Oakwhisker felt something brush up against him, as he startled awake and turned hoping to see his mate. He instead noticed that it was Peach trying to hide himself in the thickness of the dark tabby's fur. The sky had darkened since Oakwhisker had fallen asleep, and now a small bit of annoyance rang in his mind but he set it aside.

"What are you doing?" he asked the pale ginger tom who looked up at Oakwhisker, but without saying so much as a word the young tom instead nodded to behind the tom. As Oakwhisker looked back around, he spotted Rock draped sleepily across a ledge. Confused he leaded in towards Peach. "What is going on?"

"Rock does this whenever he shares dreams with our ancestors, but he has rarely been doing it recently. I usually am not supposed to be awake for these, but I sometimes sneak peeks." Peach answered as he pressed close to the dark brown tabby's side. His whiskers trembling slightly as he watched Rock lay in the moonlight.

Oakwhisker smiled as he laid his head down and half closed his eyes, he had a feeling that he might not be meant to watch this happening either. But he was curious about what has happening, and he didn't want to leave Peach unsupervised either. As he swished his tail behind him to fully wrap the sandy colored kit beside him so that he blended in much better. Both cats staying silent as they watched the dark gray tom rest.

Rock's body twitched and shuddered in his sleep, it didn't look or seem to be a pleasant rest for the leader of the Colony. Oakwhisker could feel a tingling sensation in his paws as he continued to watch, before the dark gray tom sat up and stared up at the night sky. Lost somewhere deep in thought as the two cats sneakily watched him, before Rock dropped down to the grass below and slowly crossed over to the den shared by most if not all members of the Colony.

"Can't imagine that's a good sign." Oakwhisker muttered to Peach before he unwound his tail around the young tom, as Peach stood up but didn't stop looking at the ledge where Rock was laying. "You should get back to bed now, I don't want to anger Sparrow when she wakes up tomorrow morning." Oakwhisker added as he nudged the pale ginger kit back towards the hollowed out tree.

Peach gazed back behind him to the dark brown tabby. "Do your leaders do that too?" he asked, curiosity burning in his eyes.

"Our medicine cats and leaders communicate with our ancestors in StarClan yes, and in rare and special cases warriors and even kits can." Oakwhisker answered, as he laid his head down on his paws. "Now return to the nursery, and lets both get some rest now."

Peach sighed as he nodded in understanding, before he turned and rushed back across camp. Oakwhisker watched the young tom leave, letting out a sigh of relief as he prepared to return to sleep. The dark brown tabby's eyes drooping down towards eachother, before movement through the entrance caught his attention. Once again his eyes opened, as a large shape emerged through the darkness.

Opening his mouth, the air was normal. Everything felt hazy like he was in a dream, but he had not yet closed his eyes again. He had to still be awake, and yet none of this seemed real. As a large she-cat crossed the clearing, her physical form not showing signs of belonging in the afterlife. She was as solid as any of the living cats that were asleep in their dens, but her paws made no sound as she walked across the grass.

"Glad to finally reach you." the she-cat said as she settled down on the tree root closest to the dark brown tabby's side. "You're a difficult cat to track Oakwhisker, but I finally have found you here."

"Who are you?" Oakwhisker asked, his pelt must have reeked with fear as the she-cat adjusted herself.

"My name is Adder, I am a wild cat… but most of all I am a Seer."

"A seer?"

Adder nodded as she licked her tail behind her. "I see and understand all about those who I choose, there are many Seers of all various degrees of strength." she explained, but her eyes darkened. "Great challenges await you Oakwhisker, dangers lie in your future. I can help you get through them, but you must be willing to do everything I tell you to."

Oakwhisker thought for a second before he straightened up and held his head up high.

"What do I need to do?"
