Demonic Crisis Ch 3: Aichi Expressway Massacre
An armoured police transport van sped down the Aichi Expressway escorted by a police car. Within the van was Kai Chisaki, head of the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group. When he opened his eyes, light from the barred window filtered in. He was in the metal cabin of the truck. He tried to move his arms, but found them and the rest of his entire body pinned to a metal slab by restraints. "Great, I've been caught," Chisaki thought to himself.
As the convoy sped down the road, a black car pulled up beside them. Its passengers, a group of men in suits, lowered the windows. They pulled out submachine guns and fired. The barrels blazed as they spewed bullets which punctured the tires of both police vehicles and forced their drivers to hit the brake to avoid spinning out. As the police vehicles came to a stop at the shoulder of the road, the black car skid to a sideways stop ahead.
Out came the passengers, members of the Shie Hassaikai. They took cover behind their vehicle and continued to shoot at the police. In turn, the cops managed to get open their vehicle doors and crawl out while keeping their heads down. The driver of the transport van peered out the side of his door and returned fire with a pistol. The Shie Hassaikai ducked his shots, then peeked out to return fire. The driver went back behind the safety of the door and bulletproof glass. When he tried to peek out to shoot again, he struck one of the Shie Hassaikai hit men.
A blond pro hero with a sharp moustache who wore a do-rag on his head rushed at the yakuza. He was the pro hero Snatch, who had the Quirk of "Sandstorm," which allowed the user to transform his upper body into sand. He blasted the yakuza with his Quirk, jamming their guns and knocking them down. One of them, a man in a burgundy suit, attempted to wriggle free of the sand, but found Snatch's grip too tight.
Seeing no other option, he dropped his disguise, becoming bathed in radiant golden light and repelled the sand. He took on the form of an angel with black wings clad in a white shawl. His physical body appeared as though he had walked out of a black and white photo. He had a rectangular white domino mask over his face and a halo hovering behind his head. Unsure of what he was seeing, Snatch hesitated momentarily, then collected himself and directed sand at the angel.
The angel hurled a blade of green air at Snatch, which sliced through the sand, then split the pro hero in two. The angel hurled more of this slicing wind at the rest of the police officers, separating them into bloody halves. With the officers slain, the angel ripped open the rear doors of the transport and yanked Chisaki out. After being roughly dumped on the ground outside, Chisaki looked up and saw the angel looming over him.
He became apprehensive. "Who... Who are you?" asked Chisaki.
"I am Masaru Tenma, or at least I used to be while undercover in your group. My true identity is Mastema, the Angel of Persecution who punishes evil in the name of God," replied the mysterious angel.
Chisaki was puzzled by the presence of this Mastema. "What do you want with me?" asked Chisaki.
"The same thing you want. I want to purge this world of the disease known as Quirks. I want to restore order, and to do so, Quirks and the Chaos they bring must be eliminated," replied Mastema with determination.
"We're in agreement about Quirks. They are a sickness that make people to do ridiculous things like putting on tights and calling themselves 'hero,'" remarked Chisaki, mocking the way Hero Society worked.
"Your Quirk-Killer drug is just what we need to achieve our goals. We'd like your Shie Hassaikai to mass produce it for us," said Mastema.
"I would, but I need access to my lab and my research. The police confiscated everything," admitted Chisaki.
"I already have the real bullets. Don't worry about them," replied Mastema.
Chisaki's eyes widened. "You stole my perfected drug?" asked Chisaki.
"Aye. I knew our enemies were spying on you. It was only a matter of time before they moved to destroy the fruits of your labour. Consider what I did a means of safeguarding your research," replied Mastema. "If you're willing to join us, I will take you to our headquarters and induct you as a member."
"Very well. I'll help you rid this world of Quirks," replied Chisaki.
"Thank you. Your help will be greatly appreciated," said Mastema with a smile.
Mastema picked up the slab with Chisaki on it and flew to the west as fast as his wings could carry them. Unknown to the duo, a pair of eyes watched the events from a rooftop three blocks south of the Aichi Expressway. The spy emerged from beyond the veil of dimensions and revealed herself as Scarlet the succubus, Abel's underling and lover. "Abel darling, you won't believe what I just saw! Mastema had taken Chisaki away!" she reported.
