"Last time on Total Drama Island," Chris recapped, "I decided to slightly shake things up by sending Carly packing from the Gopher cabin to the Bear Cain." The scene flashed back to Carly entering the Bear cabin, then it changed to Shane freaking over his new look. "Shane experienced some scaly issues," Chris continued. The scene changed to Topher and Blainley's brawl. "While Greg decided to stir the pot of drama between Topher and Blainley."
...
The scene changed to the various dishes of the challenge. "Then the teams put their taste buds to the puke test," Chris continued, "With bovine testicles, live bug insect pizza and liquid roach juice on the menu..." The scene changed to everyone puking. "Not only was this the biggest retch fest this house has ever seen..." The scene changed to Zee gulping down the cockroach shot glasses. "But Zee's obscene ignorance and consumption habits finally paid off and scored a big win for his team."
...
The scene changed to Millie and Alejandro in the bottom two. "That night, things looked bleak for quitter Millie and cheater Alejandro," Chris continued. The scene changed to the Gophers joining the campfire and Sarah turning out her pockets to reveal the hidden food. "But the reveal of Sarah hiding food meant the Gophers' safety was moot and Sarah soon became the next passenger on the Drone of Despair."
...
The scene changed to the Frogs enjoying their resort trip, such as Anne-Maria and Valerie relaxing by the pool, Zee cannon-balling into the pool and drenching the two girls, Nikki and Helga singing some karaoke and then to Cameron and Scarlett tinkering with some tiny machines. "While the Frogs set sail on a weekend retreat aboard the S.S. Lap-o-Luxury..." Chris continued. The scene changed to the Bears arguing among themselves. "Others have to deal with inner team distrust or bottled up feelings..." The scene changed to Gwen and Trent talking. "Such as Gwen realizing that Carly didn't kiss Trent..." The scene changed to Greg pouring the container into a soup bowl. "Greg ruining both of Scarlett and Alejandro's plans..." The scene changed to Samey confiding in Jasmine. "Or Samey-Amy stressing out now that Lucas knows her secret, which could easily backfire."
...
The scene returned to Chris on the dock. "That last one will definitely be interesting," Chris noted while Chef walked over with a snoring Dean in his hands. "Conflicting her game with her odd feelings around the danger-prone luchador..."
"CONCHETUMARE!" Lucas screamed off-screen, then a loud CRASH! "Mi espalda..."
"See? Now that things are getting more lined out, will someone cross the line? Can someone mend the line before someone shreds the line? And in Lindsay's case, can she recognize something other than a tan line?"
"Hey, Chris," Chef spoke up, "Why did you do the team swap again?"
"Hey, its my show. I can do what I want. Watch." Chris snapped his fingers, and Chef tossed Dean into the water. "Hey!" Dean coughed out. "I was sleeping!" He got a fearful look when he saw piranhas eyeing him. "For the answers to these cliffhangers and more," Chris narrated as the fish bit Dean, "Find out now on Total...Drama...Island!" The piranhas kept biting at Dean.

It was morning. Most of the Gophers were on the beach. Heather and Lindsay were reading magazines as they shot a glare towards Leshawna, who was eating chips and glaring back. Gwen was busy writing in her journal, Bryan was nervously toying with some string and Owen was playing with a mound of sand. A fly buzzed around Heather's face and landed on her nose, but when she tried to smack it, Lindsay simply whacked her in the nose with her magazine and missed the fly. "Oops," Lindsay said.
"Lindsay," Heather scolded, "You are a total-" A loud horn honked, making Heather cover her mouth in surprise. The Gophers turned to see a yacht on the horizon. "Looks like the Frogs are coming back," Lacey noted while staring through a pair of binoculars. "You wanna break the news to her or should I?"
"You should," DJ sighed. "I might break down and-" As he bumped against a tree, the duo were shocked to see Mike fall out. "Were you spying on us?" Lacey accused as she picked up Mike by his shirt.
"I couldn't help it," Mike defended. "I feel bad for Zoey, too. I heard she lost her friend."
"We all did," DJ sniffled. "People thought Sarah was hogging food and voted her off, but she wasn't. Hey, maybe you could..."
"No, no, no. I am the last person to tell that to Zoey."
"You're not serious, are you?" Lacey scoffed.
"How can I help when I hardly knew your friend? I just can't get involved. I'm sorry." Mike walked off, leaving Lacey and DJ with a mix of confusion and concern.
Confessional: Lacey (Screaming Gophers)
"That kid, oddly enough, had a valid point. He couldn't understand how close Sarah was with Zoey. At least he's not acting like a hypocrite about it."
Confessional: Mike (Frogs of Death)
"Everything feels like it's getting out of hand. I can't even talk to Zoey properly after what happened last time. I doubt she forgave me for basically yelling at her." He sighed. "I gotta calm my nerves. Maybe Paul has a few words to say."
End Confessionals
The Frogs got off the yacht once it got to the dock. "What a weekend!" Jasmine cheered, earning jealous glares from the Gophers.
"Ow, sweet mother of mirth," Topher breathed out, "You can't buy that kind of fun!"
"I think Topher, Zee and Nikki took a real shine at those lovely ladies that served us hand and foot," Sol commented.
"Oh, those spa treatments were amazing," Anne-Maria gushed. "No more alligator elbows."
Confessional: Leshawna (Screaming Gophers)
"Psh, those should've been MY alligator elbows getting the hand and foot treatment."
End Confessional
"Hurry up, you guys!" Keith yelled behind him. "Boat's not gonna stay in port forever."
"Coming," Cameron replied as he and Scarlett stepped off the yacht. "I've got to say, I really enjoyed that little aquarium they had at the resort. You wouldn't imagine all the different and unique species they had."
"Indeed," Scarlett agreed while holding a sketchbook. "It was the perfect opportunity to sketch them."
"And just what is that?" Gwen questioned as she looked at a picture.
"A blobfish, obviously. Couldn't you tell?"
"There can't actually be anything that ugly, could there?" Bryan asked.
"What's going on?" Phoebe yawned as she stepped off the boat, then her eyes drifted to Scarlett's sketch. "Oh, what a happy little blobfish. He looks so cute!"
"Happy?" Scarlett asked.
"It does look like he's smiling a bit," Cameron noted. "And he does look kinda cute, in an odd way."
"You're all nuts," Heather scoffed.
"I brought some chocolate-covered cherry blossoms," Zoey offered to the Gophers. "Want one?" Leshawna simply tossed a sandal at her, knocking the food into the lake. "I guess not," Zoey moaned.
"The Gophers are just a little grumpy right now," Lacey explained as she and DJ approached Zoey. "Can't really blame them. But...we gotta tell you something. Come here."
"Those guys seem pretty close," Lindsay noted as she saw the trio walk off. "How nice. Oh, but why is Zeena crying?"
"Lacey must've told her about Sarah leaving," Leshawna explained. "Poor kid."
"Sarah cost us the win," Heather pointed out. "She deserves to go." She was suddenly knocked over by one of Lacey's shoes. "We can still here you!" the biker angrily shouted.
Confessional: Cameron (Frogs of Death)
"I didn't realize how much in-fighting the Gophers had. Makes me grateful the Frogs don't have that problem. At least, not a severe case."
End Confessional
"Hey, us Frogs can still keep that spa hotel since we won, right?" Nikki thought.
"What are we waiting for?" Topher replied. "Let's go!" Later, the Frogs entered the spa hotel. "Hello, Frogs," Dawn greeted. "Enjoy the trip?"
"I did," Phoebe answered. "I even had sushi on that fancy trip. Coach wouldn't try it, though."
