Chapter 4: Bitter Blood. (3/4)

"Is she gonna be okay?" Maxwell asked as he sat down on Hagrid's table.

"The poor thing was abou' ter bleed ter death because o' tha' deep cut, but i think she will be okay." Hagrid reassured the boy as he poured him some tea.

After Hagrid and Ronald found them, Maxwell and Hermione did what they could to help Hagrid carry the wounded Unicorn foal back to his Hut. If Maxwell had been a minute or two late, the poor thing would have been sucked dry by that mysterious figure they encountered.

"You don't seem very surprised by it?" Hermione, who was sitting besides Maxwell, pointed out

"Actually..." Hagrid sighed in response. "This isn' the firs' unicorn tha' was attacked."

"How many?" Maxwell drank his warm tea after asking that.

"Jus one, before the one yeh two saved." Hagrid informed them. "I think it was her mum." The half-giant revealed to them with a sad face.

"Bastard..." Hearing that made Maxwell quite angry..

"Ter harm such a beau'iful an' peaceful creature." Hagrid visibly shared Maxwell's anger.

"Okay but..." Ronald, who was standing near the fire, decided to speak up. "What the bloody hell happened?"

Despite Ron's curiosity over the events that just transpired, Maxwell remembered the actual reason why they were there in the first place and he already delayed more than he should. "I will tell you later, but right now." His blue-green eyes moved to look at Hagrid. "The reason why we came here in the first place is to ask you a question and I request in advance that you don't waste your time trying to lie."

"Oh me, tha' sounds serious..." Hagrid seemed a little afraid of his tone of voice.

"It is." Maxwell decided to stop wasting time now. "You were the one that put that three-headed dog inside of that room, right?"

"His name is Fluffy an' i am really sorry fer 'im chasin' yeh all the way ter the hufflepuff common room." Hagrid pretty much confirmed and apologize for that.

"Fluffy?" Ronald could not believe that was it's name.

"Well... Fluffy is guarding something, isn't he?" Maxwell asked, despite already knowing the answer.

"I... Ummm... Yes." Hagrid already knew that it was a waste of time to try to lie to Maxwell.

"And that something is the Philosopher's Stone, right?" Maxwell bluntly asked the main question.

"Errr.." Hagrid seemed like he wanted to deny it, but Maxwell wasn't in the mood for it.

"Listen, someone broke into Vault 713, and I know that Vault belongs to Nicolas Flamel." So he decided to point out every single fact that led him to that conclusion. "The only thing he kept in that vault was the Philosopher's Stone, that means that someone was trying to steal it and was unsuccessful because it wasn't in the vault." Because the robbery of such a legendary artifact would not go unnoticed by the public. Since creating a Philosopher's Stone was one of the best known goals of Alchemy, Alchemists have sought to produce the stone for centuries. "Since it wasn't in the vault, that means that Nicolas probably entrusted the stone to someone since he never takes it with him anywhere." For obvious safety reasons. "There are only two people in this world that are still alive that he would entrust the stone to and I know perfectly well that my grandfather doesn't have it since he would have told me about it, which means..."

"That Dumbledore is the only other person who he would entrust the stone to." Hermione, who was listening to Maxwell's statement of facts, finished the conclusion for him.

"Correct." Maxwell confirmed despite the lack of necessity."

Hagrid sighed. "You know, you remind me a lot of Julius." He informed him. "He was also really good at figuring things out."

"Julius?" Ron was confused since he didn't know who that was.

"My grandfather's brother." Maxwell clarified. "Julius Augustus Peverell Jr.." Maxwell never met him since he died before his father was even born, but he always heard that he was an exceptional wizard. "But, I am not here to speak about my late granduncle, Hagrid." Despite being curious about him since he doesn't really hear much about him other than how great of a wizard he was. "I assume that your choice of words means that all of my assumptions are correct."

"Indeed, the philosopher's stone was trusted ter Dumbledore by Nicolas Flamel." Hagrid confirmed it.

"Hagrid..." Now that he had confirmation, he needed to come clean about something. "The night that...Fluffy..." It was still unbelievably strange to call it that. "Chased me around the school, it was because I was actually following someone into that room and that someone was definitely the same person that attacked the unicorn."

Wha'?!" Hagrid was visibly surprised by that revelation. "Maxwell, are yeh sure abou' this?"

