Fuyuki.

On a table in the middle of a run down motel room, was a scale model of Fuyuki, a true model that was the exact recreation of the city. The model took up the entire table, leaving not any room for eating or using the table for anything other than the model. The model was almost complete, only missing the Fuyuki bridge that connected the two sides of the city, separated by a river that split the city in half.

The bridge that was currently being held in the hand of one Uzumaki Naruto.

15 years old, 166 cm tall, blond hair and blue eyes, wearing a white button up shirt with the top few buttons left unbuttoned, peach colored skin, a rounded face, a black jacket left undone and hanging over his shoulders, and black pants held up not by a belt, but by rope instead, and wooden sandles for shoes without any socks.

On his right hand, was a red spiral that was separated into 3 pieces, with the red spiral itself being faded, not having fully formed.

'Years ago, the 4th Holy Grail war in this city got cancelled, prevented from ever happening... and now I've got command spells.' Naruto thought to himself. 6 months ago, command spells had appeared on his hand, even though the Holy Grail War had been prevented from happening during the 4th Fuyuki Grail War. He had command spells, which meant that somebody had activated a new Grail War. It was a mystery to all of those who new magecraft.

Like him.

He was a Mage, and he specialized in Magecraft that allowed him to connect with the natural world around him. It came in handy for allowing him to enhance his strength, speed, durability, reaction time, as well as his range for sensing things around him. It also granted his mana reserves a massive boost, so massive that he could be compared to a Holy Grail himself. He had been training under a waterfall with his teacher when his command spells had appeared. His master knew what they were, even though he didn't know at the time.

He was a Mage chosen by the Holy Grail.

So, he got to work with his preparations.

"... and... there we go..." Naruto finished the Fuyuki scale model by placing the bridge in an absolute perfect spot. He clapped his hands together. He connected to the natural world around him, and grew strength from the leylines. Placing his hand over the top of the city, he transferred a large amount of mana into the model.

Saber, Archer, Lancer, Caster, Assassin, Rider, and Berserker.

Naruto reached into his pocket and pulled 7 small chess pieces in the shapes of each of those servant classes, each of them was clear, made of glass. Each was no bigger than the fingernail on his pinky, but they didn't break when he dropped them. Instead, they were filled with his mana and the mana of the natural world. When he dropped them, 2 of them glowed and started to stand up on their own.

Lancer and Rider.

The Lancer model started to move like a chess piece towards the Harbor, until it found it's home inside of one of the buildings. While the Lancer Piece was on the move, the Rider piece was on the move as well and crossed the Fuyuki bridge until it settled in in one of the buildings next to the Residential Area. The 5 other pieces all stayed unmoving, and weren't glowing, showing that they hadn't been summoned yet.

By connecting the leylines of Fuyuki to a perfect scale model, he was able to use his connection to the Grail as a master, to use the hidden grail to locate and constantly track down all of the servants who had been summoned. A Glowing Piece meant an active and summoned servant, a non-glowing and inactive piece meant a servant that hadn't been summoned. Finally, a broken piece meant that the servant had been killed in battle.

This was magecraft that he was uniquely capable of.

With his insanely massive reserves of mana, his connection to the leylines, the ability to control the mana around him to an insane degree, and just his natural abilities, he could keep a track of all of the servants summoned in the war easily. It was an unfair advantage to him, something that would allow any master to easily win the war.

Not him.

He stood up from his chair and moved towards the center of the room, where a large red magical circle was painted into the floor. Now that he knew which servants had been summoned, he knew it was time for him to prepare to summon his own servant.

'A Tohsaka, an Einzburn, and a Matou will be masters, and 4 other masters chosen by the Grail. I know where the Matou manner, Tohsaka manner, and Einzburn Castle are with my map, so I'll know what servants they summon.' Naruto could narrow down 3 of the masters, and once it became apparent which servants they had summoned, he would be able to pick them off with ease.

If he wanted to.

He held his hand out, and the command spells started to glow, and when they glowed, the magical circle glowed as well. Magical energy started to glow out of the circle, golden energy, and in the middle of the circle was a single hair. A hair that he had stolen from one of the family members descended from the mages who had invented the Holy Grail war.

He had stolen a hair from Illya von Einzburn.

He snuck into her school and stole it while she was in gym class, taking one of her hairs from her uniform in her backpack. He had stolen her hair, because of her large amounts of magical energy that she had stored away inside of her. Her magical energy would allow him to bypass many of the security systems in the Holy Grail War. With his modified magical circle, her hair, and his own massive reserves of magical energy, he would be able to do it.

He could summon a servant and not have it fueled by the Grail.

