them, right?"
Gohan pouts.
"Er...I..I mean, there are beautiful women everywhere! You're one too!" he blurts out.
Sanae looks surprised by Gohan's unexpected statement, but quickly composes herself.
Sanae: "Oh, really? You think I'm pretty? Is that a compliment?"
Sanae tries to keep a casual tone, but seems slightly flattered by Gohan's statement.
Gohan immediately blushes, looking embarrassed for having spoken without thinking.
Gohan: "Ah, that... That wasn't... That wasn't meant. I mean, you're pretty, yes, but I didn't mean to say that so suddenly..."
He scratches his head, trying to find the right words.
Sanae nods, looking a little amused by Gohan's reaction.
Sanae: "Oh, okay, no problem. I understand, sometimes words can come out unintentionally. But you're really handsome for acknowledging how pretty I am," she jokes, trying to ease the tension in the conversation.
She stays silent, watching Gohan's red face.
Gohan remains red-faced and confused.
Gohan: "Well, I didn't mean to sound weird, it's just... you're really pretty... and there are a lot of women in the mansion who are too..."
He scratches his head again, trying to find words, but looking even more embarrassed.
"..."
"...you know what? I better keep quiet..." He laughs nervously.
Sanae chuckles softly, finding Gohan's reaction funny.
Sanae: "I understand, sometimes it's better to keep certain opinions to yourself, especially when it comes to female beauty. Don't worry, I won't judge you or make fun of you for it."
Gohan nods, grateful for Sanae's understanding.
Gohan: "Yes, I think you're right. I need to learn to control my tongue better... this isn't the first time I've spoken without thinking. I appreciate your understanding."
Sanae smiles.
Sanae: "You're welcome, I understand. Sometimes words come out when we don't mean to, but it's not that serious. The important thing is to apologize and learn from your mistakes. I believe you'll learn to control your tongue over time."
Gohan is silent for a moment.
"...Ah! There's also something else, do you know Sakuya Izayoi?"
Sanae nods.
Sanae: "Yes, I know Sakuya Izayoi. She's the maid at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Why do you ask?"
"Do you know what her power is?"
Sanae nods again.
Sanae: "Yes, I know what Sakuya's power is. It's called Time Manipulation. She has the power to stop time around her, and she can control and manipulate time according to her will."
"Yes, I mean... one thing I'm trying to understand is these absurd powers around here, I mean, I met a teacher in the human village with the ability to Erase history... literally"
Sanae seems a bit surprised by Gohan's words.
Sanae: "Oh yeah, these powers around here are really absurd. I've heard of this teacher with the ability to erase history. It seems like some people in Gensokyo have really incredible powers."
Gohan continues, looking worried.
Gohan: "Yes, that's true. It seems that this isn't the first time I've heard of such incredible powers. But not just powers to rewrite history. There's also the issue of reality and illusion, time and the absence of it... these seem like completely different rules than those in my world."
Sanae nods, understanding Gohan's concern.
Sanae: "Ah, yes, the rules of the world here in Gensokyo are really different. Here, reality can be manipulated and distorted in unimaginable ways. Even something like the passage of time can be controlled by certain entities. It seems like there are no rules or limits here... wait, where are you from? I thought you were from the outside world... but that doesn't seem to be the case."
Gohan hesitates for a moment before answering;
Gohan: "I'm not exactly from overseas... I came from a world called Earth, but it's a completely different world. With beings who call themselves humans. It's a peaceful place, without Youkai or powers to manipulate time or reality..."
He falls silent again, seemingly lost in thought.
Sanae speaks.
"The planet we are on is still Earth, the difference is that the outside world is separated from Gensokyo, sort of by a magical barrier that keeps everything magical inside it, like fairies, werewolves... among other creatures, but human society with buildings, banks, cars are all still in the outside world"
Gohan seems surprised by Sanae's explanation.
Gohan: "Ah, I see. So this is Earth, but there's a barrier that separates the magical side from the outside world. That explains why everything seems so different from what I'm used to."
Gohan is thoughtful.
Gohan: "What about the magic barrier, is that how it keeps them all separated? Can't youkai and magical creatures leave Gensokyo?"
Sanae nods.
Sanae: "Yes, the magic barrier is what keeps everyone separated. It acts as an impenetrable barrier that prevents magical creatures from leaving Gensokyo and the magical realm. Youkai and other magical creatures can't just leave here, and humans from the outside world can't enter so easily either."
