1879
Frederic Vladimir Cheslav is born in Vladivostok, Russian Empire. Son of a Lieutenant in the Imperial Russian Army, and a veteran in the Crimean War, and of a merchant's daughter.
1884
Frederic Cheslav leaves Russia at age 5, after his parents have died from smallpox, and moves to America to his live with his uncle, he leaves via ship from Vladivostok. Frederic arrives in California and changes his name from Frederic Cheslav to Francis Carlyle.

Sarah Xavier Vanderbilt is born in New York, U. S., the youngest child of Cornelius "Corneil" Vanderbilt II and Alice Claypoole Gwynne-Vanderbilt. She's the Fourth-Generation of the Illustrious Vanderbilt Family.
1890
Carlyle drops out of school at 11 and started to work in American Express as a delivery boy for money cheques, however he immediately rose to the ranks for his quick-wittedness and his natural talent in the finance business, by 1897 at age 19 he becomes Vice President of American Express.

Sarah Vanderbilt, a smart young lady with a gift of finance management as well an inventive mind, sees her family's wealth and fortune gone to waste. In response to this, she started working for J. P. Morgan in the age of 17 as a secretary and auditor as well as being a part time assistant for famed inventor Nikola Tesla.
1907
Both Carlyle and Vanderbilt met in New York, they then have a "steamy" relationship. In little over a year they soon married in Christmas day, at Los Angeles.

The U.S. occupied Nicaragua to quell political unrest, in truth this is a ploy to intimidate and thwart the construction of the Nicaraguan Canal, which is a threat to U.S's interests.

Austro-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand is assassinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia. World War I begins.

Francis Carlyle, now one of the wealthiest men in the world after his years of work in American Express and several successful private investments, left the company as he and his wife (now Sarah Carlyle) founded two separate companies: Carlyle Industries and SS Co. After a few decades, these two companies would be influencial in the 20th Century for their contributions in banking (SS would create the first Bank Credit Card, and buy American Express in the 50s, the first bank with ATMs, etc.) and Carlyle Industries under Sarah Carlyle and Nikola Tesla as heads of operations, would create the first commercial AC wirings used in the Woolworth building, and the first commercially used flourescent light bulb, often crediting Tesla's name as to discredit Thomas Edison in retaliation for Edison's smear campaign against Tesla, years later the company would help contribute to the creation of the Wi-Fi router.

October Revolution begins in Russia, Bolsheviks seize power which sparks the Russian Civil War.
1918
World War I ends, Treaty of Versailles signed.
1922
The Philosophers are founded, composed of powerful, wealthy, and prominent figures from the U.S, Post-Revolutionary Russia, and China, forming the Wisemen Committe. Two of the members of this committee is [REDACTED], who is the father of "The Boss." and Francis Carlyle, now the second wealthiest industrialist in the world, worth half a billion dollars and is considered "much wealthier than Vanderbilt, and less than Morgan."

Carlyle Industries invented the ballpoint pen, the stapler, and the welding torch, which gave initial success. But they would shortly later would focus more on small arms and experimental weapons.
1925
Carlyle Industries would shortly rebrand their name simply as Armstech after the company's success, they are the first company to make firearms with the use of synthetic polymers, and their first experimental product is a Colt 1911A1 pistol made out of synthetic polymer called the AI-25 1911 or simply known as the "Toy Gun", the polymer used here is called Saralite named after Sarah, Saralite is 10 times more durable, lighter, and can withstand more stress than Bakelite, the company also created the first silencer.
1930
Francis Carlyle dies from an "accident". The organization spirals out of control and the Wiseman's Committee is a mere shell of it's former self. Sarah, knowing that she has a target on her back due to her being Francis Carlyle's wife knew she had to disappear, she hid her and her husband's wealth in banks all over the world (Worth 25 billion US$), she even faked her death to remove the target placed on her. The companies Armstech and SS Co. have been acquired by The Philosophers, but all of the couple's other assets have disappeared. Sarah then changes her identity as Sarah Fisher.

Adolf Hitler is appointed Chancellor of Germany, The Third Reich is born.

