-CHAPTER ONE-
A Golden Bite
The year was 1983, and David was turning 12 years old in six days. He was excited, but his older brother, Michael, always killed the mood with that stupid fox mask he keeps scaring him with. David was beginning to get nightmares from his brother's relentless bullying. He even tore off his Foxy plush's head. David could hear his mother's voice call him from downstairs.
"David! Breakfast is ready! It's your favorite!" She shouted, awaiting his arrival. After grabbing his Fredbear plushie, which was gifted to him by his father last year, he ran out of his room, running down the stairs and almost tripping. When he arrived in the kitchen, he was hit by the smell of chocolate chip waffles. He sat down at the kitchen table next to his little sister, Elizabeth. She was around eight, and had long, ginger hair. Her attire usually consists of a pink shirt with shoulder pads and black buttons, a blue, knee-low skirt, white leggings, black shoes, and a red bow in her hair.
"Why do you bring that plushie everywhere?" Elizabeth asked.
"B-because it's special to me..?" David answered.
"But you hate that robot! You told me it gave you nightmares the last time you visited the diner!"
"Shut up Elizabeth! I'm not 'afraid'.. It's just.. forget it." David said, turning away from Elizabeth. He began to eat his waffle, ignoring any further questions his little sister had. Mike sat across from David, his foxy mask on the table next to him. Their father was no where to be seen, probably working on blueprints for the four new characters, Foxy being one of them, that they were going to add to the diner. Their father was never around anymore, and when he was, he either ignored them or shoo'ed them away.
"Where's Daddy?" Elizabeth asked, looking around.
Their mother responded, looking disappointed,"He's.. busy. He'll be back soon. "
Elizabeth looked annoyed. "He's always busy! It's not fair that he spends more time with Uncle Henry than us!"
Their mother sighed, looking At Elizabeth. "I know, he spends so much time with him you'd think he's in love with him!"
Mike suddenly yelled,"MOM!"
"What? I'm only joking! You know that."
"Doesn't make it any less weird.."
David looked around, not saying a word. He finished his waffle quickly, putting the plate in the sink and going back to his room. Halfway out of the kitchen though, his mother stopped him.
"Ah, Ah, Ah, David! Just because your birthday is in a week doesn't mean you don't have to clean up after yourself! Wash your plate."
David groaned, walking back to the sink to wash his plate. Elizabeth stuck her tongue out at him before getting up and leaving.
Five Days Before the Party.
David had woken up in his room. He got up, walking over to his plushies. There were five, one being his Fredbear plushie that he usually always had on him, the others being Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. He walked up to his door, getting ready to open it until.. he realized it was blocked from the outside. He beat on the door, begging to be let out.
"Mike?! Come on, that's not funny! Let me out!"
He continued to beg, eventually giving up. He sat on the ground, feeling tears run down his face. He cried and cried until he just fell back alseep, hoping he'd be let out when he woke up.
When he did wake up, he was in an unfamiliar place. It looked like home, but the layout was different. He looked around. He was in a bedroom. There were two doors on either side of the room, and behind him was a bed with a Freddy plush sitting on it. In front of him was a closet with clothing inside. The clothing was not any of his that he recognized. He noticed a flashlight on the dresser beside the bed, and he went to grab it, turning it on and shining it around the room. He walked over to the right door, shining the flashlight into the corridor outside. He noticed a Chica plush on the table outside of the room.
He rushed to the other door, shining the light and seeing a bonnie plush beside a grandfather clock in the hallway. "Where even am I..?" He asked himself. It's not like he knew the answer. Suddenly, he heard screeching coming from the bed. He turned around, looking terrified as he noticed two nightmarish apparitions of Freddy.. but small. They crawled under the bed when they were noticed. David could've sworn he heard footsteps coming from the hallway he was standing in. He shined the light down the hall, getting a glimpse of what looked like a nightmarish version of Bonnie. He began to understand why there were plushies in the halls and on the bed. He walked over to the closet, shining the light inside. For some reason, there wasn't a plush inside. He walked back to the bed, trying to stay awake. He noticed an alarm clock on the nightstand. It was already 3:59 AM.
He kept repeating the same actions over and over again until he heard the alarm clock go off. He fainted on the bed, falling asleep.
Four Days Until The Party.
David woke back up in his room. He grabbed his Fredbear plush, thinking it was probably just a dream. He suddenly heard a voice..
"He's hiding again. He won't stop until you find him."
David glanced down at his Fredbear plushie. That voice had to have come from him.
"D-did you just.. talk?"
No response. David shook his head, continuing to walk out of his room. He walked into the living room, going to grab the remote to put on Fredbear & Friends, a show his dad hired a cheap animation studio to create. The show itself wasn't very good, but Henry and William had to advertise Fredbear's Family Diner somehow. As David went to grab the remote, Michael jumped out at him with his foxy mask on, causing David to fall on his ass and start crying.
"BOO!"
David looked up at Michael, shielding himself as he cried. Michael laughed at him, taking off the foxy mask.
