I woke up not much later in the tent.

"How are you feeling?" Hatori asked, reading a book next to me.

"Weak. otherwise not terrible." I weakly responded, turning on my side looking at him.

He smiled but had a look of guilt in his eyes.

"I will be fine. I needed to do it. I haven't done it in a while."

"I know Dragedge told me. I also know you didn't have much of a choice with me being injured we couldn't make a strong enough arrow."

"It's not your fault."

My stomach growled at the worst timing. We both started laughing as he helped me up. We walked over to the rest of the group.

"I haven't seen you do that for a while." Dragedge started walking over.

"I know. I don't like doing it much."

"you ok?"

i nodded.

"how about we join the others?" Hatori suggested.

"I am fine with that. I am ready to get this mission over with." I responded.

I noticed the others looking at an item by the fire.

"What is that?" Soul asked, reaching for it.

"Not a good idea. We don't know what it is or what it does. I am going to keep it in my dimensional bag till we figure it out." Victor suggested.

"What did you two find?" I asked , sitting down.

"It looks like a sword." Dragedge responded.

"What was the strange power surge I felt earlier?" Maka questioned.

"I released a little bit of my power." I responded.

"You restrict your power too?" Tsubaki asked.

"Yeah. If I release all of it I have a higher chance of going mad so I learned to suppress some of it, allowing me to handle them a little better and a way to have people underestimate me. It's kind of fun." I responded.

"Hey Grim, do you know what this is?" Victor asked, handing me the item.

I took a look at it.

"I have seen swords like this before. I can't put my finger on where." I replied, handing it back to him.

"I wonder where it came from?" Black Star added.

We sat and chatted by the fire for a bit. Everyone decided to go to bed. I stayed back for a few minutes looking at the fire.

"Sis. You ok?" Kid asked, sitting next to me.

"For the most part. I'm not a fan of being back here or releasing much power. I am also worried about Hatori, he is still not fully healed yet. Something about this mission feels off." I responded.

"I guess we are not going home any time soon are we?" He joked.

"I guess not." I laughed.

"Hatori is going to be fine. Victor is a good medic."

"I know it still bothers me."

"It really is great to see you and have you back. I missed you and Patty is ready for a rematch." He tried to cheer me up.

"I missed you too and we will have that rematch."

We both laughed, put out the fire and went to sleep. The next morning we packed up camp trying to decide what to do.

"I wonder why a kishin has what looks like a sword." Maka wondered.

"No idea it does seem odd, maybe there is a witch involved?" Soul suggested.

"That would make some sense." Victor agreed.

"Are there any witches left in the area?" I questioned.

"I thought they all cleared out years ago." He responded.

"That's what I thought, we may have to inform dad and travel to other towns to make sure." I continued.

"I would rather not be here much longer but that might not be a bad idea." Victor chimed in.

"I think we check the surrounding towns only the witch would not have gone far." Hatori suggested.

Everyone agreed. Kid did his usual thing to contact dad.

"Hello kiddos how ya doing?" He answered cheerfully.

"We might be here a little longer. We defeated the kishin but it seemed to be guarding an item. We also think there is a witch nearby." Kid started.

"What is the item?" He asked.

"It looks like a sword." Soul chimed in.

"Can I take a look at it?" He questioned.

"Sure." Victor said, walking over with it in his hand.

"It is an ancient kishin blade." My father confirmed.

"Why would he have one? And what would a witch want with one?" Maka asked.

"To be able to free Asura again." He said.

We all froze at the name.

"Who would want to free him a second time?" Soul asked.

"A lot of people still follow him and think he should rule and be the true reaper." My father continued.

"I don't understand." Black Star chimed in.

"I don't think any of us do." My father said.

"Well good luck with everything." He said and hung up.

"I can't stand him sometimes." I commented rubbing my temples.

"Same." Kid agreed.

"I guess we should get moving." Victor added.

Everyone agreed and we got moving. I was having some trouble at the start of the walk. Hatori had a look of concern on his face, while wincing from his own pain.

"You should be taking it easy, you don't heal like I do." I suggested.

"I am fine really. I have been in worse pain and have had worse happen, trust me."

"That's what worries me. You getting hurt worse."

He had a soft expression as he pulled me in for a hug. I could almost feel his pain. I called Victor over for some healing magic. After a short break we got ready to go again. We reached the nearest town.

"We need to be careful we don't know if there is a witch or kishin here as well." I reminded the group.

Everyone nodded. We noticed there was not many people or anyone really walking around.

"I thought there would be more people." Dragedge commented.

"I thought so too. The town I lived in is about two miles north of here. I used to come here for supplies all the time." Victor added.

We proceeded with caution. As we walked around the town and noticed some houses that looked abandoned or damaged like a fight happened.

"What happened here?" Soul asked.

"It looks like a fight. maybe a witch and kishin. Hopefully we can find them soon." I added.

After walking around we started hearing strange sounds from one of the houses.

"What was that?!" Black Star and Soul exclaimed simultaneously nearly hugging each other.

"I'll check it out. Everyone stay here." I ordered.

"But sis you're still hurt. Why not let Patty,Liz and I go?" Kid suggested.

"We can do it." Patty exclaimed excitedly.

I paused.

"At least let Dragedge go with you." I conceded.

Kid smiled and nodded. the four went off disappearing in the dark. I had an uneasy feeling.
