I posted this on AO3 earlier today, but figured, 'why not post it here as well'? Basically, this is going to be my Phineas and Ferb story featuring both the pairings of Phineas and Stacy AND Phineas and Isabella. Just to be clear, while I won't be opposed to writing a Phineas/Stacy, this is more of a 'puppy love' story... you'll see what I mean soon enough. Don't worry Phinibella purists, you'll have your Phinibella moments! Just be patient and bear with me! All right, here we go with the first chapter!
It was another bright morning in Danville, specifically around the Flynn-Fletcher home, a place where the most unusual activities always happened around the summer. Everybody had just finished up with breakfast and Linda Flynn-Fletcher and Lawrence Flynn-Fletcher had just left for a while to run a few errands, leaving their kids to mostly just take care of themselves.
However, it was on that morning as a familiar girl was walking up to the front door of the house and knocking on it. Standing and waiting patiently was a black haired teenage girl, looking to be of Japanese-American descent. She was wearing a teal wrap shirt, a dark blue skirt, light blue knee-high socks, black Mary-Jane shoes and a blue bow on her head. This girl, known to a few, was Stacy Hirano, best friend of Candace Flynn.
And as of right now, the two had made plans to go out together (plus, Stacy is hoping that, for however long it took, it would distract Candace for a LITTLE WHILE about trying to focus on her brothers), and Stacy had never been more excited for the day. She hummed a bit as she waited for someone to answer the door… which somebody did.
Poking his head out of the door was a young boy, around eleven or twelve years old with short red hair wearing an orange and off-light yellow striped T-shirt, blue cargo shorts and blue sneakers. He also had a very unusually shaped head, with three freckles on his temple and a pointy nose, almost looking like the letter 'P'. The boy looked up and smiled.
"Oh, hi Stacy. Candace is still preparing herself for that girl's day out you two have planned, but come on in." The boy smiled as he opened the door fully.
"Oh, thanks, Phineas." Stacy said with a smile as she walked right in as she walked inside and into the living room where she made herself comfortable on the chair, as Phineas walked with her before sitting down next to some blueprints he had laid out on the table, and looking over the details, humming to himself. Stacy couldn't help but note that it was only Phineas sitting at the table. "Where's your brother?"
"Oh, Ferb went out to get some supplies in town, but he'll be straight back soon. We got a GOOD project going on today." Phineas smiled.
"Oh?" Stacy smiled, a little curious. "What do you have planned? Another amusement park ride? Maybe another trip to space? Ohhhh, are you going to do something like the disco miniature golf course again? I had a LOT of fun with that one!"
Phineas paused as he gave a smile. "All good choices, but not today. Ferb and I've decided to settle on expanding our culinary skills a bit."
"Really?" Stacy asked as she gave a smile. "What are you making?"
"Well, Ferb and I have been going through the Book of Records and we noticed that there's a record for "Largest Pie In The World", weighing in at 20 inches. We didn't think it's that large, so we're going to expand it AND show off our creation to the record people." Phineas explained.
Stacy laughed. "Boy, I have a feeling that sooner or later, Candace might flip her lid when she sees what you have planned…"
"Oh, I'm sure Candace will love it. After all, we're making blackberry pie. I already ordered the blackberries, and the pie filling. Ferb just has to pick up the right kitchen tools. The ones in the kitchen are fine, but we'll need better utensils to work with." Phineas explained, once again a little oblivious to Stacy's little hint towards Candace.
Stacy took a moment to wonder if she should actually explain to Phineas about what Candace would ACTUALLY do to Phineas, but thought better against it as she gave a sigh. "Well, I'll see if I can hold her off, but no promises."
Stacy rubbed her arm a bit as she gave a small groan. It was then Phineas looked up at her and noted her agitated look. "Are you okay, Stacy? You're looking a little agitated."
Stacy groaned as she held her head. "I'm fine, it's just… I had a bit of a rough morning. I had to help my mom do the dishes after breakfast this morning, which ruined my hands a bit… they're fine now, but you should have seen how they were SOOOOO pruned! I could have used the dishwashing gloves, but we were OUT, so I had to do them barehanded… and like, I think I misplaced my bracelet. I knew I had it on me when I was at your place last night with Candace, but then I get up in the morning and my bracelet isn't where I usually keep it! And I looked everywhere for it!"
It was then Phineas noted both of Stacy's wrists and noted the lack of bracelet on the girl's left hand. His eyes widened as he gave a smile, as if realizing what she was talking about. "Wait here for a second."
