To say that the Order was uncomfortable would be an understatement. Waking up in an unknown location had not been their first vacation option, but what would they do? Complain? Not a chance. Not when the being who brought them here was Death himself.
"What do you mean we'll see someone's future? That should be impossible," Hermione states. No one chastises her for questioning such a being. They understand that she is in shock and maybe her question would help them get more information from him.
Death didn't seem too upset by the girl's question, on the contrary, he seemed to enjoy the mere fact she was asking him. "Quite simply, I cannot pull this off by myself." Death, who was cloaked in darkness and the closer he got to any of them the more it felt like all light and happiness left them. Or, at least it felt like it. "While I am the one who brought you all here and set everything up, Father Time is the one who has stopped time outside of this realm. He is allowing us to view the future after the war because it is quite interesting."
That got everyone's attention. The knowledge that not only was Death real, but so was Father Time. Who was next? Mother Nature, Lady Magic, The Fates? Yeah, none of them were going to ask. They believed that if they asked they would get as an answer would be a simple yes or no. Maybe they'd only get a conspiratory smile filled with grotesque, rotting teeth.
The only thing the group could do was take their seats and wait for Death to complete his work. A glance around showed them a table filled with snacks and a fridge that most likely held many types of drinks. At least they knew that no matter how long they were forced to be here they would still have sustenance. Upon further looking they notice a hallway.
Death turns around to face them, seeing they are looking at the hallway he speaks up, "That hallway contains a bedroom for everyone with bathrooms in all of them. Time might be stopped outside this realm, everything else besides aging continues forward in here."
Harry was wondering how Mad-Eye wasn't ranting and raving over not being able to do his job; even though he no longer works as an Auror. Then again, with the knowledge that no time will pass once they get back might have had a hand in it. "Whose future are we watching, exactly?"
When Death turned to face him he felt a chill run up his spine. "Unfortunately, I am not at risk to tell you, however," he cuts off Molly who was about to speak. "You will easily see once we begin."
That was enough for them to calm down. There was nothing else they could do. It wasn't as if they could duel their way out of here. This was Death they were talking about, nothing they could do would make a scratch on the being. And wasn't that terrifying? That they were so weak to one being, that this being could kill them with a single thought and they were powerless to do anything about it. Now that was something that made their blood run cold through their veins.
All they know is that this was what they were going to be doing for a while instead of fighting against the Death Eaters. Molly wasn't as upset with this as that would mean her children weren't being thrown to the wolves, while her children had a mixed reaction. Some were excited to see something from the future or take a break from the chaos. The other half was frustrated for one reason or another.
Moody was grumbling but even he had to admit, he was intrigued. He also would like a break from hunting Death Eaters even though he'd never admit such a scandalous thing out loud.
Severus was sitting near the very back of the room, not wanting to interact with anyone here due to the possibility of them attacking even with Death telling them that he wasn't where they believed he was. So, it was a surprise to him when Minerva sat next to him with two bottles of some brown, fizzy drinks and a couple of chocolate bars. She gives him a small smile, handing a bottle and bar to him. That was enough to allow him to relax around her. He knew she wasn't one to stab someone in the back, so he believed he was fine. He was comfortable, but he wasn't going to let his guard down just yet. Not when everyone else could be biding their time before they strike like the snake they always accused him of being.
He was about to say thank you to his coworker before the screen lit up to life.
Let the chaos begin. Severus sighs, getting ready for whatever trouble will be caused by this experience.