John/Jack AKA "Naked Snake" AKA "Big Boss" is born.
1936
EVA is born in Meridian, Idaho. During childhood, she is taken from her family by the Philosophers and placed in a joint U.S.-Soviet-Chinese facility to be trained as a spy.
Dr. Clark AKA "Para-Medic" is born in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.
1939
Albert Einstein writes a letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt advising work on the Atom bomb, as Germany is conducting it's own research.
Poland is invaded by Nazi Germany, The U.K. and France declare war. World War II begins.
Donald Anderson AKA "Sigint" is born in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.
1940
A secret pact is concluded between The Philosophers that deals with the construction of world order after the Axis Powers are defeated. The American, Russian, and Chinese factions of The Philosophers pool their assets in order to secure victory in the war and agree to distribute them after the end of the war. There are two men in charge in helping to distribute these assets. These men are Soviet Army Colonel Boris Volgin in charge of laundering the money, and U.S. Secretary of State Gen. George C. Marshall Jr. the architect of the European Recovery Program, also known as "The Marshall Plan" in charge of distribution of those assets.

1941
Sarah Vanderbilt now Fisher, though no longer part of The Philosophers, she still has contacts inside and maintained a close, yet unseen eye within the organization. Sarah's reasons for surveillance within The Philosophers is to keep a close watch over [REDACTED]'s daughter, this child is Sarah's goddaughter and caretaker during her time with The Philosophers. Sarah, Francis and [REDACTED] were close friends, and Sarah's eye over his daughter is merely to honor her dead comrade. Sarah watched over the girl who is her goddaughter as she grew up to become "The Boss."
Sarah Fisher met The Boss in secret as she was about to be deployed to England to be the SAS's chief advisor, and the two reconnect. The Boss forgives Sarah Fisher for leaving The Philosophers and does not hold it against her. This would be one of the few times the sole surviving original Philosopher and the "Mother of Special Forces" would meet.
Nazi Germany invades the Soviet Union.
Operation Squatter, night bombing raid in North Africa, executed by the SAS. The Boss was the chief organizer of these raids, and here were The Boss laid out the foundation of non-lethal means of hand to hand combat known as CQC.
1942
The Office of Strategic Services is founded.
The Manhattan Project is given the green light, one of the people working on the project is J. Robert Oppenheimer, Leo Szilard, Klaus Fuchs, Enrico Fermi, etc. including Howard Emmerich.
The Boss forms the Cobra Unit during the Siege of Stalingrad, this unit would go on to have a pivotal role in acheiving victory after victory for the Allies in the darkest days of WWII.
George Johnston AKA Code Talker, the brother of World War I veteran Philip Johnston, both from the Navajo, helped alongside his brother to create the U.S. secret code talkers' cipher book. This Navajo secret code helped win the battles of the Pacific Theater. However, Code Talker and Johnston disagreed on a lot of things, such as Code Talker calling his brother a traitor to the Navajo people for turning back on the tribe and giving the White Man their language and twisting it into nothing more than a tool, while Johnston considered his brother a fool for holding a grudge.
The Siege of Stalingrad ends with a Soviet Victory.
Acting on false intelligence provided by the Soviets, The Boss/The Joy is sent to Los Alamos to assassinate John von Neumann, but the mission was botched due to her pregnancy, and resulted her wounded and fell into a coma for three months. Sarah had heard of this, via an inside informant, and was shocked and upset that The Boss nearly died and had a child inside her during a war.
Kombayn Nikoladze is born in Georgia.
1944
German V-1 Rockets bombard London, leaving hundreds dead.
Operation Overlord/D-Day commences. The Allied Forces dispatch the Cobra Unit to Normandy ahead of the invasion. Their mission: Destroy V2 Missile installations in the Normandy defenses. However, The Boss gives birth to Adamska (Revolver Ocelot) with The Sorrow as the father. The baby is eventually taken by the Philosophers. Sarah Fisher hears this and tries to rescue the child but to no avail as the location of Adamska is well hidden.
1945
The Battle of Berlin ends in a Soviet Victory, Hitler commits suicide.
The first nuclear test, codenamed "Trinity", is conducted in Alamogordo at Los Alamos, Texas, U.S.
The first atomic bomb is dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Howard Emmerich's son Huey is born. The next atomic bomb is dropped on Nagasaki, ending World War II.
Vietnam declares independence.
Boris Volgin, the man in charge of laundering the Philosophers' funds, monopolizes their assets during the postwar chaos. The Philosophers' legacy is dispersed and laundered through banks in countries across the world, including Switzerland, Austria, and Hong Kong. It will later fall into the hands of his son.
The three branches of the Philosophers start to split up, this split is the beginning of the Cold War. The first battle of this civil war between the American and Russian Philosophers began in the final days of the war, when American OSS operative Lt. Karl Fairburne, one of The End's first sniper students, was sent to assassinate a group of Nazi Targets: Maj. Hans von Eisenberg, Dr. Gunther Kriedl, Dr. Efram Schwaiger, Colonel Müller, and Dr. Wolff as they were defecting to the Russians. Karl Fairburne declared himself "The First Soldier of The Cold War."