"Wow, really? You're such a crybaby!" He cackled, looking down at David with a grin. David tried to get up, but Mike pushed him back down before walking away.
"So mean.." David said, sobbing softly. He got back up, grabbing his Fredbear plush.
That night, David crawled into his bed, getting ready to sleep. Soon he woke up in the same room as before. Now knowing what to do, he got up, grabbing the flashlight and walking to the left door. This time, however, he heard breathing. Instead of shining the light, he held the door shut, eventually hearing heavy footsteps going down the hallway. He opened the door again, shining the light.
Nothing.
He heard screeching again, looking back at the bed. The mini Freddys crawled back under the bed, one looking back at David and growling at him like a rabid animal. David looked back at the clock, it was 2:28 AM. David suddenly heard running.. and then a creak. He shined the light in the direction of the noise, noticing the closet was open slightly. He slowly walked over to it, opening it more. He shined the light inside and-
RAHH!
David jumped back, tears filling his eyes. Foxy was in the closet, and he was a lot more.. toothy than he remembered. He held the closet shut, pushing his back against it. A few moments later, he opened it back up, his hand shaking slightly.. he shined the light inside the closet. In place of the nightmare robot was a plush version of Foxy. It definitely wasn't his because it's head wasn't torn off, but he suspected something was off. For now, however, he left the plushie there, going back to the bed. Once again, like last night, he kept repeating the same actions, checking the doors, the bed, and the closet until he couldn't keep himself awake anymore.
He was back in his bed.
Three Days Until The Party.
Mike had took David to Fredbear's, which David.. honestly hated. David had seen the shadows of the two animatronics, Fredbear and SpringBonnie, and he got scared because of it. He was significantly more jumpy than he was only three days ago. David hid under a table with his Fredbear plush. He knew Mike would try to pull something off.
"Hurry up. You need to leave."
David looked down at his Fredbear plush. It had just spoke.. again. He agreed, not even questioning why his plushie was talking. He tried walking to the exit, but he was stopped by a performer in a Fredbear suit. David wasn't aware it was a suit, however, and quickly ran the other way. David stopped in his tracks when he saw the shadows of Fredbear and SpringBonnie again, beginning to cry..
That night, he fell asleep, waking up in a familiar place. It was starting to get repetitive and annoying at this point. Foxy was already in the closet. David quickly ran towards the closet to close it, putting his back against it. After a few seconds, he let it open and shined his light in. Only the plush was there. He snuck towards the right door, shining his light. He saw a glimpse of Chica, who was holding her cupcake.. which was the size of David's head. David sped his way towards the left door, closing it when he heard breathing. He kept going from the closet to the two other doors, failing the check the bed. By the time he checked behind him, it was too late. Instead of seeing three Freddles, he saw a 7 foot tall nightmarish version of Freddy standing over him.
David stood in fear, not knowing what to do. He stared into Freddy's eyes, unmoving. David finally snapped back to reality and started to move, but Freddy had grabbed him before he could run. David squirmed violently, screaming.
"W-WAIT! PLEASE! I-I DON'T WANT TO DIE! NO!"
Freddy suddenly slammed David onto the ground, which knocked him out instantly.
He was right back in his bed.
Two Days Until The Party.
David woke up, feeling sore. Was it just a dream? No, that felt too real.. he reached his hand up to his head, rubbing his temple. He hissed in pain.. that was real.
Mike was in charge again. He took David back to Fredbear's again. He left him there.. AGAIN. He hates him, and David knew it. This time, he didn't hesitate to run for the exit, running outside and running into one of the neighborhood kids.
There was a kid in a green shirt holding a SpringBonnie doll, which had joints like the real animatronic.
"My daddy says I have to be careful with him or I will pinch my finger," the kid said,"He is a finger trap, he says!"
"..I don't really care."
"Oh."
David continued to walk to his house, running into a girl who had orange hair tied into pigtails. She wore an orange shirt and a red skirt.
"You better watch out for the animatronics.. I hear they come to life at night.. and if you die, they hide your body and NEVER TELL ANYONE!" The girl said, giggling.
David was not as amused. In fact, he looked fearful.
"Why do you look so worried? See you at the party, loser! HA HA HA!"
David rushed away from her. Eventually he bumped into someone else, one of Mike's friends.
"Aren't you the kid who hides under the tables and cries? No one else is scared, why are you? Stop being such a baby!" The boy cackled, laughing at David, who was slowly walking away from him.
David ran into a kid holding a balloon, who was giggling at him. "Are you going to the party?" He said,"Oh right, you HAVE to go! It's YOUR birthday! Haha!"
David's party was being held at Fredbear's Family Diner, and was planned out by his father. He hated Fredbear's, especially after what that pigtail girl had just told him about the robots. David just kept walking, trying to ignore the other kids.
David soon made it home, immediately going to his room. He walked in, closing the door behind him. He walked closer to the bed..
"BOO!"
