Percy's POV
I could feel the light slowly crack through the darkness, as I opened my eyes I was hit with a lot of light. It took me about a minute for my eyes to readjust to the room's brightness. Then before anything I remembered about the Minotaur, I wondered if that was all a dream however, it seemed all too real to feel like a dream. But if it's not a dream why would my Dad send a monster to hurt my friends and me, he never seemed against them even if he didn't like Thalia but that is only because of her parentage. He would never stoop that low right?
However, almost as soon as my eyes adjust a million other questions shot through my head. Where was I? Am I dead? Oh my gods is Beth? The second question was answered almost immediately as I could just tell that I wasn't dead, perc of being the son of the Lord of the Underworld. Also, on a less interesting note, I could um feel myself breathing but that doesn't sound as cool as sensing if I'm dead or not using my totally amazing powers so we are going to pretend that I just have cool powers.
Where am I? I said out loud this time as I looked around, I was in a room with many beds lining up evenly against the walls. Speaking of the walls, they were a nice beige color made out of stone bricks and what seemed to be medical equipment on the tables. Also, there seemed to be ambrosia on the nightstand next to my bed. With what seemed to be a horn? Then again I remembered what happened before I passed out with the Minotaur, so it really was not a dream, and I- I defeated it? And even better I got a spoil of war pretty cool. I continued to look around the room and concurred that this was the infirmary. I tried to get up but there seemed to be weight on my legs as I tried to get up. I looked down and saw a mess of blonde hair in a style that can only be described as pretty princess curls.
Well that just answered my last and final question. It was Annabeth thank god she's okay, she was clearly sleeping I could even feel the rise and fall of her chest on my leg. She must be tired. I don't know how long she's been here by my side. But by the likes of it she must have fallen asleep so she's probably spent the night at my side. Thinking about it I could feel my face start to heat up.
As I kept looking around I heard the door open, I saw a horse leg peak through the door... wait a horse leg? Then as the legs went through I saw a persons head... For a second I thought I was seeing things maybe in my half awake state I was hallucinating however then i rubbed my eyes. I was defiantly awake, then as the full creature came into view I felt like a complete buffoon. He was a centaur, and not just any centaur Chiron the teacher of Heracles but even cooler Perseus my name sake and Achilles one of the best heroes to ever live.
My Dad talked about Chiron before because apparently he gets confused with Charon. Now don't get me wrong they are nothing alike Charon though he may seem sad, upset, lonely and greedy honestly he is a pretty nice guy when you passed all of that. Oh and he is most definitely not a Centaur. However they still get confused I think it is because of the names they sound very similar with only one letter being the difference.
I was dragged out of my thoughts as a I heard a grunt.
"Hello Perseus, that is your name correct? I asked the little girl who is currently laying on you. Anyway I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions and things like that?"
"Yes sir that is my name, however you could just call me Percy", I respond trying to be as respectful as I can, "And Yes sir feel free to ask me any questions you would like".
"Okay, Perseus do you know about the gods?"
"You mean gods with a lower case g right? Like Greek, Roman and Norse gods I've heard about them they seem pretty cool. Hades though is my favorite he's the oldest male and he has the coolest domain". I replied trying to keep a straight face the whole time.
"Percy was the really necessary to mention my name? You know names have power and I'm trying not to invade on your conversations. Especially because none of the Olympians will be very pleased that I'm a 'Favorite' . Dad said in my head.
'Buttt Dad the chance was too good I just had to'. I replied back, before hearing and cough.
"So you have heard of them that's good, Perseus what if I told you that the gods were real well at least the Greek gods.
I decided it would be funny if I was blatantly honest and then pretend like I was just kidding. Hehe that would for sure make him tweak out.
Oh yeah I know they're real. They only impacted almost every major civilization. After defeating the crooked one, the gods took control beginning the rule of the Olympians. They have played a key part in almost every aspect of civilization, Athens, Rome, stopped through Europe like France, Spain and Germany and then stayed in Britain for a while but now the Olympians reside in America or should I be more formal, western civilization. The Olympians reside where ever the "flame" leighs. Currently they reside in New York specifically the Empire State Building.
There are 12 Olympians correct? Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Aphrodite, Artemis, Athena, Apollo, Hermes, Ares, Dionysus, Hephaestus. Right? Then there's Hestia and Hades who are part of the first six gods sons of time and fertility. They are not Olympians though if I remember correctly, Hestia gave her thrown up for Dionysus and Zeus was jealous of Hades so he kicked him out?(Sorry if this is wrong I wanted to challenge myself and see if I remembered it correctly just tell me if I am wrong)
"Is that right?" I asked, dead serious. But inside I was barely fighting down the shit eating grin I had. I know he's going to wonder how I know all this and he is going to be so confused.