"Not quite," Since he was certain that the one he encountered in the forest wasn't Quirrell. "But the signs are too much to ignore." Max went on with his explanation. "I mean, the only reason why anyone would want the Philosopher's Stone is to get their hands on the Elixir of Life and then some mysterious figure starts to attack unicorns to drink their blood, despite the risk of living a cursed life."

"Max..." Suddenly, Hermione called him. So the boy moved his head to look at his friend. "That man with the hood... The way he spoke to you, it seemed like you two already knew each other." She pointed out the fact.

"I noticed it as well but..." Maxwell agreed with her, but he was still clueless about what it was. He pondered deeply while rubbing his chin, remembering every aspect of the encounter in order to get a clue of that hooded man's identity. One thing that he said echoed through Maxwell's mind. It is the second time that a mudblood stands between you and I... Those words made him feel uneasy for some reason, and it is not because he used the word that he absolutely despised. Second time... I don't really know many Muggle-borns to be honest. He knew quite a lot of Pure-Bloods and Half-Bloods, but he didn't really know many Muggle-Born Wizards before he started his first-year in Hogwarts. I wonder if my mum was still alive, I would have met other Muggle-Borns like her- However, the moment that the thought of his late mother came into his mind, Maxwell widened his eyes in a shocking realization.

"You figured it out?" Ronald asked him, as he noticed the face that Maxwell made.

"No way..." Maxwell indeed figured it out.

"Who was he?" Hermione asked him since she realized that he knew who it was.

Make no mistake, Maxwell Peverell, you and I have unfinished business but I am still not ready. His words echoed through Maxwell's mind. Once I return to my full strength, I will finish what I intended to do that night.

"Max?" Hermione gently touched his shoulder in worry.

However, the moment she touched his shoulder, Maxwell harsly stood up from the table and unceremoniously moved towards the door.

"Wait, where are you going?!" Hermione asked as she also stood up.

"Max?" Hagrid called him in worry.

"Hey." Ronald also decided to follow him.

Maxwell ignored their calls and immediately exited Hagrid's Hut and went back the way they came from. Once I return to my full strength? Those were the words that worried him the most. That means that although he was able to return, he is weak to the point of needing unicorn blood to survive.

Despite being in a state of shock, or something close enough to that. He decided to remain grounded and analyze the situation logically. He is definitely after the Philosopher's Stone, but... Is it because he wants the Elixir of Life? His doubts mostly come from the fact that the Elixir of Life is not infallible. If a person used the Elixir to age beyond their natural lifespan, they would become completely dependent on it, and ceasing its consumption will lead to death. Furthermore, while the Elixir extended one's lifespan, it did not stop one's body from ageing, and if using it to reach an exceptionally advanced age, it would leave them with a decrepit appearance.

And what exactly does Quirinus Quirrell have to do with this? All this time he thought that Quirrell was the one doing this, but now. He is probably one of his followers and is aiding him somehow, but why does my scar hurt every time I am near him?

Maxwell unbuttoned his shirt in order to touch in his scar. You are the reason why it hurts, but why, what are you doing with it to make it hurt like that? That was the question that he mostly wanted the answer to.

"STOP!" Suddenly, Maxwell was broken away from his thoughts by someone yelling at him.

Without even realizing, Maxwell walked all the way back to the school. Strangely, he was standing in front of the doors that lead to the Great Hall. Moving his gaze up, he realized that Professor McGonagall was standing in front of him.

"Ummm..." Maxwell decided to ask. "I beg your pardon for inquiring thus, but..." The blond boy was very curious. "Pray tell, how did you come to discern our clandestine escapade?"

"What?" Ronald was confused with his choice of words.

"Quiet, Ronald." Hermione quickly shut him up.

"That isn't any of your concern, Mr. Peverell." The Head of Gryffindor House refused to answer his question. "What is your concern is to tell me what you were doing outside of the school grounds during such late hours?"

Someone probably saw us leaving the dorm and told the professor. That was his immediate conclusion.

After getting caught by Professor McGonagall, the older woman escorted the trio back to the Transfiguration Classroom to obviously scold them and deliver punishment for sneaking out in the middle of the night.

Maxwell took a deep breath and said. "I had the desire to inquire of Hagrid regarding the enigmatic Three-Headed Canine, and although Ronald and Hermione endeavored to dissuade me, they ultimately accompanied me to deter any potential misadventure."

"Why are you talking like this?" Ron asked him in confusion.

