Olive backed up and tripped over Ashi's bed. He wasn't real. That's why he couldn't remember anything. That's why he felt so desperate to find himself. His name was just his item code. He touched his face. It was cold and lifeless.

He was just a program.

He was a Quirkless, emotionless program. One who had no hobbies, or friends, or family. One that had a single prime directive, that he had no idea what it was. He groped at his arm, hoping to scratch the paint off before Ashi came back home. A small red light flashed on his wrist, causing him to stop. A blue beam shot from it.

The end of the beam transformed into a hologram, where a smiling jester stood in wait for him. Olive touched the hologram, his fingers falling right through.

"Hello Olive," the jester said. "I see you finally found out that you're not real. Hm. Fawful told me you'd last a while...Oh well."

"F-Fawful? Who are you?"

He walked close enough to touch Olive if he wanted to, making him very uncomfortable since this man was a stranger. "My name is Dimentio, and I'm your owner!" He fell backwards on one foot, laying on the ground and laughing.

"My...owner?"

He reappeared behind Olive. "Yep! I own you! And I did make sure you wouldn't turn against me."

"What did you do?"

"Fawful built you with a personality, with freedom! I simply...took that away." He held a small chip between his pointer and middle fingers. "This is your brain! Look at how tiny it is! AhaHA!" He kicked his feet in childish glee.

Olive reached for it, forgetting Dimentio was just a hologram and falling on the floor.

Dimentio crouched down to meet eye level with him. "You want this back, right? So you can be whoever and whatever you want? Isn't that right?"

"Give it back."

"Ah-hang on. You need to earn it. I don't like giving away things for free, that'd be cheating."

Olive sat up, sitting on his knees. "Then when are you going to give it back?"

"You see, I'm a little trapped. I'm stuck in the very same world you are in after I took you here for a test run. My powers are going haywire! I want you to keep an eye on the teacher of your new class. He's a 'Pro-hero,' right? I don't like them. All they do is show off! They put other superhumans down for their own praise and glory."

"That sounds annoying."

"So, I have a plan to take him out! Once Mister 'big-shot-muscle-man-with-green-hair-and-no-real-powers' is out of the picture, other people, like you and me, can take our turn on center stage! Doesn't that sound fun? Being known as the one to stop the 'Pro-hero' Deku out of the way?"

"Yeah, it does. He sounds like a stuck-up nerd!"

"And guess what?"

"What?"

Dimentio rested his fake hands on Olive's shoulders. "He's making your classmates think the same way! That school is just a bunch of mind-washing hogwash!"

"But Ashi-"

"You want to save your new friend? Then spy on Deku for me. When the time is right, I'll swoop in a land the finishing blow. This world will no longer be filled with stuck-up, so-called heroes any more with your good pal Dimentio along!"

Olive nodded. "Yes! I like this! People like Deku, who just do things for fame and for glory, just drive me mad! I'm going to put an end to this, with your help."

"And when the job is done, you get this chip back with no harm done. Fail however, and I may have to take a drastically different approach."

"Don't worry, Dimentio. I won't fail."

"Good. Make me proud."

The hologram vanished, leaving Olive alone in the dark. He put his suit back on with a new confidence. Deku needed to be stopped, and he and Dimentio were the only ones brave enough to do it. He went back into the kitchen, started the noodles, and sat back down on the couch.

Ashi came back inside with his phone. "The good news is, mom's doing fine. She's finally recovering really well. Thanks for watching the house for me."

"Don't mention it," Olive said. "The noodies just started, but I need to head out."

"Oh? Well, have a safe walk then. Villains and street thugs like to prowl at night. Just be careful, okay?"

"I'll be fine. I'm just glad your mom's doing okay." Olive stood. "Have a good night!"

"You too!"

Olive left the house with a new goal, whatever his last one was. He needed to get to work, as soon as possible, to save his classmates from Izuku's mind-washing class and school. But first, he needed to find out where Izuku lived. And who better to ask than the Mayor of Hosu City? The mayor would think he's just another fan wanting an autograph. Ohoho, he was much more than that.

And he was ready for whatever came next.
