Diary of a Newborn

(Vampires & Zombies –

Diary of a Newborn)

Most vampires who get turned are in their mid-20ies or mid-30ies. Rarely they are in their 40ies. I have just turned 40, when I had been turned into a vampire. But I look like I am in my early 30ies. I have been fascinated by vampire for my whole life. Actually, all mythological creatures, who can not die a natural death. Often, I imagined, what it would be like, being transformed in one of them. Would I prefer, becoming a werewolf – wild and animalistic, surrendered to m inner drives; or would I prefer being turned into a vampire – lusting for the blood of humans around me, but civilized and cultivated, but being a prisoner of the night.

With the change of depiction of vampires, also my own picture of vampires had changed, too and since ''Vampire Diaries'' vampires were able to go out in the sun at broad daylightv, with a little help of certain objects and ''Twilight'' and put the traditional vampire image to an end. Now, even for me, vampires weren't threatened by the sun anymore, but it was just the object of revelation, that vampires are different.

Thanks to my very vivid fantasy, I had no problems, integrating vampires and werewolves in my daily life and very well imagine my life as a vampire and develop my true vampire more and more and give it more depths. Thus I got inspired by ''True Blood'' that the vampire's teeth sometimes can reveal, what he/she/they feel.

As for me, a vampire can slowly grow out the teeth by will, as it has been often seen when vampires get her teeth out. Or the teeth can – as seen in ''True Blood'' – spring out. Especially, when the vampire gets turned on or smells very delicious and tempting blood and looses control for the blink of an eye. I imagine it to be an moment of embarrassment for vampires. Combined with a second form of unwanted reaction of the body, I liked very much in ''Vampire Diaries'': the change of the eyes; the true vampire face. The red eyeball (sclera) and the black veins beneath the eye.

Who could have imagined, m real vampire would be so close to reality!

Neither did I have an idea of, that vampires had a much more important duty in the fight for the survival of humanity and how right the new Zombie-movies are!