"Be quiet." Hermione told him to shut up again.

"Yet, as we progressed toward our destination, I espied a most dubious figure trespassing into the Forbidden Forest and resolved to ascertain whether he entertained nefarious intentions." The blond boy ignored his friend and decided to continue with his explanation. "To my astonishment and dismay, the dubious individual was pursuing unicorns with the nefarious intent of consuming their blood."

"Come again?" McGonagall was surprised by that revelation.

"Esteemed Professor, I find myself compelled to divulge a confession." Maxwell decided to be honest. "On that fateful night when Neville Longbottom and I were pursued by the formidable three-headed beast, I serendipitously observed the same individual traversing the hallowed corridors of the school."

"You what?" Now, she was actually shocked by the revelation.

"It is my conviction that this enigmatic personage is in pursuit of the extraordinary artifact which Fluffy—named with delightful irony by Hagrid—was diligently protecting." That was the final piece of information that he needed to say.

"Okay, can you please stop talking like that?" Ron requested it, not even trying to hide his annoyance with it.

"I was merely refining my genteel mode of discourse, my good fellow." Maxwell mockingly replied with a smirk. "But fine, I will stop." He returned his gaze towards the Professor. "Hagrid can confirm that someone was drinking unicorn blood in the Forbidden Forest and Neville can confirm that there was someone in the corridor during that night." He decided to present evidence to his theory. "And if you must give detention to anyone, please give it all to me because this whole escapade was my doing and they were just coming along to make sure that I didn't get into trouble, with a utterly disappointing outcome." That was a complete understatement.

"Mr. Peverell, you realize that this is a serious matter right?" Professor McGonagall was quick to ask him that, despite the fact that it wasn't a serious question.

"In light of the fact that the individual in question ardently endeavored to terminate my existence on two distinct occasions, I am indeed acutely cognizant of the gravity of this situation." Maxwell sarcastically responded.

"Stop talking like that!" Ronald lost his patience with Maxwell's attempt of elegant and sophisticated speech.

"Alright..." Maxwell rolled his eyes at his friend's reaction. "Truth be told, the only reason that I am telling you this now is because he actually attacked Hermione too and now that I think about it, we should really take her to Madam Pomfrey to be examined."

"What?" Hermione was surprised by that.

"You hit your head, remember?" Maxwell reminded her of it. "You may not be feeling anything right now, but head injuries should not be taken lightly."

"Ms. Granger, if you are indeed injured, you should indeed have Madam Pomfrey examine you just to be certain." Professor McGonagall agreed with Maxwell. "As for everything that you told me, Mr. Peverell." She had a serious expression on her face. "I believe this is a matter that the Headmaster should be made aware of."

Actually, I have a feeling that he already knows about it. Maxwell was sure of it. "Does that mean that you will take me to speak with the Headmaster?"

"Yes, but it is way too late for that." Considering that it was probably past midnight by now. "I will take you to speak with the Headmaster right after breakfast."

Maxwell nodded in agreement. "Will you take house points and give me detention for this?" It was obvious but it was better to just get it over with.

"Yes, twenty points will be taken from Gryffindor for your actions and a month worth of detention." The Professor gave him his punishment for it. "Mr. Weasley and Ms. Granger, although I do believe Mr. Peverell's words about the two of you simply accompanying him to keep him out of trouble, I simply cannot let you two off the hook for breaking the rules." She sadly admitted to them. "A week of detention for the two of you."

Maxwell lifted his hand for a second because he had a question.

"What is it?" She asked him.

"I know I am in no position to make demands, but..." Maxwell actually had a request. "Could my detention be helping Hagrid with his duties as Keeper of Keys and Grounds?"

McGonagall seemed a little confused with his request. "May I ask why?"

Maxwell rubbed the back of his head. "I want to help him nurse that unicorn foal that we saved back to health." That wasn't the only reason. "And see if we can do something to prevent any other unicorn from being attacked." Especially, if that is going to keep a certain someone from sustating himself with their blood.

Professor McGonagall sighed and said. "Normally, I would deny this kind of request but since I can tell that you have noble intentions, I will speak with Hagrid about it." She then stepped away from behind her table and moved towards the trio. "Now, come along." Before instructing them to follow her.