"I don't eat bait," Keith bluntly said.
"It's not technically bait," Bowie informed him as he strutted over. "It usually uses salmon or tuna. So, you Frogs are certainly welcome to the place."
"Like we needed permission," Jo scoffed as she pushed Bowie aside. "I got dibs on the gym!"
"Okay... Well, I'm personally glad that someone dumped that tacky sheet lying around the place."
"Sheet?" Phoebe asked. "Which sheet?"
"Like I said, tacky. I mean, who does camo anymore? It-" The hotel was shaken by Phoebe's scream.
Confessional: Phoebe (Frogs of Death)
"That was BRICK'S sheet! He gave it to me! Why? Why would someone toss it away?!"
End Confessional
"Give it back!" Phoebe demanded while Keith held her back. "Give it back!"
"I didn't toss it," Bowie defended. "I just said it was gone. Someone else took it."
"We'll figure it out later," Keith assured her. "Let's just enjoy the place for now. Maybe treat ourselves to a donut?"
"Yeah!" Phoebe cheered. "Maple bacon!"
"Sounds revolting," Bowie gagged.
"Chocolate-coated pretzels aren't revolting. It's the exact same concept of sweet and salty."
"Whatever," Samey scoffed. "Have your little...creation. I am going to go for a swim in the pool."
"A good swim would be good exercise..." Jasmine thought as she followed the cheerleader.
"Just be careful," Dawn suggested. "I believe a few people are already there." Down at the pool, Ella was splashing her feet as she sat on the edge. She then noticed Ethan swimming over to her. "I think I've improved my personal best," he modestly noted. "And beat the other guys."
"Congratulations," Ella replied as Ethan stepped out of the pool. "Wish I had a medal to give you."
"There's no need. You boys coming or what?" Alejandro soon swam up next to the edge. "Well done," the Spaniard told Ethan. "That just leaves Tyler and Paul."
"Top three, baby!" Tyler cheered as he surfaced. "Whoo! Hurry up, Paul. You're lagging behind."
"I wanna enjoy my time here," Paul explained while drifting in the pool. "Besides, I couldn't beat you guys in a water race."
"Fair point," Alejandro agreed as he and Tyler dried themselves off. "But we must prepare for the challenges so we can enjoy this place more."
"Not if you decide to play dirty again. Just what was that yesterday?"
"Admittedly, a moment of weakness. I don't actually have that strong a stomach, and when Sugar pressured me into giving her my food..."
"So Sugar was in on it?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah... I didn't want to, but I also didn't want to mess with Sugar when she's angry and hungry."
"Well, it wasn't against the rules, was it?" Ella thought. "And Sugar does love to eat."
"I suppose we can let it slide for now," Ethan reasoned. "But don't let her pressure you into doing something like that again. Speak up."
"Oh, thank you," Alejandro breathed out.
Confessional: Alejandro (Confused Bears)
"They fell for that story completely. Just goes to show how gullible my teammates are. But I have a bigger problem: Greg. I know he conceived that plot to usurp my position here. However, if I try to eliminate him now, the others will certainly get suspicious. Definitely a tricky adversary to deal with."
End Confessional
"Gonna head out for some breakfast," Tyler informed the others as he and Alejandro walked out of the pool area. "See you guys later."
"Farewell," Ella replied. "Um, Paul, perhaps you should soon get out, too."
"Or you might be as wrinkly as a raisin," Ethan teased.
"Fine, fine," Paul gave in. "I am getting kinda hungry." As he stepped out of the pool, Ethan couldn't help but blush a bit as he saw Paul's physique. Ella glanced over and giggled a little at what she noticed. "What's so funny?" Paul inquired.
"Nothing, nothing," Ethan quickly replied while covering Ella's mouth.
"Yeah, right. Just why were you so giggly, Princess?"
"At, um, that interesting mark on your arm," Ella nervously fibbed. "Where did you get it? You didn't have it on the first challenge."
"It's a tattoo Melody gave me shortly before she left. Said it would protect me or whatever. If you really wanna see artwork, you should check my buddy Zack out. Head to toe in ink butterflies."
"Sounds like it took a lot of time," Ethan reasoned. "It must be-" He suddenly stopped himself short. "Ethan?" Ella asked. "Is everything okay?"
"What is she doing here?" Paul growled out while clenching his fists.
"Oh, great," Samey scoffed as she and Jasmine entered the room. "It's you. What are you doing here?"
"We're just trying to relax a bit," Ethan replied, getting a bit defensive.
"Ethan, don't-" Paul advised.
"Well, we were here first," Samey protested, "So you two should go and find another place. We don't want fleas around."
"Who died and made you queen?"
"Don't take me as stupid. I know what you're doing, and mark my words, I'm going to stop you." Paul and Samey stared each other down, almost ready to jump at each other, when Jasmine and Ethan took them by the shoulders. "I think we should let the girls enjoy the pool," Ethan suggested.
"Oh, no, we were leaving," Jasmine nervously said. "I was thinking Amy could help me forage for food reserves. Come on." She pulled Samey away while Ethan did the same with Paul. Ella simply watched the scene with confusion. "I feel like I missed something," she thought as a frog hopped next to her. "You understand any of that, Frog-a-lot?" The frog simply croaked in response. "Oh, well," Ella sighed. "Maybe I should check in with everyone else." She started walking down the hallway when she overheard some whimpering coming from the bedroom. "Hello?" she asked while cracking the door open. "Is someone there?"
"Go away," Dave moaned as he pulled the cover over his head.
"David? Are you alright? I heard you crying."
"I'm not crying. I just wanna be left alone."
"But why?"
"I don't want anybody around me, especially after..."
"Is this about the swap thing Sky mentioned and you becoming a beast? But it was fixed, remember?"
"I-I-I'm not so sure. Even someone like me knows that kind of shit is permanent to some extent! What if-?"
"David, it'll all be okay. The others seemed very sure of what they were doing. And even if you were still a beast, Sky and I would still like you."
"Why don't you tell that to your snake-mouthed boyfriend of yours?"
"Y-you mean Shane? Is that what Mister Ingrozi meant, then? Okay, then. Sky better be informed. She probably knows more than me with this subject."
"What the hell are you even-?"
"Oh, by the way, have you seen where my gloves went to? I seem to have misplaced them."
"No. But they can't be that important."
"My mommy suggested I keep them on to break my nail-biting habit and I don't want to slip back into that."
"Oh. Um, I think I have a pair of spare plastic gloves you can use in the meantime."
"Thank you, David! Now, to find Sky. Do you know where she went to?"
"I think she's running outside since she wasn't willing to be in the gym with Jo and Keith." Outside the spa hotel, Sky was dashing through some shady parts of the woods. "Come on..." she told herself. "Faster...faster!" She kept running until she collided with someone and the duo tumbled down a hill. "Oh, sorry, Trent," Sky apologized when she looked down. "I didn't see you. What are you doing here?"
"I figured with my team at the beach and the rest of you guys in the hotel, I could grab a quick bite," Trent explained as the duo regained their footing. "So, how are you faring with Carly on the team now?"
"Uh, okay, I suppose. But she needs to pull her strength at the next challenge. It's just...after what Rodney did in the cooking challenge, everybody is wary of the new guy."
"I doubt she'll throw the challenge. We're friendly, but not that friendly. You can trust her."
"Well, I must admit your word holds some weight. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt."
"Trust me; she'll rise to the challenge when needed. Speaking of which, since we're alone now, how about a race between the leaves?"
"Oh, you are on!" Sky flew off in a rush. "Hey, I didn't say 'go' yet," Trent teased as he followed her through the air.
