36. Chapter 36

Reaper of Rome chapter 36- campers vs zombies and emperors

this chapter will cover tyrant's tomb story

with Ichigo doing this stuff to aid in the battle

and the chapter of sword dragon will close out the tyrant's tomb arc \

and set up the stages for all the characters connected

Ichigo pov

I knew what I had to do but I wasn't happy doing it, but I had to wait until Apollo and Meg crossed the little Tiber before I could make my next move. While I waited, I picked up a copy of Tarzan from the bookstore and saw the cyclops getting parts of the book of prophecy burned into his body. the harpy said to me "the slayers that bring things out are the key to getting your powers back that's the most I can figure out. I think the maiden of puzzles is the next key to learning how." After that I got a call from my Patron goddess saying picked up a copy of Tarzan and have those two make sure the order of books is picked up after the battle. also don't pick up your copies of that novel series about the boy that has goddesses fawning over him until after you show Apollo and Meg around the city. then make sure to get magic copy paper and wait for the right song," I then did as she said and as I went around, I saw Apollo arrive with the dancing demigod.

As they did Apollo broke into song and in said song detailed his adventures, as I pulled out the paper to record the words of the song, I discovered it had already started to save the words and I the worried I might even have to sing said words myself. But as he finished the god in the teenage body passed out as all of us learned he was scratched by one of the zombie monsters that sieged the city only a few days ago. With that we knew to keep him in the room above the coffee shop for easy access to the ingredients to keep the infection under control.

It was after we got him stable, Hecate called telling me to take Meg to her childhood home tomorrow and have the tree spirits allow me to us the grounds for the grand summoning. I had a vague idea about the grand servant Hecate wanted me to summon but wasn't completely sure. But Dantes then spoke to me in shadow and said to me "even if you summon a servant, they might not be exactly what you think." With that I made sure to leave Chad with Apollo when I took Meg and prepared to see her place.

Apollo pov

It was what seemed like hours later, I woke up to the sounds of an acoustic guitar playing what sounded like Mexican music and looked up to see large Hispanic man that said to me, "you're up." I then asked the man "who are you and where's Meg?" he replied "my name is Sado, and I am Renya's little brother. Ichigo asked me to watch you while he took Meg on a trip." I looked what had to be teenage boy over and said under my breath "there's nothing little about you." Then I asked, "why did Ichigo need Meg?" Sado replied "Ichigo needed to get to the newly refiled Ley lines and needed to bring Meg with him to talk the tree ladies into letting him use the grounds." I then asked, "how will Ichigo cross so much ground without monsters attacking him?" Sado then said to me "if you want to you can call me Chad and the car moves super-fast and monsters in general don't really like how Ichigo smells, I think either his hollow or soul reaper spirit cancels out his demigod scent to monsters." Hearing about ley lines, I knew Ichigo was doing some kind of magic spell but what kind I had no idea. When I asked Chad, he didn't know either just Ichigo had been driving a lot.

Ichigo pov

Meg was more than eager to drive to see all the dryads, and, on the way, she mentioned an oracle that did prophecies in the form of crossword puzzles. She also asked, "how the car went so fast?", and I just told the girl "Its math that would make you go crazy trying to fully understand it." then she asked, "if you are Japanese why is your hair blond?" I replied "I have two moms, Diana and my human mother Misaki, I don't know much about her family, but I think her mother might have been from somewhere in Europe. One of my sisters has hair the same color as mine but she only shares the human mom with me. It wasn't long after that we arrived, and with Meg's help the dryads let me in and I said to Meg "you have two choices, either you can watch and get to know the spoiler for later but can't tell anyone else or you can stay in the car and play Chappy crusader on my soul phone." The girl replied to me "I would rather not know the spoiler and what's Chappy crusader?" I replied, "it's a game my fiancé put on the phone without telling me." she said "okay, I will try and play that."