Stacy blinked as Phineas rushed right upstairs. She blinked in confusion before hearing footsteps coming right downstairs, as Phineas was coming back with an item in hand. He immediately came back as he held up the item. "Is this what this looks like?"
Stacy looked at the item in question and gasped, as she recognized the familiar purple bracelet with five beads on it. "My bracelet!"
"I found it this morning after breakfast when I was sitting on the couch with Ferb, looking over what our plans should be for the day." Phineas said. "It was wedged between the curtains and-"
Stacy snapped her fingers. "Now I remember! I took it off when Candace and I were playing Truth or Dare, and she dared me to put my hands in a bowl of mayonnaise! I didn't want my bracelet to be ruined, so I took it off before doing the dare… and I guess I just forgot to put it back on!"
Phineas blinked. "That WOULD explain why we were out of mayo this morning…"
"Oh, Candace and I just do some crazy dares… if anything, I was trying to help her get her mind off other things." Stacy laughed as she took the bracelet from Phineas's hands and put it on her left wrist, before turning her hand around. "Ahhhh, now I feel complete. Thanks for holding on to it, Phineas, that is so sweet of you!"
Phineas gave a smile. "Think nothing of it, Stacy. I had a feeling this bracelet belonged to somebody I knew…"
"And I'm grateful you delivered it to the right girl." Stacy giggled. "You know, Phineas, some girls would be lucky to have a guy like you around."
"Would they?" Phineas asked in confusion as he looked up. "I know I can always be reliable, bu-"
All of a sudden, much to Phineas's surprise, Stacy had leaned over towards Phineas and gave him a sharp kiss on the cheek, causing the boy's eyes to widen, and his lips curling a bit. The Japanese-American woman then leaned back and smiled before giving a nod. "Well, I feel complete now, thanks to you. Maybe this day won't be so bad after all."
"Stacy, is that you I hear downstairs?" Candace's voice shouted.
Stacy paused as she looked up. "Uh, yeah, I'm here, Candace! Are you ready to go?"
"Yeah, yeah, be right down!" Candace shouted as the girl came rushing downstairs, her orange hair flowing like usual. She was wearing her red sleeveless top, a white skirt with a red belt around it, red ankle socks and white Mary-Jane shoes. She gave a big grin as she noted her best friend standing over there. "Hi, Stacy!"
"Hey, Candace!" The girl grinned as she and her best friend hugged. "Ready to get going!"
"You bet! I've been wanting this best friend's day for a LONG time." Candace smiled as she was about to walk off, only to stop short as her eye caught the blueprints on the table. Phineas was actually feeling his cheek, looking rather awestruck at the moment. "Wait a minute! Blueprints? What are you up to, Phineas?"
"H-huh? Oh… uh… pie… baking…" Phineas said, seemingly distracted.
Candace blinked twice. "Pie baking? That seems harmless… and yet, that's ALWAYS a problem when it comes to you and Ferb. What type of oven are you even making for this "pie"?"
Stacy groaned as she held her head. "Candace, come on. Don't get yourself into your busting mood now… especially not THIS early in the morning. At least try and focus on our Best Friend Day…"
Candace shut her eyes in anguish before shaking her head, before turning to Phineas. "Ugh, fine. You got off lucky this morning, but if I hear anything about this in the news… you are so BUSTED, get it?"
"Yeah… uh… sure… wow…" Phineas said, seemingly not paying attention to a word Candace said as his eyes went over to Stacy.
Stacy gave a sigh as she shook her head. "Well, our Best Friend Day awaits us… well, Phineas, I wish you and Ferb good luck…"
"Don't encourage him, Stacy." Candace groaned as she grabbed Stacy's hand. "Come on."
"Right…" Stacy frowned a bit as she looked back to Phineas with a smile. "Thanks again, Phineas."
"Y-yeah… you're… welcome, uh…" Phineas said as his eyes focused all this time on Stacy, a blush apparent on his face. As soon as Stacy was gone, Phineas blinked twice as he rubbed his head. "Huh? What happened?"
Phineas paused a bit as he tried to think about what was going on, before looking down at his drawings, before his head quickly snapped back on. "OH! Our pie record, right! I should probably focus on that right now…"
It was then he heard a tapping on the back door glass. Phineas looked up to see Ferb tapping on the glass, having just got back. "Oh, Ferb! Hey, you got everything we need?"
The green haired boy was wearing a cream-collared shirt with a button, and dark purple waist-high pants with a light purple belt and black shoes. His head appeared to be in the shape of a letter F. This boy, as mentioned, was Ferb Fletcher, Phineas and Candace's stepbrother, and the brother Phineas would always collab his projects with.