Back at the Gopher cabin, Lucas was sleeping in bed when his hand drifted to his head, where he immediately felt something amiss. "AHHHHHHHHHHH!" he screamed out.
"Lucas!" Helen gasped as she burst inside. "What's wrong?"
"Don't look at me!"
"Lucas? Why are you covering yourself with the sheets? And why did you scream?"
"Look in the drawers. See if you can find any of my masks." Helen opened the drawer up but found it empty. "Uh, I don't see anything," Helen informed him.
"WHAT?!" Lucas cried out from under the sheets. "No, this is bad. This is bad, bad, bad!"
"Okay, calm down. It can't be that bad, right?" Helen attempted to lift the sheet- "NO!" Lucas protested while yanking the sheet back down. "I can't let anyone see me like this. If you wanna help...go and find me something else I can use."
"But-" Helen said.
"Please."
"Okay, okay, calm down. I'll see if I can find something. A hat...sunglasses...even a paper bag, if needed." Just then, a paper bag flew in through the window and hit Helen in the face. "I had to say a bag," she muttered.
Back at the spa hotel, Phoebe was looking around when she noticed Keith storming over. "Please tell me you found the sheet," she pleaded.
"No, worse news," Keith grumbled. "No sheet AND someone snatched something of mine!"
"Oh, no! What was it?"
"A, um, lucky charm I keep with me. And before you ask, I made sure I had it before we left the yacht. How someone swiped it so quickly..."
"We'll find it, coach. Maybe in this room?" Phoebe opened a door but Keith quickly closed it before she could peek inside. "Occupied," he whispered while drawing a heart in the air.
"I don't get it," Phoebe said with confusion. Keith simply pulled her away.

"Okay, everybody and their mother knows about Surfer Girl and Party Boy, but I doubt anyone knows they're THAT close."

In the gym, Priya was doing pull-ups while Millie struggled to lift herself up. "Hi, girls," Sam greeted as he entered the gym. "What are you up to?"
"Gonna start running on the treadmill," Priya explained as she quickly hopped down from the bar she was on. "Planning to be at my personal best at under a minute while running backwards."
"Isn't that record good enough?" Millie asked while dangling from her bar before dropping off.
"It's not enough. That kind of mentality can get you in trouble in these kinds of shows."
"Whoa, calm down," Sam cut in. "It can't be too bad. I mean, I don't act super serious all the time and I'm still here."
"Well, I did end up on the bottom two last time...somehow," Millie admitted. "But it was probably Al's vote. Guess he didn't want to go after losing the tiebreaker."
"Y-yeah," Priya shrugged. "He must've thrown in a name and that's it."
"But then again, he has shown discomfort with Sugar, so why didn't she get voted?"
"It's a very weird case," Sam put in. "The Bears didn't have any real reason to target you and you did do okay in the challenge despite your initial negativity towards it."
"How did you-?"
"The hall is smaller than a power-up box. I could literally see everyone... I just didn't focus that much."
"Well, that's the past and-" Priya reasoned.
"But it still doesn't make sense," Millie told her and Sam. "I don't have as many enemies and they would surely focus on someone with more connections."
"Your entire team is full of connections," Sam pointed out. "But they also are kinda-"
"IT WAS ME!" Priya blurted out before quickly covering her mouth.
"WHAT?!" Millie and Sam gasped with shock.
"Uh, did I say that? I mean, did you hear that because I'm not sure if-"
"You voted for me?" Millie questioned with an upset look. "Why?! We're an alliance! You don't do that kind of thing!"
"You know what else you don't do? Back out of a challenge! But no, you said 'flying under the radar' was good and-"
"My health is also good, too. We're lucky we didn't get food poisoning!"
"It would've been fine! It-"
"QUIET!" Sam shouted as he stepped between the two girls. "Break it up, you two. Okay, from what I understand, Priya voted for Millie because of not wanting to do the challenge?"
"Weak links are always prime targets come elimination," Priya explained. "Look at Katie, Sadie, Lara, Beardo..."
"Well, that's not always true. Guys like Caleb and Anthony weren't weak links yet they got cut. It's a lot of stuff that factors in. But Millie, Priya raises a good point. Not doing anything in the challenge won't do you any good. And Priya, Millie makes a good point with her strategy and why she bowed out of eating. Not everyone can stomach that gunk and stay well afterwards. Now, can you two make up and be friends again?"
"Okay. Sorry about the vote, Millie."
"And sorry about not trying hard enough in the challenge," Millie replied. "In fact, I think I'm gonna train up for the challenge coming up." She grabbed the bar and started pulling herself up higher. "I'm doing it!" she exclaimed.
TWEEET! "Ten hut!" a voice shouted, making Millie fall off and crash-land on Sam. The duo turned to see Jo standing nearby with a cocky smile and a whistle around her neck. "The couch potatoes too busy playing patty-cake?" Jo taunted. "Well, enjoy the honeymoon, because today, I'm bringing the pain!"
"Screw that!" Priya protested after helping Millie and Sam to their feet. "The Bears are a well-oiled team compared to you."
"And you don't have much morale," Millie pointed out.
"Listen, Book Nerd," Jo told her, "I don't need you or you lame Bears. I'm a champion sprinter, shot-putter and squat thruster, and I'm whipping the rest of these limb noodles into shape." She motioned over to Cameron and Sierra nearly. "'How to do a push-up'," Cameron read off as Sierra held up a book. "'Step one: lie on the ground. Step two: push up.'" He tried pushing himself up but ended up collapsing. "We're gushing with envy," Sam sarcastically commented while rolling his eyes.
"Ow!" a voice screamed outside. Sam and Jo looked out the window to see Echo stumbling around. "Why the hell are you here, Ghostface?" Jo demanded. "Winners only."
"Sorry," Echo called out. "I'm kinda blind with my hair in my eyes. I usually have a clip to hold it back, but I think I lost it. Have you seen it? It's red, like the color of Mars."
"Why should I care?"
"I think you should care," Sam suggested. "This isn't the first incident of something going missing. My Game Guy, Lightning's protein powder, Sarah's spray paint..." However, he saw that Jo was already leaving. "And she's gone," he sighed.
Inside the kitchen, Tyler scooped up a plate of meaty stuff. "There's protein in that, right?" Lightning asked as he walked over.
"I don't know," Tyler shrugged while Lightning grabbed a plate. "I didn't cook it. But it sure beats Chef's food."
"Your chi is looking shrunken," Dawn noted as she walked over with her plate.
"Chi?" Lightning thought. "Which muscle is chi? Whatever; doesn't matter. Lightning does NOT do shrinkage! Give me that!" He grabbed Dawn's food and started chowing down. "This maple-bacon stuff is delicious!" Zee gushed between bites of a donut.
"Do you even have taste buds, Zee?" Valerie gagged. "It makes that spaghetti worm gunk seem tasty."
"I wouldn't mind some more of them," Sugar put in. "But this works, too." She gorged herself on a plate of donuts and meaty gunk. "I think I'm starting my diet right now," Valerie muttered.
"Attention, campers," Chris announced over the loudspeakers. "Breakfast is cutting into precious time that you can spend time getting injured. Grab your swimsuits and meet me at the dock, pronto." A few campers moaned. "You have ten seconds to exit the spa hotel before I release...the raccoon," Chris warned.
"The raccoon?" Anne-Maria repeated. The campers laughed it off until they saw a huge crate getting lowered down. A humongous raccoon punched the crate open and roared, making the teens scream as they bolted outside. Lightning and Sugar wheeled in a cart full of food. "Hey, where are you going?" Lightning asked.