After their encounter with Professor McGonagall, Maxwell and Ronald were both escorted back to the Gryffindor common room, while Hermione was taken to the Hospital Wing in order to get examined for her head injury. Upon their arrival, they weren't able to get inside the bedroom without attracting attention. Maxwell went straight to his bed and fell asleep due to exhaustion caused by that entire ordeal.

The next morning came unbelievably quickly. Maxwell ended up oversleeping and when he woke up, almost everyone had already left for breakfast. So he quickly got dressed and made his way to the Great Hall.

However, upon his entrance, he came across the gaze of almost every single student, alongside whispers and gossiping.

Because it turns out.

Ronald, for some reason, decided to tell everyone that Maxwell went into the Forbidden Forest and fought some Dark Wizard that was hunting unicorns to drink their blood. Greatly annoying the blond boy since he didn't want information about the hooded figure to be spread around the school.

Unfortunately, nearly everyone knows about it now. With Maxwell being surrounded by his friends and Housemates, being bombarded by questions about it while he tried to eat his breakfast in peace.

"I might not express it that way, yet..." Maxwell spoke as he cut some fried eggs with a fork and knife. "Indeed, I did engage in a battle with a nefarious wizard who was assailing the noble unicorns." There was no point in denying.

"Did you actually save the unicorn?" Susan, who was sitting behind him at the Hufflepuff table, asked him.

"Thankfully, Hagrid is nursing her back to health." Maxwell informed her without looking back.

"The hell were you doing in the Forbidden Forest, Blondie?" Nymphadora, who was actually sitting behind him as well , asked.

"I was on my way to ask Hagrid about that Three-headed dog that chased me all the way to your common room." Maxwell decided to be honest with his older friend. "But then I saw a suspicious looking individual entering the Forbidden Forest and decided to see what he was doing." While leaving out crucial information.

"Just like that?" Neville, who was still on the opposite side of the table asked.

"Hermione said that you actually set him on fire." Ronald mentioned that part, causing everyone to look surprised in response.

"Speaking of Hermione, where is she?" He hasn't seen her since yesterday.

"I heard that she spent the night in the Hospital Wing, mostly because Madam Pomfrey wanted to keep her in observation." Ronald told him.

"Observation?" This wasn't a good sign, it could mean that her head injury was worse than he thought.

"Don't worry, it is just Madam Pomfrey wanting to be extra careful." Hannah, who was sitting besides Susan, quickly assured him.

"Hannah, that... Bloody bastard levitated her and dropped her from a considerable height," Maxwell told her, with both rage and worry emanating from his face. Moving his blue-green eyes towards the long table situated at the farthest point from the entrance, where a certain Professor was wearing a turban. What is your involvement in this?

"Max." Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Hm?" So he moved his gaze away from the High Table and looked to his left. "Good morning, Draco." Only to see his best friend standing there.

"Can we talk..." He looks at everyone around him. "In private." There was obviously something wrong as Draco seemed a bit worried.

"Sure..." And that made Maxwell worried as well. "Excuse me..." Unceremoniously, Maxwell stood up from his chair and accompanied Draco as the two decided to leave the Great Hall in order to speak privately.

The two of them quickly made their way outside and Maxwell asked him right away. "What is going on?"

"It's Greengrass, she didn't come back to the common room last night." Draco revealed to him.

"What?!" Maxwell was about to move back to the door to look at the Slytherin table.

"She didn't appear for breakfast either." Draco warned him before he has the chance.

"Bloody hell, Daphne..." Maxwell wasted no time in turning around and in order to return to the spot where he encountered Daphne the previous night. "Ah!" Only to get startled by the sight of someone that was standing right behind him.

"Where did you come from?" Draco asked as the one that just showed up was his cousin.

"From the Great Hall." Delphini Lestrange bluntly told her cousin.

Despite the pleasant sight of Delphini Lestrange's beautiful face. Maxwell was way too preoccupied with Daphne to appreciate. "Excuse me." So he he walked right past her.

"Hey!" Draco began to follow him from behind. "Where are you going?"

"She was doing some kind of ritual to finally open that bloody box once and for all." Maxwell explained to Draco as the two made their way to the exit. "But what if something went wrong?" He wasn't really familiar with that strange ritual that she was performing but he was familiar enough to know that rituals have a high possibility of going wrong and having a negative effect on the one performing it. "Or worse, what if whatever was inside was dangerous."

"I would be surprised if it wasn't dangerous, because that thing was way too protected." Draco stated. Before he looked back. "Wait, why is she following us?"

