Chapter 1: Meanies

Three-year-old Tracy Anderson read a Sleeping Beauty storybook aloud to Noah Puckerman for the fifteenth time in two weeks as she sat in a chair. No one else had come to see him since he was admitted to the hospital. Her parents would bring her to Noah's room while they went to see her grandfather, Burt, who tried to save Noah from being shot by his deadbeat father, Nick. Not even his sister, Sarah, whom he helped raise, would come to see him. Tracy was the only one who came to see him at all.

She would even tell him about her day at school and yell at Quinn on the phone for not coming to see Noah. Saying, "I'm the only one who comes to see Uncle Nono, Auntie Queenie! The only one, goddamn it! It's been two weeks, and I am the only one who comes to see Uncle Nono! I haven't seen Grandpa Burt yet, who will be going home soon! You are his fiancée, or you were, and I have the ring you left on his tray table! God! I am the only one who believes Uncle Nono will wake up!" Quinn didn't respond. She just ended the call as Tracy noticed Noah clenching his fists.

Then she heard Burt exclaim, "I can't believe all of you lied to me! You're Puck's friends, and Quinn came here just to break up with him!"

Kurt replied, "Dad, Puck isn't here. He's gone."

This caused Tracy to storm into the hall and yell, "That's nonsense, Dad! Uncle Nono is here, you jerk, and I'm his only friend! I love Uncle Nono enough to visit him and stand by him! You're all being mean, and if I have to go on the school bus, that ends here! I will continue visiting him because he needs to know someone cares! You all saw Grandpa Burt and Dad when they were sound asleep! Why don't you want to visit Uncle Nono?"

She turned to Quinn and said, "You told Dad to have faith when Grandpa Burt was in the hospital! Now, you don't believe that your boyfriend will wake up! I do, and I am not giving up on him ever." Then she returned to Noah's bedside as Burt followed her, glaring at the others as they left. Blaine stayed to take Tracy home when visiting hours were over.

Soon after Burt says this to Noah, he returns to his room. He tells him, "Sorry, Puck. If I had known they were coming to visit for the past two weeks, I would have demanded that they come here, too."

Burt continues, "I also know you bought my old shop. By the way, I resigned from Congress. Mick told me you do a better job of making sure the guys are doing their jobs. Tracy has Kurt and Blaine stop by there to make sure the guys are doing their jobs, too. Mick thinks she is like Kurt was when he was younger."

He looked at the storybook Tracy had left before saying, "Ha! I have some old Hulk comics at home that Tracy can read, too. Ha! Tracy calls you Uncle Hulk around the guys at the shop. Well, I have to head to my room before the nursing staff comes looking for me."

The next day, Tracy arrives after school, and then Burt enters a few minutes later while still on the phone, saying, "Yes, Tracy is here, Kurt. Carole is at Puck's house with Sarah. Sarah's ex-boyfriend wouldn't let her see Puck. Her car needed a tune-up, and her ex got his face rearranged. Look, son, I know Puck did some bad things, but Puck has made something of himself and isn't the same guy anymore."

Then Kurt said, "Dad, he's not there!"

Tracy takes Burt's phone and says, "He's there, Dad! Just like Nana Elizabeth was, and I believe he'll wake up! Grandpa did! Now, if you and the others love Nono, you would believe that, too. He's not my uncle; he's my heart. Just like everyone else is! Fuck you, Dad! I know that he's not like Princess Aurora. He is the Hulk, you asshole! He is the Hulk to me!" Then she ends the call and hands Burt his phone back.

She looked at Noah and said, "Nono, I know you are in there. Please show everyone you're in there, Noah! You are the Hulk, God damn it! Prove Daddy wrong! Please, wake up, Nono! I love you, Nono, and I don't want to lose my best friend!"

Soon, Tracy felt a hand on her head, and at first, she thought it was Burt's hand. Until she heard Burt say, "Welcome back, Uncle Hulk." Then she looked up to see Noah smiling at her.

He picked up her Sleeping Beauty book and glared at her before saying, "Really, Tracy? Why did you read this book to me?"