"Who cares?" Sugar shrugged. "More for Sugar!" She started eating but Lightning yanked some away. The duo kept tugging over it, unaware of the raccoon's shadow lingering over them.
"I guess it's a good thing we weren't in the hotel," Bryan noted as he saw the other teams running up.
"What's the matter with you, McLean?" Bowie scolded. "That thing could've killed us!"
"Nah," Chris replied with a chuckle. "Only if you got between him and food. Hmm, Team Rat and Bears, seems like you're still missing a player." The raccoon roared before tossing Lightning out. Another roar sounded, with the raccoon getting tossed out. "MY food!" Sugar scolded while walking out of the spa hotel. "No one touches MY food!" The other campers simply had fearful looks as they started at Sugar. "I think I prefer the raccoon," Ethan confessed.
Later, the campers were in their swimsuits, save for Shane and Lucas. "Don't mention the bag," Helen whispered to Lindsay as she saw Lucas with a paper bag on his head. "He's a bit sensitive with that."
"Alright," Chris announced, "Here to help us get today's competition underway, our lackeys."
"I am not a lackey," Dean scolded as he and Stan rowed a canoe over to the dock.
"And we are demonstrating only," Stan reminded Chris.
"Relax," Chris replied. "No demo needed. Just chum the water and try not to get eaten."
"That's not very funny," Carly reprimanded. "Uh, what are the guys chumming the water with?"
"Leftovers from the previous owners of the camp."
"Gross," Dean gagged while pushing the bucket of chum away. Some splattered on the canoe, which Fang chomped through. "So not cool!" Stan cried out as the two boys huddled on the safe end of the canoe.
"Challenge part one," Chris explained. "Each team must get a pair of water skis in an underwater mission...or drown trying. One victim, I mean, camper, will snag the skis in an old-school diving suit and float them to the surface while the rest of their team pumps them oxygen. First two teams to surface their skis wins and gets an advantage in part two."
"Who's diving for the Rats?" DJ asked.
"I can handle this one, dudes," Geoff assured the group. "I'm good around water."
"Fine, then," Scott shrugged.
"Listen up, maggots," Jo told the Frogs, "I'm diving."
"Hey," Anne-Maria protested, "What are you saying? None of us can do it?" Jo put the helmet on Cameron, making him collapse. "Jo makes a solid point," he groaned.
"Listen to Chicken Legs," Jo instructed, "Get busy pumping air, and don't make me use my whistle." She reached for her neck but found nothing. "Alright, who took my whistle?"
"Let's think this one through, Gophers," Lacey reasoned. "So, first of all, Owen and I can't fit the suit. Second, Gwen's phobia of burying alive disqualifies her. Panicking will lead to using up oxygen and giving us unnecessary work. Third, I don't think Echo makes the cut considering she's a stumbling mess right now." Echo walked right into the water, solidifying Lacey's point. "That leaves seven candidates: Leshawna, Heather, Lindsay, Trent, Bryan, Helen and Lucas, and why do you have a bag over your head?"
"I like it, that's why," Lucas countered.
"So, uh, who's diving?" Owen asked. However, everyone stayed silent. "Oh, come on, guys," Lacey groaned. "We can't lose another challenge now. All the other teams outnumber us."
"If I may toss a suggestion," Bryan spoke up, "Perhaps we can draw straws for who dives? Odd length loses and goes diving."
"Sounds fair enough. Start drawing." Bryan held up some straws in his hand, with Leshawna picking the first one. "Long," she said.
"Long," Trent stated after pulling out a straw.
"Long," Heather confidently remarked, earning glares from Leshawna and Gwen.
"Ooh, this one looks pretty," Lindsay gushed as she pulled out a pink straw. "Oh, and it's long, too." Lucas pulled out his straw next. "Fuck," he realized as he got a much shorter one.
"Short," Bryan noted. "Sorry, buddy. Odd length dives." He placed the helmet onto Lucas's head. "How do we decide who dives?" Carly asked the Bears. "I'm up for suggestions." She suddenly had the helmet slammed onto her head. "Time to prove your loyalty to your platoon," Sugar declared.
"You could've at least asked first," Ethan pointed out.
"It's fine," Carly assured him. "I don't mind diving. Just make sure I have air."

"Argh! How can one girl get on my nerves so much?! I'm usually patient with everyone, even people like Blainley and Destiny. But Sugar? She better be gone soon or I will lose it."

"Ready?" Chris announced after the divers were suited up. Jo glared at her competitors, with Lucas returning the glare. Carly took a breath to calm herself while Geoff remained completely chill. "Go!" Chris shouted. The divers floated down and started to run towards the skis. However, Lucas and Geoff were held back by Fang tugging at their air lines. "AHH!" Lucas cried out.
"Tired already, Soft Serve?" Duncan asked as he saw Sam struggling to pump air.
"One side," Lightning declared as he shoved the gamer into the water. "This is how you pump air." He quickly pumped air down to Geoff's suit. "We gotta go faster!" Heather ordered. "Faster!" She started pumping the air rapidly. "Wait, don't!" Helen warned. "Too much!" Fang rushed towards Geoff and Lucas when their suits bloated up with air, making the mutant shark bounce off. "Go, Jo!" Cameron and Sierra rallied. "Go, Jo!"
"You better get those skis, girl!" Anne-Maria shouted. Shane was pumping air when he noticed Ella and Sky walking over. "Uh, hi," he greeted through his scarf. "Um, good thing you're not diving, huh?"
"Why are you still all bundled up?" Ella asked him. "It's all warm today."
"I, um, just prefer wearing this."
"But you didn't before. Is everything okay, Shane?"
"Fine, just fine. If you don't mind, I wanna try to keep Jo alive right now." Ella tried to speak but Sky simply nodded her head no before pulling her back a bit. Meanwhile, Shawn was pumping air when he noticed Jasmine motioning him to come over. "Hey, can you guys handle the pumping now?" he asked Dave and Tyler while passing the pump towards them. "Got something to take care of."
"Uh, okay..." Dave slowly replied. Shawn went over to Jasmine. "Uh, you wanna talk?" he wondered.
"Uh, yeah," Jasmine replied after Samey gently nudged her. "It's about what happened earlier. I'll admit I...overreacted a bit."
"No, it's fine. I guess I shouldn't have left you in the dark, so to speak."
"It's just a game, you know. No point getting all nasty over it, right?"
"Yeah, totally. So...agree to just play the game for now?"
"Agreed." Unknown to Jasmine, she was standing on Jo's air hose. Jo was about to reach her skis when she found herself out of breath. She tugged on her air hose, though Jasmine didn't notice. "Hey, get off the air hose, bozo," Anne-Maria scolded as she pushed Jasmine off. Jo let out a breath of relief as air came to her. "Hey, don't push her!" Shawn protested as he slapped Anne-Maria away. "Huh? Ew, I got gunk on me. What is it? What is it?! It's not zombie goop, is it?!"
"Looks more like orange paint," Jasmine noted as she saw Shawn's orange palm.
"Oh, no, no," Anne-Maria declared, "NOBODY disrespects the tan!"
"Girls, please," Shane pleaded. "Don't-" However, Anne-Maria shoved Shawn and Shane away, knocking them into the water. "Get back!" Sky warned as she pushed everyone else away from the water splash. She and Ella screamed as scalding hot water drenched their skin, leaving most of it lobster-colored. "What the hell happened?" Shawn coughed out as he surfaced. "Huh, warm water. But I didn't pee. Ahh, warm like a sauna, though. Hey, it's getting hotter. Hot, hot, HOT, HOT!" He screamed as he jumped out of the water and into Jasmine's arms. "Oh, my," Ella thought as she glanced at the zombie prepper. "Uh, I'm sorry, team, but I must check on something."
