Well hello. This is A new goal-fanfiction's new chapter. See ya next chapter.
Natsuki stood on the sidewalk in front of the movie theater, waiting for Sasuke, who finally showed up.
It was snowing, and cars were driving on the streets.
Natsuki was wearing a blue winter coat, a red hat, and red gloves. Underneath the coat were the clothes she had chosen earlier, and on her feet were brown winter boots.
"Hey, senpai," Natsuki said to Sasuke.
"You seem to be punctual," Sasuke said.
"Really. And by the way, I don't really like sob movies. I find adventure movies exciting," Natsuki said.
"Well, how about the latest Beauty and the Beast-movie?" Sasuke suggested.
"I think it's worth watching," Natsuki said, looking at Sasuke, who was wearing a scarf Natsuki had knitted, a brown winter coat, black pants, and black shoes. Sasuke didn't have gloves on:
"Excuse me, but aren't you cold because you don't have gloves?"
"I lost my gloves yesterday," Sasuke said. "And I don't get cold very easily."
"I see," Natsuki said, going with Sasuke to the cinema.
(Evening)
Natsuki sat on the couch in her living room knitting dark blue mittens for Sasuke as a Christmas present, and looked at her diary on the table in front of her, in which she had just written about her meeting with Sasuke:
"12/12/2024.
Today I was at the cinema with Uchiha-senpai to watch the latest Beauty and the Beast. I'm really happy that senpai asked me to go to the movies with him. Today I was about to tell senpai how I felt when we were leaving for home, but I made sure not to because I don't want to seem pushy, because for now I'm just trying to be content with being senpai's friend. Maybe I'll tell her at some point."
Natsuki turned her gaze to the TV, which was currently broadcasting a weather report, but suddenly the newscaster interrupted the weather report:
"Good evening. I'm sorry to interrupt the news broadcast, but this is an emergency announcement. Last week, 16-year-old Tachibana Misa went missing in Miyazu City, Kyoto. To top it all off, an invisible wall seems to surround Miyazu City, and no one can get in or out of the city. Even helicopters can't land on the landing pads of any buildings in Miyazu City. One person who went to the city described the incident as a mystery phenomenon. They are trying to contact the city's government buildings. It is very similar to the disappearance of 17-year-old Oikawa Yumi in Tottori, the capital of Tottori Prefecture, Japan, last month, and since her disappearance, Tottori has become completely isolated in the same way as Miyazu City. What these disappearances have in common is that "...the cities where the disappearances occurred became isolated immediately after the girls in question disappeared".
"Quite suspicious", Natsuki muttered. "How have I not heard of that before?"
"And that's not all. Because at the beginning of last month, 17-year-old Aikawa Hikari disappeared in Nagoya, the capital of Japan's Aichi Prefecture, and as a result, Nagoya became a completely isolated city", The news anchor announced.
"Hikari?!" Natsuki immediately became worried upon hearing Aikawa Hikari's name, because Aikawa Hikari had been Natsuki's friend since she was little, before Hikari had moved to Nagoya with her parents due to her father's job transfer. Natsuki and Hikari had kept in touch by phone and email, and had seen each other occasionally when Hikari had been to Tokyo to visit her grandparents who lived there, but Natsuki had not heard from Hikari recently, which Natsuki had found strange.
"Here are the pictures of the missing girls. If you see them, please give them an eyewitness report for the police," The newsreader announced.
A picture of Misa appeared on the television. The girl in question was thin and tall. She had short, blue hair, purple eyes, and tanned skin. She was wearing a purple sweater, gray pants, and black shoes. Later, a picture of Yumi appeared on the television. She had honey-colored, long hair, fair skin, and was wearing a pink sweater, black pants, and black shoes. Then a picture of Hikari appeared on the television, who had blond, long hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, and was wearing a light blue sweater, black pants, and black shoes.
"That's Hikari. I think I'll go to her grandparents's house and ask them if they heard from Hikari before Hikari disappeared," Natsuki decided worriedly.
