It's Even Better Than A Drama

Chocho opened a new bag of chips. It was a new flavor that had just been come onto the market and she wanted to taste it before afternoon classes resumed. She and Sarada entered the academy building to go to their classroom. They had eaten lunch in the schoolyard, wanting to enjoy the last few days of good weather.

Usually, they talked about the new idol group or the new romance drama that Chocho had discovered or Sarada's vocation to become Hokage. Ever since she had discovered what her friend was destined for, Chocho had supported her with all her strength. She knew she would succeed and that she would be a great Hokage. Not as much as the seventh. No one could surpass the seventh. But today, the conversation revolved around Boruto. Well, it was mostly Sarada who was talking. She was so annoyed with him that Chocho had not been able to say a word.

It had started in the morning when they arrived at the academy. One of Boruto's prank had gone wrong, ruining an inauguration his father was attending. He had hidden so he would not be caught by Shikamaru and he had asked Sarada to cover for him. After a long hesitation, she had finally agreed.

"He's getting on my nerves ! Because of him, I had to lie to Shikamaru. And as if that wasn't enough, I had to lie to the Hokage. Can you believe it ? To the Hokage ! What will he think of me ?"

Chocho burst out laughing, unable to restrain herself any longer.

"That's not funny !" Sarada exclaimed. "I wanted to become his disciple. But because of his idiot son, it's over !"

Chocho stopped laughing, but she continued to smile. Sarada really did not realize anything.

"Sorry," Chocho said. "It's just that you've been complaining about Boruto for almost an hour."

"I'm not..."

Sarada stopped talking, realizing that she had indeed spent her lunch break talking about Boruto.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to bother you with that."

"It doesn't bother me. But you're talking about Boruto a lot."

She grinned from ear to ear.

"You know that in most of the dramas I watch, before they fall in love, the two heroes can't stand each other."

Sarada was about to protest violently when someone shouted :

"Watch out !"

She had barely turned around when she felt someone run into her. She and the person fell to the ground. She was out of breath because of the shock and the weight of this person. She opened her eyes and saw Boruto on top of her. She gasped in surprise and pushed him away violently. She straightened up and she saw Boruto wincing in pain. She may have put a little too much strength into pushing him away, but there was no way she would apologize.

"Idiot !" She exclaimed.

"You're the one who didn't pay attention !"

"You bumped into me !"

She stood up, cursing Boruto. She headed for the classroom, followed by Chocho who could not stop laughing.

"Stop laughing Chocho !"

Sarada blushed as she thought about what her friend had told her earlier. Chocho tried to stopped laughing, but it was impossible. It was even better than watching a drama and she could not wait to see how Boruto and Sarada's relationship would evolve.