"Ella, ow," Sky winced as she saw her running off. "Where are you going? Ow, ow, ow." She hobbled after her, wincing in pain at the scalded skin. "Ella?" Shane asked with concern after he surfaced. "Ella?! Sky? Where did you-?" He glanced over at Shawn, still huddled in Jasmine's arms. "I think I got the messsage," he whimpered before swimming to shore.
Confessional: Shane (Frogs of Death)
"Oh, it's pointlessss. Ella would never like a freak like me, especially after hurting her! I'll be an outcast forever!"
Confessional: Jasmine (Frogs of Death)
"I don't know what Shane did, but he better not try it again. Did you see those girls? They'll be lucky if those burns aren't permanent."

"Mister Ingrozi?" Ella called out as she ran inside the cave. "Mister Ingrozi, are you here? I need to talk to you."
"Ella, what are you doing here?" Sky inquired as she reached her. "We have a challenge to do, remember? Plus some medical aid for these first-degree burns." Suddenly, the cave closed off and water started dripping from the ceiling. "What's going on?" Sky stammered. Water rushed down, filling the cave completely. Sky started flailing in the water while she held her breath. "Sky?" Ella asked. "Huh? Hey, it's breathable water! Sky, calm down and breathe. It's okay." However, Sky still kept panicking. "Mister Ingrozi, can you stop for a minute, please?" Ella requested. "My friend can't breathe."
"Well, this is a first," Ingrozi chuckled as he swam over, though he now appeared as a shark-panther hybrid. "No one has ever approached me directly before." Sky shrieked as he saw the demon. Ingrozi simply snapped his fingers, and the water quickly vanished from the cave. The two girls fell to the floor, though they were drenched head to toe. "I'm alive," Sky coughed out. "And hey, no more burns. AH! A DEMON!"
"It's okay, Sky," Ella assured her. "He's a nice demon. And actually, I needed to talk to Mister Ingrozi."
"Let me guess," Ingrozi hypothesized as he returned to normal. "It's regarding Shane, isn't it?"
"How did you know? Are you psychic?"
"No, but I had a feeling you would return after he was revived."
"So, Shane is also a demon now?" Sky realized. "What did you do, huh?! That's my friend!"
"It wasn't his fault," Ella defended. "But...wasn't that mean snake guy the one that attacked him?"
"Indeed," Ingrozi answered. "Virod, the demon of spite. And he is often responsible for turning humans into demons if anything or anybody crossed him. And before you ask, only the one that changed him can reverse the process, and I highly doubt Virod would do that."
"Damn it," Sky cursed. "So now what?"
"How come Shane didn't just tell me he became a demon?" Ella thought.
"Perhaps he fears your rejection, wingless angel," Ingrozi suggested.
"Why would I reject him? Shane is still Shane, demon or not. And I still love him with all my heart."
"Then I suggest you tell him that before his fear consumes him."
"Yet you're a guy that thrives on fear," Sky pointed out. "Why help out, then?"
"I said fear, not psychological torture. Now, then, I'll let you sort the rest out." The cave entrance opened again, and the two girls were flown back by a hard gust of wind. "See?" Ella spoke up. "He wasn't so bad. At least, compared to the other demons, right?" Sky simply muttered a groan.
Confessional: Sky (Confused Bears)
"While I am rightfully weary of demons, that guy does bring up some good things. Shane should come clean. He has nothing to worry about regarding him and Ella. Plus, the scalding water was a freak accident. We won't hold a grudge over that."

Back at the beach, Bridgette was collecting some seashells and putting them in a garbage bag. "I didn't know you collected shells, Dawn," Echo noted as she walked over to her.
"It's Bridgette, Echo," Bridgette corrected. "And yeah, I think they're pretty neat. Um, do you need help getting your hair pulled back? I'm not sure if you can see well."
"Nah, don't trouble yourself. I'm okay." Bridgette winced as she heard Echo crash into a rock. "OW!" Echo moaned.
"This is taking forever," Scott groaned. "I gotta whittle something. Wh-where's my lucky shark tooth? Julia must've stole it!"
"As if I'd make myself a target by doing that," Julia protested.
"You were involved in theft before. Wouldn't be shocked if you did it again."
"MK clearly stole that stuff, remember? Video evidence proved my innocence."
"Yeah, she ain't no thief," Sugar defended while strutting over. "It's that Carly chick you gotta watch out for."
"Carly?" Julia and Scott wondered.
"Oh, please," Valerie protested as she and Anne-Maria joined the group. "She couldn't steal a TV in a riot."
"And ain't she already rich?" Anne-Maria added. "Why steal anything?"
"She's been on two teams," Sugar reasoned, "And she's taking it to mess with our minds. How come I didn't think of that? It's brilliant!" Julia and Scott simply shared an odd look. "As if," Anne-Maria scoffed. "There's no proof that... Hey, hey, where's my hairbrush?! Oh, that is it! Carly's getting a beat down."
"Easy to accuse someone who can't defend themselves," Valerie noted. "There are far better suspects to watch out for, such as Heather or Duncan or even Topher."
"Willing to bet on that?" Julia warned.
"I'm telling you Carly's not the thief! Now knock it off."
Confessional: Valerie (Frogs of Death)
"I'd normally wouldn't defend someone so blindly, yet I have a strong feeling Carly's innocent. I bet someone from the Alliance is making moves without telling us."

"Almost there," Carly muttered. "Ugh, but I'm behind Jo. Maybe..." She tore off the diving suit and started swimming towards the skis. "Hey, that's not fair!" Jo protested.
"Still got the helmet on," Carly argued while untying the rope on the skis. "Got it! Heads up!" The Bears' skis started floating up to the surface. Meanwhile, Fang was bobbing Geoff and Lucas when the air hose snapped free. Geoff slammed into the Rats' skis, freeing them and making them float up to the surface. "The Rats and Bears win the first challenge," Chris announced. Geoff screamed as the air in the suit deflated, making him buzz around in the air. "We did it, guys!" Carly cheered as she surfaced.
"Nice going, Carly," Millie congratulated. Back in the water, Lucas was spinning wildly in the water, knocking Jo over in the process. He jetted by a sharp rock, ripping his diving suit and helmet off. "Lucas, aren't you coming up?" Gwen asked as she tried to peer into the water. The Gophers gasped as they saw the diving suit and air hose float up. "Lucas, get out of there!" Helen shouted. "You're running out of air!"
"I hope he makes it," Echo gulped, though a smile was hidden behind her hands.
"Oh, dude, he's gonna drown!" Owen cried out. "Chris, call the lifeguards!"
"Don't have any," Chris shrugged. "Budget didn't allow it."
"What?!" Helen gasped. "We have to help him NOW!"
"Just try to follow me," Samey whispered to Jasmine. Before the Australian could respond. "Oh, like, hell no!" Samey declared. "You're not getting that advantage!" She quickly dove into the water. "Amy, what are you doing?!" Jasmine shouted.
"Looks like she'll stop that idiot," Valerie cheered. "You go, girl!"
"But we already won," Tyler told her with an angry look. "And Lucas could be drowning!" Samey swam as fast as she could until she saw a shape in the water. Found you, she thought. Lucas was trying to swim when he noticed a glimpse of Samey's shadow. He tried to turn around, but Samey was too quick and started pulling him up to the surface. "Let me go!" Lucas protested. "Let me go! Let me go!"
