Here we are again!
Now before I begin, I'd like to make an official statement.
Recently, I have been getting messages/requests from commission artists regarding my RobotBoy stories. Now, while I do appreciate the positive feedback you have been giving and as much as I'd like to see my ideas turned into visual formats, I have absolutely NO interest in doing any paid commissions at this time.
Now if anyone decides to draw any fanart based on my story (as a personal hobby) during their own free time, that's perfectly fine. But I will not be agreeing to any paid commissions, so please respect my wishes.
Thank you.
And with that out of the way, let us continue.
Back in the Bay Area, Deb was still frantic about her missing son.
Meanwhile, Dwight was still having more customers look over Tommy's bedroom upstairs.
Two of the clients happened to be Kamikazi and Constantine, who not only trashed the room, but were also searching all over for a certain robot.
"Keep searching, Constantine!" Kamikazi ordered. "RobotBoy's got to be here somewhere!"
"But boss, if you would just listen—!"
"I said 'search'!"
So Constantine complied begrudgingly.
Just then, Dwight peeked in through the doorway. "Uh, excuse me. Are you two quite finished?"
"Hold your horses!" Shouted Kamikazi. "We'll be out of here in a few minutes!"
"Okay, but don't take too long. I have other customers waiting outside, you know."
"Dwight! What is going on here?!"
Dwight turned around and saw his wife standing in the doorway, giving him a glare. "I was just checking on my clients."
"I told you! This is Tommy's room! It's not for rent!"
"And I told you this room is becoming a waste of space. Besides, he's said he doesn't want to come back. Why would he care?"
"What is it with you and getting rid of his things?! He's your son!"
"Uh, excuse me," Kamikazi interrupted. "Would you mind having your discussion somewhere else? We're in the middle of a sche— I mean inspection!"
"Get in line, bub!" Shouted another customer from outside the room. "You've had your turn with this room already!"
"Yeah!" Yelled someone else. "Let someone else in!"
Soon, all the people in line, Dwight and Kamikazi were all arguing amongst themselves.
While they were fighting, Deb took notice of the crowd and noticed that many of them had some of Tommy's precious belongings in their hands.
For her, that drew the line. It was bad enough Dwight had tried to get rid of Tommy's robot in the past, but now he was letting them take his room and everything else he had ever loved.
At that point, she knew in her mind that there was only one thing she wanted to do: shout.
"IT'S NOT FOR RENT!!!!!"
That outburst left the room silent for a moment or two.
"Alright! That's it! I want all of you to put back what you took out of the room and then get out of this house!"
And so, they obliged.
That is, except for Constantine and Kamikazi. Until Deb pulled the latter by the ear. "And that goes for you too!"
Within seconds, Kamikazi and Constantine were kicked out on their keisters.
"AND STAY OUT!!!" Deb shouted as she slammed the front door.
"Fiddlesticks!" Groaned Kamikazi. "Now how are we supposed to get RobotBoy?"
Constantine rolled his eyes. "Boss, did it ever occur to you that perhaps young Tommy might have taken RobotBoy with him when he ran away?"
Kamikazi immediately realized that and facepalmed. "D'oh! Why does this come as a surprise for me? Now what are we supposed to do?"
Just then, he heard something coming from around the corner of the house. It was Tommy's brother, Donnie, beating down some trash cans (some with Tommy's face painted on) with a baseball bat.
This gave Kamikazi an idea. "I think we can use this to our advantage."
Donnie, as you can see, was having a lot of fun. "Ha! You're nothing but trash! Good riddance!"
"Ahem!"
That voice from behind made him groan. "Ugh! I was just getting to the fun part!" He turned around to see who it was. "What's the big idea?! And who are you?"
"The name is Ottomo Kamikazi. I have a proposition for you if you don't mind."
"If it's about a donation or a raffle ticket, I'm not interested."
"Oh, no. None of that. I've got something better in mind. You wouldn't happen to know a young boy named Tommy Turnbull, would you?"
"Yeah, I do. What's it to you?"
"I understand you have a bone to pick with that boy. Well, so do I. And it just so happens that I have a plan to deal with this once and for all."
Donnie raised a brow. "What are you talking about?"
"Listen, that little robot of his is still in his possession. And I plan to get my hands on it. So here's what I'm thinking. You join me, we find Tommy and his little robot, dispose of the boy, and that robot shall be mine. I get the robot, you get rid of that pain in the posterior. So what do you say?"
"Thanks, but no thanks. That fart-knocker is finally out of my hair. What more do I need?"
"This is an added bonus. And a limited time offer."
"Yeah, I'm still not interested."
Kamikazi was having none of it and grabbed Donnie by the shirt. "Now, see here!"
"Ewww! You're touching me!"
"I am trying to make a deal with you! A win-win deal! We both want the same thing! We both have a nuisance standing in our way, and they've outsmarted us each individually. But together, we can take them down for good. But this can't happen unless you team up with us!" He then throws Donnie on the ground. "So are you in or not?"