Maxwell also looked back and realized that Delphini was accompanying them.

"We don't have time for this, just come along." Maxwell told him, ignoring the fact that they were being followed.

"What in the world happened here?"

Maxwell, Draco and Delphini, all made their way to the spot where Daphne was performing a strange ritual to open the mysterious box.

Only to encounter a quite unpleasant sight. The ritual circle was covered in some strange matter that Maxwell never saw before and the area surrounding it was completely damaged, with dead trees and grass all around it. But what stood out the most, was the box that was placed in the center.

"She did it..." Draco pointed out, because the box was open.

"What was in the bloody box..." Maxwell was now afraid of the answer. "DAPHNE!" So she called out his friend's name.

She must have opened while Hagrid and Ronald were searching for Hermione and I, or else they would have noticed something. The blond boy thought as he frantically searched for the blond girl.

"Was there some kind of creature trapped inside?" Draco asked in horror as he looked around him.

"I don't know!" Maxwell yelled as he tried to search for any trace of Daphne.

"That ritual circle belongs to an ancient form of dark magic that was commonly practiced by indigenous people." Out of nowhere, Delphini spoke to them. "Greengrass did an exceptionally sloppy job in trying to recreate it."

"How do you know?" Draco asked in curiosity.

"There are a few words written in Iroquoian language inside that circle." She clarified as she pointed towards the ritual circle that Daphne made. " And I suggest you look that way." She pointed towards something with her index finger

Maxwell moved his head back to look at the direction that she was pointing towards and he realized that there were some marks on the ground. That seemed to be the marks of someone being dragged.

The Gryffindor then pulled out his wand and proceeded to follow that trail in hopes of finding his friend.

"Wait, are you seriously going to follow that?" Draco asked him, with Maxwell just rolling his eyes in response to his friend's cowardliness.

"If you want, you can go back to the Great Hall and inform the staff that a student is missing, but I'm gonna go look for Daphne." Maxwell informed him while holding his wand tightly. Then he turned around and proceeded to follow that trail that Delphini showed him.

"Maxwell!" Draco yelled his name as he entered the Forbidden Forest once again.

After walking a bit, it didn't take long for him to realize that someone was following him. "How did you know about the circle?" He asked since he knew it was Delphini.

"My family possesses quite a large collection of books and artifacts that are rooted in dark magic." The beautiful girl told him. Not that it was surprising since members of the Lestrange family were notorious for being Dark Wizards and Witches.

"Are you a Dark Witch?" Maxwell asked her, the question was half-serious.

"Yes." And she didn't even try to deny it.

"Do you plan on cursing me or something?" Maxwell stopped for a second and asked, that question was a serious one.

"Why would I do that?" She asked him as she catches up with him and stared at him. A rather intense and somewhat uncomfortable stare.

"Revenge." But Maxwell didn't flinch and just stared back. "You know my father killed your father and uncle during the war."

"So?" Something that clearly didn't bother her one bit.

"So..." He really didn't know how to answer. "Shouldn't you hate me or wanna get revenge against me or something like that?"

Delphini didn't answer, she just stood there staring at him. Before she took a step forward, causing Maxwell to step back without even realizing. And that continued with him taking three steps back and her taking three steps forward until Maxwell hit a tree, and Delphini cornered him.

"Umm..." The blond boy blushed a bit, because she was way too close to him. Not that it was a bad thing but that situation was a little awkward.

"I don't hate you." She confessed to him.

"Then... What exactly do you want from me?" Maxwell decided to ask since now he was very curious.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

For some reason, she didn't answer. She just continued to stare at him with her intense gaze. Leaving Maxwell even more uncomfortable. "Excuse me." But eventually, he got tired of it and decided to go back to what he was doing, which was search for his friend. So he gently pushed her away and continued to follow that trace that was left by whatever took Daphne. "When you do have an answer to what I asked, come talk to me." That was the last thing he said to Delphini Lestrange before he made his way forward

The Slytherin girl just stood there, watching as Maxwell moved away from her. She is so beautiful yet so strange. That was his opinion of Draco's cousin. Though, I am glad that she doesn't hold any grudges against me. Despite not exactly understanding why she is interested in him.

"Huh?" His thoughts regarding Delphini Lestrange were interrupted by the sight of something odd. As soon as the trail made him turn around a corner that was surrounded by large trees that barely had any space in between, the First-year student came across something strange.