Michael had scared him.. AGAIN. David fell back and began crying when he hit the floor. Michael laughed at him, relishing in his tears.
That night, David woke up in a hallway with four rooms connected to it, two on either side. He had the flashlight next to him. He grabbed it, shining it down the hallway. At the end, there was a small, green, and slightly scarier version of SpringBonnie that was sitting on a white chair. He aimed the flashlight away for a second, and when he looked back it had moved closer, now on the floor. David noticed a white X on the floor in front of him. 'Maybe I have to get it onto the X?' He thought. He turned off the light, letting it get closer. When he turned it back on, it Ninja-rolled into one of the side rooms. David groaned. He turned off the light again, and Plushtrap got closer to him. He turned on the light again, Plushtrap just mere inches from the X.. he turned off the light again for two seconds before turning it back on, and Plushtrap was perfectly placed onto the X. David felt a needle in his neck, and then he fell asleep.
When he awoke, he was right back in the original room. The time was 2:00 AM. He must've got to skip two hours. The same things from previous nights happened. Nothing really changed much.
One Day Until The Party.
Today, Mike had locked David in the parts & service room at Fredbear's, a headless Fredbear suit sitting on the floor, and a few spare SpringBonnie heads displayed on the shelfs. This was terrifying for him.. he beat on the door, begging to be let out.
"MIKE! SERIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT FUNNY! MIKE! LET ME OUT!"
David screamed until he couldn't anymore. Eventually, his father found him and let him out, telling him to go home.
That night.. that night was different. None of the animatronics were active. Not a single one. David looked around, feeling an overwhelming sense of dread in his stomach before he heard a deep, rumbling laugh come from the right door. He immediately rushed over to the door, shining the light. Stood in the hallway was a nightmarish version of Fredbear with.. stomach teeth?! Gross! David didn't have to time to get a closer look though, because Fredbear was getting closer rapidly. He shut the door, waiting for Fredbear to leave. He heard his laugh from the closet, and immediately rushed over. He shined the light in the closet, covering his ears when he heard an ear-piercing ring. He shut the door, putting his back against it. He shined the light at the bed, where he saw Fredbear's head. It disappeared in a few seconds before his laugh echoed from the left door. This cycle repeated until David couldn't stay awake any longer.
Zero Days Until The Party.
There were quite a lot of people at Fredbear's today, probably there for the party. None of them actually cared about David, they just wanted pizza. David was minding his own business, eating his own pizza. His father walked up to him, putting his hand on his shoulder. David jumped.
"Are you enjoying the party, David? There's so much people here! I honestly didn't think you had any friends.. I-I mean-" His father said.
"I do have friends!" David lied.
"Uh-huh... Oh, I have to do some paperwork.. uh, I'll be watching the party on the cameras. Happy birthday." William said, giving David a gift. David reached to open it, but William slapped his hand away softly. "Nuh uh. Not yet. Wait until your mother gets here."
David nodded, looking up at William, smiling. William pat his head before going to the office. David continued to eat his pizza, not noticing Mike and his friends sneak up behind him.
"Hey crybaby."
David jumped, dropping his pizza. He looked disappointed, looking behind him.
"What do you want MichaaaeellAH!"
David backed away, noticing his three other friends all wearing masks. Mark wore a Chica mask, Cameron wore a Freddy mask, Jeremy wore a bonnie mask, and Mike, of course, wore a Foxy mask.
They all looked at each other, as if they were communicating telepathically.
Michael suddenly suggested,"You know, guys, how about we give crybaby a surprise? He'd love it.." He suddenly grabbed David's arm, pulling him closer to the animatronics on stage. David managed to get out of Michael's grasp, but Jeremy suddenly grabbed him too.
"M-MIKE! PLEASE, NO! LET ME GO!"
"What's that? Oh? I think he says he wants to get even closer!" Mike teased, him and his friends laughing as they pulled him closer to Fredbear and SpringBonnie. They stopped right in front of Fredbear.
"LET ME GO, MICHAEL! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" David screamed, kicking and squirming.
"I think the little man says he wants to give Fredbear a big kiss!" Mike said as his friends grabbed David, lifting him up slightly. Cameron whispered to David,"For the record, I was against this."
Mike spoke again,"Ready? One, Two, Three!" They lifted David up, forcing his head into Fredbear's mouth. David could hear his father's angry yelling.
"MICHAEL! GET HIM DOWN FROM THERE NOW!"
David squirmed and kicked, screaming and crying, begging to be put down from Fredbear until-
CRUNCH.
William stopped in his tracks, looking at the sight in front of him. David's head had been crushed by Fredbear's jaw, his mind, quite literally, shattering. His brains and blood painted Fredbear's face, and his body was limp. Mike looked back, realizing what he had just done. He pulled David out of Fredbear's mouth, holding him in his arms.
"David?! Come on.. wake up. Please.. I'm sorry.."
The screams from now traumatized children could be heard, and Elizabeth was standing a few feet away alongside their mother.
"What have you done?"
