Here's a new chapter of the Phineas puppy love story! Hope this is good enough for all of you!
Phineas had thought that whatever happened with him was gone and over with, because he didn't feel anything like what had happened for the rest of the night and through the next morning and near afternoon, but he had been wrong. As of current, outside the backyard, Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Buford and Baljeet were standing in a large baseball field, as if playing a normal round of baseball. Only they were playing in a stadium that had conveniently been built in the backyard, and in the stadium were various people cheering and applauding as the five, plus some members of the Fireside Girls getting into positions as they were squaring off against some robots that the boys had built for the "away" team. And so far, though the robots have scored three points, Phineas and Ferb's team were up by two points.
Currently, it was the changing of the inning as Phineas was coming out of the ball pit with the others. "Okay, fellas, no pressure, but it's the top of the ninth, and we have to strike those robots out if we're going to keep this lead."
"I'll say." Buford rolled his eyes as he glared at a nervous Baljeet. "I don't understand how nerd here whiffed that catch."
"I was trying to calculate the exact area where the ball would land! So I was a few inches off." Baljeet complained as he glared at Buford.
"Regardless, we're still keeping a good lead. Buford, you're our best pitcher. Just strike them out with no problem at all!" Phineas said as the bully gave a nod and a smirk. "You all know your positions?"
Everyone nodded as they gave a smile to each other, all shouting, "BREAK!" before going into their positions, with Baljeet guarding first, Ferb as the catcher, Buford as pitcher, Isabella at second, Gretchen at left field, Ginger as short stop, Adyson at third base, Holly at center field, and Milly at the right field. Phineas was serving as both coach and umpire as he was keeping a sharp eye on the field. The boy couldn't help but give a smile as he was looking over the entire stadium, as the kids were having fun, playing ball against the robots. Just as Phineas was about to call a strike when Buford threw the ball pass the swinging robot, he held up a hand.
"PHINEAS!"
Phineas looked over and gave a rather optimistic wave towards his sister. "Oh, hi… Can…"
However, he noted a figure behind Candace as she seemed to be looking around the stadium in awe. Immediately, all words yelled out by his sister had been blocked off in favor of a stunning beauty before him. It was happening again. Phineas's eyes were directly on Stacy as in his view, a small filter filled with hearts and cupids were flying around. Stacy, in his view, took a moment to flut her hair a bit as she continued to stare in awe.
"Oh, you KNOW I'm calling Mom about this!" Candace shouted in anger before pulling out her phone and rushing out, leaving behind a staring Phineas and a curious looking Stacy. The young boy bit his lip nervously before approaching Stacy, looking awkwardly. "H-hi, Stacy…"
"Huh? Oh, hey Phineas." Stacy smiled towards the young man as she turned her head. "I have to admit, this is a fine stadium you and Ferb built up. And that baseball game looks rather fun too."
"Oh… y-yeah, it is… uh… pretty fun…" Phineas stammered a bit, another oddity for even him as he looked up at her.
"Heh, you boys certainly know how to have fun. I just feel sorry for Candace for overreacting so much." Stacy paused as she looked over. "Oh, speaking of, I better make sure she doesn't blow her top when your stadium eventually leaves. Call it a gut feeling, but I think it's around that time, right?"
"Disappear… yeah… wouldn't want to go… you…" Phineas stammered out once more as Stacy stretched.
"Oh, and tell Ginger that we're leaving in about twenty minutes. We promised our mom that we'd go out with her tonight for family night." Stacy said.
"Y-yeah… I'll, uh… tell her…" Phineas nodded as he watched Stacy walk off. The young boy could almost swear that she was swaying her hips as she did so… was it intentional? An accident? He didn't know, he was too focused on the beautiful tall girl before her as he felt his heart beating faster.
In fact, Phineas was still standing in that position when the crack of the bat was heard and the stadium full of people were conveniently pried out (along with the robots and the stadium itself) by a zeppelin with a claw grabber, leaving just the kids alone as they were finishing up their baseball game with a flying ball heading straight towards Phineas.
"Heads up!" Isabella gasped as she called out the play… but the ball beaned Phineas right on the head as he fell down.
"Oh snap!" Buford said as he and the others dropped their things as they all gathered around Phineas, with Isabella, looking concerned, picking him up as Phineas was groaning.
"Phineas, are you okay?" Isabella asked in concern.
