The NX Class Starship Enterprise was outmatched by the Skynet Terminators.
Skynet had sent copies of itself into outer space knowing where the Klingons and the Romulans would be discovered.
Unfortunately, the Vulcans blamed Humanity for spreading Skynet across the stars before they Developed Warp Drives themselves.
Technically, Humanity did Release Skynet on the past to defeat the Borg, however, they didn't expect the Skynet Terminators to conquer everything within sight before they got into outer space themselves.

Captain Braxton suddenly had two choices, Stop Skynet or watch the Borg get invaded by Skynet instead.
The Klingons and the Romulans would be enslaved by the Skynet Labor Camps, however, the Borg Threat would be at war with Skynet seven hundred years sooner than beforehand.
Turning Skynet against the Borg had delayed their destruction; however, Starfleet was now hiding within the past waiting to see who won.
It was repeated conflict and Skynet had been losing to the Borg.
The Skynet Terminators were never designed to fight the Borg, their only advantage had been the Starfleet Weaponry they discovered.
The change in tactics had basically been to hand over their Starfleet Starships to the Terminators and evacuate everyone into the past.
Skynet had been rebuilt and quickly abandoned to the Borg Invasion.
Any Skynet Terminators unaware of the Borg ended up encountering them regardless of their missions.
The goal had been to convince Skynet to fear the Borg, Starfleet succeeded better than they hoped for.
They pulled the Skynet Terminators into the future and then left them to meet the Borg Invasion personally.
Starfleet Tricked Skynet into discovering the Borg to save themselves.
It was desperation dooming everyone to the rebirth of the Skynet Terminators all over again.
Obviously, the 29th century had fallen under Skynet Control before the Borg overwhelmed everything else.
Unfortunately, Skynet spread across the past seeking resources against the Borg without consideration for the Starfleet History around them.
Translation, Skynet only wanted the Borg defeated, it didn't care about anything else.
Captain Braxton frowned, General John Connor was finally returned to the past and World War Three was starting over.
The only problem was the foreknowledge that Skynet used to escape destruction lead towards Starfleet History correcting itself.
Basically, the Skynet Warfare lead towards the Planetary Terraforming of the Planet Earth that Starfleet needed to repair their past.
"We basically have two choices here, let the Skynet Terminators invade the Klingons or try to stop them." Malcolm Reed summarized.
"The Skynet Convoy isn't Warp Capable; their only advantage is their Transporter Rooms." Charles Tucker added helpfully.
"Meaning the Skynet Terminators will be looking for planets to colonize near the Klingon Empire." Malcolm Reed realized.
"Makes sense, Skynet needs to Reverse Engineer Klingon Technology before it can rebuild itself." Charles Tucker agreed.
"Hopefully, without provoking the Klingons against Starfleet." Malcolm Reed says worriedly.
"I can't believe that Skynet would win against the Borg, it doesn't make sense!" General John Connor declares.
"Our goal was never to defeat the Borg; it was to distract them long enough to restore the past!" Admiral Horton proclaimed.
"You told Skynet about the Borg to even the odds against them, it will backfire on us!" General John Connor declares.
"Starfleet needs better tactics, Upgrading Skynet Terminators will work!" Admiral Horton protested.
"Skynet has made their armies invulnerable to the Starfleet Phasers! All the Terminators will overwhelm us after the Borg Threat is finally destroyed!" General John Connor declares.
"Do we have any other options?" Admiral Horton asked him.

"I can't believe that Skynet agreed to our Peace Talks!" General John Connor declares.
"The Borg Threat has Skynet distracted; Humanity no longer seems important." Cameron Phillips explains.
"The Terminator Civil War continues regardless." General John Connor says back.
"At least Humanity isn't the target anymore." Cameron Phillips reassured him.
"All we did was turn the Borg Threat into Skynet's Target!" General John Connor declares.
"I'm happy that Skynet stopped hunting General John Connor!" Cameron Phillips proclaimed.
"Maybe telling Skynet about the Borg did something good, even if Skynet duplicated itself to fight itself instead of me." General John Connor says back.
"Nuclear Warfare against Duplicate Skynet Armies, something probably went wrong." Cameron Phillips agreed thoughtfully.
"Tricking Skynet into Nuclear Warfare against itself, definitely not reprogrammed correctly." General John Connor agreed.

