Ricardo makes one last loop of the house, checking on the kids, checking the doors. Even peeking in on Sofia, who is sitting at the kitchen table, reading quietly. "Buenos Noches, Sofia," he says and she looks up at him with a smile.
"Buenos Noches, mi hijo."
Ricardo smiles and continues on down the hall to his and Alicia's bedroom. She's sitting up in bed, scanning over some designs as he shakes his hair loose from its hairtie and settles in next to her. "Everyone's settled," he says. "Until the twins inevitably freak out in the middle of the night."
Alicia chuckles. "Yeah," she murmurs, setting aside her designs and rolling over to face him. "You look like you want to talk about something," she muses.
"I do," he says. "Or rather, show you something. You know how you helped me with fliers for 3 Legacies a couple weeks back?"
"Yeah. Is there something else you want me to look at?"
He nods, reaching over into the drawer of his bedside table and drawing out a slip of paper. "Tell me what you think."
She takes it, peers at it for a few moments, then looks over at him. "Ricardo..."
"We're doing a show the last weekend of March, and I'd like you to compete at it," he says. "It's entirely up to you, we can make it just be a special appearance. Or you can wrestle. Or I can just take that flier and burn it. I'm not trying to force you into anything, I just thought it'd be a fun idea, especially since you seemed to like training a bit at the school a few weeks back."
Alicia stares at the flier. Her face on it, her new name, everything. Perfect. Just the way she'd have expected Ricardo to do for her. "Yeah," she breathes.
"Yeah?" he asks, eyes lighting up.
She beams and lays the flier down on the table before pushing him back against his pillows, brushing her hair out of her eyes and straddling him. "Yeah," she murmurs, kissing him. Trailing her mouth down his jaw, to his throat. "I love you," she sighs. "I love you so damn much, Ricardo."
He beams and runs his fingers down her back, sighing as she presses closer. "I love you too," he says, toying with the straps of her tanktop. When she shrugs restlessly, he helps ease them down her arm, slowly freeing her of her clothes.
She exhales and returns the favor, kissing his stomach, his chest, his shoulders as she reveals them, finally tossing his shirt aside. "You're so good to me," she tells him, eyelashes tickling his skin with each blink of her eyes.
"You deserve it," he sighs. "You're a great wife, a great mother, I'd- I'd be lost without you- Alic-" He gasps and groans, her fingers curling in his pants, slowly tugging them down as her lips follow. "Oh god."
As she nuzzles against him, she murmurs, "I'd be lost without you too."
Ricardo exhales sharply, pressing his head back against the pillows and trying to ground himself so he doesn't get lost in the sensations too quickly, wanting this perfect moment to last for both of them. "I love you," he repeats himself again and again, fingers trailing through her hair. "So, so much."