Several minutes later, Mastema landed outside of a derelict hospital somewhere in the outskirts of Nagasaki in western Japan. He quickly generated a wind blade to slice off the restraints which kept Chisaki bound, then bathed him in white light to heal him. In an instant, Chisaki felt his energy had been restored. "You'll need to be in top condition to work for us," said Mastema.
"Thank you," said Chisaki as he arose from the metal slab. He took one look over the hospital and its horrid state, then cast a grimace at the whole sight. "This is where we're going to make Quirk-Killer? Not unless we fix the place up. This place is so dusty, it's gonna make me sick."
"Take a step inside and look again," replied Mastema cryptically.
Chisaki entered the abandoned hospital and found that like its exterior, the interior was in bad shape as well. There was dust all over the floor and walls. Cobwebs hung from the corners of the room. Further in, he saw soiled and off-colour bulletin boards on the wall, torn from neglect and random animals clawing them. In the next room over, what was once a bed room for patients, had the furniture all covered in cobwebs and dust.
"It's just an abandoned hospital," remarked Chisaki, puzzled at what Mastema was trying to show him.
"Wait for it," replied Mastema.
As soon as he said that, the hospital started to distort and change. In the span of minutes, the interior of a neglected building became the exterior of a newly built structure. It was like time itself had reversed and brought him back to when a factory had been newly built on the same plot of land. Checking inside, he saw a floor filled with centrifuges and other equipment such as silvery vats and tubes which were meant to house liquids. There were angels and Law demon workers checking the equipment and keeping inventory.
Chisaki smiled. "Now, this I can work with! I can make all the Quirk-Killer you need with facilities like these," said Chisaki. "I just need the samples as a reference."
"Then take these," said Mastema.
He presented Chisaki with a small case with five bullets inside. They contained samples of the perfected Quirk-Killer. "I will get to work immediately!" assured Chisaki.

At the Foundation Domain, its members watched the news broadcast a story on what came to be known as the Aichi Expressway Massacre. "Due to the graphic nature of this story, viewer discretion is advised," warned the female newscaster. "Yesterday morning, Kai Chisaki, head of the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group, was being taken to Tartarus Prison via the Aichi Expressway. The Shie Hassaikai had ambushed the convoy and cut down Chisaki's guards. Chisaki had disappeared from the scene and is considered to be at large."
The news continued with prerecorded interviews with various authority figures such as Naomasa Tsukauchi, who was the detective investigating the massacre. "The Shie Hassaikai hit men passed by the transport carrying Chisaki, then shot out the tires. A firefight ensued with deaths on both sides. The Shie Hassaikai ended the fight with one of its members using what we suspect to be a slicing Quirk to dispatch Chisaki's guards," said Tsukauchi.
At the Foundation Domain, its members watched the news via Izuku's smartphone. The news displayed a recreation of the crime via computer graphics. Izuku grimaced at the glossy, cartoon-like footage, even though it showed no blood when people were sliced. "Wow, it's bad!" remarked Izuku.
"The authorities don't know it, but it was Mastema who took Chisaki away. He's one of God's top angels," said Yuzu.
"We suspect Mastema performed this rescue to recruit Chisaki and the Shie Hassaikai into mass producing Quirk-Killer. If they were to do something like set off a bomb with the stuff in a crowded sports stadium or train station, it would be a disaster!" said Abel.
Atsuro let out a deep breath. "Man, things have really escalated!" remarked Atsuro.
Midori shook her head. "When you deal with demons, it always does. It was just as bad during the Yamanote Lockdown," said Midori.
"I'm putting every resource I can into finding those Atma and Quirk-Killer factories. Then, we'll destroy them," said Abel.
A bit later, Abel visited the infirmary to check upon Yukio Yamaguchi, the former Shie Hassaikai boss. "Where am I?" asked Yamaguchi.
"You're in the Domain of the Atma Foundation. I am its leader, Abel, also known as the Immortal Stranger," replied Abel.
"Atma Foundation? What's that?" asked Yamaguchi.
"We're a group which works to contain the spread of the Atma virus. Atma is quite dangerous since it transforms its victims into cannibalistic demons. We at the Foundation secure these infected people while fighting non-human demons," replied Abel.
"I must be going crazy! I have a talking bird for my doctor and now I'm talking to a sorcerer," remarked Yamaguchi, resting his head in his hands.
"I assure you, Mr. Yamaguchi, that you're not going crazy. What you've seen so far is very real, and I must insist you be discreet about it," said Abel. "We mounted a dangerous rescue to get you and Eri Kisaragi away from the Shie Hassaikai."
