Tommy, Kat, Aisha, Billy, Adam, and Rocky materialized in streaks of light on The Command Center's central platform in their normal clothes. They were instantly surrounded by their parents, who all had worried looks on their faces. "Good, you're back. They need help," James said, looking at Tommy. Tommy looked at his dad in confusion, then he heard Kat gasp.
"Oh no, look!" She said as she pointed to The Viewing Globe.
"She's back," Billy said seeing the black-suited stranger fighting against Jason, Trini, and Zack in the Exo suits. She acted more like she was playing with them and not taking the fight all too seriously.
"Ready for round two?" Tommy asked looking at Kat and Billy.
"I've been ready," Kat said with a nod.
"Affirmative," Billy said with a nod of his own.
"Rocky, Adam, Aisha, I know this is going to sound a bit crazy but, try and relax The Power will guide you," Tommy said as he turned to face the new additions to The Power Team.
"Yeah, I felt or heard something in our fight outside Ninjor's Temple," Aisha said looking back and forth between her two friends.
"Right," they said together as they nodded in agreement.
"Alright guys let's do it. If we need more power we'll have access to it," Tommy said as he took a determined step forward. "It's Morphin' Time!" he shouted as he and the others began moving their arms in broad circles before ending with their arms held out in front of them wrists crossed over one another and pinkie fingers extended.
"Ninja Ranger Power!" the six called out as small bolts of lighting in their respective colors shot between their extended fingers. A second later, they were dressed in their loose-fitting robes, hoods, and face masks. Without another word, they teleported away to the lakeside area where Zack, Trini, and Jason were fighting.
"As fun as this has been," the stranger said as she separated her bow into two swords and began to slowly walk toward the three teens, "it's time to end this."
A blurred streak of white rushed by and struck the stranger causing her suit to spark and her to stumble back.
"What the…" Zack said letting his sentence hang in the air unfinished as a black, pink, blue, yellow, and red streak rushed by one by one. Each of them struck the stranger eventually knocking her down.
"Guys, look!" Trini said as she pointed to her left where Tommy and the others stood shoulder to shoulder.
"Hey guys, sorry we're a little late," Tommy said as he looked over at Jason, Zack, and Trini.
"Did you guys get ninja powers or something?" Jason asked in an almost deadpan tone.
"Yep," Kat answered as the stranger pulled herself to her feet.
"It won't save you!" she screamed as she charged at the newly arrived Rangers. Using their new powers each of them gracefully dodged several of her slashes and stabs before Adam landed a punch sending her stumbling into Aisha.
"Back off girl," Aisha said as she landed a sidekick to the stranger's gut doubling her over. Billy and Rocky each swept a lead sending the stranger crashing to the ground. She sprang back to her feat only to be hit in the chest by Tommy's flying kick sending her flying back into a support post of a lifeguard shack.
"Alright guys, let's see what these new powers can do," Tommy said as he clenched his fists.
"Right," the others said as they nodded in agreement.
"Falcon Ranger Power!"
"Frog Ranger Power!"
"Crane Ranger Power!"
"Wolf Ranger Power!"
"Bear Ranger Power!"
"Ape Ranger Power!"
In colored flashes of light, the loose-fitting robes were replaced with form-fitting colored suits. Each of the suits was a single color with a thick band of black between two narrow bands of white at the top of each boot and back of each glove, a golden-colored belt, and a golden band above their helmet visors, at the center of the bands above their visors was a crest featuring their spirit animal. On their left hip, each ranger had a holstered laser pistol and on their backs, each had a Katana in its scabbard. Tommy alone had his lightsaber hanging from his belt at his right hip.
Tommy grabbed the hilt of his lightsaber and with a sharp twist separated the original hilt from the second and ignited the green blade. "Man, that's cool," Rocky said as he glanced over at Tommy.
"No! It's not possible!" the stranger shouted as she stood and held her two swords up as she prepared to attack.
"Surrender now," Tommy said as he summoned his second lightsaber to his left hand and ignited it.
"Never!"
"Jason, Zack, and Trini teleport back to The Command Center, everyone else, on me."
