Day 360, 1:40 PM
After slicing Shigaraki's hand mask off, Deku shoves him back and brandishes the knife he's holding, his eyes full of hate, anger, and savagery like a wolf. Not just any wolf but a wolf hellbent on killing its prey not out of hunger but because it simply wanted to.
"I will kill you," Deku declares. "I'm going to fucking kill you."
Shigaraki looks at his hand mask and gasps. "Father." He reaches down to pick up the mask.
Deku screams and charges for him. Shigaraki grabs the sleeve of his hand. Realizing he's about to use his quirk, Deku bites him in the ear. Shigaraki screams and grabs Deku's neck. Deku shoves him back before swinging the knife at him. When Shigaraki dodges, Deku leaps back. He rotates the blade in his hands before holding it in a throwing position.
"You picked the wrong day to mess with me, brother." Deku prepares to throw the knife before stopping. He picks up Shigaraki's hand mask and holds it hostage. "Stay right there or the hand gets it."
"Give Father back," Shigaraki hisses like a bear. "I'll kill you, baby brother."
"You can try." Deku steps forward, making Shigaraki step back. "I swear to God, you love this hand so much, I will destroy it. I don't know who Father is but I'll kill Father right here and right now."
"You little-"
"What have you done? What did you do to my classmates?"
"They're having a rematch with the League of Villains right now."
Kurogiri and Giran stand back. Though they have some concerns about Shigaraki facing off against Deku, they decide not to intervene in a family matter. Giran calms himself by taking a drag of his cigarette.
Deku notices the flames and narrows his eyes. He winks.
The flames from the cigarette ignite and jump out, covering Kurogiri and Shigaraki in flames. Deku uses his quirk to enlarge the flames to cover both Shigaraki and Kurogiri in large fireballs while Giran quickly stomps out his cigarette. Deku charges for Giran and thrusts the knife into his stomach. With the broker folding over, Deku bites at his jugular and rips out a piece of flesh. Spitting out the piece of flesh, Deku kicks Giran back and leaves him dying on the ground, drowning in his own blood.
Kurogiri screams in pain before opening a warp gate. Deku quickly leaps through the warp gate, hoping that Kurorigir was warping them somewhere where they could douse the flames, and sure enough, he was right.
They were here on the beach. Hat one beach that no one bothered to clean up. The one beach was littered with trash that so many heroes neglected to clean up when they had the chance. Except All Might. While he didn't clean up the entire beach, he cleaned up some of it. Deku holds onto Shigaraki's hand mask before pocketing it. Shigaraki comes through the warp gate a few seconds later and runs into the water. Kurogiri follows after him and they both douse themselves in water.
Recognizing the location of the beach, Deku calculates the distance between his current location and the school. Not exactly walking distance but also not too far away. He comes up with a plan and decides to hide in the trash and wait for his time while Shigaraki and Kurogiri finish putting themselves out of flames.
UA Dorms
Leading the horde away from the school, Kendo and Hatsume are careful not to crash and use the rough terrain of the forest to their advantage. If they were going to do this, they were going to do it properly and make sure none of their classmates got hurt. When they led the zombie horde away, they passed the dorms to their right and realized the gravity of this situation. Zombies poured in from all sides and overwhelmed the school like a tsunami hitting a house. Gasping silently, Kendo lets out a soft cry as she realizes that their safe haven is gone. No matter what they did, they lost the UA dorms. Even if they cleared out all the zombies, the League of Villains knew where they lived and they would've come back with stronger reinforcements if they didn't kill them the first time around. The last battle was at UA and they lost the school and several members of their group. Not to mention when they kidnapped Deku and sent a small team to go after them, it resulted in Aoyama and Iida both dying.
If history repeats itself, then the students are going to suffer more.
No, she declares angrily. You took our home from us but you won't take anything from us, ever again.
The bike stops near a tree so Kendo can use her one good hand to pull out her walkie-talkie. With fierce eyes and a harsh voice, she gives a command into the walkie-talkie. "Classmates, our dorms are gone. We have to leave but it doesn't mean we have to go willingly. The League of Villains took our home and surely, they're going to take more of our classmates. Don't let them win. Show no fucking mercy."
Hearing Kendo's command on the radio, Kurorio nods sternly and a sadistic glint appears in his eyes. "Hell yeah. No fucking mercy."
Jirou looks over. "They're not going to win this time."
"No, they're not."