Yamaguchi perked up. "Eri's here? Is she okay?" blurted Yamaguchi suddenly as he turned his gaze to Abel.
"Yes. As per her request, I've stripped her of her Quirk and gave her a new power to replace it," replied Abel.
"You can do that? Well, I guess it had to come to that. I know firsthand how dangerous Rewind can be. She accidentally erased her own father with it," remarked Yamaguchi, looking down in contemplation. "What about Chisaki? Where is he? What's he doing?"
"He and his gang are still at large, helping the angels make Quirk-Killer," replied Abel.
Yamaguchi seemed puzzled by that term. "Quirk-Killer? I don't like the sound of that," said Yamaguchi, starting to grimace.
"It's a drug designed to erase a person's Quirk. Eri's blood is its main ingredient," replied Abel.
Yamaguchi's eyes widened. "He was using Eri's blood to make drugs which destroy Quirks?" asked Yamaguchi.
"That's right. Since a human being, especially a child, only has so much blood, we suspect Chisaki had used his Overhaul Quirk to chop up Eri, then reconstruct her to make more," replied Abel.
A scowl formed on Yamaguchi's face from hearing how far his former protege had fallen. "Damn you Chisaki!" cursed Yamaguchi. "Let me see Eri!"
"Calm down! You've only just recovered. Don't strain yourself," said Abel.
"I need to see Eri! I have to make sure she's okay!" said Yamaguchi, attempting to leave the bed, but being held back by Abel.
"In due time, Mr. Yamaguchi, in due time. Eri is okay and under our protection. I'll send her along, but for now, please relax. You've only just recovered from that coma Chisaki had put you in," said Abel as he put Yamaguchi back into his bed.
Abel left the room and found Eri training by the colosseum. Midori was watching her as she applied a healing effect to a dummy. The dummy glowed with a white light and the rips on its body sealed in just seconds. "Good work Eri! You're getting very good at this," said Midori.
"Thank you, Midori!" said Eri.
"Hey Eri," addressed Abel as he approached.
"Hi Master Abel. What did you need?" asked Eri out of curiosity.
"Your grandpa just woke up a few minutes ago. He wanted to see you. Come on! I'll take you to him," said Abel.
When Abel presented Eri to her grandfather, Yamaguchi hugged his granddaughter. "Are you okay Eri? I heard Chisaki was doing bad things to you while I was in my long sleep," asked Yamaguchi.
"Yeah. Kai was getting my blood with his Quirk. Abel and friends took me away from him and gave me a new power. I was practising before Master Abel brought me to see you. My new power is called Goddess Transmigration!" said Eri. She manifested the saintly goddess behind her. "See? Isn't it great?"
Yamaguchi's previous frowning became replaced with a smile. "Good for you!" said Yamaguchi, before turning away from Eri. "Thank you Abel, for getting my granddaughter away from Chisaki."
"You're welcome. We'll have to keep you hidden here in our Domain for now. The pro heroes and police arrested most of the Shie Hassaikai, but there are remnants still out there, as is Chisaki," said Abel. "Since Eri can't attend a normal school like this, we've decided to hire a private tutor for her. She'll take lessons under an alias."
"I understand. I was yakuza too, you know. I'm no stranger to laying low to avoid heat," said Yamaguchi.
After the meeting, Eri returned to training with Midori on how to harness Goddess Transmigration and the holy powers it provided her. When the night came, other Foundation members arrived to begin training and found Eri already there with Midori. "Hey!" said Izuku as he entered the colosseum with a bright smile.
"Hi Izuku!" said Midori, returning the smile.
"Oh, is that Eri Kisaragi?" asked Melissa. "She's so cute!"
"Yep, this is Eri," replied Midori. "Say hi to our friends, Izuku, Melissa, Danjuro, Manami, Kashiko, and Jin."
"H... Hi," said Eri shyly, cowering behind Midori.
"Hi Eri!" said Kashiko.
"Hello little one. It's nice to meet you," said Danjuro.
Eri hid behind Midori's leg after the the others introduced themselves to her. "Eri's a little shy. She's not used to being around other people yet," said Midori.
"You're a lot like me. I'm not a very social person myself," said Manami.
"What kind of powers do you have Eri? I'll bet it's a cool one!" asked Izuku eagerly.
"It's... It's Goddess Transmigration," replied Eri.
"Why not show it to them?" suggested Midori.
