Sofia sits at ringside, watching as Ricardo watches Alicia run the ropes. She's training with a couple of the students, trying to get a variety of experiences on her road back to the ring at the end of the month. "What do you think?" she asks after a few moments, glancing over at him.
He smiles, shrugs. "I think considering she's been out of the ring for so long, she's doing pretty well."
"Did you ever think we'd all be here when you were commentating her matches back in 2014?"
"Not at all," Ricardo laughs.
"I knew even back then you had a crush on her," Sofia says with a smile. "You were always so excited when you were talking about her. But considering what was going on back then, it wasn't really my place to say, I felt."
"Yeah," Ricardo murmurs. "Life would've been a lot different if I had realized a lot of things sooner. But no point in looking back."
Sofia pats him. "There isn't," she agrees. "I think your life together right now can't be improved on anyway."
He smiles at her. "I agree." He leans into her warmth and sighs, turning his attention back to what's happening in the ring. "Pick it up a little," he calls, quirking an eyebrow when his students glance back out at him.
When they listen and begin moving a little faster, chaining things together a little faster until Alicia gets snagged in a pin and Ricardo switches them out with three other students, Alicia rolling out and rejoining him on the side of the ring. "How are you feeling?" he asks, resting a hand on her lower back.
"Good," she says, brushing her hair out of her eyes. "I forgot how much fun wrestling can be sometimes."
He chuckles. "Yeah, I remember re-learning that myself years back." He leans in and kisses her. "Go shower, we'll be done here soon."
"Alright." She lightly pats his cheek before heading back to clean up and change clothes.
Ricardo turns his attention back to the in-ring action, making sure everything's going smoothly. He wants everything to be perfect for the show, and Alicia being on the card makes him even more determined to see it through.