The Boss disbands the Cobra Unit due to the tensions between The Philosophers and the eventual split.
The Boss finds out that she's once again pregnant, but The Sorrow used his spiritual powers to slow the growth of the embryo inside, in order to heal The Boss' scar and to prevent The Philosophers from knowing of her pregnancy and taking another baby.

The Costa Rican Civil War erupts, The leader of the rebels José María Hipólito Figueres Ferrer leads an armed uprising against the Costa Rican Government, which it was quickly defeated. In December 1, Ferrer abolished the Costa Rican Army, becoming a "Nation without a military." Which would influence a few key individuals.

Sarah Fisher, knowing that The Philosophers are waging a civil war against one another, decides to create her own group to combat the Philosophers' increasing influence. Alongside her longtime ally and Ex-member of the Philosophers, Marcus Lambert, she created the organization First Echelon, with it's objective: Fight The Philosophers in the shadows, and destroy them in one fell swoop. The group's activities were relatively unknown by the Philosophers until the group emerged and launched their attack during The Patriot Crisis of 2014.
1951
The Israeli Intelligence Agency: The Insititute of Coordination AKA MOSSAD is formed.
The "Buster Dog/Operation Buster-Jangle" atomic test is conducted at Area 7 in Nevada, with U.S. Army troops participating. The Boss is exposed to high levels of radiation. Thankfully, The Sorrow, from a great distance, was able to shield most of the radiation effects from the slow growing baby inside her, but some the radiation would physically affect the baby, but not deforming it.

Wernher Von Braun propose the Mars project, his plan is to send men into space.
The U.S. Army Special Forces "Green Berets" is first organized.
The United Kingdom tests it's first nuclear bomb, becoming the world's third nuclear power.
The National Security Agency (NSA)is established.
English Mathematician and cryptanalyst Alan Turing is arrested for homosexuality, an illegal act under UK laws at the time.
The Lawrence Livemore National Laboratory is founded in Livemore, California, U.S. by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), for the purpose of research and development of nuclear weapons.
Marcus Lambert becomes NSA's first director. Lambert uses his position to secretly monitor the activities of The Philosophers, while maintaining a loyal façade.
Ingrid Karlthson is born, Her father Richard Karlthson is a member of The Philosophers but defected to First Echelon when his wife and Ingrid's mother, Ivana was killed by said group for subversion.
1953
Soviet dictator Joesph Stalin dies from a supposed cerebral hemorrage in his office. Though it was suspected that Yugoslavian dictator Josip "Tito" Broz had ordered an counter-assassination hit on Stalin in retaliation for the numerous assassination attempts on his life as Tito's letter to Stalin which was in Stalin's office by the time of his death, stating: "Stop sending people to kill me! We've arlready captured five of them, one of them with a bomb and another with a rifle... If you don't stop sending killers, I'll send one to Moscow, and I won't have to send another." It was suspected many years later that Stalin had been poisioned by a Hungarian assassin known only as Bilagáana, under Tito's employ.
James D. Watson and Francis Crick discover the double helix structure of DNA. However, they left out fellow researcher Rosalind Franklin and was unrecognized and snubbed. Franklin, and Code Talker later worked together on the microbic nature of a certain Archaea in the Navajo lands.