"What is that?" Maxwell asked himself as he saw something really strange from afar but couldn't make it out what it was due to the distance. It was fallen on the ground and it wasn't moving.

Despite the fact that every ounce of common sense that he had inside of him was telling him to not approach it, the thought of Daphne being in danger made him ignore it and slowly move forward to check what exactly that was.

Please , please, please, please, please, PLEASE.... Maxwell practically begged internally.

Twenty-seven slow and quiet steps, was all that it took for him to reach the thing he saw from a distance. With a sigh of relief escaping his lips when he realized that it was nothing more than a dead male Centaur. Poor thing... Despite his relief that it wasn't Daphne, seeing something dead was not a pleasant sight at all.

The Centaur was deep black in a appearance but with long brown hair. His upper body was completely human like, with a considerably weak build and a somewhat flaccid looking appearance which was a oddity for his kind. His lower body was also quite strange, it was weak and it's legs were considerably thin.

How exactly did you die? Maxwell asked himself as inspected the body closely. Only to see several bite marks, strange bite marks that someone resembled human teeth, but at the same time it resembles the teeth of a beast. It was all over his body, like it purposely bite it in different spots. Whatever it did this, it seemed that it's teeth were it's only method of attack. That was the only explanation.

"Hmmm..." The blond boy pondered for a bit. If there was a creature inside that box, what creature would it be? Maxwell asked himself as he tried to analyze the clues. If Delphini was correct, it is of indigenous origin, specifically Iroquoian... He tried to think of something but nothing came to mind. Nothing except for one thing that came to his mind. No way, come on, how could something like that be trapped inside of a box in Highlands of Scotland .

Despite finding the possibility unlikely. The Gryffindor moved his eyes to look at the dead Centaur again. I mean... Bloody hell, this can't be happening...

"Appare Vestigium" In desperation for any clue, Maxwell performed the tracking spell. A charm that revealed and illuminated traces of recent magical activity and showed magical footprints and track marks in an area.

Thankfully, there were footprints that indicated that she might have been able to get away. Then he saw some signs that she actually attempted to use some spells against whatever was attacking it. But they were ineffective. What seemingly save Daphne from doom was the Centaur. Who attempted to battle the attacker but was overwhelmed. Then the charm showcased an image of the attacker as it bit the poor centaur over and over and over again, until it fell completely.

I was practically praying for it to be something else, but I guess I was cursed with the misfortune of always being right when I don't want to be. Wasting no more time , the boy watched the revealed footprints and proceeded to run towards the direction that Daphne went. Daphne, what the bloody hell did you got yourself into and why? That was a question that Maxwell desperately wanted the answer to.

But he wanted to hear that answer from her mouth. Please be okay.

Q AND A:

Okay so I know in the past I suggested as Oc that was something like the grandaughter of Vinda Rosier that was a student of Beauxbatons and Fleur friend got one more alternative Oc a great granddaughter of Natsai Onai a girl called Sophie Onai

Say Natsai had a kid with the student who had ancient magic say they got together and eventually moved to Canada or something and while the last two generations of the Onai family went to Ilvermorny with the family moving back to England Sophie is going to Hogwarts as for when she starts when Maxwell starts year two so same year as Ginny and Luna

Actually for some fun if it's ever brought up say the Peverell family has long been aware of the ancient magic and that users pop up every couple hundred years say the Peverell around the time of the Keepers found them all to be fucking idiots and could hardly stand them nor Isidora say actually that in this world it was the Peverell of that time that killed Isidora

As for the Peverell at the time of the Hogwarts legacy game so Angelo's parent right say they helped out the ancient magic user and they had a twin sister who got with Poppy and they two hated the Tudor era keepers even if they had different personalities to the Tudor era Peverell

Maxwell of course knows about ancient magic to but has no interest in it since it has nothing to do with him nor will a user of ancient magic appear in his life time even if he lives well into his hundreds that could actually be the Peverell attitude to ancient magic and those that have it neat to learn about but they only find it relevant when they themselves meet a ancient magic user

So spoke a bit about the tri wizard duo first trial with the Dragon and Maxwell being the only person in the world eager to get into a arena with a Hungarian Horntail of all things but with the second trial from canon in the Black Lake can Maxwell think to himself good thing I like swimming in that lake and two when he's bee lining for the mer folk village one thing he goes to keep the mer folk and Grindylows away from him if they get close to him with hostile intent is he conjures fire underwater of all things thanks to either Fiend Fire or Protego Diabolica but since Maxwell would have swam in the lake a few times by that point they could already know to keep their distance or the Mer Folk like him and just leave him be that would be nice