"How do yo-"
"Hahaha you should see the look on your face, I was just kidding everyone knows the gods aren't real... or are they?" I replied seriously.
I could see the gears turn in his head as if he was wondering whether I truly was joking or not. I may have gone a bit too in dept that it may be hard for him to believe I was joking, either way that won't matter it's not like I plan on staying here for a while after all father wants me back home soon.
"Perseus... the gods are real, how do you know all that?" He asked skeptical.
Shist I guess I kind of gave to much information to seem like I was just kidding and I even gave information on where they reside now, so I can not use the excuse of being a sucker for ancient mythology(I am a sucker for mythology T_T).
"Well, Um I love studying Greek mythology, that's it yea. My mom is also fascinated by the gods, she thinks that they're really interesting the diversity between all of them. Berrying certain characteristics and elements, like the basic elemental elements like water and fire. But also things like Wisdom, agriculture things that have build up society to were it is today. Also on how at certain points gods adapted, gained or lost power and or influence. She always thought it was really cool". I replied knowing I did not sound convincing enough.
"That is all interesting however, this does not answer on how you know about the gods traveling paths or where the "flame" residents and the specifics? The Empire State Building?" He was clearly not convinced.
"Well, you know I was just joking about those things like a flame what even is that? It sounds almost like a fairytale, a flame that travels where the peak of humanity is just sounds incredibly fake. As for the Empire State Building it was just a bizarre joke it's the first thing that popped up in my head, it is not like it magically can lead up to some let's say 600th floor. I tried to sound as convincing as possible but also dropping more hints.
I wanted him to get off my case because I am really not trying to draw attention to myself but also try to keep him questioning how much I know. I know kind of two completely different things I should be doing. As for the keep a low profile I guess though in hindside I kind of messed that up already not many people enter camp with a Satyr on his back and just slaying a well known and powerful monster like the minotaur and on there first day at that. I must have some different first impressions on most.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by a loud grunt, "Perseus I fail to be inclined to believe you, you were far too accurate and you kept dropping hints that you knew more than what you were leading on".
Yea that is fair, I would not believe someone either if they told me in almost perfect detail about some myth that turned out to be real but then pretend like they were joking the whole time and that they were just stupidly accurate but not knowing anything. But still that is a bummer hope he does not keep questioning me
"Oh okay, anyway good talk do you mind leaving me I want to rest a bit, I am very tired also we seemed to wake someone up with our conversation" I looked down seeing the bright beautiful and curious smokey eyes of Annabeth Chase.
"Good morning Beth, how's my little sleepy head doing". I asked her as I heard Chiron turn around and open the door signaling his leave.
"Good morning, when did you wake up" She asked in between yawns which I must say was very cute she was clearly half awake and still tired. Her honey gold princess curls were all messy which looked adorable, as she looked up at me she looked away to grab her glasses which were on my night stand.
Which were circular glasses with a grey boarder that matches her eyes, honestly they look great, we bought them at a market that was in a city passing by, she doesn't actually need them but I thought they looked cute and gave her a more "nerdy" look that I thought fit her.
"Well I woke up a bit ago if I had to say maybe 30 minutes ago? Maybe less or more though, not sure honestly but Beth not that I mind but question, why are you laying on top of me?"
"Oh! I'm uh sorry I did not mean to when you passed out the other day I was very worried about you I stuck by your side every day.. I wanted to make sure you were okay and that I'd be the first person you saw when you woke up, but I guess I did not do a good job at that did I".
"Beth that's adorable thank you I'm glad you care about me but I'm fine really, but how long was I out?"
"Well um you were out for three days, Chiron the centaur guy said you be out for a while due to exhaustions and overuse of your powers. He said I um had to feed, you some stuff I think he called it nectar and ambrosia. He said it has some like healing properties for demigods, when I fed it to you it slowly healed your cuts, scratches." She said with a slight blush.
"Oh thank you for taking care of me Beth, nectar and ambrosia have healing properties for gods, it is known as the food of the gods I believe and because it heals gods it has effects on us demigods. I really appreciate the care I'm sure I would not be feeling anywhere near as good if you did not help me out though I have another question, Am I comfy to sleep on?"
I said that last part hoping for a reaction and I got it. Beth immediately looked down to see that she was on top of me and practically jumped off the bed. With a furious blush she tired to speak but to no avail.