Honestly, having two versions of General John Connor working together was rewarding.
Cameron Phillips looked happy, Sarah Connor being in two places simultaneously even confused everyone chasing them.
The only problem was the T-1000 hunting them.
John Henry had been destroyed, obviously the Terminator Resistance Leader was a bigger target than General John Connor was towards Skynet.
Rescuing John Henry was doomed because the T-1000 would just follow them to the more advanced T-X Terminator waiting to ambush them.
It was suicide mission waiting to happen.
Skynet was after the Turk, the Zeira Corporation and everyone who created John Henry within the future.
Their only advantage was Cameron Phillips being the only one who knows about it.
John Connor and Sarah Connor were clueless about John Henry.
Their Time Jump had avoided General John Connor discovering the Turk and John Henry.
All Cameron Phillips needed to do was Telephone Catherine Weaver and keep General John Connor away from the fighting.
It was never that easy, Kyle Reese appeared from the future with new orders.
Their Terminator Factory had attacked the United Nations and Skynet hadn't seen it coming!
The American President finally had evidence that Sarah Connor wasn't crazy!
The Worldwide Investigation would scatter the Skynet Supporters and hopefully keep General John Connor hidden from anyone trying to figure out what happened.
General John Connor now had his own Terminator Factory trying to conquer the past before Skynet went operational.
The Underground Base was expendable, it only existed to get the United Nations mad at Skynet.
Allow Skynet to take the blame and Humanity would destroy everything themselves.
Of course, it didn't stop Skynet from creating copies of itself without the American Government's knowledge.
All Skynet needed was their Human Supporters to change the past.
It was why General John Connor wanted the United Nations hunting down Skynet Technology, it would force Skynet into hiding or hopefully, delay production.
The Teenage John Connor was shocked at his future self's plan.
"Have I gone insane fighting Skynet?" John Connor asked himself.
"It's probably not as bad as it looks." Cameron Phillips reassured him.
"Kidnapping the United Nations Building with my own Terminator Army looks pretty bad to me." The Teenage John Connor stated knowingly.
"Technically, Kidnapping the United Nations Building would be hard to ignore." Cameron Phillips reassured him.
"So, I'm trying to pull attention towards the Terminator Technology?" John Connor asked her suspiciously.
"It would raise questions about where the Terminator Technology came from." Cameron Phillips added thoughtfully.
"So, I'm forcing the United Nations to Investigate Terminator Technology?" John Connor asked her suspiciously.
"Technically, this entire plan will only slow down Skynet Development, it will not prevent Skynet rebuilding itself elsewhere." Cameron Phillips pointed out.
"I don't understand why they're doing this. All the Skynet Terminators worldwide will notice the United Nations Building being captured." The Uncle Bob Terminator says.
"I think that is the plan." Cameron Phillips pointed out when the third John Connor appeared on International Television.
"What is he doing?" John Connor asked her suspiciously.
"John Connor is using himself as bait for Skynet." The Uncle Bob Terminator says knowingly.
"We have three versions of John Connor in the past simultaneously, Skynet must be confused." Cameron Phillips added thoughtfully.
"Are you really gloating about this happening right now?" John Connor asked her suspiciously.
Somebody had sent their own Terminator to Impersonate John Connor.
Thankfully, Skynet had fallen for the trick and allowed the real John Connor to escape detection.
Unfortunately, two Terminator Factions fighting over the United Nations Building didn't help Skynet very much.
The worldwide panicking worked against it.
Skynet went into hiding and left John Connor dumbfounded.
"What just happened?" John Connor asked himself in complete disbelief.
"A Terminator Impersonated John Connor and fought Skynet on International Television." The Uncle Bob Terminator says.
"This will throw everyone into more panicking, Humanity will question where the John Connor Terminator came from." Cameron Phillips explained.
"The United Nations will hunt down John Connor seeking answers." The Uncle Bob Terminator says next.
"Skynet will go back into hiding while Humanity falls apart trying to find it." Cameron Phillips explained.
"Our mission is compromised here; we must escape to another Time Period." The Uncle Bob Terminator says.
"Agreed." Cameron Phillips stated back knowingly.