The Kamisquad quickly heads down the stairs and when they make it to the third floor, Moonfish's spiked teeth shoot through the walls and almost land on the walls beside them. The teeth miss them by inches so Kurorio decides to take the initiative. He merges with the shadows and appears on the other side of the wall. It was one of the students' rooms and the lights were out. Moonfish is there, still trapped by the purple balls but he is slowly prying himself off by cutting away the clothing stuck to the balls.
Kurorio screams as he launches himself out of the shadows and into Moonfish's jumpsuit. He grabs the closest item he could use as a weapon: a handheld mirror. Shattering the mirror, he takes a glass shard and stabs Moonfish in the face.
"Time for your root canal, bitch!"
Kuroiro stabs Moonfish in the cheek again, taking out the teeth on the right side of his mouth. One by one, his teeth fall out and onto the bed. Moonfish launches his teeth as Kuroiro only for the boy to merge into his jumpsuit. Kurorio reappears later and stabs Moonfish in the legs.
"You won't be needing those for leg day anymore!"
Kuroiro gets on the other side of Moonfish and stabs him in both collarbones. "No white-collar job for you, buddy!" He hammers the shard into his shoulder several more times, smiling and laughing maniacally while he does.
Kurorio knew that he was a sadistic bastard. Ever since he lost his family on Day 1 of the outbreak, he had a lot of pent-up anger within him. He wanted nothing more than for the entire world to suffer the way he suffered. He wanted everyone to know his pain, and how he felt, except one person. The only girl he would dare bat an eye at.
Kinoko Komori.
She was an angel to his demon, a Heaven to his Hell. Ever since he first saw her, he was in love with her. Well, maybe not in love but he had a huge crush on her and would always get nervous when talking to her. When he was sent to Isamu Academy with her on the first day of the apocalypse, his stomach was doing backflips and he could hardly believe his luck. Sure, he had to put up with Kaminari and Jirou but he was on a trip with Komori. Of all the people in his classmates, he got lucky with Komori. When he found out his parents were dead, Kurorio was ready to destroy Kaminari because his family was still alive. In hindsight, he knew it was irrational but he was full of so much rage and grief that it clouded his senses. Then, Komori was able to calm him down instantly.
Yes, she was an angel, one that he would cherish forever.
The time Kurorio found out he was a demon was when he tortured that Bystander named Heater. It was for information at first but as time went by, he slowly started to enjoy it and even when Heater gave them the information they wanted, he continued to torture him purely for his own amusement.
I am a sadistic bastard. And the League of Villains are going to find out the hard way.
Kurorio screams at the top of his lungs as he takes the mirror shard and stabs Moonfish in the left cheek, severing his teeth from his gums. "And they said I couldn't make it as a dentist."
That leaves only the front of his teeth.
Before he can perform sadistic dentistry on Moonfish, Moonfish takes off his coat with screams that sound like a wounded gazelle and heads for the window. He jumps out of the third-story window but Kurorio manages to leap out in time. Moonfish falls halfway down before using what was left of his bladed teeth to catch himself before retreating.
Kurorio turns to the floor and sees almost a dozen teeth lying on the ground, each one covered in blood with some being chipped and others shattered completely. Kurorio looks at the bloody mirror shard and sees his reflection in blood.
"Looks like Moonfish is getting a visit from the tooth fairy."
On the second floor, Mustard knew that this was his second chance. He knew he wasn't the original Mustard and was instead a clone created by Twice but he still felt an obligation to his other half to finish the job.
Beside him were Mr. Compress, Big Sis Magne, and Spinner and each one was ready for an attack, except Twice, who was waiting outside in case they required backup. These weren't clones but rather the original. Twice wanted to create some clones for his teammates but said they declined, saying they wanted the privilege of killing these kids for themselves.
"I'll create a gas cloud," Mustard tells them. "Once that happens, it's your time to take out anyone holding their breath."
"Understood," Big Sis Magne nods.
The villains take out their gas masks, which Twice was able to duplicate when they came across a corpse in an underground tunnel where a biological hazard spilled. Though the biological hazard faded over time, the gas mask remained intact and after a few experiments, the gas mask proved to be effective so Twice made a few.
Once the villains are clear with their masks, Mustard unleashes his gas quirk on the second-floor hallway. Several students quickly leap out and onto the bus waiting for them below while others get caught in the gas cloud. Specifically, Uraraka, Tsu, and Tokoyami. The rest of the students still in the hallway make a run for the closest room while the barricade barely holds the door and keeps the zombies out in the stairwell.
