Chapter 2

Jushiro picked up the mail from the floor as it had fallen through the slot. Sorting through the mail had become something he took upon himself to do. As he did so he found his letter that he had been waiting for and slipped that up his sleeve. Over time he had updated his wadrobe to what he had used to have. Kimono's that he could wear around the house. He also had everyday outfits that helped him blend in with the kids his age. A millennia he may be but he was currently physically only eleven years old. Once he had put the letter away he walked into the kitchen where his aunt had just set the table. While his family didn't mind him being magical and his aunt telling him about his parents. Before they died, as well as about Hogwarts. He knew they were uncomfortable when it came to the topic so he wouldn't burden them with the letter.

Breakfast had been a quiet affair and when it was over Jushiro went up to his room. He wanted to take care of the letter in peace and away from their eyes. He entered his room and sat at his desk where he was able to work in peace. After he had read the letter he set it aside and pulled out a blank piece of paper. Then picked up a pen and began writing his return letter.

Professor McGonagall,

I have just received my acceptance letter and look forward to my upcoming experience in your school. As my family is aware of magic, they are uncomfortable around the topic. If at all possible, could someone come and show me where it is I may purchase my supplies. And a guide through such a place? My aunt may know of the place but she doesn't remember where it is located and I will not burden her with such knowledge. Bad memories and all of her sister's passing, my late mother.

He folded it up and addressed it before he opened the window and stood near it. It wasn't long until an owl flew in and looked at him expectantly. "Please take this to Professor McGonagall." He knew animals were far more intelligent than they look. And he had no doubt that owls employed by Hogwarts were smarter than average. He was rewarded with a hoot and a leg being stuck out. Taking the clue he tied the letter to the leg and gave the owl a brief pet. "Fly safe little one." He was rewarded with a nibble to his fingertips before the owl flew off out the window.

Severus stared at the home that had James Potters son living within. He wondered how the boy turned out and why Minerva chose him to escort the boy. Smoothing out his robes he walked up to the door and gave it a firm knocking. He had no wish to waste valuable time in this so he hoped the boy was ready. He had sent a letter ahead of time after Minerva told him what he was to be doing. It took only a second for the door to be answered and what he saw was not at all what he had expected. Harry Potter had small bits of James and Lily in him. But he was not at all a carbon copy of James. It shocked him to the core and made him vow to get to know Lily's son. "Mr. Potter, I am Professor Snape, are you ready to head out?" He had to wonder how in merlins name the two managed to produce a boy who looked more regal than even Lily ever could.

Jushiro looked at the man who would be his escort and smiled kindly. "Of course sir." He stepped out and closed the door before he locked it. His family was spending a few days with Margery. She didn't like him much but her dog Ripper adored him. He was left alone, trusted not to do anything to the house while they were away. Something he would never dream of doing, shattering that trust was not on the agenda. He put the key in his pocket and turned his attention to Professor Snape. "I am ready sir." He truly hated being in the body of a child but he wouldn't let Mimihagi-Sama down.

Severus watched him closely before he held out an arm for him. "We will be using a one of the magical versions of teleportation. We call it apparating, I suggest Mr. Potter that you hold on tightly." He was given the boys key and no doubt he would wish to speak to his account manager. Severus had business with his own as well, he needed to check on a few of his investments. Once he felt the boy grab his arm he twisted on his feet and they were soon gone from Privet Drive.

When they landed Jushiro had to place a hand on the wall to steady himself. That was nothing like flash step or sonido, it was more upsetting on the senses. He shook his head and then straightened up and faced his escort. "That was a very unpleasant but enlightening experience." He would have to risk the Professor discovering who he was in order to travel back. Since he didn't have Sogyo no Kotowai at the moment he would have to use flash step. "If you don't mind I would like to show you a better way when its time to head back." He brushed his hair back over his shoulder as he locked eyes with the black clad man.

Severus watched Harry as he used the wall to steady himself. It was always like that for first timers. But none had ever recovered as swiftly as he had. Narrowing his eyes at the boy, he saw something in those bright eyes of his. "Very well, before we leave this spot here." He pulled out the boys vault key and handed it to him. "Never give this to just anyone. I would suggest while we are at the bank you check in with your account manager."

Jushiro took the key and nodded as he gave it a quick once over. He would do just that and allow only Shunsui, Retsu and Genryusai access to his account. He may have to see if he can transfer all he had accumulated from his time as a Captain. "I am ready to begin sir." He would remain polite to Professor Snape.

Severus nodded and turned on his heels making his robes flare around him. "Keep close Mr. Potter." He said as he led the way out of the alley they landed in.

Let me be clear on a few things. Jushiro has his original power level back. But he won't get Sogyo no Kotowari back until his 2nd year. I have an idea on how he calls on his Zanpakuto. As the Avatar of Balance he is stupidly op but because of his honor and compassion he won't show it unless he must.

Jushiro is going to be paired off with someone in a romantic sense. I am still deciding on whether its someone from the HP side of things or from Bleach. Either way it will be someone of MY choosing and if you don't like it then too bad.

Severus will be let in on the secret of course and the Soul Society will be alerted to their beloved favorite Captain being alive. Ill try and finish the school shopping trip in the next chapter as well as a few other things. I keep the chapters at about 1k - 2k because I like to keep you readers in suspense.

I will eventually add in the sequel, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Like every other aspect of this story it too shall be AU. There will be many surprises that won't be seen coming. But for now I shall leave you with the second chapter.