"Give me that key!" Samey shouted, trying to keep up the ruse. Jasmine quickly pulled the duo out of the water. "Lucas," Helen breathed out as she ran over with a towel, followed by Gwen and Trent. "Are you-?" The luchador grabbed the towel without lifting his head, used it to cover his face and barged through the campers, with the only thing anyone caught with their eyes was a mass of wet black hair. "Looks like he left with just shame," Jo teased after she surfaced. "But I got the skis."
"What the fuck is your problem, Amy?!" Helen lashed out while Gwen and Trent held her back. "He could've drowned, witch with a B!"
"I, uh..." Samey stammered, a little shaken, but she quickly composed herself and scoffed. "I was making sure he didn't take the skis, loser Gophers."
"Yeah, tell them, girl," Valerie bragged while making the 'L' taunt with her hand.
"Why am I not surprised a grade-A bitch like you is supporting her?" Paul scoffed.
"You're just jealous I have better friends than you," Samey whipped back. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go freshen up for the next part of the challenge. TTYL, dorks." She strutted off, but as soon as she was out of sight, she started running in the same direction Lucas went in.
Back on the beach, Bridgette picked up another shell when she noticed Shane crying nearby. "It's okay, buddy," she assured him. "I'm sure things will look up for you."
"Bridgette?" Shane thought as he faced her, his face now uncovered. "While that's nice and all, I doubt it'll do any good. I have to be realistic; Ella could never love me after...this."
"I don't know. Esmeralda seemed to like Quasimodo a bit. Having a few scales won't make a difference."
"But I've hurt her and Sky. How will she-?"
"Shane, listen to me. Nobody's perfect. I'll admit I'm a bit of a klutz and I may not be super-smart or super-pretty. Yet Geoff likes me despite all those flaws. I know Ella will still love you, flaws and all." Just then, Geoff crash-landed on the beach. "Dude, that was totally awesome!" he whooped.
"I can see you had fun," Bridgette giggled while giving him a hug.
"And I'll give you two sssome space," Shane decided before heading off.
"Lucas?" Samey called out as she entered the Gopher cabin. "You in here?" She saw Lucas lying on the bed, his face covered by his pillow. "Why did you run off like that?" Samey asked with concern. "You had not only me worried sick, but your whole team, as well, including Helen."
"I...I don't wanna talk about it," Lucas stammered.
"Talking will make you feel better." Lucas simply tugged tighter on his pillow. "I heard about your masks getting swiped," Samey told him. "Are you that bashful about your looks? Is that it?"
"You'll just laugh if you saw my face," Lucas muffled.
"Oh, come on. It can't be worse than someone like Paul or Valerie. I promise I won't laugh, buddy." Lucas thought about it for a moment. "Okay..." he gave in. He lifted himself up, making Samey go silent. She saw Lucas's tanned cheeks, shaggy black hair, slightly crooked nose and a bushy beard. "Wow..." Samey breathed out as her cheeks heated up a little.
"I knew it," Lucas tearfully lashed back. "You hate how I... wait, what?"
"I'm surprised you were hiding such a cute face all this time."
"Cute? No, you're just saying that."
"I'm being honest here. Who told you you didn't look good?"
"I don't have enough fingers to count them. Everybody outside my family just cast me aside, saying they didn't want to be associated with a freak like me. The only guy that did was Matteo, but we live hundreds of miles apart. Me in Argentina, him in Peru... I hardly had a steady companion."
"I had no idea," Samey admitted, "But I do understand how you feel. I've spent years getting bullied by my twin sister, with her scolding me for every slip-up that happened and critiquing my appearance for so long that I hardly felt like a real person and just a punching bag for insults. Before I came to this show, I didn't have a single friend. Any I did try to make, Amy would make them push away from me and stay away."
"Oh, Sammy," Lucas breathed out, "That sounds awful. Guess we're both the outcasts around here."
"No kidding. But Lucas, I must ask: why hide behind that mask?"
"Well, with all the bullying I faced, wrestling was the one place I took refuge in. The masks were a way to not only link with the energy wrestling had, but to keep people from mocking and teasing me."
"I see. I understand how it feels wearing a mask like that to conceal your true self. I hate having to act like Amy around the others. But it's not the mask that defines you, Lucas. It's who's underneath it. And I tell the guy under the mask is one of the sweetest and kindest guys I have ever known. Then again, I don't know many guys, so-" Samey was taken aback by Lucas's hug. "Thank you, amiga," he tearfully told her. "Thank you." Samey started to tear up herself as she returned Lucas's hug. "Uh, we should probably get back before the others start asking questions," she reasoned. "Are...are you okay with that?"
"I am now," Lucas assured her with a small smile. "Let's go. Uh, probably apart since it might kinda..."
"Just give me a minute head start. It'll be enough." The duo smiled before Samey started running off.
Confessional: Samey (Frogs of Death)
"Oh, poor Lucas. The guy is more than deserving of a hug right now. Not to mention how much we had in common... God, I hate this masquerade shtick. But if I reveal myself, Chris might disqualify me and Lucas will be so broken up. What to do..."
End Confessional
"The Bears and Rats are the first to grab water skis," Chris announced. "Their reward...a McLean brand speed boat to use in part two of the challenge."
"Awesome!" Priya cheered. "Thanks, Carly."
"And for the Gophers and Frogs...a totally leaky dinghy."
"Aw, rats!" Jasmine groaned.
"You called?" Scott teased before adding, "Suckers."
"Did we win?" Geoff asked as he and Bridgette joined their team. "I can't remember if we did."
"Not yet," Bridgette noted. "But we will soon."
"Part two of the challenge," Chris continued, "A death-defying water ski race. The goal? Be the first to ring four bells on these totally harmless buoys." The canoe Stan and Dean were in drifted to a buoy, and the duo were knocked back by the explosion. "Chris!" Dean scolded as he clung onto a buoy. "You little prick!"
"Make that three bells," Chris corrected. Stan screamed before crashing onto the dock. "See?" Chris told him with a smile. "You totally got to demo for the challenge. Who will cry for their mommy? And whose cries will be drowned out by explosions? Find out when we return." Stan let out a sooty cough.
(cue commercial)
"Before the break," Chris narrated, "The Rats and Bears got sweet dibs on a speedboat, which they'll need. Meanwhile, the Gophers and Frogs are stuck dodging water mines in a leaky dinghy that couldn't float in a kiddie pool."
"Sha-burn!" Lightning teased.
"Choose at least three campers to water ski, one to drive and one to operate your gull cannon."
"Gull cannon?" Dawn gulped with worry.
"Yeah, you heard me." Chris pressed a button, raising a shooter on all four boats. "First-person shooter," Sam gushed. "Cool."
"Each team gets three chances to shoot the bells," Chris explained. "Or the other team. Especially the other team."
"This seagull looks abnormal," Cameron noted as he, Scarlett and Sierra peered down.
"Oh, that's not a seagull. These babies are half seagull, half rattlesnake, all with paralyzing venom." A seagull screeched, making Cameron run off. "Such a peculiar creature, is it not?" Scarlett thought.
"Don't think of bringing one home for a pet," Keith sternly told her. "Barry is quite enough."
"Whichever team rings the most bells wins," Chris finished.
"Ooh, I'll drive," Zoey offered. "If that's okay with everybody."
"Whatever," Jo shrugged. "I'm gunning."
"Nikki and I ski?" Helga suggested.
"No, I'm much better at skiing," Samey bragged as she strutted towards the group. "After all, I totes have the perfect swimsuit for it."
"Wicked style indeed," Anne-Maria agreed. "I'll go, too."
"And Cameron and I better keep an eye on both of you," Jasmine recommended.