"Well, well, well, looky here." Big Sis Magne steps forward and spots Uraraka and Tsu. "It's these two kitties again. I was hoping I could have a rematch with them."
One student remains in the hallway covered in gas. Mogami. He holds his breath while trying not to cough. He is on his hands and knees next to the doorway leading to the stairwell. The barricade cracks open a bit and the zombie's hand manages to squeeze through. Mogami doesn't realize it until he feels something scratch against his collarbone like a hook being dragged through his flesh.
Screaming with a closed mouth, he jumps back and clutches his shoulder.
Oh no, he realizes, I'm infected.
It wasn't just bites that infected someone; it was also scratches. Anything that led to your blood getting into contact with zombies, you were infected. He couldn't even use his quirk and he knew that any second now, he would turn into a zombie. Before he could act or think, he felt himself flying backward off the ground like Uraraka's zero gravity quirk.
He feels the space between his shoulder blades collide with something large and heavy, he lets out another closed-mouth scream and looks over his shoulder.
Big Sis Magne used her quirk to pull him forward.
"Aww, this kitten got unlucky." Big Sis Magne touches his shoulder.
This sends Mogami over the edge. Remembering the device Hatsume gave him, he pulls it out of his pocket and pulls the pin.
"Don't fucking touch me, man!"
Big Sis Magne feels herself flare up at this young boy's intentional misgendering of her and before she can respond-
BOOM!
The device in Mogami's hands goes off as he shoves it into Big Sis Magna's chest and blows up both him and the League of Villains member. Only the lower half of Big Sis Magna's body remains while the rest of her is blown to pieces. Mogami flies back with his head disconnecting from his body. Mogami's head rolls to a stop facing the direction of Big Sis Magna's corpse.
Don't ever touch me, the head Mogami thinks before the lights go out permanently.
The shockwave breaks Mustard's mask and he inhales his own gas. He falls headfirst to the ground, instantly out cold, and the gas dissipates.
Spinner and Mr. Compress observe the violence and take cover behind the wall. They gasp at the sight of their friend being blown to smithereens and feel a sense of rage overcome them. Before they can act, Mr. Compress uses his quirk on Mustard before tucking him away in his pocket.
The doors kick open and Kaibara steps out. Seeing Mustard's gun, he dives for it and picks it up. A revolver, which means he only has six shots. Mr. Compress panics at the sight of the gun as Kaibara raises it and pulls the hammer.
Mr. Compress knocks the gun away and prepares to seal Kaibara away as well. Kaibara holds his hands up before activating his drill quirk.
Mr. Compress's fingers take the full force of the drill and loses his index and middle fingers on his right hand. He snatches his hand back before stepping away.
Kodai grabs the fallen gun and aims for Mr. Compress.
Mr. Compress runs down the hall. "Gun, she's got a fucking gun!"
Spinner runs after Mr. Compress.
Kodai aims for them and fires.
Spinner screams as he feels a bullet hit him in the back. Upon hearing the sound of the hammer being pulled, he picks up the pace but is unable to dodge the second hit. This time, the second bullet lodged into his ass.
Mr. Compress and Spinner disappear around the corner and Kodai considers chasing them down.
"Fuckers," Kaibara curses under his breath.
All sense and rational left them at that moment. Even if they had been told countless times that the bacteria incident wasn't their fault, Kodai and Kaibara still felt guilt for the deaths of Kamikiri, Shimamura, and Kimiko. They had kept these feelings bottled up for so long and now with their home being taken away not for the sake of someone's survival but because of some grudge they held before the apocalypse, they couldn't take it anymore. They wanted to hunt down every League of Villains member and give them a slow and extremely painful death.
But their friends came.
Without thinking, they quickly rush to pick up the students hit by Mustard's gas. They called out to everyone to tell them that the gas cleared out and it was safe to come out. The rest of the students quickly pick up the fallen students and help them jump onto the bus. Kodai enlarges a bad and makes it fall against the door of the stairway to keep more of the zombies out and buy them some more time.
After Shoji is loaded onto the bus, they wait for Hagakure, Mashirao, and the others.
Running away, Mr. Compress and Spinner take a moment to catch their breath as they head up the stairway to the third floor. Before they could step through the door-
Punch!
Mr. Compress falls down the stairs and hits his head at the bottom after what feels like a fist connecting to his chin.
Spinner gasps. "What the hell?"
Punch!
He screams and feels his hand connect to the ground. "Who's there?"