Donnie stood up and dusted off. "Listen, Tommy is my brother and that robot doll is his favorite thing in the whole world. And as much as I dislike him, I would never have thought of such a rotten, cruel, despicable idea. But you! You are such an awful, hateful, repulsive person for even thinking of it!"
Then Donnie's disgust immediately turned to admiration.
"How did you do it!? Oh man! And I thought nearly throwing him into the wood chipper was extreme. But that idea of yours is next level!" He then bowed. "I am at your service, my liege."
Kamikazi smiled. "Excellent. Constantine! Fire up the Kazi-copter! We have some unfinished business."
We cut back to Royal Woods where Lola (M) and Gus were still searching for Tommy. They kept walking around town, coming to a certain neighborhood.
But luckily, they were closer to him than they had thought. Only they didn't know.
To say Gus was beyond tired would be a stretch. "Ugh! We've been walking forever!" He groaned. "Face it, we're never gonna find him."
Lola (M) felt like giving up herself. "I hate to say it, but you might be right, Gus. For all we know, Tommy could be anywhere in this neighborhood. Who knew it'd be hard to find one certain boy in a place like this?"
"Excuse me!"
Lola (M) and Gus turned around to see a (somewhat) grouchy old man with a mustache standing right behind them.
"Do we know you?" Asked Gus.
"Name's Mr. Grouse. Hear you two are looking for a kid. He wouldn't happen to be a blonde boy with a square head, would he?"
This got Lola (M) excited. "Yes! You saw him? Where is he?"
Mr Grouse pointed over to his right. "He's over next door at the Loud house. If you ask me, those Louds have enough kids in there as is."
Lola (M) and Gus looked over to their left to find an even bigger house.
"Oh. Okay. Well, thanks mister," Lola (M) smiled.
Mr. grouse just shooed them away. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Don't mention it. Seriously."
So the two kids made their way next door.
Inside the Loud House, the Louds, Tommy and RobotBoy were all sitting down watching television in the living room.
"Gotta hand it to you, man," Luna said to Tommy, tasseling his hair. "That Human Fist dude sure can pack a punch."
"Told ya!" Tommy replied. "He's the best of all time!"
"I'll say," Lynn said in agreement. "Sure beats that time Lisa made us watch those Back to the Future movies in one night."
Lola (L) groaned. "Ugh! Don't remind me! That was such a borefest to sit through."
"I'll have you know that they are some of the most beloved films of all time, you philistine!" Lisa argued.
"Well we didn't need you criticizing all the sci-fi mumbo jumbo inaccuracies either. That was tedious enough."
"I don't know," Lana said with a shrug. "Not all the science-y stuff was boring to sit through. I liked the part about the flux capacitor. I don't know what it is, but I love the way it sounds. 'Stand back, and feel the might of my flux capacitor!'"
"I hear ya, Lans," Lincoln stated. "The whole science stuff was okay and all, but the action is where it's at."
Just then, Tommy's tummy began to rumble. "Huh, getting kinda hungry. I'll go get some snacks."
"Take your time!" Shouted Lily.
Tommy got off the couch and headed towards the kitchen, leaving the Louds alone to talk amongst themselves.
"You know what? For a blockhead, he's a pretty nice kid," Luan says.
"Yeah," Lynn agreed. "Hard to believe he came from a dysfunctional family."
"I know," said Lincoln. "I almost don't want him to leave. I mean, it's nice having a big family and a brother, but I think he would make one child too many."
"Link's got a point," Lana stated.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
"Who could that be?" Leni asked.
"I'll get it." Lincoln got up from his seat and headed to the door. Once he opened it, he found two certain kids standing in the doorway. "Hi there. Can I help you?"
"Hi. We're looking for a friend of ours," Lola (M) told him. "We thought he might be here. Have you seen him?"
"About yea high," Gus lazily described. "Blonde hair, square head, kinda geeky?"
Lincoln raised his brow. He then looked toward his sisters, who gave him a determined nod, then back at the two in the doorway.
"By any chance, does he happen to have a little robot in his backpack?" he asked suspiciously.
This got Lola (M) excited. "You've seen him?"
Lincoln didn't say a word. He just stepped to the side, just as Tommy stepped into the living room with a snack platter in hand.
"Hey guys, who's at the d—?" Suddenly, Tommy stopped once he saw who had arrived. "G-guys?"
"Tommy?"
Tommy immediately dropped what he had and ran over to his friends. "Lola (M)! Gus! How'd you find me?"
"You got RobotBoy to thank for that," explained Gus.
"Well it's great to see you guys."
"Uh, excuse me," Lynn interrupted. "Hate to break up this little reunion fest, but who the heck are they?"
"Oh yeah, sorry." He introduced his friends to the Loud family first. "Guys, these are my friends, Lincoln Loud and his sisters. Louds, these are my friends from back home, Gus and Lola (M)."
The second mention left the Louds' Lola completely flabbergasted. "Lola? Excuse me?! Come on, you guys. I've got two rules in this house: no uninvited strangers at my tea parties and only ONE Lola allowed!"
