Author's Note: Hello there, my readers! It's definitely been a long time since I've updated this particular fanfic, huh? If I'm not mistaken, it's been four years, and never did I think it would take so long to do something with this story. Unfortunately, for the people who have been waiting a long time to see an update, if there's anyone that still cares (lol), this isn't an actual chapter. Instead, I want to talk to you guys for a moment.
When I first wrote this fic back in 2018, it became my favorite thing to write about rather quickly. While it's not my favorite thing to write anymore, I've always thought about returning to this story one day, because at the time when I stopped, I was planning for events to pick up in a big way.
But then… as an author, you re-read your own fics, and something else comes to mind. I feel like I've gotten better. I mean, I would hope that I've gotten better since 2018, but I mean this in a different way. When I look over this fic, there's some stuff I can still be happy about. And on the other side of the coin, there's other stuff that makes me cringe. It's not so horrible to where it makes me hate this Sonic and RWBY crossover, because I still look at it with some fondness. However, when you feel like you've gotten better as an author, a part of you feels like you can rewrite an old story of yours to really make it reach its full potential.
I haven't made an actual decision yet, because I'm 50/50 on it. This is why I'm asking you guys for help. Should I continue this story, or should I create a 'new and improved' version of it? I will say this, though. I'll always be a Sonic fan for life, but admittedly, I have no idea what happens in RWBY after Volume 8. Yes, I'm saying that I still haven't seen Volume 9, and the reason for that is because after a while, I thought the RWBY franchise had completely lost its mind, haha. I fully realize I'm saying this while also being a Sonic fan, but in my defense, the Sonic franchise has picked up with its writing as of late, and it's surely in a better place now compared to where it was over a decade ago. Regardless, aside from eventually watching Volume 9 of RWBY, I probably need to also rewatch all the volumes over again if I'm actually going to bring this story back.
Anyway, enough of that. For anybody that's still reading, like I already said, tell me what I should do in the reviews. Should I continue this story, or redo it? I'm open to anything.