"Surprise!"
Punch! Punch! Punch!
It was the invisible one, Hagakure! Spinner takes a few more punches before falling down the stairs. Mashirao and Tsuburaba step into the doorway after reuniting with the Kamisquad.
"Quickly, head down to the bus," Mashiro orders. "We'll take care of these guys."
The Kamisquad heads down the stairs and steps over the fallen Mr. Compress and Spinner.
Mashirao and Tsubruaba focus on fighting Spinner after Tsuburaba uses his quirk on Mr. Compress to keep him in an air prison. Mashirao, Hagakure, and Tsuburaba then go to town on Spinner and beat him senselessly. They beat them until their knuckles bleed and when that happens, they switch to their feet. When their feet get bloody, they plan on biting him to death until a gunshot rings out.
Tsuburaba screams and turns, clutching his bleeding stomach. Somehow, Mr. Compress got free of his air prison and had a gun aimed at them. Most likely, he used one of his magician tricks to get free and he had a gun compressed in a marble. Tsubraba creates an air shield and heads for Mr. Compress. He breaks the air shield and attacks Mr. Compress.
Mr. Compress manages to get a shot off in Tsubraurba's chest. The air boy snatches the gun from Mr. Compress and puts it to his throat. BANG! BANG! BANG!
With three bullets through his neck, Mr. Compress only had a second to act. He reaches into his pocket to pull out a marble and unleashes it.
Mustard appears, still unconscious, from the marble the magician grabbed.
Shit, grabbed the wrong one-
His eyes roll to the back of his skull and his life expires.
Tsuburaba smiles at the corpse before collapsing on his side, gasping for air before slowly dying.
Hagakure and Mashiro gaze at the sight of their deceased classmate but the instinct to survive tells them there's nothing they can do. As much as they wanted to carry the poor boy's body, they knew they would be slowing themselves down if they did so they forced themselves to run down the stairs and meet up with the others.
Once all the students in the building were accounted for, Monoma started the bus and headed for the open gate. They plow through several zombies before they're able to make a wide turn and get on the path leading to the front of the school. Without thinking, Monoma shifts gears before pressing on the accelerator.
King Dragon, Kendo, and Hatsuem were still unaccounted for, as were Deku, Kaminari, and the Bakusquad but they hoped to run into them on the road for now, Monoma focused on the students and classmates of his who were still alive and drove out of there.
"No," Twice says to himself. "No, no, no, this wasn't supposed to happen." After getting on the walkie-talkie to check on the status of his teammates, none of them replied. The only one to reply was Moonfish and he was muttering something about 'teeth'. Something happened to his teeth.
"Our friends, they... they're gone, aren't they? They ain't gone, man."
Twice was sitting in a tree, hiding from the horde of zombies below him as well as his classmates. He had to get in there to make sure they were okay but getting through this horde of zombies was going to be impossible by himself.
Unless he made a copy of himself.
"Am I willing to make a copy of myself? No, you're not, man! But our friends need help! They can take care of themselves? How do we know that? Bro, they're the League of Villains, they're awesome, dawg; trust me that they'll be fine. Yeah, you're right. You are right. Nah, I'm wrong, asshole."
WHOOSH!
"What was that? You already know, man!"
Twice looks around after feeling that strong wind force hit him like a brick. Holding onto the branch above him, he looks around to see where the wind could've come from. It was July, yes, but it wasn't exactly windy. That's when he sees something below him.
It was Kedno and Hatsum on Kaminari's dirtbike ride below him. They pulled to a stop under his branch and didn't even realize it. Kendo's left hand was enlarged and she was swatting her hand back and forth like a cook waving off smoke from the stove.
"You talk very loudly, asshole!" She swats harder against the air and sends more wind force at Twice. Twice perches on the branch like a monkey before he tightens his grip in an attempt to hang on.
I should've taken action, Kendo thinks. I'm sick and tired of us losing everything. You know what, fine. If you want to raid our home and take it from us, you can have it. But you don't get happy either. It's time we finally get a win over the League of Villains.
The wind force eventually knocks Twice over and he flies ten feet away...
... and right into a pack of zombies.
He knocks down the first zombie with his body but the pain of landing against a log makes him scream in pain. Suddenly, a zombie reaches down and bites Twice hard on the shoulder.
Twice screams at the top of his lungs and tries to get the zombie off but the zombie refuses to move. The zombie's hand travels upwards, grabs the front of Twice's mask, and rips it off, exposing his right eye.