After that I did the rest of the set up while the dryads and the oracle watched on and then one asked "what exactly are you doing?" I replied "I am going to summon a grand servant; a hero that's deeds were so great that the will of humanity choose them to help bring down its greatest enemies. I then finished the grand summoning array and put the other two summoning materials into the center of the circle while I switched between chanting the spell and singing the song then as I finished in the center of the circle, appeared Jason and I was happy to see my friend and nearly went in for a hug but before doing that asked "do you recognize who I am and how old were you when you died?" he replied "I am Jason Grace with elements of the divine spirit Ptolemaeus and the phantom spirit Tarzan, and I died in life at age seventy in my wife's hand. I do not know who you are master." I then said it's what I expected, now put these on and read yourself two emperors and the king of the undead are at the west." I then handed him a coat and a commercial cow mask and said, "don't take either off or talk until I give the order." With that he yes and walked with me to Meg and when she saw the masked Jason, the girl laughed and said, "what is this guy and why is he wearing such a silly mask?" I replied, "he is a powerful hero from another era and the mask will conceal who he is." it was then the three of us went back to camp as Meg asked me "why is Renya's brother so much bigger than her?" I replied to bigger father and grandfather."

The rest of the ride was mostly quiet while Meg tried to master the Chappy game but as we got back to camp, Meg's game was interrupted as I got a phone call from Owen asking "what's a good place you can exchange the pod full of relics for the folder? I replied "the target should work. Meet me in the parking lot." He then said, "I will meet you there tomorrow morning."

I had nearly forgotten that the POD was delivered or that my teammates filled it up for me. I soon found Jolyne to ask about the storage unit and she said to me "the stuff was weird but not as different from the monsters we faced on the race. what are you trading it all for?" I replied, "reinforcements for the coming battle or more information to trade to get help." she replied "with what we have face, I hope it helps. Where are you going to do the trade and where do you have to go to help the help." I replied to the trade will be in a target parking lot and the help will come from the land of our fathers and there I hope to get the help of devils." She replied "I hope you can make it back in time cause we need all the help we can get."

With that I put the tow-hitch on the pod and started the drive to target. I arrived to see a helicopter and a man in a business suit, he then looked into the POD to and said "this should be more than enough and if you can prove your worth and win this battle mister Xanatos will provide his full support in the battle again Nero. After that. I looked over the folder and he set up the magical seal on the documents within.

The next thing I had to do was call Urahara and when I did and told him I would need to take the car through the gate he said, "no problem, I set up a backup gate between my shop and your new house you can drive your van through it and out of my truck entrance." After arriving in Japan, the soul reaper turned shop owner asked me "where are you going exactly?" I replied, "Fuyuki to deal with my brother and his devil master." Urahara just said to me "have fun." With that I began the drive to Fuyuki and wondered what I would say to the brother I never knew I had.

Shirou pov

It was Saturday and I had just got off from school, when I heard my front doorbell ring and was soon met by a boy that looked very similar to me. I started by asking him "who are you and how can I help you?" he replied with "my name is Ichigo Kurosaki, and you are my older brother. Can I come in and talk about our goddess mother?" I said to him "yes, and I am guessing a family reunion isn't the only reason for your visit. Come in so we can discuss things." I then shouted out "Hakufu bring some drinks and snacks into the living room we have a guest."

After that, in brought my brother and he said "our mom is Artemis or Diana the Greek/ roman moon goddess. She is a virgin but the whole being a virgin and having kids' paradox doesn't apply when gods are involved. As for why I came, I need your help to save my city from an army of zombies and former roman emperors that have claimed a level of divinity that makes them minor gods." I replied, "I will help but to get the rest of my peerage to help I will need to talk to my king." With that I called out to her, and after filling her in to the situation, my wife said, "I won't help for free what can you offer to get mine and my peerage to aid you."

He replied with "this folder contains a list of possible peerage members for you to recruit as well as the identity of Shirou's father and other family members besides our mother." With that and knowing all the rest of the info would help improve my blade works Ravel said to Ichigo you have a deal, and he said, "the folder will be on my person and protected to not be openable until all the enemies of New Rome are defeated." After that a phone rang in ichigo's pocket and I heard a female voice said "you should be able to teleport directly into the city, but the catch is there will be time lag to get there. With my help you should arrive as the battle is going down. the problem slowing things down is that damned Ptolemaic god its messing with all the magic in the states and getting worse as things go."

