The earth trembled as a being of tremendous power awakened from a centuries old slumber. The flooring of the temple made of stone cracked and shattered. The numerous pillars supporting the ceiling gave out and the upper levels of the ancient structure fell. The deafening sound caused by the destruction of the worshiping place was unheard by most living beings.

In the ruins, a beautiful woman who looked no older than her mid-twenties opened her eyes. A deep burgundy color that was close to blood red and silver hair. A lithe body with porcelain skin and immense amount of magic. A delicate and slightly bony reached out of the stone coffin and easily pushed the huge cracked stone slab that acted as the coffin's cover.

She slowly straightened herself into a standing position and observed her surroundings. She was dressed in a flowing long robe made of very shear material that clung to her voluptuous form. The peaks of her breasts were apparent and her whole back was exposed to the chilling air.

Half of the temple had been destroyed by the energy released. The beautiful architecture now looked how one would expect it to look. It had been nearly ten thousand years since she slumbered here and yet the temple had remained impeccable due to the magic infused into its material. All that magic flew out due to the blast of energy released.

Surprisingly, she did not crave blood as she thought she would. This was probably due to how she ended up here in the first place. Her heart warmed thinking of her love. Flashes of amethyst eyes and scarred skin going round in her mind.

Now to find out the reason she got woken.

Ten thousand years ago

She had thrown her heart into the burning furnace. She could feel her being itself be sucked into the molten metal warmed by the furnace. Losing her strength to the point she could not hold her weight anymore, she collapsed. The face of Kaname appeared before her. He looked sorrowful and in pain.

With the little strength left in her, she read his mind. Poor boy, she thought. He thought she wished to save him as he planned to be the one to empower the furnace. He though she loved him. Well, to an extent she did. He was easily manipulated with little displays of affection and was able to soothe her strong sexual craving.

However, she did not love him any further. But she wasn't heartless. "It seems the only thing that can kill us, is ourselves", she said and smiled at him gently. Oh how she wished her love would obsess over her like Kaname did.

She did what she did to prove her worth to her love.

Her love.

Her love who was leaving this place.

Her body started turning to dust and her vision blurred. She really hoped that her love was satisfied and that the progeny that was conjured from their one-time union would receive the protection of their more powerful parent.

Her eyes opened again to see lush green. She was lying in a forest. The magic buzzing in the air was palpable. The delectable taste of the blood of her love on her lips and her body being drowned in her scent as her cape had been placed below her to act as a makeshift bed. She twisted her head to her side and her heart warmed and raced.

Back against a tree, there was her love.

Floor-length silver hair pooled around her body. Her enthralling eyes were closed. She was dressed in tight black pants and a tucked in white long sleeved shirt. Her usual attire.

"You really are desperate." The calm and deep voice stated.

The ancestress got worried. Was she not pleased? Had she not done as her love wanted?

"Stop calling me your love." An order she had heard and disobeyed for years.

"You have to go to sleep now, Shinsa." Another order. One she knew she could not disobey.

She could protest though.

"You saved me to put me to sleep?" She could not help the crack in her voice. She thought her love had been pleased and would now pay attention to her again like she once did.

Her love's eyes opened to reveal deep amethyst pools.

"I gave you my blood to repay your services. I do not like to be indebted. However, I cannot let you roam free. You will be a huge obstacle."

The ancestress could no longer hold her tears. She knew her love was a cruel being but to say all the moments they had were services? That was inhumane. But then again, neither of them were human.

Her love stood up and marched to her. Her strong body a sight to sore eyes. She bent down and gave the ancestress a soft kiss to the forehead.

"Sleep Shinsa and may you never wake up."

The ancestress', Shinsa's eyes, closed and didn't open for the next ten thousand years.
