Something Harry doesn't know until he watches Snape's memories during the last battle of Hogwarts was how much he was protecting him at the end of the day.
The memory reveals when Snape watched him from the doorway in the Hospital Wing, when he had to regrow his bones in his arm. He sees Snape watching him while he feels asleep. Harry's face looked peaceful now. He sees Snape watching him and not leaving him. Not even when Colin gets placed in the hospital wing after his attack. Harry sees Snape watching him until he leaves when he's sure he's asleep again. He sees Snape closing the door, after he closes his eyes and walking away.
There are no thoughts, but Harry sees other memories of how Severus Snape protected him.
No wonder, he names his second son and gives Severus name as a middle name to Albus Severus Potter.