"Good luck guys," Jason said, breathing heavily as the three original rangers teleported away.
The others reached behind their backs and drew their swords.
With a roar of anger, the stranger charged at Kat with murderous intent. Kat moved her Katana, blocking the stranger's overhead slash before spinning away, catching the stranger with a well-placed hook kick to her spine, sending her staggering forward toward Billy.
"Aiya!" Billy shouted as he swung his Katana in a downward slash of his own. The stranger only just managed to block the blue ranger's strike with the sword in her left hand.
"My turn," Rocky said as he stabbed at the stranger's right side. The stranger used her sword in her right hand to deflect Rocky's stab and leaped over Billy, only to be met by simultaneous slashes from both Aisha and Adam. With a frightened gasp, she placed her swords in an X, catching both of the rangers' katanas. Tommy moved in, lightsabers ready to strike the stranger spun and twirled away gracefully narrowly avoiding the lightsabers. She snapped her swords back together reforming her bow. She notched an arrow, drew back, and fired it into the air.
"Not this time!" Tommy shouted as he threw the lightsaber in his right hand. It spun through the air and sliced through the arrow before Tommy used The Force to guide it back to his hand. He leaped at the stranger, placing the two hilts back together just before he landed in front of the stranger. The two began to attack one another with inhuman speed, the lightsaber and bow sparking each time they made contact.
"Die fool!" the stranger shouted as she swiped at Tommy's head. He ducked under and stepped to his right as he countered with a diagonal upward slash. The stranger moved back, but not in time for the tip of the lower lightsaber blade to catch her helmet at the lower right chin and slice the helmet to the top left side causing the helmet to fall in pieces on the ground. Tommy made for another strike as the rest of the team rushed in, but when he saw the stranger's face he, Billy, and Kat froze.
"Kim?" they said together as the former pink ranger disappeared in a flurry of pink and black lighting just before Aisha, Rocky, and Adam could attack.
"So, you guys know her?" Rocky asked as a long uncomfortable silence hung in the air.
"It's a long story," Billy said uneasily.
"Really long," Kat agreed with a nod.
"Back to The Command Center," Tommy said as a crowd began to slowly form around them.
When the rangers appeared in The Command Center everyone looked at them with looks of shock on their faces, except for Alpha who stood by one of the computer banks slumped over and shaking his saucer-shaped head.
"Zordon, that was Kim! How is that possible?" Billy asked in complete shock.
"For now Billy, I am not sure where Kimberly's new powers come from, but I am certain that Lord Zedd has somehow placed her under his control, much as he did with Katherine, and Rita with Tommy."
"He may have had help," Tommy said with a sigh. "Remember, he's working with Palpatine now."
"You think he had something to do with this?" Kat asked.
"I'm not ready to rule it out. Palpatine, Sidious, is nothing if not a master manipulator. I think he could easily offer Zedd some knowledge of Sith Alchemy to string him along until he is no longer useful."
"Look I hate to interrupt, but who is this woman and how do you all know her?" Aisha asked.
On the moon, Kim appeared in a black and pink form-fitting body suit, her bow at her side. "Out of my way!" she shouted as she forced her way past Squatt and Baboo. "That goes double for you, you gold-plated idiot!" she added as she powered her way past Goldar.
Zedd spun around as he stood on the balcony of his palace. "Calm yourself, my dear," he said as Kim marched up to him.
"They have new powers and they know who I am."
"The new powers could prove troublesome, and do not forget, three remain powerless," Zedd said as he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Besides my dear, them knowing who you are may not be the worst thing. They will be off balance now. More concerned with saving you than stopping you."
"You may have a point," Kim said with an evil smirk as she stepped beside Zedd and gazed out to Earth.
The Command Center stood in stunned silence, the only sound the soft beeps of the computer banks as the rangers and their families now stood in silence. Rocky, Adam, and Aisha looked back and forth from one another as Billy, Zack, Kat, Trini, Jason, and Tommy hung their heads. Their parents, look on with looks of shock, confusion, and sympathy on their faces. None of them were able to fathom what their kids were feeling following the revelation that their newest enemy was their friend and former teammate.
