Also note two things one we are going to pretend the border at camp half blood wasn't made because of Thalias death but because it was a smart idea or something to protect the half bloods. And two Percy may seem REALLY mature for a 7 year old lol but honestly I'm struggling making him see like a kid. One he's lived with Hades for his whole life for Hades sake learning about everything since he was 4 and second. I can't base it off my life and how I acted which has helped me develop character traits for certain ages because had to mature at an early age. So like I think he has a right to be really mature mainly cause of the first lol. However if you don't like it just say something I'll try to change it, just might take some time.

Percy POV

It doesn't really matter what their names are, I could not care less I need to ensure Beth is safe. I looked back at Beth realizing she was fine maybe a little startled but no scratches. However, I don't trust them; they tried to attack us without any real reason, but even if I move past that I still don't think they had agoodreason. Plus, the guy Luke seems shady and is putting me on edge. Either way, I just need to find out their motives and hopefully not get into a scuffle.

"Luke you say, well for starters why did you attack us? I am sure you had a reason and maybe it was a good reason for you but in my perspective it seems like you've attacked us for no reason and put not only me but my friend in danger as well". I asked giving them a cold stare.

"Well to begin we were not sure what was going on near by, we heard talking and we were curious on the source. We'be been in the forest for a little while and let's just say it hasn't been the most pleasant so we're practically always on high alert. When we approach you we thought you were something, a cy- I mean we mistook you for wild animals. I am sorry, it's just like I said we do have not had the best experience with the forest especially theanimals. He said.

I don't know why but I have a feeling this is not the complete truth. He was going to say a word before that but he ended up stopping as if saying that word would cause repercussions or something like that. Either way, he's hiding something and I want to know. No I need to know for safety purposes of course. To know whether these two people are good or bad.

"Interesting you say you've been in the forest for a while you know for two non adults the forest may not be the best place to live. I know this may seem hypocritical coming from a young kid in the forest but hey I'm just really mature. Also no offense, but that does not seem very convincing you were gonna say something else, I expect you to be honest no offense but you're not really in any position to argue". I said pointing to their weapons that were sprawled on the floor about 10 feet away.

Giving me a blank stare look responded, "Look kid we have our reasons and sure you disarmed us but trust me you won't beat us that easily you just caught us off guard".

"Plus you would not believe me even if I told you, you would look at us as if we were some kind of delusional children who do not know the difference between reality and mythological". He finally answered.

"Hm if that's what you think but I doubt you'll tell me anything that will raise suspicion. Anyways I'm sure even if you could tell me something I don't know I am sure I can take it, So go ahead shoot".

"Well we thought you were umm..." Luke hesitated or he just seemed to be at a loss for words.

"We thought you were cyclops." The girl Thalia said, "I know you won't believe us because why would you it sounds totally crazy but it's true we've encountered cyclops before and especially around here and lets just say the encounters were not the most pleasant". She shivered at the end. Luke visibly flinched when she said that they seen monsters.

"See that wasn't that hard was it?" I responded in joking manner, yet still giving them a cold glare. They looked extremely confused, I mean I would to if I told someone I thought that was humans that I've encountered cyclops a mythical creature from mythologies.

"You, you believe us?" Thalia asked.

"Of course why wouldn't I believe you? You're a demigod".

I winced when I heard what I said. I sounded really creepy no wonder this immediately set them off. Their instincts took hold of them and they immediately backed away and pulled out what I'm guessing were small knifes or daggers that they must have had hidden. Man next time I'm doing some things like this I got to check for hidden weapons I told myself.

Either way this was my intended reaction. Well kind of maybe not to the extent of another fight but I love scaring other people. I guess I get it from my dad even though he says he doesn't purposely scare people. Let me tell you that's the biggest joke I've ever heard. Thoughts aside this should be fun quick but fun.

"How do you knew where demigods? And how do you even know what they are?" Thalia asked very hesitantly keep her guard up. Luke also seemed on guard as if something dangerous was going to happen. I'm guessing they've been dealing with monsters so they're probably thinking that we are monsters too or something of the sorts.

"Well for starters would you please put your weapons away. If you don't want to I can always disarm you again, anyways it's because well guess what you're not the only ones. Me and Beth here are demigods as well". I'm a little surprised at my self for saying that revealing that we are demigods as well as trying to resolve this with peace I love a good fight. The fact that we are demigods at least for a little longer should most likely have remained a secret but I guess it's already out honestly it probably is for the best less secrets so hopefully gives them push to trust us.