He gave a swift nod before pointing out the back. Phineas grinned as he got up. "I'll just sign for everything, then, and we'll get started."
And so, after Phineas went out to sign for the items that were ordered, he and Ferb decided to work directly on the kitchen, with Buford, Baljeet, Isabella and the Fireside Girls coming in as per usual to help them with their big project. However, despite his focus on the big project, Phineas couldn't help but wonder what had just happened that morning… when he gave Stacy the bracelet and she kissed him on the cheek…
It just felt a little strange to him, as before, he had no problem talking to Stacy, and he was only doing something nice… and yet, he was feeling a little hot and flustered, even thinking about the beautiful, smiling face of Stacy. Of course, he decided to focus on the project and not let that small incident raid his mind…
However, things were not as easy as they looked as while the largest pie turned out to be a rather huge success, Phineas was a little less focused on it and more on the thoughts dancing in his mind right now, namely revolving around the girl who kissed him on the cheek earlier that day.
Fortunately, nobody had noticed as things seemed to be pretty normal, as Phineas and the others were admiring the large pie as Isabella gave a giggle. "Gosh, Phineas, you really outdone yourself this time!"
"Yes, it took quite a bit of mathematics, but this pie certainly looks quite good." Baljeet said with a smile on his face.
Buford rolled his eyes. "So, when do we eat it?"
"Patience, Buford. We're not going to eat the pie. We're just going to show it to the official record people and they'll determine whether or not we beat the world record!" Phineas explained.
"And THEN we eat the pie?" Buford asked, smirking.
"We'll see…" Phineas laughed as he heard the sound of a car coming in. He looked out to see a black car and a few TV camera crews coming in as Phineas gave a grin. "Oh! Looks like they're already here! Look sharp, everyone!"
Isabella gave a smile towards Phineas as she nodded. "We're ready when you are!"
Of course, things were going smoothly for Phineas and friends as the camera crew were already setting up and the record adjudicators were already examining the pie, using measuring tape to measure the large pie that was as big as the tree in the yard. Of course, just as Phineas was giving a smile, ready to appear on TV, he heard the very familiar shout of his sister.
"PHINEAS!"
He turned his head to see the angry form of Candace walking in. "Oh, hi Candace! How was your Friendship Day with Stac-eeeeeyyyy…"
It was at that moment, he noted Stacy following right behind Candace, looking in awe at the large pie before her. Stacy gave a sharp whistle as she smiled, "You have to admit, that is a very large pie, Candace…" She then turned to the boy and smiled, "Hi, Phineas. I see you're having a good day."
"Y-yeah… how's… uh… yours…?" Phineas stammered as he couldn't help but admire Stacy.
Isabella was a little too distracted talking with the other Fireside Girls to make sure the pie was perfect, but for some reason, she felt her heart stopping for a second… like a tremor was waving before her. She thought it strange, like something had fallen out of balance, but she decided to disregard it as nothing before continuing on.
Back with Stacy, she gave a smile, "Oh, you know, things went great… had a nice mall day, I even let Candace talk with Jeremy for a few minutes while he was on his break at his job… fingernail painting, it's the same ol', same ol'... at least I needed this day…"
"That's… uh… nice…" Phineas said, looking up at Stacy, as his eyes imagined her up on a large Greek pedestal, the young woman laying down as she gave a giggle.
"Thanks." Stacy said as, in his mind, she gave him a rather sultry wink.
In reality though, Stacy was still standing next to Candace as she smiled towards Phineas, who was giving a smile towards her, though this smile looked a bit different from the other times he gave his smile towards people… however, Candace wasn't paying attention as she pulled out her cell phone. "You are SOOOOO busted! I'm telling Mom!"
With that, the red haired teenage girl ran out the back yard door to try to take the call as Stacy looked back and sighed. "Well, I guess it wasn't meant to last… uh, I need to go check on her. You're doing okay here?"
"Y-yeah, yeah, I'm… good… see ya later… Stace…" Phineas said as he unconsciously gave a small wave.
Stacy raised an eyebrow at the nickname Phineas gave her, but gave a shrug before running off to catch up with Candace. Phineas still stood in the one spot, stammering a bit before Buford walked over and noticed. "Yo! Phineas!"
The boy snapped out of the stupor, before blinking. "H-huh?!"
"They're ready for ya! Come on, do the interview so I can eat that delicious pie!" Buford said as he rubbed his stomach.
"In-interview? Oh… oh yeah! The interview!" Phineas said as he got up before rushing over. "I'll get right on that!"