The first U.S. test of a hydrogen bomb, Operation Castle Bravo, is detonated in Bikini Atoll. John is rendered sterile after involvement in the testing.
The NKVD is discontinued after a series of clean-ups and investigations ordered by Khrushschev, and the discovery of the horrible crimes commited by the NKVD during the Stalin Era and the crimes commited by former NKVD Director Lavrentiy Beria. The NKVD was then reformed into the KGB.

AUGUST 8, 1957
TOWSON, BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND.
0300 HOURS.
In the quiet suburban town, in the northeastern of the United States. Towson County is home to many of the most affluent people in the state, and some in the country.
The suburb is the stereotypical image of 1950s America, the lawn freshly mowed, the smell of apple pie, the garden gnomes that stood by garding would be trespassers, the shiny cadillac, and most important of all: The Nuclear family, the happy image of the American Dream.
Of course, no one's out and about as it's still three in the morning and everybody's asleep.
All except one house, which is fairly lit compared to the others with all their lights off.
That's because the resident of the house is working late at night, and that resident is an old lady.
Inside the house, there's a basement which leads into a long tunnel built-in, and at the end of the tunnel is a large room filled with computers, recording devices, and file cabinets filled with documents and photos.
And in the center of it all, was an old woman.
The woman wears a black long-sleeved dress with a high neckline, wore glasses that are from the 1890s, and black high-heeled shoes.
The old lady looked innocent enough to be like any other sweet ol'grandma, but the old lady had the eyes of a cold and calculating taskmaster.
The 70 year-old woman's name is Sarah Fisher, formerly Carlyle, formerly Vanderbilt.
The old lady is sitting on her desk reading reports from her contacts inside the NSA, and the CIA.
"The tentacles have yet to encircle the country." Sarah sighed, as she pinched her nose.
The former Philosopher is feeling her own mortality, she knew that perhaps in a few years she might pass on to the afterlife, and she was considering on passing her work to her son Charles, a WWII veteran of the Pacific theatre, and a field agent for First Echeleon.
Charles Fisher is a U.S. Marine that served with distinction in the Second World War, earning the rank of Colonel at the end of 1945. He now worked in the CIA as an Intelligence Analyst in Southeast Asia, and is well regarded by the mooks in Langley.
However he's also an agent for First Echelon, he learned of The Philosophers, and as a true Patriot he knew that they are a threat to the U.S. and that they are the ones who killed his father, they must be stopped.
"But it's only a matter of time when they do, when they finally take over." Sarah sighed as she takes a smoke with her pipe.
'This is will be a long, ardous, battle. But we must win, or we'll lose everything. Our free will, our way of life, is at stake.' She thought to herself.
The Philosophers and their civil war is causing damage to world peace. And that the world powers of America, Europe, and Asia are stockpiling nuclear weapons, that nuclear war is all but certain.
Sarah then looked at the file of her undercover operatives, all working under the CIA, KGB, MI6, and many other intelligence agencies. She made sure that their reports don't leave a trace back to her or compromise the organization as a whole.
She looked at Marcus Lambert's report file, and reads that the NSA (Lambert) wanted to have a "Special Forces specializing in Information Warfare." since the world is becoming more and more globalized due to the changing geopolitics of the Cold War, and the advancement of Computer technology, it's only a matter of time in the not so distant future that wars will no longer be fought with guns and bombs, but with data and information.
And the NSA, more specifically Lambert, knows this. The Director pitched his program to the U.S. Government, but was shut down due to CIA Director Dulles, not wanting another organization to take over the operations in the fight against the Communists. The proposed program, called "ECHELON." by Lambert, is to be the Eyes and Ears of the NSA, operating beyond the usual conventions of intelligence gathering and so secretive that no other agency of the planet will know of their existence, including U.S. government agencies, which Dulles, J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI, and many other intelligence branch is highly against, as this ECHELON program will only give the NSA more power.
While the proposed ECHELON program is dropped, it wasn't scrapped, as the U.S. Government or more specifically The American Philosophers, found the idea of a "Special Forces of Intelligence Gathering" appealing as the CIA, despite their intelligence gathering abilities, has faced setbacks that ultimately made their presence known by other enemy intelligence agencies, they wanted an intelligence gathering organization with a 95-100% success rate. And even that the ECHELON program may have been dropped, the idea of such a program is too good to ignore.
"At least they are considering, but for now we'll prepare for the coming battles ahead." Sarah had contacts within a few 'private companies' that can provide her organization the weapons and tools for the coming 'Revolution.'
She had heard from her contacts in the KGB about a new weapon system developed by the Soviets, two versions in fact, one by Nikolai Stepanovich Sokolov, and another by Aleksandr Leonovitch Granin. Sarah was given the blueprints of these weapon systems, but at the cost of her contact's life. She made sure that the contact can only be traced back to the CIA and not to her.
"While the concept of the 'Shagohod' has it's advantages, this 'Metal Gear' though has a much simplier concept and can work better as an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) as it can traverse in much more treacherous enviornments." She mused as she looked at Granin's initial design blueprint.
The concept of a tank with legs is strange to Sarah, but the mechanics and engineering design on the blueprints proved to be possible.
"Granin, you are one mad genius." She smirked, she can see the advatages of Metal Gear, but it's the advantages that made her frown.
