Chapter 5 Baggage

Randy;

Randy had a clear cut plan, avoid the girls and just focus on everything he had lost and his way to get it back. He thought no one would be around at half six, the drizzly day suggested that maybe running wasn't the best idea, but he knew it was better than staying in the house. So he got his running gear and as quietly as he could he went down stairs, hoping it would still be dark and quiet, much to his disappointed annoyance Raven was up sitting at the giant black table with her bacon and a crossword. When he got to the last step her eyes lifted and for a moment ashy silver looked at icy blue and Randy actually had no idea what to say, something about Raven made him uneasy despite the fact that so far Raven had done nothing but make sure he felt welcome in her house, maybe past hurt just wouldn't let him trust or even like another woman.

"I didn't think anyone would be up" Randy got out, going to the fridge, she had told him last night where the food and drink sources were if he needed them. Like she had promised there was a huge bottle of icy cold water with his name on it. Still despite a nice gesture he still wasn't sure if she was trustworthy.

"Clearly" Raven mused going back to her crossword, he didn't say anything else, he just carried on getting ready for his run, wondering just how long it would take for the house to be empty, he wanted the quiet but he also just wanted to snoop around.

"Oh so you're one of those" Raven remarked not looking up from her crossword.

"One of what?" Randy all but snapped, how she instantly judged him pissed him off more than he thought, she knew nothing of his life and yet she judged him.

Raven looked up again, this time with a light smile on her face, "Oh you know that guy that never stops talkin about himself, and on and on and I'm shocked I'm able to get words in edgeways right now"

Randy couldn't help it, he laughed, something about the lightness of her smile made him realise that she was merely pulling his leg and nothing more.

"Not a big talker?"

"Something like that" The less words the better, but he saw it in her eyes, it was like she could read his mind and he didn't like it one bit.

"Would you like some bacon Randy?"

On one hand he just wanted to run but on the other, that bacon smelt amazing and all he wanted was to face plant the hot pan. The basement door seemed to let out a loud groan and Randy was sure he felt the whole house shake, then the delighted hollering started and as much as he wanted to leave he found he couldn't, he just had to see how this panned out.

"Sure Raven"

She got up and got him a plate, piling it high with bacon and some scrambled eggs. All the while, the hollering from upstairs made it quite clear that Jamie was awake. Randy couldn't help but like Jamie instantly, those large blue eyes and innocent smile made him realise that not all long-legged blondes were bad. As the sound drew closer Raven put a plate in front of him,

"You may wanna look at the stars Randy"

He had no idea what the hell that meant until she pointed upwards, he looked straight up and on the ceiling, well all over the ceiling as he found out, there were stars of different kinds and colours. Jamie landed on the floor like a pro gymnist, Randy looked at her and instantly wished he hadn't, Jamie had gotten herself dressed only to forget her pants, Jamie didn't seem to notice, she was more concerned about the bacon, glad that Raven hadn't pulled her chair right up to the pan yet, it meant there was some for her.

"Jamie, feeling cold today?" Raven suggested, this wasn't a new occurance but usually it was just a shirt, or maybe a sock. Although in Jamie's defence she had a big day tomorrow and she was obviously excited so her memory had shifted a bit.

Jamie looked down and found that Raven was right, giggling she forgot where she was and who was in the room, her slender fingers curling around the light blonde pubic hairs, it made her giggle harder.

"No wonder my kitty was cold!" "Jamie put some pants on, Randy can't look at the roof forever"

Not wanting to hurt Randy's neck from straining to watch the stars and not at her half naked body, Jamie bounded back up the stairs in search of her missing pants.

When she was gone Randy felt the ease come back, he felt like he was being tested, would he look? Would he turn away? So many questions pounded in his skull it gave him a slight headache.

"That will happen from time to time, I figured you didn't need to see that this early in the mornin"

"She always forgets her pants?" He made a mental note to make sure Jamie was up before he came downstairs, it gave a better chance that he wouldn't have to see her naked, he had a slight feeling given Shawn's warning, that Iziah would jump at the chance to cause damage knowing that she had an acutal reason for being a psychopath.

"It tends to happen more when she is over-excited about the day, see tomorrow night Jam is flying to Tokoyo for her first show and clearly she is excited, so yeah thats the reason she wasn't wearing pants" Raven tried to explain when Jamie reappeared, this time fully clothed. She took a seat across from Randy, that brightness she exuded never seemed to waver, he wasn't sure if it was her upcoming trip or just her memory but she didn't seem to care that she had been half naked a few moments before, instead she just waited for her bacon, all the while moving in her chair, chanting about Japan.

"Whats the big show Jamie?" Randy asked simply because he was curious, he was pretty sure he wouldn't even remember her answer.

"Oh! I'm in my first year of fashion design and tomorry night is my first showing where all the pretty people have to wear what I make, oh I hope they like blurple!"

Wisely he didn't ask anymore questions and just ate his breakfast, it was still too early for Jamie's brightness, he decided he was just gonna finish his breakfast and leave before Iziah got up. Or maybe that was the reason he slowed down his chewing.