NO, I'm exposed! I'm going to split!
Another zombie leans over and bites Twice on the thigh and takes a mouthful of his flesh. Twice continues to scream as more zombies pile on him and dig into his flesh with their teeth and eventually their hands. One of the zombies grabs a handful of Twice's elbow and rips it from his body before chowing down into it like a hungry man who hadn't been fed in a decade.
Even amongst the pain of being torn apart by zombies, Twice realized something.
I'm not falling apart. I'm the real me. This revelation brings a tear to his eye. I... I'm the real me. I'm not a clone, I'm the real me, and... I can't... I can't save my friends. If I had only known that I was the real me, I could've created a city of villains and we could've taken this school. I'm a coward. I should've gotten over my fear and seen if I was the real me. I'm such a coward. I can't help my friends. I failed them, I failed them. I'm so useless!
Twice's screaming ceases as the zombies make a meal out of what's left of Twice's body. Kendo and Hatsume take off after seeing the bus take off down the road.
"Come on, let's go." Kendo steers the bike as Hatsume revs the throttle and they catch up to the bus as it takes the path least crowded by zombies.
After creating a warp gate leading into the forest with the UA dorms just a few hundred meters in sight, Shigaraki steps forward and out. After hearing on the walkie-talkie that they needed help, Shigaraki tries to think of a plan. Still reeling in from the pain of being burned by his brother's quirk, he slowly takes out his walkie-talkie to call his teammates.
Before he could get a word in, Deku sprints through the warp gate and tackles Shigaraki to the ground.
After waiting a few minutes after arriving at the beach, Deku knew that Shigaraki would eventually need to pick up his teammates after their rematch with UA. That meant that Kurogiri would eventually open a warp gate to get back to the UA dorms and that would be Deku's chance to escape. After waiting, when Kurogiri opened a warp gate, he took a chance and leaped through, tackling Shigaraki to the ground before eventually finding his footing. He spotted the UA dorms in the distance and decided to leave Kurogiri and Shigaraki behind but not before Deku made Shigaraki a promise.
"This is the knife you gave me. I'm going to this knife to kill you."
Deku makes a run for it and heads through the forest. Shigaraki and Kurogiri look at him, both still feeling scorched both literally and figuratively, and were about to chase after him.
Deku emerges from the forest and onto the main road his teammates would use to drive away. Now that he's out in the open, he feels more exposed. He looks to his right and sees a yellow bus vanishing in the distance, which makes him realize that his classmates got away.
They got away, he sighs internally. They got away.
"Izuku," Shigaraki's voice calls from the forest before the perp steps into view. "I'm proud of you. You took the initiative and stabbed me first. I'm proud of you, baby brother."
Deku removes the hand mask. "Stay back, or this hand gets it." He spots Kurogiri behind him. "By the way, I think Kurogiri here should stay out of this fight. After all, it is a battle between brothers and he isn't a brother. The final showdown, right, between you and me, right?"
Shigaraki nods. "Guess you have a point." He turns to address Kurogiri. "It's time for the final boss fight, stay out of this, Kuro-"
BOOM!
An explosion goes off near Shigaraki's feet and sends him and Kurogiri flying through the air. Deku turns to his left to spot a familiar vehicle driving towards them.
It was the jeep with Bakugou driving and he had his hand sticking out, his palms steaming.
"Kacchan!" Deku runs for the jeep. "Get me out of here!"
Bakugou swerves the jeep to make a U-turn and Deku hops in the back. Kaminari moves over and sits next to King Dragon, whom they picked up in the middle of the forest a few minutes ago after he transformed back into his human form, claiming he went face-to-face with another beast and managed to push it down a cliff.
Kurogiri quickly opens a warp gate for Shigaraki to escape through before himself. Bakugou tried to launch another attack but the warpgate closed and all Bakugou managed to blow up was the ground.
"Forget them," Deku orders. "Drive off."
Bakugou shifts gears and takes off, following after the bus with all their classmates on board.
Deku finally takes a moment to relax and leans against the interior wall of the jeep.
Kaminari taps Kenta on the shoulder after removing his King Dragon mask. "How are you feeling, man?"
"Tired," the muscular tattooed dragon boy answers. "I'm so tired."
"What now?" Camie asks. "Where do we go now?"
Bakugou shakes his head. "No idea. We lost both our dorms and your hideout. We're officially homeless."
"But our classmates are alive," Deku mentions. "And that's something."