After composing herself she said, "I'm so sorry I did not mean to fall asleep it's just that I was so worried that you wouldn't be okay that I didn't want to leave your side and eventually my eyes got heavy and I fell asleep, but um yes you are..." She said that last part quick and quietly hoping I didn't hear her.
"Hahaha... oh my gods if you could... see the look... on your face bahaha", I said in between my bursts of laughter. I was laughing so hard I actually fell of my bed, "Oof". Before I could even realize anything I heard giggling.
I look up to see Beth laughing clutching her stomach, "Haha you fell... on your face... ahaha", I couldn't help but join in and start laughing myself.
After about 3 minutes of non stop laughing I finally controlled myself and stood up next to her then jumped on to my bed, I signaled her to sit down next me. As she did I couldn't help but look at her in aw she's so beautiful.
I was shaken out of my thoughts by a "Percyyyyyy".
I look over to see Beth starring at me, "What? Do I have something on my face? Oh no please don't tell me I have the case of the uggles?" I said in fake terror.
"Hehe no don't worry it's only minor"
I starred at her with a blank look, and she has the audacity to start laughing at me.
"Okay says the one who said I' m comfy to sleep on? Now your talking well I may be uggles but at least I'm comfy, and guess what your not gonna get this comfy because your a meanie" I couldn't help but smile while finishing it.
Beth was about to say something but she got interrupted by the door slamming open, two people emerged, one with spikey black hair and electric blue eyes and one who was a fair bit taller with tan skin dirty blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. It was Luke and Thalia our "companions" on our way to camp half blood.
"Percy you're awake, are you okay?" Thalia asked
"Oh hello Thalia I'm doing fine thank you for asking I had a little someone taking care of me throughout my sleeping recovery". I nudged Beth indicating that I was talking to her.
"Well that's good I'm glad you're feeling healthy and recovered. Annabeth was with you the whole time she wouldn't leave your side I wouldn't be surprised if she became apart of you".
Luke took this bit of pause in our conversation to finally speak up and include himself.
"Well Perseus I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, I should be thanking you on the behalf of Thalia and I, you saved our lives there is not much that I can repay you with but for now I owe you my eternal gratitude and I'm in your dept".
"Oh that's so true thank you a lot Percy I really appreciate you saving our butts trust me I got your back one day don't you worry".
"Haha thank you guys but I did not doing it expecting anything in return, I'm just glad I could help out. Anyway what have I missed? I'd ask how the place is but someone who I've been talking with hasn't really left the infirmary yet haha".
"Hey I have to! I um got food from the dinning hall... but um that's the only other place I visited so I guess you're right hmf". Beth replied puffing her cheeks out trying her best to show a fake pouty face.
"Well this place is quiet nice, they're are lot's of areas, they have a training area, housing, archery range, and a whole lot more. It's actually pretty fascinating, and to think this place doesn't even appear to be on any map".
"Well Luke it makes sense I mean this place is a safe haven for demigods, I doubt that many people let alone mortals no about this place so the odds of it ever being on a map is slim to none".
"Fair I didn't think that far into it".
"Hey guys enough talking we should go explore and maybe grab some food". Thalia said eagerly.
"I'm down, Beth you want to go explore?"
"Sure, I haven't really gotten a chance to look around because someone had me occupied with their injuries".
"Alright let's go guys" I said as we walk through the door going to explore what camp half blood has to offer.
Annabeth's POV
It's been a few days since Percy woke up, we've gotten settled in apparently camp half blood does a tradition of capture the flag so that is gonna be fun. However, Percy has been a bit distant lately, he hasn't talk to me much he seems to have stuff on his mind, I'm not sure what it is but whatever it is I hope he's okay.
The cabins that they have I learned represent gods each god gets a cabin, there re tweleve cabins though. I guess that they only really give it to the Olympians not minor gods which in my opinion is really weird like where is hades cabin I mean he is important he's the brother of both the King of the gods and the King of the Seas. He's also a King in his own right, being the ruler of the underworld.
I was put into Hermes cabin as it was a cabin for any "unclaimed" demigods, so Percy, Luke, Thalia and I are in this cabin.
"Hey Annabeth", I heard someone call my name it I look over to see Thalia.
"Hey Thalia, what are you up to"
"Nothing much i actually just woke up, better question what are you thinking about look at you I swear I can see the wheals turning in that brain of yours".
"Oh it's nothing I'm just wondering about Percy that's all".
"Oh okay, well I'm going to go get some breakfast I'm starving"
"Alright have fun Thalia see you later!"

This is it! The moment I've been waiting for it's for capture the flag I can't wait to play this is gonna be so fun, and I get to be on the same team as Percy maybe I'll get to know why he's been upset lately.