Eri brought out the Goddess for the group to see. The saintly woman in white robes radiated a wholesome, soothing golden light from her very being. "Ah! So she's our little goddess of victory!" remarked Jin.
Manami was slack-jawed in awe, and noted a familiarity to the power. "Is the Goddess a Standing Persona like my Kingdom of Hearts and Jin's Paratrooper?" asked Manami.
"That's right. My friend replaced her old Quirk to keep the angels from getting its power. The Goddess gives Eri holy power for healing and blasting. I'm training Eri since I specialize in holy power like she does," said Midori.
"Wow! We have so much in common, Eri! I also have holy power through the Kingdom of Hearts," said Manami.
"Since your powers have similarities, you two should train together," said Midori.
Manami smiled at Eri. "We'll be seeing a lot of each other. Let's work together to get stronger!" said Manami.
"Okay!" said Eri.

At Nagasaki, Ibara had left the Golden Sun dojo after a hard day's training in the Luminance and learning how to be a pro hero. As she walked along the street, the sun started to set below the sky and cast a crimson glow upon the city. She decided to take a shortcut through a back road with garages for cars and a concrete driveway leading out to the main road. As she walked along, she felt a strange sensation coming from behind.
She looked back and saw a strange mass of pixelated light seep out from under a garage door. It coalesced into a pink, griffin-like demon with bat wings, a Gagyson. "Demon!" remarked Ibara.
The Gagyson hurled ball lightning at her, but her quick reflexes got her out of the way. She fired a holy beam in return, but the Gagyson shifted right to evade it. It swooped in for the attack, but Ibara sidestepped left and let it overshoot her. The creature was fast and could fly and attack at range, which meant outrunning it was not possible, especially on foot. She had no choice but to fight. She got ready and waited for the demon to dive at her.
After having another ball lightning evaded, it took the bait, then she launched a straight right directly to its face. Empowered by holy energy, her fist burnt the creature and caused it to crumple onto the ground. The demon vanished in a burst of black mist, leaving no sign that it ever existed. Ibara quickly ran out of the driveway, afraid that more demons might be waiting in ambush for her in this area. When she finally reached home, she plopped onto her bed and took a deep breath.
She mentioned the attack to her friends at lunch via texting. "Are you okay? You weren't hurt, were you?" asked Itsuka.
"Yeah, I'm fine. God saw fit to deliver me from harm. With the Luminance, I defeated it with my fists, then ran away as fast as I could. I didn't want to stick around in case more were lurking nearby," replied Ibara.
"I'm glad you're safe," said Itsuka.
"It was God's blessing which let me defeat the demon," said Ibara.
"Demon huh?" remarked Itsuka. "I wouldn't be surprised if they really were demons. Nothing can hurt them, not fists, not guns, not even Quirks."
"They can hit us, but we can't hit 'em back? What the hell's up with that? How are we supposed to fight 'em?" asked Tetsu via text.
"The Luminance can hurt them. God provides," replied Ibara. "Anyway, how have you two been? Have you been adjusting to dorm life and those new restrictions?"
"Oh, after the League got caught, and the outcry from the parents, UA backpedalled a bit. The dorms are going to be optional, mainly for those from out of town," replied Itsuka. "They won't start employing the dorms until the next batch of first-years come to UA next spring."
"That's good. I remember you really being against them, Tetsu," remarked Ibara.
"Not so much the dorms, but being locked up in them like we were villains," said Tetsu.
"What's going on over at UA? Anything interesting?" asked Ibara.
"1B is going to do some joint training with 1A to see how far we've progressed. I've heard that each class will be divided into five teams of four members and pitted against each other," said Itsuka.
"We're gonna show 1A who's boss!" said Monoma via text.
"With Iida in juvie and me here at Nagasaki, aren't you each short a student?" asked Ibara.
"Yeah, but I heard they were going to have some students from the other courses join our teams. If the teachers like what they see during the training, they'll get moved into the hero course next year," replied Tetsu.
"That's good! Those who failed at the entrance exam are getting a second chance," remarked Ibara.

Abel brought Izuku into the magic firing range for a new lesson in the usage of Altered Beast. "Izuku, with the rise of the angels in Nagasaki, you'll need a form which is good for countering them. That is where your next form, the Rakshasa or Weretiger, will come in. Angels tend to be vulnerable to dark power, which the Rakshasa specializes in. Focus on the new form and awaken the beast within," said Abel.