"This tank design will change war forever, and no doubt every nation on this planet will want a piece of it." She can envision it now.
The battlefield of the future will be littered with mechanised tanks and artillery platforms, all having legs and bipedal movement systems. Some having arms carrying terrible types of payload, from chemical weapons to nuclear.
"And such a future... God help us all." She feared for the future for all future generations.
Then suddenly, the front door bell rang.
"Hmm? Who's ringing at this very hour?" Sarah narrowed her eyes, she decided to get up and see who's on her front door.
Ever since Sarah left The Philosophers 27 years ago, she always looked over her shoulder to see if she's being followed.
Her sense of paranoia made her wary of anyone approaching her, but not to the point she isolated herself. She can approach people, but she can tell whether or not a person is someone out to get her.
So, she grabbed her Ithaca M37 pump action shotgun from under her desk and went to the front door and she who's knocking.
She was now at the door and peeked through the peephole, and finds no one at the front porch.
*Click!* The lights of the living room opened
Sarah reacted immediately when she heard the clicking sound, she pointed her shotgun into the living room, specifically on the person now sitting on her favorite rocking chair.
"It's you!" Sarah looked at the person in surprise.
The person is a woman, in her mid-30s, she had blond hair, and blue gray eyes. She wore a white overcoat, underneath however she wore a white bodysuit that covered her entire body except the middle of her chest which exposed the middle of her breasts, including an scar that shaped like a snake.
This woman is The Boss, The Mother of the Modern Special Forces. And Sarah Fisher's goddaughter.
"Hello Sarah, it's been a while." The Boss said to Sarah, she had a stoic face but Sarah can see that the woman is in slight pain that she hides behind.
"What are you doing here, what's going on?" Sarah asked her, but then she hears a cooing sound.
Sarah then sees The Boss holding a bundle of cloth in her arms, small arms are seen in the cloth.
Sarah being curious, she looked and sees an infant, not a day old and asleep.
"This baby is my son." The Boss suddenly explained, this recoiled Sarah into shock.
"What! You had another son!?" Sarah looked at the baby again, this time she can see the baby's eyes as she can see the blue-gray pupils.
"But how, your body..."
"My body willed itself to live for him, just as my body willed itself to live for my previous child." The Boss explained, but Sarah can see the slightly pained expression when The Boss talked about her other son.
'There she goes again, with that cryptic explaination.' Sarah exparated, knowing that her goddaughter won't give a straight answer.
"Is his father...?"
"His father is the same."
'Then that means Adamska is this baby's older brother.' Sarah thought.
"Which is why I'm here..." The Boss said.
"Which is?" Sarah looked at the woman.
"I want you to raise him."
The answer left Sarah in shock.
"WHAT!? I mean What!?" Sarah shushed herself after the initial outburst as to not disturb the baby, strangely enough the baby is quiet, asleep even.
"Exactly what I want you to do, I want you to raise him, He cannot stay with me."
Sarah can't believe her ears.
"You want to leave your son without a mother?!" She angrily said.
"I don't have a choice, neither does he." The Boss looked at her baby, she rocked him gently.
"He's much safer with you, I want him to live a normal life and the only person who can give him that is you." The Boss looked at Sarah straight in the eyes, the old woman then sees The Boss' eyes, she no longer sees the eyes of a hardened soldier who wins wars, but she sees the eyes of a mother, one that's willing to sacrifice her child in order for her child to live a better life.
"But, your son will never get to know his mother, and his father?"
The Boss' facial expression remained unchanged, but the minute twiches in her facial muscles and the slight movement in her eyes showed the emotional pain of parting her child.
"I think it would be best if he doesn't know about his parents, the less he knows the better. I want what's best for him, to live in peace, in a world were people respect and live together in peace and understanding."
"You know that's impossible." Sarah looked at The Boss sadly, "The world is still very much divided: East vs West, Communism vs Capitalism, the list goes on and on."
"I know, Which is why I want my son to know that despite the pointless wars, the petty grudges, and the mindless violence: I want him to live as his own man, to respect the will of others, and the will of oneself."
Then for the first in a long time, The Boss smiled as she looked down on her sleeping son, the current and only source of comfort in her tired and painful life of conflict.
Sarah looked at her goddaughter, and in a moment she sighed.
"Okay, I'll take of him. Not just for him, but for you."
"Thank you Sarah, for doing this." The Boss said, her soul finally at peace knowing that her son is safe, from the machinations of The Philosophers.
"This is good... isn't it?" The Boss softly said, then kissing the baby in the forehead.
Sarah said nothing, just smiled as The Boss handed her baby gently, then The Boss walks out of the front door.
As The Boss walks away on the dark road, Sarah while holding her baby went out and sees her goddaughter walking away.
The Boss then stops, she then slightly moved her head back to see her Godmother carrying her son, Sarah waving goodbye at her.
The Boss just nodded, and continues to walk.
As The Boss' figure disappear into the darkness. Sarah then realized something's missing.
"Oh crap, I forgot! She didn't give me her son's name!"
Sarah then realized that The Boss, might've not thought about giving her first baby a name, as Adamska was a name given to him by his Philosopher handlers.
So she thought of a name, and then it clicked.
"I guess you're staying with me for now on... Samuel Leo Fisher."
"The son of Joy and Sorrow, shall be a man of the sea... He wields the darkness as it's sword and shield... As the Son of Snake shall sow chaos, so The Son of Joy and Sorrow shall sow peace... As the sons of Snake... Les Enfant Terribles, The son of Joy and Sorrow must join forces with the son... who saves the world."