Tracy blushed before saying, "You were asleep like her, okay? Besides, if I had been asleep in that bed, either you or Grandpa would have read it."

She sticks her tongue out before Noah grabs her and tickles her, saying, "God, I love you, Squirt! You are my best friend too! You know, I heard you yelling at Aunt Quinn."

Tracy took a ring from her pocket and said, "I'm sorry, Nono."

Sarah said, "Me too, Puck."

Then she looked at Tracy and Burt before saying, "I left Jeff. I dumped him at the shop, and the guys gave him a new face."

Burt and Tracy came to pick up Noah after he was released and took him home. Sarah would have gone, but her ex put her in the hospital. Noah wasn't told until they got there; Tracy was the one who informed him. Of course, thanks to Dave Karofsky and the guys at the shop, Sarah's ex, Jeff Turner, was in a coma now, and his face was bashed in. When they arrived at Noah's house, Kurt and Blaine were there, but only to get Tracy.

Soon, Noah says to Blaine, "Look, man, I am Tracy's friend. You are her father, and she knows that! Plus, I am not trying to replace Beth, man! Beth is Shelby's daughter. I am tired of you being jealous of me! Tracy loves us both, man! This is messed up! You guys didn't have a problem with her hanging out with me before Mr. H and I got shot! She was at school when that happened and didn't get hurt! You know what? Go! Take her, but be prepared to face the consequences! I mean, she is her mother's daughter."

Then Noah heads inside as Kurt and Blaine leave with Tracy, who is crying. But not before Burt says, "Kurt, I'm disappointed in you, son. Puck saved my life. And all you have done is treat him like nothing! I will stay here with him because he may not be my son. But I love him like a son, just like I love you. Now, if you'll excuse me!"

Then Burt storms into the house as Carole says, "Ha, Puck and Burt are not father and son, but they are so much alike. Look, you two. Tracy is the best thing for Puck. By the way, Beth is the only biological child he will ever have. Just like Tracy was Rachel's only good egg; think about that, boys! And while you're at it, tell Quinn to grow up, and the same goes for you two!" She then kisses Tracy goodbye.

As Carole entered the house, she chuckled as she noticed Burt and Noah fuming, each of them clenching their fists. Then she said to Noah, "I can't believe they didn't come see you while you were in the hospital. It's not your fault that Burt almost died."

Noah has Burt, and Carole follows him to a door with two locks. He chuckles as he tells Burt, "I'm glad Kurt left now. He might freak out if he saw what I'm about to show you." Noah opens the door, and they see over thirty guns.

Noah grabbed a couple of rifles and handed one to Burt as he said, "A buddy of mine in the Navy got me into hunting before Tracy was born. I showed them to Quinn after I had proposed to her. Quinn almost gave me the ring back."

Noah tells Carole, "Mrs. H., I'm the one shooting blanks. Quinn can still have kids. She doesn't want to have a husband like Mr. H. If you post that on Facebook, you should caption it, 'Mr. H. and Mr. P.' and tag Quinn and Kurt in it."

She takes another picture of them in front of Noah's gun closet and says, "I already did, Puck; they're fighting in the comments. Santana's playing referee. I also took a second picture and sent it to Burt's phone."

Soon, Blaine calls Noah's phone. When he answers it, he hears Quinn say, "I didn't break off the engagement because I was afraid of Puck being like your dad, Kurt. I feared leaving him like your mother. Kurt, I have breast cancer. I found out the day his father shot yours. I told everyone I couldn't have children because I didn't want them to compare me to your mother. Puck's father knew because he saw me earlier that day. Jake's mother also has cancer. I bet Puck's father tried to kill Mr. H. because he blamed him for Jake's mother having cancer. Kurt, you are why I gave Puck the engagement ring back! I thought he would die first and I would end up alone! Besides, even if we got back together, we couldn't have another child! By the way, I'm not the one who can't have kids, Kurt! Puck is!"

Noah clears his throat and says, "We can still adopt or use a sperm donor, Quinn. Frankly, I want Blaine as the donor. That way, Tracy and Beth will have a biological connection." He clears his throat and asks, "What do you think, Babe?"

