Lilith then handed me a few grenades.

"What are these for?" I said

"Pandora can be dangerous; having a grenade mod on you wouldn't hurt."

"Well, I'm not going to complain about getting explosive."

As I put the grenade into my echo device, I heard loud screaming in the distance.

"Hey guys, do you hear bloodthirsty screaming?" said Claptrap

"I do."

"More COV, get ready recruit let's see what you got," said Lilith

It's a good thing I got a new shotgun and grenades to work with on those guys. The COV came running down from our left side. I threw a grenade at a group of them; it exploded, turning them into chunks. I looked over to see a flash of flame at the right and saw Lilith burning a few COVs and shooting one in the head. How was she doing that?

Never mind that I need to focus. I fired my new shotgun at one of the COV members, trying to jump off the edge. The shot was decent,t but I can find a better one. I switched back to my holorifle, but then a psycho came running at me and almost caved my head in.

I blocked his ax with holorilfe and heard a loud crack. Quickly stabbed in the throat, and the psycho went down. With the COV wave to be over, I looked at my rifle to see it was damaged with some sparks. Damn, how I suppose to fix this gun? Only the person who knows about it is locked in a vault.

That was a problem for a later time. I put away the gun and walked up to Lilith.

"That was good fighting recruit," said Lilith

"Thanks."

"Where Claptrap?"

Claptrap came behind a trash can and rolled over to us. " I'm sorry, but I had to check my system; it wasn't broken by that magnet."

"Yeah, sure you were?" I said

"Let's get inside. I'll catch up on what's going on right now, Courier," said Lilith. We walked inside, and Lilith told me what I needed to know. "A while back, the raiders had a map to vaults all across the borderlands. While thinking about the stars and the vaults, I didn't realize that map would attract trouble. It did, and I lost the map. While looking for the map, Pandora started to change. The bandit clans used to murder each other for fun. Now they fight under one banner."

"The Children of the Vault."

"Right. Let's get up here." We walked up the stairs and reached the metal door. "Their leaders of the Calypso Twins and their followers worship them like gods."

"I dealt with crazy people before but this is something new."

"That's not the crazy part. The twins convince the bandits that the map will take them to the Great Vault, and they've been murdering anyone who stands in their way."

The great vault, huh? Sounds like bullshit those Calypso Twins made up to get these bandits to follow them.

"There is a rumor that the bandit clan found an alien device. It could be the map. That's what we're here to find out."

Lilith approached the large set of metal doors. She tried to push, but they did not budge.

"Locked. Heh…not gonna keep a siren out."

Then she disappeared for a moment, and then the door opened from the other side, and Lilith reappeared. So, a siren has incredible powers. I'll keep a note of that.

"Alright, let's see what we're working with here," said Lilith

There was a computer, TV monitors, and COV propaganda signs. Lilith came up to the computer and pressed a few near the computer; then, a man with what looked like a mask, a skull with horns, and a speaker on the mouth appeared on the monitors.

"Shiv. The Sun Smasher clan has recovered the sacred vault map. Send our followers to invite the Sun Smasher into our family. You better hurry; our queen has grown hungry." The monitors went off.

"Who was that?" I said

"That was Mouthpiece; he spread the word of the COV all over Pandora," said Claptrap

"More importantly, the Sun Smasher has the map we need to get to them before they do. Vault Hunter, go to the Sun Smasher camp and get the map from their warchief however you can. While I set up camp and getting more intel about the Calypso twins," said Lilith

"No problem, where's their camp?"

"It should be nearby. I'll open the gate for you."

"As for me, I think I should come up with a plan to help defeat the twins," said Claptrap

"Yeah, I think it best so you wouldn't get caught by any more magnets." I said

"Hey."

Lilith opened the gate, and I ran out. I switched to Ranger Sequoia as I looked over to see a couple of vending machines, devices I had never seen before, and some wrecked cars.

I looked at the map to see that Lilith was right and that the Sun Smashers camp was nearby. Then Lilith came to my head.

"This kinda sucks, but the raider worked a lot worse. Hopefully, Ellie can get that ship running."

"Ship?"

"Let's just say we won't be staying on Pandora for long."

Now, I might be going on a spaceship. What's next? Are aliens and demons from the shadow?

Lilith asked me a question, "So what, you decide to be a vault hunter?"

"I'm curious about the vault plus the guns."

"You are sounding like a vault hunter already."

I mean half of what was true. The other half was that I still know little of this world or this galaxy. I came to the entrance of the Sun Smasher to see stone people with purple crystals out of their bodies. Does Lilith know about this? Then a shot was fired, and I saw a COV up top.

"Guys, we got company," she shouted.

I shot her in the head, but it was too late as COV members came out with some armies with rifles or shotguns. I switched to my SMG and went through the Sun Smasher area. Killing all types of COV like this dwarf who jumped into a pile of junk and trash and then came out of it with a turret. It didn't help that other COVs were shooting at me from cover. I wish I had my Red glare right now.
Got into VATS to take out the turret, the dwarf, and two COVs. I turned to see a structure that was built with containers. Then, three psychos ran down from the structure. Shot all three of them in the head with the Ranger Sequoia. I had to deal with more COV when I got onto the structure.

Where the hell are the Sun Smashers and that map? After killing the last COV on this structure, I found a crate. I opened it up to see it had a pistol. The ECHO told me this was a Vladof pistol with a taser feature. This gun could be helpful; then I heard someone shout.

"Hey, if you're not a COV., can you help me?"

It could be a trap or not. Ah, screw it, I had better odds. I followed the voice to see signs with fists and a large sun hanging on a pile of cars. I walked through the entrance and saw the voice coming from a smelly man wearing nothing but dirty underwear, a cape, and boots hanging upside down.

I have no words for what I'm looking at.