In the quietness Randy was able to take everything in properly, or maybe he was waiting out Iziah, he knew that she knew that he was still in the kitchen. Raven had finished her breakfast and was for some reason making several sandwiches, it was like she was own working line, and all she did at the moment was shake her hips to music only she could hear, her tattoos looked like colourful blurs as she kept making sandwiches. Randy was about to open his mouth, almost like he was unable to stop himself even though every instinct he had told him to stop he just couldn't, when the basement door came open, and her floaty voice carressed around in his head that for a moment he let himself fall.

"Hey Raven, is it weird that when you're dreaming about giving a guy head and he says you suck at this and then you turn into a giant piranha and eat him, that's weird right?" Iziah asked, not caring if Randy was listening, so far it was like he was invisible or imaginary.

"Sadly that will happen alot too Randy" Raven shook her head before addressing her sister, "And yes, yes that is weird"

"Isn't that point of a blowjob Iziah, to suck?" He couldn't help himself, it just came out before he could stop it, words kept forming and his tongue kept pushing them out. Iziah just looked at him blankly but still not addressing him, she looked to her sister.

"Seriously who is this guy?"

"Iziah Randy, Randy Iziah. There now you've met, now let me concentrate" Raven went back to her sandwiches, her silver orbs keeping an eye on the table, Jamie was happily playing on her phone, eating her bacon. From the way she moved Raven could tell she was nervous with excitement. Randy and Iziah seemed to be eye-balling each other, reguarding each movement as the first to make a move, Rae knew it would be Iziah, trying to pick another fight, hoping he would take the bait. The sad thing was, they always took the bait. Always.

Iziah grabbed her favourtie jumbo mug and filled it with coffee, when she sat down opposite Randy, she finally decided it was time to address him.

"So what's your baggage Randy?" Iziah lent back in her chair resting her socked feet on another chair, those silver eyes staring straight into his soul and as much as he wanted to look away, something held in place. Randy wasn't sure if he liked it or not, but then again he figured once he said some insults to her, she would run crying from the room.

"Iziah, leave it be" Raven said not looking up from her sandwiches but she could see the look on Iziah's face, poking the bear and rattling cages was everything she was about. Iziah was hoping to pick a fight so huge that Randy would leave, she didn't like the way he stared at Jamie, if he decided to make any kind of move towards Jamie, he would instantly regret it, Iziah loved destruction but she went postal when Jamie was involved.

"C'mon Rae, no one with options chooses this"

"My baggage is not your concern" Randy said evenly drawing Iziah's attention back to where he wanted it, with him.

She smirked, "Well neither are my tits and yet you keep staring at those"

"Maybe because the silicon in your chest is more interesting than what's coming out of your mouth"

Iziah just laughed, throwing back her head, the black and silver of her hair flying madly, "Is that the best you got? Calling me boring and accusing my bust of being fake? Oh you want a good comeback, I got one"

"Iziah! I said leave it be" Raven snapped at her sister, Raven didn't need a bloodbath this early in the morning, she had enough to worry about without adding Randy and Iziah trying to kill eachother. As per usual it was Jamie and her innocent questions that eased whatever tension Iziah had created. In the quiet Jamie had grown tired of her phone, she looked at Randy like she had just realised that he was there. Despite how annoyed he was with Iziah and her judgy insults, he just didn't have it in him to be a dick to Jamie, not when she had done nothing but be nice. Forgetful, but nice none the less.

"I know you from somewhere" Jamie mused pointing at Randy, "I just can't remember from where"

"I was here for dinner last night" Randy got out, he sounded like an asshole and he knew it, but in his mind, he was just trying to help Jamie and her memory.

Jamie waved it aside, "No, thats how you know me, I wanna know how I know you"

Of course to Randy, that was the same thing but he didn't say that knowing how explosive women could be. Besides he wasn't a fan on how Iziah was looking at him, daring him almost to do something mean to Jamie and her questions. To her surprise, Randy seemed to know that Jamie wouldn't stop with the questions but deep down he actually didn't mind. It actually made him smile. It had been a while since Randy had met a woman that only wanted frivolous information.

"I got it!" Jamie thumped her fist happily on the table making everyone except Raven jump, "You're the guy that wouldn't let me return my blender!"

He wanted to say yes, just to see her smile but he couldn't do it, looking at her little face he just knew that honesty was the best policy.

"No Jam"

So she went back to thinking, and Randy went back to staring down Iziah, who hadn't moved her feet from the chair. Raven started packing up her many sandwiches, putting them into seperate lunch bags and into a bigger bag that she would carry on her shoulder.

"C'mon Jim-Jam, I'll drop you at work on my way to jail and yes I'll be comin back tonight" Raven said before Jamie could freak out, she grabbed her stuff while Jamie bounced off her chair and went to grab her shoes, apparently the conversation with Randy halted.

Raven glared at Iziah, knowing what was going to happen the moment she shut the door, "Iziah, dont"

Iziah held her hands up in defence "I heard you mother"

"Bye bye bye bye!" Jamie cheered after making sure all her stuff was together. She followed her sister out the door, ten seconds later she was back, those blue orbs still a-flame.

"I got it! You're the guy that jumped out of the cake!" Jamie slammed the door shut and continued on her way.