Haha maybe the Giant Squid could help just carry Maxwell to the village no rule says you can't get help from a giant kraken after all haha and Maxwell could have a Kelpie he made friends with swimming around him to

Things like meeting the Mer Folk of the lake and making some Kelpie friends could just be things Maxwell has gotten up to off screen as it where

Not sure if I mentioned this but for the Yule Ball since the rule that says younger year students can only attend if invited since it doesn't specify a limit to the invites can Maxwell just invite all the girls he's close to in the year below at the Yule Ball

I also hope the girls all agree each one of them will get a dance with Maxwell they just drew names from a hat to see who'd get the first dance and from then on figured out a order of which girl will dance with Maxwell next

Point is all the girls leave the ball having had a good dance or two with Maxwell and a nice moment with him and all within the timeframe of the a Yule Ball so the four hours the ball cover between 8 and midnight

Oh for Maxwell's outfit to the Yule Ball can he wear the Gryffindor Relic Robe, a white shirt, a red and gold suit vest and red trousers ie everyone agrees Maxwell is the best dressed at the ball haha

Maybe Delphini could wear a grey and black dress that has one shoulder strap that has some Augury feathers on it

I also hope the night ends with a very very happy Maxwell haha

Couldn't help but notice a response above one of the ones to me about Maxwell and Tonks sleeping together and got me thinking still hope myself that Nym gives Maxwell a little treat at the end of his first year but it got me thinking hope Maxwell has sex for the first time by at least the third year and the first girl he sleeps with is Delphi hell maybe he could in his second year

Definitely hope he's slept with Nym for the first time in his third year at least

Since way back I mentioned when it comes to Maxwell being a prefect and when he's doing the rounds with Draco they use the Marauders map to just head straight to anyone who's out when they shouldn't so the two mostly spend there time walking around chatting and just hanging out hope for some fun with Hermione it's the same with the added aspect of Maxwell is able to take her to the room of requirement a lot to fool around as for anyone that's out and about Maxwell or Hermione just send a Patronus message saying to get back to their dorm and they've lost points haha

I imagine Hermione could point out the slight hypocrisy if they bust a couple with their Patronus but Maxwell I think would just say eh who cares and in reality Hermione is just as eager to fool around anyway hahah

Thinking about it during one of the numerous times they fuck in the room of requirement could see Maxwell having the room take the form of the school library knowing that while Hermione loves kissing him in the normal library she would never dare to fuck in the actual libary

Maxwell could have a real knack for using the room to come up with fanasty locations for the girls haha

Also hope Maxwell's circle just comes to refer to the room as literally just Maxwell's room haha

Again while he's sharing a dorm for the first year with Hogwarts itself reacting to Maxwell different due to all the founders blood in him and all that the castle provides him his own private room for the second year going forward after the first year the only time Maxwell shares a room with some is if said person or persons are girls haha

I'm avoiding adding any more OCs.

There will be a side-story involving that in one of the summers.

Again, that will be something that Angelo will talk about.

Pretty much.

The major problem during the second task will be the fact that Maxwell will have to save all of the hostages by himself. Plus the fact that Gabrielle shape-shifts into a bird-like creature that makes all of the Mer Folk attack her.

I like the idea of the giant squib helping Maxwell.

I love that idea and it sounds just like Maxwell's showcasing his Slytherin cunning by bending the rules to invite a bunch of people and calling them his dates.

Haha, that's a funny idea, but Maxwell will probably do a youngest to oldest order.

Yup.

I was actually thinking the same thing, I'm already imagining a funny interaction between him and Ronald, with him being jealous of his awesome robes.

Ohh, I like that idea.

Unfortunately, bittersweet because of something unpleasant ruining the night.

Nym and Max will have a bit of a moment after she officially graduates.

Pretty much.

I don't know about that one.

Haha, but that is funny.

That sounds like Hermione.

Well...

Not exactly...

Glad we are focusing entirely on Max now.

Happy they got to save the unicorn.

Glad that you like it.

The unicorn will kind of become Maxwell's pet.

Hope we can get another chapter soon and happy that from the looks of it chapters going forward will be just for Max.

Here we go...