They seemed to relax a bit but not by much weapons still gripped tightly. I guess it'll take time to gain their trust. I'm not sure if it's even worth the effort to keep their trust but I am sure it will come in handy eventually having allies in the future is always a positive thing never hurt anyone, well unless I get betrayed but either way that's fine.

"Well if you're demigods why are you out here? You said it yourself it's not the safest place to be", Luke asked.

This guy Luke he is very cunning. Using my own words against me and to question me none the less. He also seems to be somewhat knowledgeable that he is a demigod. In the short conversation I've noticed that he is the complete opposite of Thalia. Thalia rather seems energetic, do first think second and rather somewhat emotional type of person while Luke seems to be think before do.

"To be truthful it's really non of your business, you did not tell us the truth before so why should I be inclined to tell you our reasons? All you need to know is that we come in peace, and we are just trying to go somewhere".

"Where are you trying to go? Is it a place for demigods we need to go somewhere that is a safe place for demigods so it might be the same place?" The girl, Thalia said.

After Thalia said this though I could clearly see Luke make a look of uncertainty or something similar. He clearly did not want us to know that and for safe reason maybe it was supposed to be a secret or that we just have not told them anything.

I think I can trust them they have not showed me any reason not too outside of attacking me but to be fair they did not know who or what we were. Also Thalia seems very how can I say this outgoing and seems to be a trustworthy person? Which is both good and bad, sometimes you should not just give your trust to just anyone as my Dad loves to tell me. Either way though as long as Beth's safe. I can get myself out of any trouble if need be but she does not have the luxury. We have also gotten really close and I do not want to lose her or put her in harms way.

"Well I guess our goals align because Beth and I are trying to find a camp for Demigods, it is called Camp Half Blood it is located in I believe New York". I'm sharing this information hoping that they trust us now, or that this gives them a bit more information on us. Not trying to make any enemies or cause trust issues within our so called "group".

"Oh, well that is also where we are going..." Luke said in a sad tone? I'm not sure it is hard to read this guy. He seems to know about the camp? Does he know about the gods than? I wonder what else he might know.

"Well Luke, Thalia my name is Percy, this is Annabeth . As I said before we are both demigods trying to find camp Half-Blood. We have been on a journey for a few weeks now trying to find the camp."

"Well it is good to have more companions". Luke finished.

2 Weeks Later
Annabeth's POV

It's been about two weeks since we met Luke and Thalia, we're even almost at the camp. Luke and Thalia have been a great welcome to our little group. Now that they've joined us it seems a bit more lively not Rhys I didn't like it before but specifically Thalia. She brings this certain energy to her that somehow always gets you going. Luke for the most part has been kind he keeps a lot to himself but seems to slowly open up as each day goes on. He also has began to smile more and laugh with us.

They seem like really nice people and Thalia she treats me like a little sister. I never got treated like this before at myhome. Once my Dad married Helen I could tell something changed even at my young age I just felt different. Since that day he's taken less time with me, I still believes he loves me but this feeling with my friends is different maybe it's the feeling of being loved?

Anyways, traveling with Percy never gets boring it seems like we are always doing something training, hunting, cooking and more. Percy has taken it upon himself to teach me everything about being a demigod. I learned more about all sorts of monster,scent, the mist, I learned how to hunt animals for food and then cook them. Everything has been great however one thing stands above them all our weapon training. Every time I pick up my daggers I feel connected to Percy and I feel connected to myself like nothing can hurt me. I've learned a lot.

While me and Percy were training I was a bit distracted. I've had a few questions I wanted to ask Percy about what he would do and what would happen when we find the camp. Would he leave me? Would he pretend like I don't exist?

"Hey Percy I have a few questions I want to ask you if that's okay. They've been on mind for some time now and I really want to know"

"Go ahead Annabeth ask away you know I don't have to hide anything from you". He replied calmly

"Percy when we get to camp Half Blood what's going to happen to you are you going to leave? Percy please don't leave I don't want you to yet we've only been friends for a few weeks but still you're close to me I don't want to lose you like I lost..." I never finished.

I could feel my tears on the brim of my eyelids. Within seconds I felt they come down, with that I just started crying. I couldn't take it can't lose Percy like I lost my Dad. As I cried I felt a pair of warm arms around me looking up I saw it was Percy. He was giving me a hug.

"Beth I'm not sure what's going to happen but I can promise you that I won't leave you". He whispered softly.