With that, Phineas got up and started running towards the interviewer as Buford gave a small blink.
"Weirdo…"
Of course, it was a tale as old as time, with Phineas doing his interview with the others and the record adjudicators offiiclally declaring twenty feet as the newest record for 'Largest Pie'. However, just as Phineas was about to get the award on national television, something happened in the sky involving a tornado that hit the backyard, taking away all the pies, the camera crew and the cars they came in along with it. Phineas looked up as he blinked. "Huh. Another unusual occurrence…"
"Awwww, I really wanted to eat that pie…" Buford frowned as he crossed his arms.
Phineas paused before giving a shrug as he looked around at his friends and smiled, "Oh well, at least it was another successful day on our belt…"
A slight chattering sound was heard as a teal platypus came waddling in before resting himself near the tree. The young boy looked down and gave a grin. "Oh, there you are, Perry!"
"Look, look, look!"
The kids quickly turned their attention to see Candace pulling her mom towards the yard and pointing towards where the pie once stood. "See? It's huge!"
Linda blinked twice as she looked up at it. "Yes, Candace, it does seem like our tree has been growing a couple of inches taller since we've had it."
Candace opened her eyes and turned her head… before deflating as she gave a groan. "Of course everything just disappeared. Of course, of course!"
"Hey boys, hey kids." Linda smiled as she approached the boys.
"Hi, Mom/Hi, Mrs. Flynn-Fletcher!" Phineas and the kids said as Ferb gave a slight wave.
"So, I hear you made a pie?" Linda asked, out of curiosity, as Candace just slapped her forehead.
"We did… and it was a really big pie… but a freak windstorm took it away." Phineas explained.
"And we never even got to eat it." Buford crossed his arms.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." Linda said, misunderstanding the kids's meaning. "However, maybe I could make it up with a few snacks?"
"That sounds great, Mom." Phineas smiled as Linda walked off.
"Then come right in. Stacy, you can stay here as well, if you want." Linda said as she turned her head.
Phineas stopped short upon hearing Stacy's name and turned his head, unaware that the other kids were walking by. Sure enough, there was Stacy standing right behind Candace and Linda as Stacy gave a smile, "Thank you, Mrs. Flynn-Fletcher, but I should probably get going. I promised my mom to help her tonight with something."
"Okay, I understand. Have a good afternoon, Stacy." Linda said as she walked right inside the house through the back door.
"Bye, Mrs. Flynn-Fletcher. I'll see you tomorrow, Candace, if I can! Bye, Phineas." Stacy smiled as she waved towards the two.
Phineas stammered as a blush went through his cheeks as he gave a small wave with his fingers. "B-bye… cutie…"
Stacy stopped, wondering if she heard Phineas right… before laughing a bit as she shook her head, walking off.
Candace was a little too enthralled with her failure to bust the boys to catch Phineas's slip-up as she gave a sigh and turned her head, "Okay, Stacy, see you tomorrow…"
The young teenage girl gave a small sigh and shook her head. "Ugh, so much for trying to bust you… fine… but one day!"
She turned her head towards Phineas, before her face softened and changed as she noted Phineas's stupefied look. The girl looked concern as she waved a hand in front of his face. "Phineas?"
She snapped his fingers as Phineas blinked twice. "H-huh?"
Candace blinked twice in confusion, before sighing. "Mom's getting snacks. Come on in before your friends take them all."
"Oh… yeah, right…" Phineas nodded as he started to walk inside, with Candace raising an eyebrow.
However, as Phineas went right inside, he was rubbing his head, trying to rattle his brain as he noted the kids sitting down on the living room table. Phineas paused as he gave a chuckle, "You guys go ahead and pick, I just need to… wash up!"
With that, Phineas rushed to the bathroom as he started to run some cold water in the sink and used it to snap himself out of the confused stupor he was in.
"What's happening to me?" Phineas asked in confusion. "Ever since this morning, and every time Stacy appeared, my mind just… stops and… and…"
The young boy looked up and yelped as he saw a reflection of Stacy behind him, giving a sultry wink and a giggle. He immediately turned around, only to see nothing there. He rubbed his head, giving a groan.
"I must be catching something…" Phineas groaned as he tried to put all thoughts of Stacy out of his mind…
But, little did he realize that, like all young boys that were experiencing their first crush, it was rather hard to get said person out of their head… especially one as beautiful as Stacy Hirano. And even though Phineas had not realized this yet, but this week was going to get a bit more interesting for him…
And that is this chapter done! I don't know when I'll update the next chapter, but hopefully you guys out there are curious to see how everything goes down! Until then!