"Never… better… sweet thing…" Phineas groaned as he dazily looked up at Isabella.
Isabella's eyes widened as she actually processed Phineas's words. "Did he just call me sweet thing?" She grinned as little hearts started to form around herself. "He did! He actually called me his sweet thing!"
"Make way, make way!" Buford said as he came back with a large barrelful of water before spilling it all RIGHT on Phineas. The young boy jumped up and shivered a bit, snapping out of his trance.
"H-huh?" Phineas blinked twice as he looked around, reality coming back to him. "Oh. I guess the game is over…"
"Yeah, you missed all the strike outs, but we managed to win!" Buford smirked. "All thanks to my effortless pitching! Why didn't you call out the strikes!"
"S-sorry, guys. My mind was… sort of… elsewhere." Phineas scratched his head in confusion, before smiling. "But hey, at least we won! That's a pretty good game, if I do say so myself! Oh, uh, Ginger, Sta-" Phineas started to say, but as he was getting to Stacy's name, a small stammer began to form, before shaking his head. "Uh, your sister told me to tell you that she's leaving in twenty minutes for family night?"
"Oh, is it time already?" Ginger asked as she looked at her watch. "Then I better go!"
"I think we've all had enough fun for one day." Baljeet agreed. "See you tomorrow?"
"Yeah, I'll let you all know what I'm planning as soon as we come up with it in the morning." Phineas waved as he watched the other kids walk out of the backyard… except for, oddly enough, Isabella, who was holding her hands together and putting them towards her cheek as if sighing happily. "Uh, Isabella, are you staying?"
"H-huh?" Isabella blinked twice as she snapped out of her trance for a moment.
"Everybody else is going, so are you going to stick around… or…" Phineas paused awkwardly.
"Oh! Uh, actually, I should get going… but I'll see you tomorrow! Bye, Phineas!" Isabella smiled as she walked off, though there was a small skip in her step upon going out of the backyard.
With that, Phineas just stood there, looking around in confusion, not even registering that his pet platypus Perry had just returned back home. In fact, he was trying hard to think about what had just happened. "Ferb, you ever had the feeling that something happened to you today, but you had no idea what it was?"
Ferb could only stare and shrug as Phineas frowned, rubbing his head. "The worst part of it is, the same thing happened to me yesterday, where I black out at the oddest times. It was like… my day is normal, and yet…"
"Look, mom, look!"
Phineas and Ferb paused as they turned towards Candace and their arriving mother, with Phineas waving to his mom. "Hi, mom."
Of course, as Candace stood there, a blubbering mess, Linda Flynn-Fletcher, gave a smile towards the boys. "Hi, boys! How was your day?"
"Well, we did have a fun game of baseball today." Phineas smiled as Linda looked over the house. "We were careful to make sure no windows were smashed by accident."
Linda gave a smile. "It's so sweet that you're being careful, boys. Because if even ONE window was smashed, you two would have been in big trouble."
Candace opened her mouth as if to say something, before pausing as she thought about it. Then, she shook her head. Sure, she wanted to have her brothers busted, but even SHE knew better than sabotage.
It was then Linda noted a small bump on Phineas's head, preferably where the fly ball had landed in his face. "Goodness, Phineas, what happened to your head? There's a big bump on there!"
"Oh, uh, I got hit on the head with a fly ball. Don't worry, it was an accident, nothing malicious." Phineas explained.
Linda paused. "Well, all the same, I better take you in and get it looked at. With all the rumors of bumps and bruises being the start of an infection, you never know."
The young orange haired boy found no room to argue as he followed his mother back inside, with Ferb and Candace just watching a bit, Candace giving a groan.
"Tomorrow… there's always tomorrow…" Candace groaned as she held her head, with Ferb, all the while, picking up Perry as he and Candace went inside.
Inside the bathroom, Linda hummed a bit as she finished putting bandages around Phineas's head. "There you go. It's not much, but the bandage should reduced the swelling on that bump, at the very least."
"Thanks, Mom…" Phineas said, before giving a pause. "Hey, Mom, have you ever had one of those days where you're doing something like normal, then something happens where you black out while still conscious, not thinking about what had happened?"
"Black out while conscious?" Linda asked as she looked confused. "Well, no, I don't think I ever experienced anything like that. Why?"