Gohan seems surprised, but also grateful for the information.
Gohan: "Ah, that makes sense. So the barrier is like an invisible barrier, like a magical wall that keeps the worlds apart. That explains why I don't see any humans from the outside world around here."
Sanae smiles.
Sanae: "Yes, you got it right. The two worlds are kept separate by this magical barrier. The youkai and magical creatures are trapped here inside Gensokyo, while the humans remain in the outside world. The two worlds are like separate bubbles, and the barrier is what keeps them that way. It seems like a pretty efficient idea, don't you think?"
Gohan nods, looking thoughtful.
Gohan: "Yes, it seems like a pretty effective way to keep the two worlds separate. But how does this magical barrier work? Is there something that keeps it going, or is it just something natural? And is there any way for someone or something to break through this barrier and get through?"
Sanae hesitates for a moment.
Sanae: "The magical barrier is supported by a complex set of spells and rituals. It is maintained by the power of several powerful youkai and magical entities, which keep it active and strong. As for breaking this barrier...well, it is possible, but very difficult. There are certain powerful creatures that have the power to break through this barrier, but it is usually very difficult to break through completely."
Gohan absorbs the information.
Gohan: "Interesting. So it's a complex system that keeps the barrier active, and some powerful creatures have the ability to break through it, even if it's difficult. But who created this barrier? It seems like a complex and very powerful work."
Sanae looks thoughtful.
Sanae: "That's right, who exactly created this barrier is somewhat unknown. There are different stories and legends, but there is no established truth as to who or what created the barrier. But what is known is that the barrier has been maintained by various youkai and powerful entities over the years. It seems very ancient and mysterious."
she adds.
"but one of those responsible for monitoring it is Reimu Hakurei, a member of the Hakurei clan who has overseen the barrier for many years."
Gohan nods, registering the information.
Gohan: "Right, so the origin of the barrier is unknown, but it is maintained by a group of powerful youkai and magical entities. And Reimu Hakurei is one of those in charge of overseeing the barrier, and has been for many years. That seems like a complicated and ancient story."
He is silent for a moment, seemingly lost in thought.
sanae nods slightly.
"Yes, she is the other priestess besides me, but from what they say, the barrier was created by the sages of Gensokyo... who are unknown figures in Gensokyo."
Gohan looks puzzled.
Gohan: "Created by the sages of Gensokyo, you say? And who are these sages? They are unknown figures, but they created the magical barrier that separates the two worlds? It seems like something very mysterious..."
Sanae nods again.
Sanae: "Yes, the sages of Gensokyo are mysterious figures. Most people don't even know who or what they are, but they are considered very powerful due to having created the magical barrier that keeps the two worlds apart. Not much is known about them, except that they appeared in the distant past and created the barrier, and since then it has been maintained by youkai and other powerful entities."
Gohan absorbs this information.
Gohan: "I see... it seems like something very mysterious indeed. The sages appearing in the distant past, creating the barrier, and then disappearing. And the youkai and other powerful entities have been their successors in keeping the barrier functioning. It seems like a very ancient mystery..."
Sanae nods.
Sanae: "Yes, it's an ancient and mysterious story, isn't it? The sages appeared, created the barrier, and then disappeared. The youkai and other magical entities have been in charge of keeping it active and functioning ever since. It seems like something that happened an eternity ago..."
Gohan is thoughtful, absorbed in Sanae's words.
Gohan: "Yes, it seems like something that happened in another era. The sages and the creation of the barrier, you mean it's something that happened a long time ago..."
He falls silent again, seeming to absorb all this information.
Sanae seems to be watching Gohan thoughtfully.
Sanae: "Yes, it's something that happened a long time ago. It seems that the story of the barrier and the emergence of the sages is something that few know about, and what little is known is almost legend... But you seem very intrigued by all of this, Gohan."
Gohan nods, admitting.
Gohan: "Yeah, I'm really intrigued by this whole thing about the barrier and the sages. It seems like an important part of Gensokyo's history, and I wanted to understand it better. And like you said, it seems like something that happened a long time ago..."
He leans forward slightly, seeming even more interested in the story.
"Really? Then I recommend you go to the human village to find the Chronicler of Gensokyo, she is called Hieda no Akyuu. She is from a generation of chroniclers who have been reporting the history of Gensokyo for many years," Sanae says.