Then Tracy said, "Queenie, even though you aren't my mama, I love you like one."

Quinn breaks down and says, "Tracy, I was supposed to be your mama before you were born. Now, I might not live long enough to have another baby, even if your papa is the donor." Blaine soon ends the call, and Noah storms out of the house.

Burt finds him at Elizabeth Hummel's grave. Noah sits cross-legged with his guitar as Kurt and Blaine approach. As Noah plays his guitar, it begins to rain. Noah looks at Kurt as he plays "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" by Steve Wariner.

Noah breaks down before Burt and Blaine help him up. As they put Noah in his truck, Kurt offers to drive him home. However, Kurt doesn't take Noah home; he goes to McKinley High and parks in front of the dumpster.

He takes Finn's letterman jacket from his bag and says, "Mr. Schue gave this to Quinn when you were in a coma. She gave it to me the day before you woke up."

He looked at the dumpster and continued, "I come here on the anniversary of Finn's death every year. I don't know if you've heard what I told Tracy, but I'm sorry."

Noah sighs as he takes the letterman jacket, then asks, "Do you think Finn and your mom are watching over us, Kurt?"

Kurt jokes, "If Finn is watching you, he'll probably make YMCA jokes." Noah glares at Kurt before they see a group of boys carrying a transgender girl to the dumpster.

Noah stands in front of the dumpster and cracks his knuckles. He then says, "Why don't you guys put her down?" Noah soon sees Dave Karofsky, Sam Evans, and Coach Sheldon Beiste approaching. Just before the boys drop the girl and run away, she looks at them, wanting to say something, but remains silent and walks away.

Sam soon apologized to Noah for not being a better friend. Then Noah looked at Kurt and said, "It's okay, man. I'm sure Mr. H went days without visiting your mom." This made Kurt tear up a little, but he didn't say anything.

On the way home, Noah says, "I know Blaine told Tracy to come see me in the hospital that first day after our fight. I don't know what he said to her, but it made Tracy cry." Kurt doesn't reply, but Noah can tell he's crying.

When they returned to Noah's house, Quinn was outside yelling at Blaine, saying, "I can't believe you! Are you divorcing Kurt because he has cancer? I know lying about my cancer to Puck was wrong, but this is worse!"

Kurt grabbed Noah's arm before he could get out and said, "I'm the one who filed for divorce. That's why Blaine yelled at me, and Quinn found the papers before you woke up. She assumed Blaine filed because she didn't know I changed my last name when we got married."

Noah asked, "Is that why Blaine was the sperm donor? Were you afraid Tracy might get cancer too?" Kurt broke down and nodded his head. He tried to speak but couldn't.

Noah helps Kurt into the house and then drags Quinn and Blaine inside. He then yells, "Enough! We all must be strong for Tracy."

He hits Blaine upside the head and yells, "Kurt doesn't want the divorce, but he fears losing you like he lost his mom! Instead of yelling at him, you should have canceled the divorce before anyone found out!"

He points at Burt and Carole as they run inside. Then he continues, "Carole lost a husband and son to suicide! She almost lost Burt to a stroke and is about to lose Kurt to cancer! Your parents have been deadbeat grandparents since COVID-19 hit! You have more to worry about than a goddamn divorce! Tracy might grow up with no memory of Kurt! Kurt was six when his mom died, and he had memories of visiting her in the hospital! I can't believe you let her visit me!"

Kurt chuckles and says, "She wanted to see you, Puck. She was mad at all of us for not coming to see you. Do you not remember her yelling at me the day you woke up?"

Noah chuckles and says, "You would have loved to hear her read Sleeping Beauty to you. I can't believe you let her get away with cursing you out."

Quinn says, "Norah lets you get away with more than everyone else did, and everybody here calls Tracy 'She-Puck.' Beth called her that before Rachel reminded her that she's your daughter."

Noah stormed off to Tracy's room while she yelled, "Fuck you, meanies!" He slammed the door behind him before he and Tracy were heard roaring in unison.

Chapter 2 will be up soon, hopefully.