"Come on, Lols," her twin sister says. "It's not like you're the only Lola to ever exist on the planet."
"She isn't wrong, you know," Lisa replied.
Lola (L) huffed. "Whatever. This is just what we need, more guests. And not only that, but they turn out to be a low class fat boy and Tommy's girlfriend."
Tommy was taken aback. "Girlfriend?! She's not my girlfriend! No offense."
"None taken."
"Well either way, it's nice to meet you guys," Lincoln greets. "I think."
Leni then approached Lola (M). "OM-Gosh!" She squealed. "I totes love your outfit! That sky blue dress of yours is so stunning!"
Lola (M) blushed. "Thanks. Though it's more of a cornflower to me."
"And whoever does your hair? Very tres chic!"
"Okay stop," Lola (M) giggled. "You're making me blush."
"Hey! What am I?" Gus shouted. "Chopped liver?"
"No, that's what this is." Luan held up a jar labeled 'Chopped Liver'.
"Alright, let's back up a little," Lincoln said, then turning to the two new guests. "So what brings you here?"
That question immediately jogged Lola (M)'s memory. "Oh, right! I almost forgot! Tommy, we got to go!"
"Go?" He asked. "Go where?"
"Home, of course! We came to bring you home with us!"
That answer made Tommy shiver and sweat. "Oh."
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
Lola (M) grabbed Tommy's arm and started to head for the door when—
"WAIT!!!!"
Everyone was shocked at Tommy's sudden outburst.
"Uh……what's the rush? I mean, I'm in no hurry. Why don't we stay a while?"
Lola (M) was confused. "Stay? But Tommy….."
Gus began nudging her (much to her annoyance). "Come on, Lola (M). You heard him. Why hurry? We came all this way to see him, might as well make the most of it." He then spotted the television. "Oh, no way! Is that the Human Fist?!"
Gus immediately went over to the couch and took a seat.
"See? Gus has the right idea," said Tommy. "Besides, I want to show you around town. What do you say?"
"Tommy, I—!"
"C'mon Lola (M)!"
"Well……" Lola (M) was pretty hesitant. She came all the way to bring back her friend and she wanted him to come home with her, but something inside her made it hard to say no. "Oh, alright. I guess for a little bit."
"Great! Let's go!"
Tommy took Lola (M) by the hand and ran out the door.
The Louds watched them from the window inside.
Lola (L) got a sly look on her face. "Oh, now I see what's going on here."
The girls began to squeal.
But Lincoln was skeptical. "What?"
"Is it not obvious, Linky? Just look!" Lola (L) gestures. "Him, her, alone……"
"So, what's up with that?"
"Don't you see? Tommy's got his heart set on her!"
Leni squealed. "Maybe they'll go out on a date! We could plan their wedding!"
Lincoln rolled his eyes. "Get over, guys. Not every girl a guy hangs out with is a potential girlfriend. What makes this prove anything?"
Lola (L) shook her head in disbelief. "Oh, Linky, Linky, Linky. Must I spell it out for you?"
And she began to sing.
(Lola (L)) I'm seeing the clear picture here
That you all appear to miss
Those two love birds want some time alone
Pretty soon, they'll share a kiss
I can sense the smell of romance
Impossible to ignore
And if you think that this is nothing
Just look at what's in store
chorus*
Isn't it clear love's in the air?
How do you fail to see how?
No matter what you may think of it
This is a real cat's meow
(Tommy) She found me here, where I chose to stay
Who'd have thought she'd figure out I ran away?
What can I say? How do i hide
This funny feeling that I'm feeling deep inside?
(Lola (M)) So here he was, here all along
It made me fret to discover he was gone
I know he's scared. And fairly shy
He just cannot hide that feeling in his eye
(choir) Isn't it clear love's in the air?
How do you fail to see how?
No matter what you may think of it
This is a real cat's meow
(Lola (L))I clearly sense love in the air
Within the faint cold breeze
Those two lovebirds are destined to be
It's as plain as birds and bees
Even after the song finished, Lincoln was still not all that convinced.
"You girls have been watching way too many romcom sitcoms," he said.
"Boys," scoffed Lola (L) to herself. "They just don't get it."
"So what are we supposed to do about this lard ball?" Luna pointed towards Gus, who was lying on the couch in a food coma with cheese dust all over his face.
"Eh, leave him be," said Lynn. "With a guy that big, you'll need a forklift."
"Good call," Lola (L) complied. "No way am I touching that sack of fat."
"I heard that!" Muttered Gus.
That's all for now.
Now I'd like to take a minute to address the song at the end.
See, when I started writing this story, I knew I wanted to include a scene where Tommy and Lola would spend some time alone together (and yes, I'll admit, I'm a bit of a TommyxLola shipper myself), so to set the mood, I made a little love song meant to be a parody combo of Can you Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King and Something There from Beauty and the Beast.
Keep in mind, though, I am not a professional songwriter/lyricist, but I do the best I can.
Thanks for reading. See you next time.