Gohan pays attention to Sanae's words, interested in the suggestion.
Gohan: "The human village... and the Chronicler of Gensokyo, Hieda no Akyuu, you say? She's been in charge of reporting the history of Gensokyo for many years now? It seems like she could be a good source of information about the history of the barrier and the sages."
Sanae nods.
Sanae: "Yes, she is the Chronicler of Gensokyo. If anyone can provide information about the history of the barrier and the sages, it is she. She has dedicated her life to recording the history of Gensokyo for many years. I am sure she would be able to provide you with very valuable information."
Gohan seems impressed by the information.
Gohan: "That sounds amazing. Someone who has dedicated her life to the history of Gensokyo for many years, and who could provide a lot of important information about the history of the barrier and the sages. It seems worth visiting."
After saying goodbye to Sanae, Gohan heads towards the human village again, only now with the intention of finding the so-called Hieda no Akyuu.

Gohan's presence in Gensokyo did not go unnoticed. His journey across the land, helping those in need, earned him a certain degree of reputation. Many youkai and humans crossed paths with him, observing his strength, kindness, and the mysterious nature that seemed to surround him.
The residents of Gensokyo, always curious about newcomers, whispered and muttered among themselves about the young man.
Rumors started to circulate among the youkai and humans, theories and speculations about Gohan's origin and abilities. Some described him as a powerful mage, others as a warrior of another world. The more imaginative ones even speculated he was an envoy from the heavens, tasked with testing the resilience of Gensokyo's inhabitants.
Reimu Hakurei, the shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, known for her role in resolving incidents, had caught wind of these rumors. She was always on the lookout for information, particularly about individuals with unusual powers who could potentially upset the balance of Gensokyo, whether for good or for ill.
Word of Gohan's exploits had reached Reimu, and she had started discreetly gathering information about him. For now, she observed from a distance, curious about the newcomer's nature and intentions. Until there was a need to intervene, Reimu decided to leave Gohan be, but she continued to keep an eye on him through her extensive network of informants.
As Reimu continued to gather information about Gohan, his physical attributes and fighting prowess became known to her. The reports consistently mentioned his impressive strength, the disciplined physique he carried, and his proficiency in martial arts.
The most striking feature, though, was the scar on his right eye. It gave Gohan a distinct and somewhat mysterious aura, as if he had endured battles before.
Reimu noted these details, along with the rumors about his energy blasts and flying abilities. It added to the enigma surrounding him.
The reports also emphasized Gohan's speed and raw strength. Some claimed he moved so fast that he could appear and disappear in a blink, leaving an afterimage in his wake. Others asserted his punches could level mountains, his body as strong as steel.
Reimu found these reports a bit exaggerated, yet they couldn't be dismissed entirely. Gensokyo was a realm where the impossible often became possible, and the feats of its inhabitants defied logic. Yet, she needed to see evidence and gauge Gohan's true abilities for herself.
Reimu, however, realized it wasn't just his physical prowess that made Gohan intriguing. It was his nature and demeanor.
Gohan was known to be kind, helpful, and always willing to aid those in need. This contrast between his power and his benevolence was what puzzled Reimu the most. It was uncommon for individuals with such formidable strength to be so compassionate.
Reimu's ears perked up as the reports confirmed Gohan's human nature.
"A human... with such strength and powers?"she thought, her curiosity growing.
Humans were generally the weakest creatures in Gensokyo. They were bound by mortality, susceptible to magic and yokai influence, and lacked the innate abilities of supernatural beings. Yet, here was Gohan—a human who possessed powers and capabilities far exceeding typical human capabilities.
Reimu found this fact strange and intriguing. How could a human like Gohan exist? What was the source of his power? Reimu's mind was filled with questions about this human who defied the laws of the natural order in Gensokyo.
As she pondered these questions, Reimu made a mental note to gather more information about Gohan's origins. Perhaps there was something in his history or background that could explain his exceptional abilities. Until then, she would continue to observe his actions and interactions with the residents of Gensokyo, waiting for an opportunity to confront him and learn more.

/How did Gohan come to Gensokyo?/
...
...
Gohan wakes up in a white room, He is confused, he had been killed by the androids... but somehow he is in this all white room.
In front of him is a man...with a beer?
Gohan's eyes widen in surprise as he examines the room and the man, his confusion was evident. He cautiously looked at the man, trying to understand where he was and why he was there.