Izuku concentrated on the beast within and saw a vision of a white tiger gazing back at him. His hair fell out as his skin started to throb with something transforming beneath it. Massive clawed paws tore out of his skin like it was a latex costume covering the beast within. His human eyes burst and revealed the yellow eyes of the beast behind them. The rest of his skin ripped as the body of the tiger bust out and grew white fur with black stripes.
"So this is the Rakshasa," remarked Altered Beast.
"Yes. Test its capabilities on those dummies," said Abel, who created targets for Altered Beast from the Domain's matter.
Beast rushed at the targets and sliced through them with his claws. The dummies quickly regenerated, so he tried again, this time with his claws enshrouded by darkness. He made a wound on the dummies as expected, but unlike before, their wounds did not seem to heal. "It's not healing like before," remarked Altered Beast. "Does my power somehow disrupt healing?"
"That's right. It's a special trait of the Rakshasa. Those struck by its dark power have healing inhibited, no matter how its brought about," said Abel.
"If only I had this at the USJ. I would've hacked that monster to pieces easily!" remarked Altered Beast.
"Indeed. With its regeneration shut down, it was only a matter of time before you wore down the Nomu. It would not have survived its encounter with you," remarked Abel. "Try the Rakshasa's special uppercut and its ranged dark blasts."
Altered Beast ran close to one of the dummies, then launched into a leaping uppercut with dark power propelling him upward. This "Shadow Uppercut" left a claw wound on the dummy, which had stopped healing thanks to the curse he had placed upon the dummy. Beast landed, then backed away from the dummies as they came to attack him. He then swung his claws through the air, which hurled "Shadow Blades." These blades of darkness cut down the dummies one after the other. With their regeneration shut down, they could not recover and remained dead.
"How are you liking the Rakshasa's power?" asked Abel as Altered Beast returned to his human form.
"It's very much like my Werewolf, but the special moves are different," said Izuku.
"Yeah, they are counterparts of each other, aren't they? These two will be your best weapons against the Divine and Fallen. You can match elements defensively, but use the opposite when on offence. I'll leave those decisions up to you," said Abel.
"Are we going up against demons soon?" asked Izuku.
Abel nodded. "My scouts have reported portals being opened in the outskirts of Deika City. They've also discovered a hidden Domain where they found machinery which was producing Atma. Both sites are heavily guarded, so we're getting all hands on deck for this bust," said Abel.
The night of the mission came and all of the demon hunters, demons, and Spade Mercenaries met in the colosseum for a briefing. The combined forces of the Foundation divided themselves into groups. Abel would lead the attack on the Atma factory with Midori, Jin's Paratroopers, and a group of their demons. The other team would shut down the Perpetual Reactor and dispose of it. This team was led by Atsuro, with Yuzu, Dr. Shield, and the Foundation's demon hunters working under him.
With the groups set, they departed for Deika to carry out the mission. At that city, it seemed like a quiet night with the crescent moon shining brightly over the sky. Storm clouds started to brew and blotted out the moon, then a great blizzard chilled the city. The demons on patrol in the sky were blown around and frozen, while those hiding in Deika came out in force as the Foundation's aerial demons approached the city.
Elemental blasts zipped across the sky and booms filled the air. An air raid siren started blaring to indicate to the people to take shelter. One of the attacking demons, Yog, targeted an abandoned warehouse containing a Domain entrance, then dropped an orb upon it. The building got crushed flat in just seconds, sealing the Domain entrance and preventing any more demons from exiting. Other such buildings were bombed by Spade Mercenary demons, preventing further reinforcements from arriving.
Vidofnir flew towards Murmur, who hovered in place on the back of his Griffin. Murmur hurled ball lightnings, which got absorbed into Vidofnir's body when they struck it. Vidofnir hurled his own in return, but they struck a previously invisible barrier around Murmur's body. They turned around and struck Vidofnir, who simply absorbed his own attack. Murmur sent a blast of air which hurled him back, but Vidofnir righted himself. His eyes glowed grey, causing stone to coat Murmur's body. The weight proved too much as the petrification spread and caused him to tumble to the ground.
Gradually, Deika's aerial defenders fell, leaving the skies under Foundation control. In the distance, a transport plane soared towards Deika. Inside were a hundred clones of Airborne, Jin Bubaigawara, all clad in military paratrooper gear. "Okay boys, stand up!" announced the first Airborne clone in the queue.
