Soul Kingdom Faux Paradox: Mushroom Galaxy

After selecting the Mushroom Galaxy from the map of the Universe of Life, Roxas speaks, doing his best impression of Bentley. "The Mushroom Galaxy. Last I heard, Peach is going on a diplomatic mission to the Flower Kingdom involving a meeting with Prince Florian about their number one export. As usual, Mario is going to be there as her bodyguard. Luigi, we're probably not going to get a better shot at a Mario Bros. reunion for a while…"

Luigi responds with, "Flower Kingdom, here we come! Roxas, are you ready to do the honors?" "Hearts are all connected. Just like my Somebody once did to save Kairi, I can trace the connection between the Soul Princes to get us to the Mushroom Galaxy."

A recreation of the Super Mario Bros. Wonder intro plays, with Mario and friends being welcomed to the Flower Kingdom, with the Nobodies watching from afar. There's just one major difference… the Sin of True Darkness possessing Mario lunges out for and grabs the Wonder Flower. Aaron comments to the blue hedgehog (Siccon) as the scene devolves into chaos, "Look familiar?", a reference to Infinite's reality bending powers in Sonic Forces. Cut to gameplay as the Wonder Effects kick in, but this time bringing in objects from outside the Mushroom Galaxy. For example, the Emperor Nefarious statue from Rift Apart, which is used in a platforming section because of its size. It's a section similar to one of my personal favorite sections in any game, The End is Tri from Lego Dimensions Year 1, (it's the point in the story where all the Lego Dimensions are starting to merge together due to the game's villain, but it's taking a while to finish, so your Lego Dimensions party is in a race against time to save their friends.) Sorry if I got a little off topic there. After that platforming section, the Nobodies go into a chase sequence, with Luigi going after Mario in a way similar to when Ratchet was chasing Azimuth in a Crack in Time. References to The Super Mario Bros. Movie canon are made.

The Sin of True Darkness starts trying to escape. It bursts out of Mario's body and his eyes go wide as memories flood his mind.

Roxas says, "It's coming, team! Siccy, get Mario to the Phonix for rest! The rest of us will stall this thing!" Siccy nods and heads offscreen as a Zelda Ocarina of Time style boss intro says,

Sin of Wrath

The Sin battles are similar to the boss battles in Smash Bros single player modes mixed with the Squad Strike tag team mode in Smash Ultimate. Meaning, when a character is KO'd, you swap to another one of the Nobodies. Depending on if you are doing the Mushroom Galaxy's section of this arc first, second, et cetra, the difficulty will adjust accordingly.

The Sin is wounded but not destroyed. As it rises into the sky in defeat, Aaron wonders, "Where is it going?" Roxas responds with, "Soul Kingdom, probably. I would imagine it's getting ready to meet with the other Sins there once we wound them." Drayke responds with, "We'll deal with that later."

Luigi thinks as he senses that Mario made it,

"Welcome to our home away from home, big bro."