Before I could say anything we heard large footsteps coming our way. As the creature walked I could feel the ground shake a bit. As the loud footsteps got closer Percy grabbed his weapon. Thalia and Luke were still in the main area of camp hopefully they heard or felt the shaking and make their way to us.

Before I knew it I saw bright yellow eyes from the bushes, it seemed to be looking throw my soul. As the monster emerged it was tall and brown. It had eyes the color of maple and they could pierce your soul. With fur that was as thick iron and his horns sharp as a razor. Only one monster could fit his description Percy told me about him, Pasiphaë's son. Of course at the worst timing it also started to rain cliché right sad tone added because of a fight.

"It can't be that's the Min-" I whisper yelled but got interrupted mid way through by Percy.

"Shhhh Beth names have power remember what I told you". He reminded me calmly.

However before I could respond the Minotaur spotted us. Or should I say smelled us apparently it didn't have the best site so it mainly relied on its other sense like smell and hearing. It lowered its head and torso seeming to prepare for a charge. I tried to get out of the way but my body would not move. For whatever reason I could move my legs maybe I was terrified and stopped by fear. But within a second the Minotaur charged at me.

Before it could make contact I felt a large mass to my side as I was slammed into the ground. My shoulder was burning that really hurt but I guess it was better than being screwed to death. I glanced up to see who or what it was. Of course it turned out to be PercymyPercy he saved me there for me like usual.

"Annabeth are you okay', I was brought out of my thoughts my Percy, "Look we have to get moving we can't let that thing get to close to us we need to find Luke and Thalia and either try to make an escape plan or find a way out". He told me.

With that we both rushed up to spot the Minotaur. It obviously missed me but apparently hit a tree and ended up breaking it however good news his horns were stuck in the tree. Not trying to making any more loud sounds we dashed towards the camp however that didn't help us eventually the Minotaur got his horns out and caught on to our scent and began to chase us to the camp. As we ran into the camp we saw Thalia and Luke rushing in our direction weapons in hand.

"Guys what was that loud sound I heard footsteps. And the sound of a tree being broken?" Thalia asked.

Before we could say anything Luke noticed the Minotaur behind us and pointed to us. "You guys found the you know what?!" He practically shouted.

"Yea sort of more like he found us, we have to get out of here I wasn't going to originally say anything but camps pretty calls by I was hoping to stay in this area a little longer to train Beth but looks like it's time to go. I don't think we are strong enough to fight it yet so follow me I'll lead the way". Percy said

With that we follow him and ran for what seemed like hours probably only was 30 minutes or so but we made our way out of the forest and into the near by city being New York as we were getting chased eventually we landed on a hill apparently this is were camp was.

I was nervous as ever though now even though my questions shouldn't being coming up in my head right now because after all we are running for our life but I could help it what's going to happen to Percy after this. But I quickly brushed those thoughts to the side of my brain.

"Guys this is it, camp half blood I'll make you guys a distraction please take Annabeth into the camp they'll keep you safe I promise there's a special border that prevents monsters from coming in just please get her to safety". Percy asked Luke and Thalia.

What was Percy thinking I'd never leave him here alone to fight that thing he's trained me and I'm sure I can handle my own or at least help him. But maybe he doesn't think I'm ready yet. But I can't let him do this alone.

"Percy no let me help I promise I'm strong enough you've trained me this whole time please let me fight". I pleaded with him.

"Beth I know you're strong enough but I can't risk you getting hurt this is my mission to do I promise you I'll be fine just go".

"No I can't"but before I could finish I was interrupted.

The Minotaur with a loud roar started charging at us Percy immediately stepped in front of us ready to fight it alone. However before I could join him or tell him I'm fighting with him I was grabbed by Luke. Luke grabbed me and with Thalia started running up the hill.

I yelled at them to let me go. I didn't make it easy for them I kicked shouted flailed and did everything to stop them from taking me away. I need to help Percy, but it was no use Luke was too strong. Eventually we made our way up the hill and encountered a border.

Without hesitation Luke jumped past the border with me and Thalia. We saw a few people who were gathered at the border watching the events unfold. Luke finally let me down and I rushed to go watch what happened to Percy down at the hill. I saw him with an another person? A boy that Percy had on his back with a horn in his hand.

As Percy came up from the hill he slowly entered the border I was about to rush up towards him but I stopped dead in my tracks. Percy dropped the boy down slowly and passed out.