"That shrimp?" Valerie scoffed. "He'll slow us down." However, she ended up ignored as the Frogs prepared for the challenge. "The nerve!"
"I'll drive for us Bears," Ethan offered. "Miss Priya and Sir Shawn, can you handle shooting?"
"No problem," Priya assured him. "I've got plenty of target practice in."
"Oh, I can be a skier," Millie offered.
"Nice, Millie. Who's joining her?"
"Destiny and I can," Paul suggested.
"Count me in, too," Tyler added.
"And me," Sugar declared as she strutted past, knocking Tyler over. "I've got great water skills and no dressy-pants to screw us over."
"Great," Ethan replied with a hint of sarcasm as he walked towards the boat. "Just peachy."
"You seem a tad upset, Ethan," Alejandro quietly noted as he approached him. "But perhaps you can channel that anger to motivate yourself in the challenge. And possibly avoid punching Sugar's lights out."
"Not a bad idea. Thanks."
"We need as little skiers as possible to maintain good speed on our raft here," Lacey told her team. "For that, I'm electing Lindsay, Helen and Gwen on ski duty."
"As the only other capable Gopher here," Heather offered, "I'll drive. Now who's shooting?"
"Me," Lucas replied. The Gophers turned to see the unmasked Lucas standing behind her. "You okay, Lucas?" Helen asked him as she hugged him. "We were getting worried."
"I'm good," Lucas assured her.
"My, my," Leshawna chuckled, "Why have you been hiding a face like that all this time, hon? Didn't want all the chicks flocking towards you, hmm?"
"The guy does have a rather nice face," Bryan admitted.
"I-I-I have a Tyler!" Lindsay stammered. Lucas smiled a bit. "Let's win this thing already!" he rallied. "WHOO!"
"Lightning's driving," Lightning declared. "Sha-boom!"
"Shotgun!" Scott called out. "Been shooting kitchen rats with my Pappy since I was six."
"I'll ski," Julia and Bowie said simultaneously. "No, I'LL ski!"
"You can join me, Dawn and Geoff," Bridgette offered. "I've been hoping for a water challenge."
"We'll rock this for sure, dudes!" Geoff cheered. Chris blew his air horn to start the challenge. Lightning revived off, dragging the Rat skiers into the water. Ethan also revved his team's boat up but it stopped suddenly, jerking the Bear skiers into the water. "Hey!" Destiny coughed out. "You did that on purpose, Galahad!"
"Sorry, guys," Ethan told them. "Just getting used to the controls. Let's go!" He sped off again, dragging the Bears behind the boat. The Frogs started off a bit slower, making the skiers splash into the water. As Heather started her boat engine up, it started making a weird noise. "Oh, come on!" she groaned. "Work!"
"Uh, are engines supposed to do that?" Lindsay asked as she pointed to the boat's engine, which now had black smoke coming out of it.
"Our engine's on the fritz?" Owen thought. "Oh, puzzling pepper jack! Why is our luck so sucky today?!"
"We don't have time to fix it," Lacey noted. "But I can tell what's up. Cooling system ain't working. Just keep the boat slow so the engine doesn't overheat and bust completely."
"But we'll fall behind!" Heather protested.
"Not if we're accurate with the shots," Lucas assured her. "I think I can see a bell. Drift towards the right, Heather." Heather started the boat, which puttered slowly ahead.
"Sha-zoom, baby!" Lightning cheered. "We got this in the bag! No way those losers will catch up!"
"Yeah, great," Scott blandly said. He looked over to Bowie, who simply had a stern look before subtly nodding his head.
Confessional: Bowie (Toxic Rats)
"This might be a rare chance to get Julia packing if we lose. However, in order for Scott to work his magic, I need her eyes away from him. I gotta think of something."

The Frogs were skiing faster when Fang started to approach them. "Drive faster!" Cameron shouted.
"It doesn't go any faster!" Zoey yelled back.
"I think Princess Goody-Goody is trying to sabertooth us," Anne-Maria reasoned.
"You mean 'sabotage'," Nikki corrected.
"Whatever."
"Helga take care of it," Helga assured them. She simply punched Fang in the nose, driving him away. "Nice one, Helga," Nikki told her. "I bet Rodster's smiling at home."
"Any bells yet?" Destiny asked while the Bears kept skiing.
"Spotted one," Priya replied. "Just gotta-" The bell was rung, making the mine explode. "Great shot, Priya!" Millie cheered.
"It wasn't her," Shawn corrected. "I think the Gophers did it."
"Impressive shot, Lucas," Gwen complimented. "How'd you do that?"
"A lot of first-person shooting games," Lucas admitted. "Let's see if I can get lucky twice." He aimed his gull cannon again and fired, managing to hit another bell. "That's two points!" Heather cheered. "One more point and we'll be safe for sure."
"I can see the Frogs behind us," Millie noted. "They're starting to catch up!"
"Aim a gull at Helga," Shawn instructed Priya. "If we knock out the skiers, they'll slow down."
"Shouldn't you save the gulls for the bells?" Ethan thought.
"Got a plan for that. Fire away, Priya!" Priya nodded before turning the gull cannon to the Frogs. She fired two gulls that hit Helga on the shoulders. "Helga!" Nikki gasped. "Hey, stay with us!" Another gull hit her on the shoulder, and both girls fell into the water. "We're down two people!" Anne-Maria gasped.
"Yes!" Shawn cheered. "Sorry, Jasmine, but like you said, just a game."
"I'll be getting you!" Jasmine shouted back, though she had a small smile. "Anne-Maria, help those girls to shore. We'll finish the challenge." Anne-Maria nodded before diving into the water where Nikki and Helga were drifting at. "We've gotta slow down the others," Jo decided. "Eat gull, losers!"
"Wait," Zoey warned. "We only have three gulls. We need to save them for the bells."
"Of course, but we need to slow them down in order to catch up." Jo fired a gull, which hit Lightning in the back. "Lightning's been hit!" Lightning cried out. "Lightning..." He slumped over and fell unconscious. "Sweet," Scott muttered. "Oh, no! Lightning, look out for those reeds!" The Rats' boat drove into some reeds, slowing them down. "Aw, rats," Jo teased as she and the Bears sped ahead. She aimed her cannon at a bell but a gull got to it first and blew the mine up. "Nice shot, Jo," Samey complimented.
"That wasn't me," Jo corrected.
"The Gophers have rang three bells!" Chris announced. "They win!"
"Yeah!" the Gophers on the dock cheered.
"How is that possible?!" Sugar complained. "They had the slowest boat! And now we got no ammo!"
"We've got ammo," Shawn assured her as he pulled out a slingshot and some nuts. "You always carry a long range weapon with you."
"Will that even count?" Ethan asked.
"Sure it will. Watch." Shawn fired a walnut at a bell, hitting it and making the mine explode. "That's a point!" Priya cheered. "We are back!" A shot fired past them, exploding another mine. "Nice one, Scott!" Bridgette cheered.
"Yay..." Scott said before muttering, "Stupid gun. That shot should've been way off."
"How about we ensure those lousy Frogs lose?" Bowie suggested out-loud. "If we wreck their boat, they can't get any points. Julia, you game?"
"Let's sneak underneath the boat so they can't see us coming," Julia replied.
"You've got it. The rest of you Rats just be careful, okay?" Bowie and Julia jumped into the water just as the Bears sped past. "What are they doing?" Millie wondered.
"I think I caught them swimming under a boat," Paul recalled. "I think. Kinda hard to hear over the water."
"We got another bell!" Priya exclaimed. "That's two points!"
"Only two mines left in the water," Ethan noted.
