Cat and Claw debated on which windup toy mouse to get. "Remind me again why we're buying this?" Claw asked. "Simple. We drop it down Marinette's skylight and she gets the hint to make me lots of toy mice for Christmas," Cat sighed happily.
"Wouldn't you like a scratching post instead?" Claw looked at his friend. "Toy mice make you soft."
Cat blushed. "I am the cuddly type. Come on, you get one too."
"Fine, fine,"Claw rolled his eyes. "Just don't tell Toxinelle or they'll be a lot of stuffing to cleanup."
Once purchased, Cat put the mice in his Santa bag, donning his, and started towards Marinette's, Claw on his heels.
With two thumps! they landed on Marinette's balcony and Claw walked forward to go inside when Cat tugged his tail, drawing him back. "Don't go in there! If we drop them mice in, she'll take the hint and get right to sewing."
"Now, start winding them mice up so they can move around."A series of clicking filled the frosty air and one by one a shower of mice dropped into Marinette's bedroom.
"Quick, let's go!"Cat was already scrambling on the snow covered balcony ledge when he heard a frustrated voice.
"Cat Noir!""Go, go!"Cat launched himself, his Santa hat now at a jaunty angle .Just
then,Ladybug appeared in front of him ,holding one of the mice by the tail.
"You want to explain Exhibit A?I was just visiting Marinette, and suddenly a army of mice appeared."
"I thought it would drop a hint. You know,so I get them in my stocking?"
Ladybug shot a look at Claw."What do you have to do with this?"Claw's eyes gleamed."I want a toy mouse too!"
"I'll see what I can do,but no promises and no more mice!"
Cat smiled. Marinette would always come through. After all,it was only the first of December, plenty of time to go before his toy mice would be made.