End of Prologue
So, what do you think. This is my first time doing a Metal Gear/Splinter Cell fanfic crossover.
First off, differences:
Sam's physical appearance will be slightly different. The only changes will be Sam's eye color. His eye color will be that of Blue-grey instead of green.
Sam will be physically stronger and faster, though he'll still be the stealthy Sam Fisher we all know well and love, it's just that in this fic, he can fight off Metal Gears single-handedly, just not like Solid Snake who had superhuman strength and instead just like Big Boss.
The reason for this Physical strength for Sam is that he absorbed some nuclear radiation when he was still an embyro and it affected and slightly altered his body.
Here's some of the enhancements Sam got:
•Health Regeneration (Albeit slow)
•Physical Muscle Strength (Not like Solid Snake, but half-way)
•Enchanced Agility (Can dodge a barrage of missiles by seconds)
•Enhanced Endurance (Can hold his breath longer than your average joe.)
•Enhanced Eyesight (Even without his iconic goggles, he can still see fairly well despite in total darkness and can spot a speck of light in 500 meters in total darkness.)
Sam, in my fic will stay the same in Character though slightly altered in order for him to fit into the MGS Universe. He will have The Boss' charisma, though he'll rarely use it to inspire soldiers to follow and instead to inspire fear into his targets.
And unlike many of the characters' backstories that we see in Metal Gear, Sam's backstory will be the mostly normal, as Sam wasn't created as a clone like Solid and Liquid, nor was he born in a Failed African State during a civil war like Raiden, Sam's just an average SEAL operative who's capable of extraordinary feats.
And last thing, there are two people I'm trying to pair Sam with:
Sam Fisher X Paz Ortega Andrade
Sam Fisher X Meryl Silverburgh
Which is best for Sam.