Phineas frowned. "I'm just curious. I don't know, I've been blacking out at an odd time, like my mind is somewhere else, and then, I go back to reality and things are just… normal. I don't quite understand it myself…"
"Hmmm…" Linda paused as she put a hand on her chin, as if trying to think. "Has this happened often?"
"No… only times it ever happened was when Candace and St- Stacy… she…" Phineas paused as he started blushing furiously.
Linda raised an eyebrow as he noted Phineas's eyes starting to go down. Her eyes went wide in surprise, before giving a small smile. "Oh… so that's what this is about…"
She patted her son's cheek, snapping him out of it. "Huh? What happened, Mom?"
"Oh, nothing important. I wouldn't worry too much about it, Phineas. I'm sure the black outs will be gone in no time." Linda smiled.
"But why? What is causing the black outs?" Phineas asked in curiosity.
"Oh sweetie, you're just gaining a small crush, that's all." Linda smiled as she got up. "Anyway, I better go get dinner started. You just go about your day now, and don't bump your head anymore than it needs to…"
With that, she left the bathroom as Phineas just stood there, raising an eyebrow.
"A… a crush?" Phineas asked to himself as he looked down.
Up in Phineas and Ferb's bedroom, the former was sitting at his desk, writing down a list of ideas for the next day, but as he was doing so, he frowned as he couldn't keep focus.
"A crush? I have a crush on someone? Weird. I know Candace has crushed on Jeremy a few times before, but I'm experiencing a crush on someone? It feels… weird, and yet… but who do I crush on so badly that it's causing me to black out so much?" Phineas thought to himself as he tapped his head with his pencil, gently, of course, before turning to a photograph of him, Ferb, and all of the friends he made in the past.
Phineas couldn't help but smile as he looked at this photo, remembering how he took it after he, Ferb, Candace and his friends went around the world… there was Phineas and Ferb in the center… Isabella and the Fireside Girls all huddled as Isabella held a peace sign… Buford and Baljeet standing close as Buford was playfully giving him a noogie. Phineas chuckled a bit before noting Candace and Jeremy holding hands, the day the two were officially together… and then… of course…
Phineas's eyes started to soften as he looked at the smiling picture of Stacy, looking rather silly, yet having fun at the same time. Her pretty hair that shaped her frame, her cute little bow that fit on top… Phineas's eyes lowered as he sighed happily, unknowingly drawing a heart around Stacy happily.
It was then Phineas went back to his list as he was beginning to write in it… though they weren't things he and Ferb could do or build… but rather… things about Stacy in particular…
"Take Stacy on date…"
"Give Stacy best dance of her life…"
"Treat Stacy as a queen…"
"Stacy…"
"Stacy…"
"Stacy…"
Phineas sighed happily as he closed his eyes, a daydream starting to form…
"Well, my dear, what do you think?" A well-dressed Phineas Flynn asked as he was holding hands with a grinning Stacy Hirano, who was wearing a beautiful blue dress, akin to Cinderella.
"Oh, Phineas, darling, you shouldn't have…" Stacy giggled as she looked around at the nice atmospheric restaurant they were in. "You certainly couldn't have picked a better place for our date than here…"
"Only the best for my beautiful shoe-loving lady." Phineas said in a rather suave voice as some waiters came in and put a plate of spaghetti between them. "And of course, one spaghetti to share, milady…"
"Phineas, you cutie, however did you know what I like…" Stacy smiled as she picked out a noodle, with Phineas doing the same as they put the noodle in their mouth… of course, they didn't realize they were eating the same end until their lips made contact, with the two closing their eyes as the kiss lingered and lingered…
In reality, Phineas was puckering his lips and dreamily licking them as he whispered under his breath, "Oh, Stacy…"
SLAM!
Phineas jumped as he went back to reality, noting Ferb had opened the door and just came in, slamming it down. Phineas blinked twice as he looked over at his notes, yelping as he noticed the list items mostly contained Stacy's name… and looked towards the photograph again as he noted the heart around Stacy.
It was then Phineas's eyes went wide, before he gave a nod. "Ohhhhhh… I have a huge crush on Stacy… that would explain it."
And we're done with this! Next time, we'll see Phineas talking with various other characters (save for Isabella and Stacy for... reasons) to try and ask about his crush... with some various problems being either A, they'll think he's crushing on someone else, or B, try to help him get together with the person he's crushing on. What'll happen? You'll see! Until then!
