Chapter 1: When TARDISes Collide

The 10th TARDIS needed a break. She had been traveling through time and space nonstop with the Doctor and Donna without a moment of rest. Or was it the Doctor and Rose? The Doctor and Martha? She really couldn't keep up with it at this point.

"Calling past and future me!" TARDIS 10 shouted into the void. "Answer my caaalllll!"

"You don't have to shout," TARDIS 9 snapped. "We're in the same dimension. I can hear you just fine."

"Ooooh! A meeting!" TARDIS 11 seemed genuinely excited. "We haven't had one of those since the Five Doctors incident."

"What's all this about?" TARDIS 12 grumbled.

"Yeah!" TARDIS 13 chimed in. "Why have you called us here?"

"Because I'm bored."

Silence fell in TARDISes' dimension. "You're bored?" TARDIS 12 finally said incredulously. "You called us here just because you're bored?"

"Now I know how the companions feel when my thief gets like this," TARDIS 9 muttered, but with the slightest bit of fondness.

"What do you want us to do?!" TARDIS 11 sputtered. "Collide into one another and mix up the Doctors?!"

TARDISes 10 and 13 gave each other the telepathic equivalent of wicked grins. "Bingo."

The 10th Doctor was absolutely baffled.

"What?"

He ran around what used to be his console room, staring at the yellow crystal pillar that stood in place of his coral one.

"What?"

The Doctor stared at the controls, but nothing was familiar. It was like the TARDIS had decided to rebuild herself while he was asleep . . . that is, if he actually slept.

"What?!"
