"Shit," Loki groaned, twisting and rubbing at his neck, "when will this end?" he grumbled to himself, very well beyond done with being forced to jump from place to place.
Squinting in the bright afternoon sunlight, he was glad to at least recognise where he was that time, only because he'd already been there before. It was a little different that time however, it appeared to be around the season of the human celebration of Christmas since every object that could be was wound in variously coloured tinsel and fairy lights. Another giveaway was the giant blow up Santas next to the inflatable yellow tube man, though the biggest one was perhaps the teenager energetically dancing out the front with a sign that read 'Christmas sale on now!'.
It would be nice to see Mobius, even if he didn't know who Loki was anymore, though he tried not to think too hard about that fact, and how much it hurt him. He hoped that Mobius was still working there, it wasn't a Sunday, was it?
With a sigh Loki headed for the front door of Piranha Powersports, going to wrench open the glass and timber door, only to have a family of four beat him to it. Stepping aside, he waited for them to pass through, babbling excitedly as they left before entering the building himself.
The inside of the shop was even more thoroughly decorated than the outside, so much so that Loki almost mistook Mobius for another Santa statue, what with his red Santa hat and everything. Okay, the hat was kind of adorable on him.
"Thank god you're still here," Loki murmured in overall relief.
"Of course I'm still here, where else would I be?" Mobius laughed as he strode right up to Loki.
"Uh, well, I mean, I don't know…" Loki fumbled, not having prepared to need an answer, nor to have Mobius stop so close to him.
"Come down here, I have something to show you," Mobius announced suddenly, grasping Loki by the arm, and dragging him down the other end of the empty shop, "Dale, I need you to go finalise that paperwork out the back, please," he told his co-worker as they passed the counter where Dale was working.
With a nod Dale was gone through a door, and Loki was confused to say the least. Though not as confused as he was when Mobius pushed him against the jet ski set in the corner of the ocean backdrop.
"Uh, Mobius…?"
"Hey babe," Mobius said softly with a smitten little grin, "I was really hoping that you'd drop by, set this up just for the occasion."
"Sorry, what did you just-mmhhn…" he was cut off mid sentence as Mobius gripped the lapels of his jacket and kissed him fervently, hands loosening and running down Loki's chest.
Loki managed to grab his hands and pull them away before they grasped at his hips, and pulled out of the kiss, knowing that shock was written all over his face.
"Mm, I know that was a little bold of me, but I've been thinking about this all day," Mobius told him, a look in his eyes that Loki was familiar with, "though perhaps you're right, we shouldn't while the store is open," he leaned in and whispered the next part in Loki's ear, "you could hang around after close, and once Dale goes home I'll turn the cameras off, and we could ride this bad boy together."
Loki's eyebrows nearly flew off of his head as he spluttered, heat running through his core, what the fuck was happening?
"W-wha-? Did you just proposition me?" Loki asked back, voice low with shock, and interest, but mainly shock. Last time he'd been here Mobius hadn't known who he was, now he was calling him 'babe' and kissing him, and offering to…ride him on a jet ski?
"Was it too corny? I mean, I guess that hanging up the mistletoe just so I could kiss you under it was a little bit corny, but I thought this would float your boat…if you get my drift…" Mobius waggled his eyebrows.
Loki was in disbelief, at everything, including the awful puns, and the way it was oddly working for some part of him, probably the part that desperately wanted to go along with Mobius' plans. Tilting his head back, Loki discovered that there was indeed mistletoe strung up above the jet ski he was currently pinned against.
"I, um," what could he even say? "it's not too corny," he said softly, just deciding to let himself have this moment with Mobius in case he never had another, knowing that he could be ripped away at any moment.
"So you'll hang around?" Mobius looked excited.
"I'll certainly try to," Loki promised, and glanced back up at the mistletoe, "perhaps you could…kiss me again?"
"It'd be my pleasure."
Warm dry lips moulded against his own, and Loki kissed back that time, enthusiastically, wanting it just as badly as this Mobius did apparently, his hands wandering over Loki's shoulders.
The next moment Loki felt the growingly familiar tug, and he cried, "No! Not yet!" but it was too late, Piranha Powersports was gone again, and so was Mobius, and Loki was left yelling in frustration at a bunch of trees instead with no idea of where he was.