He would summon a servant, and instead of the grail being used to fuel their existence, it would be solely on him to provide them with mana. It also meant that if his servant died, they wouldn't go into the grail, and thus it would be impossible for the grail to claim them, instead, they would be so losely connected to the grail that his servant would go into him instead of the grail. This would prevent the grail from being able to grant wishes.

Also, Illya's hair wasn't a catalyst.

He could use it in the summoning to bypass the system, access the throne of heroes, disconnect from the grail, and still get the servant who was most suited to being his servant. A servant that was suited to being his servant would be a servant who wouldn't oppose what he wanted to do.

There was a flash.

"Eh?" Naruto deadpanned when something went wrong.

Red.

He saw a girl wearing a red tattered cloak, a black bikini with black bikini bottoms, black assless chaps, and black boots. She had a petite body, and tanned skin, as well as pinkish blond hair, and magically yellow eyes with a ring of red around the yellow, showing her original eye color was red, and the yellow came from something else. While he was 166 cm tall, she was 133 cm tall, being shorter than him by a good deal.

"Oh... oh... I was summoned... how is this... how is this possible... Hmmmmmm." The girl leaned down and picked up the hair that was used in her summoning. She sensed the magical energy in the hair, and she looked at the heavily modified magical circle that was used to summon her. She then looked at her Master, the man who had summoned her, and didn't recognize him in the slightest. "Now this is interesting... you summoned me, you actually managed to summon me... and I'm an Archer."

"You're... Illya?" Naruto asked as he looked at her.

"So... Illya exists in this world... yes, I guess I'm Illya. You can call me Chloe von Einzburn though, and looking at this magical circle... you aren't a fan of the Holy Grail War, are you?" Illya, renamed into Chloe, asked as she looked at what had been used to summon her. "How does it work?" Chloe asked as she leaned down and traced it.

Naruto lifted his shirt.

There was a matching circle on his stomach.

"If you get killed, instead of going into the Grail, you'll go into me, and I can resummon you. As long as I'm alive, you won't be defeated." Naruto stated, and his table glowed.

The Archer piece glowed and became active, before it moved to towards the Motel on the map. Chloe watched it moving, and she walked over towards the map, saw it was a perfect recreation of Fuyuki, and saw the Lancer and Rider pieces were also active. She looked at it, examined it, and saw which pieces were and were not glowing.

"This is pretty amazing, you have a pretty unfair advantage Master." Chloe picked up the Archer piece that represented her, and when she touched it, she felt a connection with the piece itself. It was connected to her via the leyline, meaning that so long as she was the alive, the piece would always track her down. She placed the piece on the other end of the map, but it quickly slid across the map to reach where she was supposed to be. She picked up the Rider piece and did the same thing, but it went right towards where it was suppose to be.

This was knowledge that could win a Master the war.

He even disconnected her from the Grail, meaning that she couldn't be used to fuel the grail, and if her spirit origin went inside of her Master instead of the grail, then she could be resummoned again using their shared memories and experiences. He was in a unique position, that as long as he remained alive, he couldn't be defeated as a Master, and could keep resummoning his servant as many times as needed to win the war.

"Yeah, I do, but I want to prevent the Grail from being used, so I need to be as unfair as possible. The Grail is tainted, I can sense it... my connection to the Grail." Naruto looked down at his Command Spells, and through his magecraft, he could sense the contents of the grail itself. Chloe looked at him, interested. "... the Grail is wrong, it's not how it's suppose to be. I can't let the Grail be used, but I know the other Masters won't listen to me. So... can you help me?" Naruto offered a hand to her.

She walked closer to him.

"So, you don't have a wish."

"Of course I have a wish for the Grail, but I can sense the evils in the grail. It might grant my wish, but I don't trust something that feels so wrong." Naruto wouldn't have been selected as a Master if he didn't have a wish of some kind, he could feel it. "I'm sorry if you have a wish, but I can't let anyone use the Grail." Naruto apologized to her.

She looked up at him and licked her lips.

Why did she do that in such a seductive way?

"So, you're willing to become the Number 1 enemy of all the other Masters in this war, just because you have a feeling that the grail isn't right. You're willing to become the hero they need, and not that they want. Not gonna lie, I support that. That's really cool... but just one question..." Chloe looked towards the hair that she dropped on the ground. "... How did you get that?"

"I snuck into her school and stole it off her uniform. I didn't realize it would be used as a Catalyst though... are you Illya from the future?" Naruto asked her.

She shook her head.

"I'm Illya... do you know what a Class Card is?" Chloe asked him.

He raised an eyebrow.