Personally, I secretly regret that Alistair's story was not continued. But I can understand Maxwell and Hermione's relationship is slowly evolving, which is nice. meeting between You-Know-Who and Maxwell are even more impressive than in the movie. It makes the villain look scary and formidable at the same time, which I really like.
- Will Ginny have a chance at being in Maxwell's harem? It would be a shame if she wasn't there. But I can understand
- Which female character do you like the most in this story?
Good morning, and in case I don't see ya: Good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

Originally, Alistair story was going to be it's own individual story in the Marauders Era, but I ended up dropping the idea due to a lack of time.

Yes

I don't really have favorite since most of them are great.

Wonderful to get a new chapter for this story and that going forward more focus will be given to Maxwell

It is low key kinda adorable how Maxwell and Hermione had something like a couples moment where Hermione was trying to tidy his hair before he went out also liked that Maxwell didn't even let a slight passing insult to Draco stand and that he gave Ron a tiny bit of grief for it and also I just imagine how happy Ginny will be when she learns Maxwell already considers her pretty haha

Also nice to know Maxwell had spent the majority of the day with Draco and Delphini

Credit where it's due good on Ron for stopping Maxwell and Hermione diving into a conversation about astrology when they have places to be haha do find it funny he was happy to talk about Quidditch in detail before hand however haha

Stumbling across Daphne casually carrying out a ritual wasn't all that shocking haha and definitely feel like we are building to a moment where Maxwell will tell Daphne "your lucky I find you endearing as hell despite your complete lack of social skills" haha did like the detail that while Maxwell is completely use to dealing with Daphne and her general attitude and isn't bothered by it the one thing he won't stand from her is her calling him just Peverell

So I do kinda hope despite the fact she's putting all this importance into getting the box open Daphne does feel some level of regret for how she was with Maxwell this chapter especially after she like hears what Maxwell got up to in the forest essentially she realises while getting the box open is important that was no reason for her to treat Maxwell like he was apart of everyone else that isn't her sister

So yeah think Maxwell is due a bit of a apology from Daphne in their next scene next chapter

Considering Maxwell has Occlumency if I remember right can't be anything on the outside effecting his actions so what I'm going to call it is his Slytherin brain was wondering why the fuck his Gryffindor heart was in the driving seat haha but yeah it can't be anything like the tiny little shard of Voldemorts soul in him as Maxwell knows about that already so that can't be effecting why he was drawn into the woods the only thing about that which effects him is the pain in his scar

Do like Maxwell getting the drop on Quirrelmort the only thing I feel like I have to question is Maxwell not instantly realising who was standing before him even if he didn't recognise the voice Voldemort was practically spelling it out for Maxwell he literally said this is the second time a mud blood has gotten between us so Maxwell being as smart as he's been shown to be should easily have out two and two together and realised oh this is actually Voldemort in front of me even with what was happening I feel like Maxwell really should have figured out in this chapter that it was Voldemort I just can't buy the fact that this chapter didn't have him realising who the hooded figure was like when Hermione asked who that was Maxwell I think should have said there and then "Hermione that was Voldemort"

Anyway glad Maxwell and Hermione where able to actually save the Unicorn fowl and tended to it after Voldemort went away

Nice to know it will be Maxwell that gets Nym in contact with Mad Eye for him to oversee her training as a Auror

Since I hope Mad Eye is someone that likes Maxwell a good deal hope in his first meeting with Nym where he takes her on as his trainee he says to Nym "Maxwell wouldn't ask me to train someone if they where going to waste my time so I hope for your sake his faith in you is well placed" also when Nym says thanks for this can Maxwell just quip "see if you still feel like saying thanks after Mad Eyes training haha"

Dark arts wise then I hope a spell from that range that Maxwell knows currently is Protego Diabolica and when he becomes real invested in the dark arts he quickly learns its sister spell Fiendfyre among others

I'm glad to hear it.

They gonna have a lot of those, especially during the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

Yup...

He wasn't really in the mood for a nerd-talk about astrology.

For his friends, it's Maxwell with no exceptions.

Nah, Daphne treats everyone like that.

She will own him a hell of an apology for complete different reasons.

It was partially that, plus something else.

He was too preoccupied with Hermione to put the pieces together, but once he did, it was obvious.

Maxwell will nurse her back to health and develop a bond with her.

Yup...

Haha, that is basically what it is.

Unfortunately, not yet.

Cool! -