Percy's POV (Only for Capture the Flag)
Alright this is gonna be fun the last day and I guess night at camp half blood. Father told me he wants me home tonight he told me I've spend long enough time there and that I need to start my training immediately so he wants me home.
I don't know how to tell Annabeth though, I don't want to leave her I really don't she's my closets friend and maybe more but I don't need to think of that right now. I'm nervous I don't know how to tell her.
I quickly shook my thoughts out of my head, I need to pay attention to game for now I told myself. Our flag was on a hill on the complete other side the enemies base, they were I believed at a area called Zues' Fist. The teams were Hermes, Athena, Dionysus, Hephaestus against Demeter, Ares, Aphrodite and Apollo.
I heard the horn signaling the beginning of capture the flag, I was on offense my goal was to capture the flag, I wanted to show off a bit so I used part of my dads powers, one of the only ones I know it's called shadow travel but I can't travel too far nor long yet due to not training it because of my mothers not wanting me involved in training until now.
I shadow Traveled to a area that I thought was close to Zeus' Fist if I remembered correctly. I could see the flag in the distance, it was guarded by two people that I could see, however I could also here people near by either in trees or somewhere else. I just decided to go wing it.
So I bolted to the flag getting my daggers out, the enemy noticed me but it was too late I already was past him and used the hilt of my dagger to knock him out. I rushed for the other one catching them someone by surprise even though you could clearly hear the grunt and falling sound of the guy I knocked out. But I lunged at the other person guarding the flag.
I dropped down to the ground and used a lower leg kick to knock them unbalanced and used the hilt of my other dagger to gut them in the stomach knocking them down for a while.
I grabbed the flag and left immediately bolting to my side, I could hear the horns indicating that I stole the flag, I noticed some fighting going on and I could faintly see Annabeth, Luke and Thalia fighting what looks like a few Ares and Apollo campers.
I rushed towards them hoping to use them as cover.
"Beth cover me!" I yelled.
She noticed me and her eyes went wide when she saw that I grabbed the flag already.
"Luke, Thalia defend Percy!"
"On it"
"Okay sounds good!"
They created a whole for me to rush through. I sprinted as fast as I could right as I got past I could see one of the Ares campers lunge at me, he caught me off guard so I wasn't fast enough to react. I braced for impacted but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw Beth on top of a unconscious camper.
"Go you dork what are you waiting for lets win!"
I kept running, faster Percy go faster, I could feel my legs tire out. Percy break past our limit let's go win this.(Reference anyone?)I finally saw the flag on top of our hill. I could see people fighting defending our flag from other campers. I sprinted even faster wanting to rap the game up. I was about to make it then I noticed the enemy campers turn around to see me so I readied my dagger I wasn't going to lose now.
They slashed at me but right before the could, I jumped up doing a flip landing on their shoulder and spun and kicked of their back to lunge for the flag.
I could hear another horn. It indicated that I made it. I won.
Annabeth's POV
I heard the horn blow. It was all over did we win?
I rushed towards our flag spot leaving Luke and Thalia in the dust to deal with the other campers.
I ran as fast as I could, I finally made it to our hill and I saw Percy holding the enemies flag next to ours. We did it.
We won.
I was so happy I ran towards Percy and before I could even think I jumped at him.
Lucky for me he dropped the flag so he could catch me. Obviously he easily caught me.
"Percy that was amazing we won I can't believe it" I couldn't help but be ecstatic.
"We did, didn't we".
I got off of Percy and looked at him.
"Percy"
"Yes?"
"What's wrong, tell me"
"Nothi-"
"No, don't play that game with me I can tell something is wrong please tell me, you're worrying me Percy"
"Beth I", He took a long breath "Beth my Dad Hades he wants me back home tonight, it was my last day here at camp half blood. I'm so sorry I didn't know how to tell you I'm sorry please don't be mad at me I'm really sorry".
"Can I come with you?"
"Huh? You want to come with? You know I live in the underworld right? Plus you won't be going back here for a long time what about Thalia? Luke? You're okay leaving them?"
"Can I. Come with you." I didn't really ask more like stated.
"My Dad might no-"
"Oh no don't you put this on me Mr. Annabeth you're happily welcomed here don't let Percy tell you otherwise".
I was shocked did I just hear a voice in my head?
"Um that was my Dad he does that sometimes just randomly comes into my thoughts but this is the first he's been in others" Percy responded confused
I snapped out of my confusion realizing what his answer meant.
"Well he said yes so now what? Do you not want me with you?"
"NO, that- that's not it I'd love for you to join me, but are you sure?"
"I'll always be with you"