"What's a Class Card?" Naruto asked, and she looked at him with some surprise. She walked over to his table, and she raised her hand over it.

"Projection." Chloe created 7 small cards, and they fell onto the table. The second they touched the table though, they disappeared, unable to form a connection with the table. She was very interested, and leaned over to look at what happened. "... I see... there are no Class Cards in this world. "Projection." Chloe created 2 small magical wands.

She dropped them onto the map, and they went active and moved across the map.

One of them, the red one, landed at the Tohsaka residence, and the other one was moving around the map, before it settled on a mansion.

"What are those?" Naruto asked.

"I'm not from the future, I'm from a different timeline. So, in this timeline, there aren't Class Cards, but Ruby and Sapphire are here. I wonder if Miyu is in this timeline... no... no Class Cards, so no Miyu." Chloe was guessing, based purely on her memories from her home timeline. She had memories of the future, but not this future. "So... this map..." Chloe asked him, leaving her question open ended so that he could give her whatever knowledge was comfortable with.

"It took me 6 months to make. Also-" Naruto tossed an empty glass ball onto the table, it expanded, consumed the map, before it shrank back down with the map inside of it. With the map inside of the ball, the miniature Fuyuki was shrunk down even more. "-show me Archer's location." Naruto stated, and the image in the ball zoomed in to show where they were.

Chloe was very impressed.

If he wanted to win the war, with the tools he had been working for, he could easily win it. Knowledge of all servant locations meant never being ambushed, and never being taken by surprise by assassin. It also meant being able to manipulate things behind the scenes to your favor. Considering he had her, and he could resummon her whenever she got killed, it was actually impossible for him to lose so long as he didn't die.

The guy who was favored to win, didn't want to win, but didn't want to let anyone else win either.

"Okay, now answer this... why are we in a cheap motel?" Chloe hadn't ignored their location.

This place was a piece of crap.

-The Next Day-

"Yeah, this is much better." Chloe stated with a smile as she tossed her cloak off of her body, and sat down on a nice bed in a hotel, instead of a motel. She wasn't going to stay in some shitty motel, instead, she was going to stay in a nice hotel that had a hot springs. "You have the money for this?" Chloe made sure.

Naruto waved off that concern.

"See this necklace... this is a rare gem that is worth 2 gold mines in the mountains on top of them. I've currently got an auction going for it. Just what's been offered so far is enough to cover hotel stays in this hotel for the next 50 years." Naruto would sell his necklace if it meant saving the world, and this was exactly what he was doing. Keeping his servant happy was kind of important if he didn't want her to betray him and try to get a wish granted by the grail. Naruto took his phone out, and he looked up how the auction was doing. "... Oh... actually... 60 years now. Somebody else just added a few dozen million more over the last guy." Naruto was watching the numbers just go higher and higher.

"Where did you get that?" Chloe asked him.

"I won it in a bet, an old granny bet me that I couldn't learn the magecraft developed by my father, and I beat her ass in the bet. It's an incredibly difficult spell. Also, this thing is cursed, and it kills people. People are really into buying cursed shit." Naruto figured that it being cursed would make collectors of rare gems want it even more.

"Cursed?" Chloe touched it.

She took her finger from it.

"Holy shit that thing is SO cursed! That thing would kill anyone who wears it within a day!" Chloe hissed in shock, and she looked at Naruto with some surprise, since he had been wearing it and showed no effects of the curse.

"I'm resistant to most forms of magecraft and curses. Technically, I'm a Demi-Servant, my mother was a Demi-Servant too, and when I was born they tried to transfer the spirit from her into me, the process killed them by mistake." Naruto had inheritted his mother's spirit in more ways than one. "Thus, I am the child of a Demi-Servant, who also became a Demi-Servant to the same Servant." Naruto traced his fingers along his whisker marks.

"Thus, you are extremely resistant to curses... I see... basically, you're a servant in human form. Wow, you really are the best Master a girl could ask for." Chloe kicked her boots off. Her Master was a strange one, a talented Master with a unique background. "What class are you?" Chloe asked him.

He blinked.

"I'm a Caster class Demi-Servant. I can use a few skills, like Shapeshift, and I have my own Noble Phantasm, but I still don't know what spirit I was fused with so I can't use it yet." Naruto could use some skills, but it was hard for him to say who he was fused with. Once he learned who he was fused with, he felt he would be able to use his Noble Phantasm. "Using my Territory Creation skill, I was able to make that model with some difficulty."

"Shapeshift, and Territory Creation... and whisker marks... hmmmm... well, you'll figure it out eventually." Chloe licked her lips and looked at his own.

She wondered what his magical energy tasted like.