The paratroopers started to fasten their lines to another which crossed by overhead. As the plane approached its destination, the first paratrooper opened the door and checked outside. A light by the door turned from red to green. "Green light! GO! GO! GO!" cried the Airborne officer clone.
One by one, the Paratroopers jumped out of the door. Their yellow lines snagged on the hooks above, yanking their parachutes open. Bit by bit, the paratroopers reached ground and rolled forward to blunt their momentum. They fetched their weapons from their packs and marched out to an area just outside of the city proper. As anticipated, dozens of Chaos demons swarmed out of the city. The Paratroopers' weapons blazed as the unloaded hundreds of rounds. One of the Paratroopers launched a grenade which exploded with violent force, killing a trio of random demons.
At Deika's north stood an abandoned factory. Although it resembled a normal derelict building, it was a front for the Atma factory, which was hidden within a Domain on the grounds. Abel's team took position a distance from it. They were soon joined by some of Airborne's ghostly Paratroopers, who had fanned out to surround the building. The demons guarding the site soon realized the Foundation's presence and rushed out to confront them. The Paratroopers promptly opened fire, felling a trio of demons within the first five seconds.
The demons returned fire with elemental blasts as the rest of Abel's team slipped in through the east unnoticed. They were whisked onto the grounds in the Domain, in front of an intact and operational factory with a trio of smokestacks on its eastern rear. Three demon guards patrolling the grounds, Murmur, noticed them. They flew over and started to hurl ball lightnings. As one came at Midori, she hopped out of the way. She hurled a fireball in return, incinerating her attacker. Frosty the Black Frost, a black snowman clad in a violet jester's cap and shoes, hurled ice at the remaining two. They tumbled from the sky and shattered to pieces fatally.
More demons, this time Eligor demons, rushed out from within. They were knights in red plate armour with horned helmets who were mounted on horses. They were armed with spears, which they started hurling after they fanned out into a line. Abel teleported to the group's left flank and churned a swirling, watery maelstrom into existence on the ground. It caught the whole group and slowly dragged them to the centre.
Mao projected lightning into the maelstrom, causing it to jump from demon to demon, spread everywhere by the swirling water. The Eligors had been wiped out completely by that combination. "The way in is clear. Let's go!" cried Midori.
At eastern Deika, Altered Beast Werewolf pounced on an Eligor and severed the knight's head with a claw swipe. Eligor tumbled off the horse and vanished in motes of Magatsuhi. Metal Gear set off magnesium flares in front of a mass of Eligor and Murmur, blinding these knights momentarily. Plant Zombie made vines sprout out of the ground, snagging the knights' legs. The Kingdom of Hearts' card soldiers lobbed hearts and other rounds at the incapacitated knights, felling them one after the other.
The group stormed the abandoned warehouse, where they met with a group of manta-like Forneus. They sprayed icy water at everyone, including at Beast, who dove right to evade. He lobbed Lunar Balls in return, forcing his Forneus to ascend. It quickly fired another watery blast, which hit and knocked him down, then solidified to trap him in ice. Gear of War, who had followed the group in, sprayed the manta ray with a flamethrower and incinerated it in an instant.
He turned the flames upon the ice and melted Beast free. "Thanks! I was stuck there for a moment," said Altered Beast.
The others eliminated the rest of the Forneus demons and reached the Perpetual Reactor. Inside the rift within the protective plastic orb was the Marduk, the ship of the Spade Mercs. It was firing at countless demons within the Expanse. Other ships, which resembled floating islands, had formed a line with the Marduk to protect Hero Society from further invasion by the demons. Gear of War rushed to the keyboard and found that the demons had locked the system behind a password.
"I'll crack it open," assured Queen.
She plugged a laptop to the computer, then ran a program to crack the password. After a few minutes, the lock went down and Gear of War entered the command to shut down the entire Perpetual Reactor. The aperture vanished and the system powered down with a resigned hum. "The Perpetual Reactor is down. Time to get rid of it," announced Gear of War.
"This device will be converted into raw materials," announced Metal Gear, who promptly melted all of the Perpetual Reactor's metallic parts into a grey goo, which she absorbed as extra ammunition.
"Abel reports that the Atma factory has been destroyed," reported Atsuro through telepathy.
"We're done on our end too," reported Gear of War.
"Good! It's time we beat a hasty retreat!" said Atsuro.
END OF CHAPTER
