Chapter 1: Raditz's Escape

Raditz couldn't believe it. He did it. He was finally free. Free of his torment by the hand of his superiors. The constant mocking. Especially from Nappa. No more will he hear Nappa's irritating voice of telling him he was to weak. And he was especially relieved that he won't see Vegeta again.

But the most relieving thing of it all. He was finally free of the Frieza force. He was no slave anymore. Faking his death was the most ingenious thing he ever did. It was a plan that took many months of planning. He might not be considered strong by Saiyan standards. Having a power level of only 910. But he made that up by his technical prowess. He created his own spaceship from scratch whenever he was off missions.

(Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. In this alternate reality Raditz is a genius, Lol)

The other two never cared what he did anyway. So they never bothered to ask what he was doing. The ship that he created couldn't be tracked down by the Frieza force. He made sure of that. Another genius creation he had made was a storage capsule. It was able to contain a large amount of items. He had to make sure the thing was small enough to fit in his armour. That ship was his getaway ticket to freedom. The only thing he had to do now was to somehow fake his death.

Raditz was an easy enough thing to do. He just had to make sure he was separated from Vegeta and Nappa. Which was a piece of cake. They always left him alone during missions since they said he slowed them down. He flew towards a place that had no population. Far enough from his fellow Saiyans. He created a large crater with his energy. He broke the armor he was wearing. And scattered the pieces around the crater. To make it more believable, he even smeared some blood from an animal he killed. The inhabitants had a power level between 800 and 3000. So it makes sense that Raditz could have been killed with no trace of him left. Especially if he dropped down his guard. His plan was perfect. He now only had find a hiding place and wait until his fellow Saiyans found his body.

Now you might think they can use their scouters to track Raditz's location. But the long-haired Saiyan thought of that. After all, he was a genius when it came to machines. He did regular updates on Vegeta's and Nappa's scouter, after all. He only needed to push a certain button on a control device he created. Raditz couldn't help but smirk. How it actually works was quite simple actually. The control device when pressed would send out sonic waves that would interfere with the scouter's location frequency. Quite complex I know.

When Vegeta and Nappa arrived at the crater that Raditz had made they cursed under their breath.

"So that's the reason he wouldn't answer our calls and we couldn't find his power level. The brat got himself killed," said Nappa with a frown.

Vegeta smirked. "I say good riddance. He was a liability, after all."

Raditz clenched his fist in anger. But he kept quiet.

"What now? Should we leave?"

Vegeta frowned. "Yes, We don't have a choice in the matter. There is nothing we can do anyway. Our scouters are still malfunctioning. We will go back to base to get new ones. Though, I find it strange? Earlier our scouters were working just fine. I wonder what caused them to malfunction?"

Nappa scratched his head a bit confused. "Don't know. Maybe Raditz didn't do a good enough job when he was updating our scouters."

Vegeta snorted. "Yes, that must be it. Honestly. Not only was he useless on the battlefield. But he also couldn't even do a simple job as fixing our scouters. The incompetent fool."

They both left the area. And Raditz soon heard three spaceship's blast off into space. The Saiyan sighed in relief. He made sure to wait a few moments before he took his new spaceship from his storage capsule. And not soon after. Raditz also left the planet. Far away from the reaches of Frieza and his fellow Saiyans. But where should he go? Maybe the south Galaxy? Or maybe the far reaches of the North? If he remembers correctly. His mother told him that they send his little brother to a planet called Earth. But…. Now that he thought about it. He never heard any news from Kakarot. Did he somehow failed his mission?

Raditz shrugged his shoulders. Oh well, it's not like he cared that much about his younger brother. But still, he was his only family that he had left. Maybe he should inspect this planet called Earth. Just to see if Kakarot was still alive.

"Mmm, he should be around 15 right now. He wonders if he had his grow spurt yet?"

If Kakarot was dead then he still could hide out on that planet. The inhabitants were weak though. So Raditz doubt that was the case. So, why did he never heard from Kakarot?

"This is so confusing. Oh well. Only one way to find out." Raditz began to type in the coordinates from Earth. "Two weeks huh? I hate long travel. Might as well go to sleep for awhile." Soon, Raditz's eyes began to close. And he fell into a deep sleep.

End Chapter one.
