Life as one-half of "Zeg" was a whirlwind of photoshoots, brand deals, and viral content. Meg couldn't believe how far she'd come. Her followers adored her relatability, her family was (mostly) proud, and Zach was...well, Zach. Charming, attractive, and constantly talking about algorithms like they were mystical runes.

But fame had its price, and Meg was about to find out just how expensive it could be.

It All Started With a Misunderstanding

The day began like any other. Meg woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing nonstop. She squinted at the screen, her groggy mind processing the notifications.

"OMG, did Zach cheat on Meg?!"
"#ZegIsOverParty trending "
"How could he?!"

"What the hell?" Meg muttered, sitting up so fast she nearly fell off the bed.

She clicked on the first link she saw. It was a TikTok of Zach at a club, surrounded by a group of overly enthusiastic fans. One of them—a tall blonde in a sparkly dress—was leaning a little too close.

The internet, of course, was losing its collective mind.

"He's canceled!"
"Poor Meg, she deserves better."
"Men are trash!"

Before Meg could even process what she was seeing, her phone buzzed again. This time, it was a FaceTime from Zach.

"Meg, babe, I swear it's not what it looks like," Zach said the moment she picked up. His hair was messy in the "I woke up like this but really spent 20 minutes fixing it" way.

"Oh, really?" Meg said, crossing her arms. "Because it looks like you were auditioning for The Bachelor at a nightclub."

Zach sighed dramatically. "Those girls were just fans. One of them wanted a selfie, and she tripped into me. I didn't even stay at the club that long—I left after two kombuchas!"

"Kombuchas?" Meg raised an eyebrow.

"It's a vibe," Zach said solemnly.

Meg sighed. "Fine. But you owe me a public explanation. The internet's already calling me a clown."

Zach smirked. "You're a cute clown, though."

She hung up on him.

Damage Control

The PR damage control meeting was held over Zoom, with Zach, his manager, Meg, and her agent all crammed into tiny squares on the screen.

"We need to act fast," Lacey, Meg's agent, said. "A joint TikTok should clear this up. Something cute and couple-y. Maybe you bake cookies together?"

"Cookies are so last season," Zach's manager chimed in. "What about a dance challenge? Nothing says 'happy couple' like coordinated hip thrusts."

"Or," Meg said, raising her hand, "we could just tell the truth and move on?"

The silence that followed was deafening.

"You're adorable," Lacey finally said. "But no."

The TikTok That Saved "Zeg"

That evening, Meg and Zach filmed their TikTok apology…err, clarification video.

"Hey guys!" Zach said, flashing his signature smile. "We just wanted to clear the air about some recent rumors."

"Yeah," Meg added, forcing a grin. "Zach wasn't cheating. He was just… being clumsy with boundaries."

Zach laughed, throwing his arm around her. "Classic me, right? Anyway, we love you guys. Stay tuned for more fun content from Zeg!"

They ended the video with a cringe-worthy dance move that Meg immediately regretted.

But it worked. Within hours, the comments shifted from outrage to adoration.

"Aw, Zeg forever!"
"They're so cute, I can't!"
"I knew Zach wouldn't cheat—he's too obsessed with kombucha."

Back to Reality

The next day, Meg was finally starting to feel normal again when her phone buzzed with a notification from her mom.

"Sweetie, I saw the TikTok. Are you sure this boy is worth it? He looks like the kind of guy who spends more on moisturizer than groceries."

Before Meg could reply, another text came in—from Stewie.

"Meg, darling, if you're going to date an airhead, at least ensure he's amusing. This Zach fellow has the charisma of a wet sponge."

And then Peter chimed in: "Did you at least get a free kombucha outta this?"

Meg groaned, tossing her phone onto the couch. Dating a TikTok star was exhausting.

The Paparazzi Incident

As if things weren't chaotic enough, Meg and Zach were ambushed by paparazzi during their next outing. They were leaving a trendy juice bar when a swarm of photographers descended on them, shouting questions.

"Zach, what do you have to say about the cheating rumors?"
"Meg, are you staying with him out of pity?"
"Can we get a comment on the kombucha?"

Meg tried to keep her cool, but Zach, ever the showman, decided to ham it up.

He grabbed Meg's hand and shouted, "We're stronger than ever! Zeg is unbreakable!"

And then, to Meg's horror, he dipped her like they were in the final scene of a rom-com. She yelped, flailing as her sunglasses went flying.

"Stop being extra!" she hissed through gritted teeth.

"Babe, this is how you stay trending," Zach whispered, grinning for the cameras.

The Aftermath

By the end of the week, Meg was exhausted. The TikTok drama, the paparazzi, and Zach's unrelenting need for attention were wearing her down.

As they sat on her couch, Zach scrolling through his phone while sipping yet another kombucha, Meg finally snapped.

"Do you even like me?" she blurted out.

Zach looked up, confused. "What? Of course I like you. Why would you ask that?"

"Because sometimes it feels like you like the idea of me more than… me."

Zach frowned, setting his phone down. "Meg, that's not true. I think you're amazing. You're funny, smart, and—let's be real—your awkwardness is gold. But if I've been a little self-centered, I'm sorry. I'll work on it."

Meg sighed, unsure if she believed him. But for now, she decided to let it slide. After all, fame was complicated—and so was love.

And with Zach Flux, things were never boring.
