Their wedding was everything Cat had ever dreamed of. Or maybe, more accurately, it was everything she didn't know she needed—beautiful, serene, and just enough of a reflection of them both without trying too hard. It had all come together so perfectly, despite the whirlwind of emotions, planning, and creativity that had gone into it. This was their day, and they were going to make it as personal as possible.

Cat's eyes wandered over the venue, admiring the old, grand church. It wasn't just any venue; it was special. A place where the past and present coexisted in perfect harmony. The church was a stunning example of gothic architecture, with towering stone arches, intricate stained-glass windows that glowed in the afternoon light, and high, vaulted ceilings that seemed to stretch into infinity. But as gorgeous as it was, there was something else—something that made it feel even more alive. The building was wrapped in lush, living plants that wove their way through every crack and crevice. Ivy crawled up the stone walls, and delicate flowers peeked out of every corner, adding a soft contrast to the sharp, dark stone. It was an unusual mix, but it was perfect. Just like the two of them.

Jade had fallen in love with it the moment she'd stepped inside. It wasn't too grand or too imposing; it had an undeniable beauty, but one that wasn't overwhelming. It felt intimate, like it was holding onto something sacred—just as their love had always felt. It felt like the kind of place where promises made would be cherished, where vows could last forever.

Cat had wanted the whole day to reflect who they were together—different, unique, but undeniably in love. And the dresses, of course, would be the centerpiece of it all. She had spent months designing them, something she'd never expected something would be this important to her. She'd always loved clothes, but this—this was on a whole other level. She wanted to wear something that was just as timeless as the love they shared, but also something that captured both her boldness and her tenderness.

The first dress, the one she would wear when she walked down the aisle, was everything Cat had hoped for. It was a long, flowing gown made from layers upon layers of silk. The top half was delicate and soft, with lace that extended up her arms in intricate designs, almost like tattoos of floral patterns. The back was open in a way that was unexpected, but still refined—bare shoulders, with a deep, sweeping V that gave way to the flowing skirt. The fabric cascaded behind her like a waterfall, the smooth silk shining under the soft light of the church, and the skirt was embroidered with small crystals and pearls that caught the light, creating an almost ethereal glow.

Cat had wanted something that felt both feminine and powerful, and the dress managed to do just that. It was classic, but with a twist, something she could picture herself wearing forever. It was undeniably her—bold, yet full of grace.

For Jade, the second dress was equally breathtaking. Cat had designed it for her with the same attention to detail and care. The dress was a deep midnight blue, with a fitted bodice that flared out into a dramatic skirt that trailed slightly behind her as she walked. The fabric was a deep velvet that shimmered in the light, giving it an almost royal air, yet the fit was simple and elegant. The bodice was adorned with small, sparkling beads, following the shape of the dress and adding just the right amount of glimmer to contrast with the deep, rich color. The sleeves were long and fitted, with small lace details at the wrists, and the whole look had a kind of old-world charm, while still being modern enough for Jade's own unique style.

Cat had wanted Jade to look as breathtaking as she was, to make her feel like royalty, even though she'd always been so much more than that to Cat. It was the perfect dress for her—elegant but understated, capturing everything that Jade was to her in one flowing piece.

The whole design process had been a labour of love. There were countless fittings and late-night sketches, but through it all, it felt like they were creating something truly special. Something that represented the two of them, their past, their present, and the future they were about to build together.

On the day of the wedding, everything fell into place. Jade had insisted on keeping it small—just the people who mattered most to them both. There was no elaborate guest list, no extravagant wedding party. It was just their family, their closest friends, and their love. Tori, Andre, Beck, and Robbie were there, of course, as well as Cat's parents, and Jade's Dad and new Step-Mom and a few of their family members. And then there was Sienna, who looked absolutely adorable as the flower girl, her tiny hands holding the petals delicately as she walked down the aisle, a bright smile on her face as she scattered flowers for her two favorite people.

The ceremony was intimate. There was no big orchestra or choir, no endless speeches or over-the-top performances. Just the two of them standing there, exchanging vows that had taken months to craft, but that had come from the deepest places of their hearts. The simplicity of it all was perfect.

When Jade saw Cat standing at the front of the church, waiting for her, her breath caught in her throat. She looked beautiful, radiant, like she was glowing. But beyond that, it was the way she looked at Jade that made her heart skip a beat. Cat's eyes were full of love, warmth, and something else—something more than just love. Something deeper, more grounding. Jade felt like the entire world had paused for that moment, just for them.

Cat had insisted that she write her own vows. She didn't want anything too rehearsed, too perfect. She wanted it to be real. So, when it was time for her to speak, she smiled softly at Jade and spoke from the heart.

"I promise to love you through all the highs and the lows, through every challenge, every laugh, every tear. I promise to keep writing songs for you, even if you're the only one who hears them. I promise to be your partner, your best friend, your lover. You are my home, and I'm never going anywhere. Seriously, you're stuck with me now. I love you, always."

Jade felt her throat tighten, her heart bursting with love for the woman standing in front of her. She didn't even know how to respond, so she simply took Cat's hands in hers and said the words that felt most right to her.

"I promise to love you fiercely and fully, even when you drive me insane. I promise to support you, whether you're conquering the world or binge-watching reality TV in pyjamas. I promise to be honest, even when it's hard, and to keep laughing with you even when life throws us curveballs. And I promise that no matter how old or cranky we get, I'll still love you more than words can say. I can't wait to spend forever with you. You're stuck with me too."

The vows were short, but they were everything. And as they sealed their promises with a kiss, Jade couldn't help but feel like they were beginning a new chapter in their life. A chapter that would be theirs alone, filled with love, music, and the fulfilled understanding they had built together over the years.

After the ceremony, everyone moved to a small reception just outside the church, where a table had been set up under a canopy of twinkling lights. It was understated but beautiful. The food was catered by a small, local restaurant that was known for its fresh ingredients and simple, elegant presentation. And the drinks flowed freely as people laughed, shared stories, and celebrated the newlyweds.

Andre's best man speech was short, heartfelt, and full of humour. He had always been the easy-going one, but standing in front of everyone with a glass of champagne in hand, he couldn't help but get a little emotional. "I've seen you two go through everything together," he said, nodding toward Cat and Jade. "From the moment Cat dragged you across the playground in Kindergarten, beaming to me that she'd made a new friend, I knew the three of us would be tight. Even when Jade promptly ran away screaming moment later. Through every up, the down, and all the chaos in between since then, you've had each other's backs. I've never seen two people more meant for each other; and yet so opposite. So, here's to love, to the future, and to the two of you making this world a better place together." He raised his glass with a grin, "And if anyone knows how to make an event unforgettable, it's definitely these two!" Everyone laughed, and the moment felt as perfect as the couple itself.

Cat looked over at Jade with a soft smile, her hand still resting in hers, and Jade returned the smile, feeling like she was exactly where she was meant to be. This was their day, their love, and nothing else mattered.

When the night was winding down, and people started saying their goodbyes, Cat pulled Jade into a quiet corner, away from the noise. "So," Cat said, her voice soft, "how does it feel to be my wife?"

Jade paused, looking down at the gemstone on her hand. "Well, I guess the ring is nice," she joked, promptly receiving a playful whack from Cat.

"You're impossible." Cat laughed, knowing her wife well enough to know the love behind those words.

"And you're legally bound to me now. Forever." Jade laughed.

"That bind works both ways." Cat replied, leaning in and capturing her wife's lips in her own. "I love you." She whispered as they pulled away.

"I love you too."