"Who... who are you? And where am I? I remember fighting the Androids... did I-"
ZUN glanced over at Gohan, taking a sip from his tankard of beer. His expression was as calm and relaxed as ever, and he slowly lowered the tankard back down.
"Ah, another one who's ended up in the wrong place. Welcome to my humble abode in Gensokyo."
ZUN takes another sip from his beer, casually leaning back in his chair.
"Do you mean my real name or my pen name? I use the pen name ZUN. My real name is Jun'ya Oota"
Gohan's confusion only seemed to deepen as he heard the man's words. The mention of 'Gensokyo' left him utterly perplexed as he continued to look around the room. He had never heard of such a place before.
"Gensokyo? I've never heard of it. And what do you mean 'another one who's ended up in the wrong place'?"
Gohan questioned, his voice carrying a mix of caution and curiosity.
ZUN chuckled softly, the corners of his lips curling upwards into a slight smirk. He took another sip from his tankard before responding.
"Ah, you're in for quite the surprise. Gensokyo is a strange and wonderful world, where mythical creatures and powerful entities coexist with humans. As for you being the 'another one,' well, people often find themselves here when they least expect it, sometimes by mistake, sometimes by chance."
He leaned back in his chair once more, the wooden legs creaking beneath him as he continued to examine Gohan with a hint of intrigue.
"And you, my friend, you seem rather...out of place. You're not from here, are you?"
Gohan's eyes narrowed, the mention of mythical creatures and powerful entities catching his attention. His mind was still processing the fact that he was in an unknown world, and that he was currently talking to a man with a beer.
"That's putting it...lightly," Gohan replied, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "No, I'm not from here. I'm from a different world altogether. I was... fighting some terrible enemies back home, and somehow, I ended up here."
ZUN nodded understandingly, his gaze fixated on Gohan. There was a sense of curiosity and interest in his eyes as he listened to Gohan's explanation. He took another sip from his tankard before responding.
"Fascinating. So, you're a fighter, then? You were in a battle back in your world before ending up here?"
Gohan nodded, his expression hardening at the memory of the battle against the Androids. A mix of anger, grief, and determination flashed across his features.
"Yes, I was. I was fighting against the Androids, two unstoppable killing machines... and I lost."
He paused for a moment, the pain of his defeat still fresh in his mind.
"How did I end up here, though? It doesn't make any sense."
"...Actually, you were saved by me" says Zun.
Gohan turns to look at Zun, surprise etched on his face. Saved? By this man?.
"What do you mean I was saved by you?" he asked, skepticism in his voice.
Zun smiles faintly at Gohan's reaction.
"You see, Gensokyo is a place that exists outside of the conventional flow of reality. People sometimes end up here by accident, due to a series of unique circumstances or due to the intervention of supernatural forces."
He takes another sip from the tankard and places it on the table.
"And you... well, let's just say that I was the one who pulled you out of the path leading to the afterlife and brought you here."
Gohan's surprise morphs into a look of confusion and disbelief as he listens to Zun's explanation.
"Wait, you... you mean you prevented me from going to the afterlife?"
He paused for a moment, trying to process this newfound information. This man, sitting casually with a beer, claimed that he had altered the course of Gohan's fate.
Zun nods, his tone matter-of-fact.
"Indeed. In Gensokyo, I have certain powers that allow me to intervene in events and fates, including yours. When I sensed that you were facing a deadly encounter, I stepped in and brought you here, away from the jaws of death."
He leans back in his chair, taking another sip from his tankard.
Gohan's expression turns to a mix of surprise, awe, and mild disbelief. This man, Zun, seemed to possess powers that could alter fate itself. To think that this stranger had the power to intervene and save him from death was hard to comprehend.
"I... I see," Gohan responds, still trying to process the information. "So, you brought me here, to Gensokyo, to save me from death? Why?"
Zun chuckles softly, a smile playing on his lips.
"Oh, you could say I have a habit of rescuing individuals who find themselves in precarious situations. Plus, it's not every day I come across a fighter like you. Your energy and strength are quite remarkable. I thought you might find a new challenge here in Gensokyo, a place filled with its own unique set of challenges."
He takes another sip from his drink, his gaze never leaving Gohan's face.
Gohan's eyes widen slightly at Zun's words. So, Zun saved him because he saw potential in him and thought Gensokyo would provide a new challenge? The idea both intrigued and worried him.