With hearing that Ichigo was starting to look worried, and with that he said "everybody gets into my van and don't worry about they strange man in the cow mask. He's the grand lancer." With that, I said to me "did you say Grand Lancer? How and when did you summon him?" my brother replied "I used the magic from five different mages and there are several beasts of humanity about to wake up at any time. As for who he is, all I can say is in a different life he was my friend." It was before we teleported out, I got a text from Urahara saying "your mom wanted me to leave a gift at your house and Apollo is trying to summon her as well." With that we teleported and prepared to battle as soon as we arrived.

Apollo pov

As we cleared the tower and made it close to camp Reyna said "with the signal down it should start to open the magical airwaves and make it possible for Ichigo to teleport in. but as we got close to camp, traffic led to us crashing very close. Then her phone rang and a message from Ichigo said, "I should be there soon hold off the enemy until I do."

We then managed to make it to battlefield to see things in all kinds of chaos. But what was most amazing was the crazy things Ichigo's team was doing. I never knew the daughter of the goddess of sea monsters could make string from her body or a son of Venus that dive into the ground. Then seeing the daughter of Vulcan pilot, a robot wasn't too shocked. But I knew I had to make it to the shrine and do the god summoning to hope to help us in battle and heal my infection. On the way, I saw many campers die and was able to do nothing to help.

But I also saw a man a cow mask come to the battle and rain lightning down but couldn't tell who he was just that he seemed to know me. I wondered who this person was but had a guess who he was. but part of me knew he would be revealed in time.

But I made it just in time to do the summon but nothing seemed to happen. Then I had to go to Frank and try and help him as much as I could. But not long after I arrived at that area of the fight, I learned by we had so much traffic, it was causing Frank to rig the tunnel with fire-bombs. Then he lured the two emperors into the said tunnel and battled them until he did his final gambit, to light the bombs with his own life charcoal that seemed to take out both emperors and their monster armies. But took seemed to take Frank out with them.

It was as that part of the battle seemed done, a pentagram showed up on the ground and out of it came Ichigo's van. Then out of the van came out several school aged people along with a boy that looked like Ichigo only a little older. Then as that happened, a girl with short hair ran out and gave Ichigo a massive sword before dashing away again. Then the boy that looked like Ichigo and a girl with blond hair in curls started to give out order. they ordered the other students and a large man to move out. I heard Ichigo say, "look for the large Chinese guy and provide first aid." With that a large elf man came out and found Frank then did healing magic and forced a drink down his mouth, then he said "this boy will live he will just need to rest. Phoenix tears will take time to repair all the damage he took."

After that Commodus came out in a barely alive state but still alive. That's when Ichigo ran to him and said, "time to pay for moon breaker." His sword then expanded and glowed as it slashed through the emperor's neck and killed him to leave a skull in ichigo's hand as the blade broke into pieces. After that, one of the other blond girls in ichigo's group went to take out the cruise ships before the group launched their bombs, then seemed to pull a ship from her back but as it hit the water the firebombs destroyed their own ships.

Then Ichigo grabbed me and said, "this is my brother Shirou we have to get to the bookstore before its too late." With that he grabbed me and took me to the store, plowing into zombies and as we did. I saw Meg using unicorns to help to clear the way for us. We soon arrived in front of the zombie I couldn't find him and several super demigod zombies kept the brothers. But as all hope seemed lost, my sister arrived to save the day and killed the king before he could reach the Harpy. As the battle ended and hope seemed restored Ichigo shouted out, I am going to help my soul reaper powers back to help defeat Nero.

Chapter end

Chapter part of this story will be in sword dragon and cover the aftermath of this chapter along with a few other stories for shirou to follow

After that the two split up with Ichigo having to return to Japan to get his soul reaper powers back while Ravel's team has to deal with Yusuke being forced into the dark tournament while they are forced watch

After those stories are done both fics will go on break until may
