"This has to be Lewis," Fin said to Cragen as he walked around the apartment.

Rollins walks into the room with a look on her face that tells Cragen something worse is going on. "Kat must have been here too. There is blood and rope in her bedroom."

"Why would he take Kat?" Cragen asked open-endedly.

"Maybe he didn't know about her. Most people don't expect Liv to have a kid." Fin said as he headed to Kat's room.

"I want all units on this. We have a missing detective and her daughter. I want them found." Cragen says sternly.

Kat slowly found herself waking up and as she tried to move, she realized her hands and feet were bound, and something was over her mouth. She wasn't sure where she was, but it was dark. She wiggled around the best she could, and the best she could guess was that she was in a car trunk. She noticed how badly her back and legs hurt. Tears started to form in her eyes; all she wanted was her mom.

Liv was awake and sitting in the backseat of a car as Lewis drove. "Where are we going?"

"Somewhere special, and we will have plenty of fun there, just you wait." He replied happily.

Olivia wasn't sure what direction they were headed, but she felt a little better knowing that her daughter was at least alive and in the vehicle with them. "Can you please check on her? We've been driving for a while, and I haven't heard her move."

She is a fine detective. Would it really be bad if we had one less problem to deal with? He replied as he pulled over to the side of the road.

Olivia relaxed a little, thinking he was going to check on Kat, but he wasn't. Lewis opened the door behind Olivia's head and grabbed a bottle of alcohol.

"Take a drink for me," he said as he held Olivia's head still.

Olivia shook her head and kept her mouth shut.

"Oh, don't be that way, Detective. Aren't we having fun? Tell you what: you take a drink, and I will check on your precious girl. Deal?"

Olivia opened her mouth quickly as Lewis poured the liquid into it.

"Swallow or no deal."

Olivia swallowed and looked at Lewis, "Okay, it's your turn."

Lewis smirked, closed the bottle, and put it back in the car. He then went to the trunk. Olivia couldn't hear what he was saying, but she could tell Lewis was talking. Then, all of a sudden, she heard a scream.

"Kat! Kathryn, it's okay, baby. I'm here. I hear you. Just calm down." Olivia yelled as tears rolled down her cheeks. She then heard the trunk slam shut, and Lewis proceeded to get back into the car.

"I told you she was fine," he said as he turned the car back and pulled back onto the road.

Olivia couldn't even respond as tears streamed down her face.

(DREAM FLASHBACK)

Olivia stopped as another contraction hit. She swayed back and forth and breathed as she waited for it to pass. When the contraction let up, her hand instinctively went to rub her belly. Olivia sat back in the bed as the doctor walked in.

"How are you, Olivia?"

"Peachy. When is this going to be over?" Just then, another contraction hit, and a low moan escaped her mouth.

"Once this contraction passes, we will check you and see how you are progressing."

As soon as the contraction was over, Olivia got back into bed and was slightly relieved when the doctor reported that she was at a 7.

"3 more to go," Olivia responded as she prepared for another contraction.

"Olivia, are you sure there is nobody we can call? You're a first-time mother, and this can be hard to do by yourself."

"I...am...fine," Olivia muttered through a contraction.

"I will be back in a bit to check on you. The nurses are here to help if you need anything. In the meantime, focus on your breathing."

An hour later, Olivia felt an abnormal amount of pressure and paged the nurse. "I need to push, I need to push," she said frantically as the nurse came into the room.

"Don't push, Olivia. Just hold on while I check you." The nurse said as she put on a set of gloves. "Looks like you are at a 10. Let me call the doctor."

After 30 minutes of pushing, Olivia felt like she had made no progress. "Olivia, you are doing a great job, but I need one good push from you."

"I can't do this anymore. Why won't she come?" Olivia said, exhausted.

"It takes time, Olivia, but I promise that you are almost there. When you feel the next contraction, I need a really good push."

Olivia could feel the contraction starting to form, and she did as she was told. Then, instantly, she felt relief.

"Great job, Olivia," she heard a nurse say.

"Why isn't she crying?" Olivia asked as she watched the doctor carry her daughter away.

"Why is she so small? What is going on?" Olivia asked as she tried to get out of the bed but was stopped by a nurse.

"Sometimes it takes a minute; give her a second," another nurse responded.

"Cry, sweetheart, please," Olivia pleaded with her little girl. "Please."

Olivia watched as the medical team stood around the baby. Then she heard it, a small but mighty cry.

Tears started to stream down Olivia's face as the nurse brought a crying bundle back to her.

"She is so tiny. Is that okay?" Olivia asked, looking at the nurse.

"6 pounds is smaller, but she appears to be healthy." The nurse said with a smile. "Congratulations."

"Kathryn Eleanor Benson, you are so perfect. I love you, baby girl." Olivia cooed as she looked at her daughter.

(PRESENT DAY)

"Mom! Mom, please wake up!"

Olivia was awakened by a loud yell and it took her a minute to realize it was Kat.

"Kat? Kat, where are you?" Olivia yelled back, but she didn't hear a response. Olivia heard a car door slam and the car drove off.

"What's going on, Lewis? Where is Kat?"

"I decided she was an inconvenience and it was time to cut the problem out of the equation, detective. But don't worry, I left her where she could be found." He responded coldly.

Olivia felt a bit sick in her stomach and was afraid to ask. "Is she dead?"

"Not yet, but she doesn't have much time left." Lewis said as he continued driving.