"A new challenge, huh? And what kind of challenges do you mean exactly?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity and caution.
Zun smiles knowingly.
"Well, Gensokyo is a place where reality and fantasy intersect. It's a world where mythical creatures, youkai, and supernatural beings coexist with humans. As a fighter, you'll likely encounter many of these beings, some friendly, some hostile. There are also various factions and groups with their own agendas, and you may find yourself drawn into their conflicts."
He leans on his elbows, his expression becoming slightly more serious.
"It's not for the faint of heart, I'll tell you that much. But I have a feeling you'll do just fine."
Gohan's expression becomes more focused as Zun speaks of the challenges and creatures that dwell in Gensokyo. It seemed as if this world would require more than just physical strength and power.
"I see," Gohan replies, his voice determined. "So, I'll have to deal with mythical creatures, youkai, and supernatural conflicts. It sounds like a tough place to survive."
He paused for a moment, his mind racing with questions and strategies.
"What exactly are these youkai? And these factions you mentioned?"
Zun laughs lightly.
"you'll find out soon Gohan, we don't want to give spoilers to the readers, do we? Fanfics where characters from Dragon Ball and Touhou come together are very rare" jokes Zun.
Gohan is taken aback by Zun's sudden comment, his confusion growing. "Readers? What is he talking about?" he thinks to himself.
He looks at Zun with a puzzled expression, not understanding his comment.
"What do you mean 'readers'? And what is this... Touhou you mentioned?" Gohan asks, now even more perplexed than before.
Zun chuckles again, clearly amused by Gohan's perplexity.
"Ah, I suppose it's only fair to explain this to you. You see, Gohan, we are currently part of a story being written by someone. This story is shared with an audience called 'readers' who enjoy our adventures. The world we are in is called Touhou, and it revolves around mythical creatures, supernatural occurrences, and various factions battling for power and influence."
He pauses briefly before continuing.
"and the Fanfic writer thought it would be interesting to use you as the protagonist, cool isn't it?"
Gohan's eyes widen as he processes this new information. So, his current situation was all part of a story being written for other people's enjoyment? He felt somewhat annoyed that he was a protagonist in someone's fictional work, but he couldn't deny that he was still curious.
"So, you're saying that all of this, me being here and everything that happens next, is just for someone else's entertainment?"
Zun nods, his demeanor unbothered.
"In a nutshell, yes. You're part of a story, a fanfiction, to be precise. The writer chose to include you as the protagonist, possibly because they saw an interesting potential in your character. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll fit right in here in Gensokyo."
Zun then speaks.
"You're going to be sent to Gensokyo, but you're going to forget you had this conversation with me... anyway, have fun" he says taking a beer.
Gohan's eyes widened at Zun's words, a look of confusion and worry crossing his face.
"Wait, what do you mean I'm going to forget this conversation? And what do you mean I'm being sent to Gensokyo?"
He paused for a moment, trying to make sense of Zun's ominous statement.
"Don't worry Gohan-kun, the Author just wanted a way to explain his appearance in Gensokyo, so he opted for this, but anyway... Bye!" he says snapping his finger sending Gohan to Gensokyo and forgetting this conversation.
Gohan's vision suddenly blurs and he feels a tingling sensation throughout his body. The room disappears, and he finds himself standing in a new, foreign environment. He blinks a few times, adjusting to his surroundings.
As he gains his bearings, Gohan notices that his memory of the conversation he had with Zun fades rapidly, leaving behind only a faint impression of the experience. He scratches his head, feeling puzzled and disoriented.
"What just happened?"
Gohan looks around, taking in the unfamiliar sights and sounds. He is suddenly struck by the realization that he can no longer remember why he is there or how he ended up in this place. The vague memory of speaking with Zun lingers in the back of his mind, but the details slip through his grasp like sand.
He shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts. "Focus," he thinks to himself, knowing he needs to figure out his current situation.
//
Hello everyone, how are you?
This is my first fanfic, I admit that I did it to improve my story skills a little, anyway, I put Gohan in Gensokyo, more specifically Gohan from the future.
I recently discovered and really liked this franchise and decided to make this fanfic.
I was really struck by the lack of Touhou and Dragon Ball FanFiction.
Hell, both franchises are almost the same thing, the difference is that Dragon Ball is just more for young mans/Man.
Anyway, if my writing bothers, You reader can alert me about the writing style or grammatical errors.