"The Rats can either get them or the Frogs could force a tie with us," Millie thought. "Even if we don't get a mine, we'll still be safe from elimination."
"Then how about we try what those Rats are doing?" Paul suggested. "I'd really love to see those Frogs attend an elimination. Priya and Shawn, with me."
"But Paul-" Ethan protested.
"Go for it, guys!" Millie rallied. "Take those Frogs out!" Paul, Priya and Shawn jumped into the water and started swimming towards the Frogs' boat. "We're losing!" Samey cried out.
"I see a bell!" Cameron shouted. "But it's pretty far away. Unless you're an Olympian, we won't reach it in time."
"Us cheerleaders do flips like that all the time. Jasmine, launch me!"
"But the explosion afterwards..." Jasmine thought.
"No time! We need this point!" Lightning was still mumbling as the Rat boat sped ahead. "Guess you better pull over," Scott suggested. "Look out!"
"Keep away, you overgrown guppy!" Dean scolded as he whacked Fang with his bait bucket. The Rats sped past, with Lightning getting the bucket on his head. "Hey, my bucket!" Dean complained. "Now what?" He winced as Fang growled at him. "Protein," Lightning slurred, "Yum." He fell over, slowing down the boat til it stopped. Bridgette, Geoff and Dawn screamed as they got flung into the boat. "Are you sure about this?" Jasmine asked Samey as she held the cheerleader up with her free hand.
"Just trust me," Samey assured her. "Launch!" Jasmine tossed her and she did a flip before ringing the bell with her feet. Jasmine quickly scooped her up just before the mine exploded. "We're on the board!" Jasmine cheered. "Nice one."
"I think I saw my life flash before me," Samey breathed out.
"Uh-oh. I see something else. Bogeys, twelve o'clock!" Jasmine pointed to where Julia, Priya, Shawn, Paul and Bowie were swimming at. "What are they doing in the water?" Cameron wondered.
"I think they're gonna try to wreck our ride," Jasmine reasoned. "We gotta stop them."
"Just let me pick 'em off," Jo chuckled.
"No, don't. We only have two shots left compared to their five people. Save the gulls for the bells."
"So what do we do?" Zoey asked.
"Just keep driving as fast as you can," Samey instructed, "And whatever you do, don't touch the water."
"What are you planning?" Jasmine thought. She then got a surprised look as a vein of electricity crackled through Samey's fingers. "STAND CLEAR!" Samey shouted. She shot the electricity into the water. Bowie and Paul got a fearful look as they saw the currents and tried to swim away. However, they, along with Priya, Shawn and Julia, screamed in pain as they were zapped. Samey, Jo, Jasmine and Cameron saw the water bubbling up before Shawn and Paul surfaced. "We got them!" Samey cheered.
"Take that, losers!" Jo taunted.
"Sorry, Shawn," Jasmine told him, "But like you said, it's part of the game."
"I guess I deserved that a bit," Shawn joked.
"We didn't!" Paul scolded. He noticed Priya, Julia and Bowie drifting in the water, still dazed from the zapping. "We'd better get back to shore," Shawn reasoned as he dragged Priya behind him. "Millie's right: we have enough points." He swam to shore, followed by Paul carrying Bowie and Julia.
"The Frogs are ahead!" Dawn gasped.
"And we lost our skis," Geoff groaned.
"Blame him," Scott said while pointing to a snoring Lightning. "He stopped for chum."
"Everyone, calm down," Bridgette instructed. "I have a plan. Geoff, you drive. Dawn and I will have to ski with Lightning. That should do it."
"And Scott," Dawn added, "Don't you dare fire any more of those defenseless gulls."
"Promise," Scott replied. He shot another gull into the sky. "Starting now," he quickly added as he saw Dawn and Bridgette frowning at him.
"Yeah!" Geoff cheered as the Rats' boat started speeding ahead. "Way to go, Bridge!"
"Look," Zoey noted, "The Rats are back in the race."
"Not for long," Jo slyly replied. However, her gull cannon started spurring. "What? This stupid thing's jammed." The gun exploded, covering Jo in feathers. "Oh, my gosh," Zoey gasped, "Are you okay?"
"Look out!" Jo shouted. The Frogs' boat crashed on a rock, making Samey and Jasmine fall into the water while Cameron landed on a boulder. "My thoracic vertebrae," Cameron groaned.
"Those poor, naked gulls!" Dawn cried out. "This is worse than that class field trip to the chicken nugget factory."
"I see the last mine!" Bridgette exclaimed. "Hit it and we win!" Scott simply hid his nervousness.
Confessional: Scott (Toxic Rats)
He toyed with a pointy rock. "No way we can win. Winning will ruin the plan. So I gotta to be smart. Smart like- OW!" He accidentally poked his eye with the rock.
End Confessional
Scott aimed the cannon at Geoff and fired a gull at his back. Geoff slurred a bit before passing out. "Oh, my gosh!" Scott gasped. "Geoff's unconscious somehow!"
"Scott, grab the wheel!" Bridgette shouted as the boat sped out of control.
"Can't; I'm the gunner."
"Nice driving, Red," Jo scolded.
"I'm so sorry, guys," Zoey apologized.
"It's okay," Samey assured the team. "Look. The last bell is just over there."
"Time to take one for the team, String Bean!" Jo rallied to Cameron.
"And by 'take one', you mean...?" Cameron asked. Jo tossed the bubble boy towards the bell. Meanwhile, the Rats were still out of control until the boat crashed, sending Bridgette and Dawn into the water while Lightning was left flying. The two boys screamed before they collided with each other and landed on the bell. "No explosion?" Chris complained as he watched the scene from the dock with his binoculars. "Not cool." He then saw a huge explosion from the water. "Sha-boom!"
Later, the Frogs were on the beach while Cameron lied in a stretcher. "Aw, yeah!" Anne-Maria cheered.
"Nice one, Cameron," Zoey complimented.
"You really came through for us, Beansprout," Jo told him. "Well done." She was suddenly pulled back by Scarlett. "Be grateful that we didn't come in last place," the brainiac told Jo. "Otherwise, you would've been the one leaving."
"Yeah, right," Jo scoffed. "You forget our alliance, Bookworm?" She winced as Scarlett crushed her hand. "Do not try that stunt again or you will regret it," Scarlett warned her.
"Oh, man," Geoff groaned as the Rats washed up to shore.
"Geoff, are you okay?" Bridgette asked.
"Yeah, I'm good. But how did that gull get to me?"
"Jo must've had a lucky shot," Scott shrugged.
"Jo?" Bridgette countered with a bitter tone. "Or the guy that shot kitchen rats with his pappy?!"
Confessional: Bridgette (Toxic Rats)
"Jo's gun was jammed and the other teams used up their ammo already. The gull that hit Geoff could only have come from our boat. I swear by the great Earth Mother, I will expose Scott for the monster that he is!"
End Confessional
As Bridgette stormed out of the confessional, she didn't notice a shadow hiding nearby. "Don't bet on it, little mermaid," a voice cackled. Later that evening, the Rats were inside their cabin. "We lost?!" Julia complained, her hair now a frazzled mess. "We had that advantage. How can you fuck up so badly?!"
"I can't help it if the other teams got lucky," Scott defended.
"Says the guy that fired a gull into Geoff's back!" Bridgette countered.
"What makes you think that?" Harold asked.
"It's the only explanation. The Gophers and Bears used up their gulls while Jo's gun was jammed."
"Scott sabotaged us on purpose again!" Julia scolded.
"No, I didn't," Scott fibbed. "Why would I do that? I know I'm at risk if we lost."
"He makes a valid point, Julia," Bowie defended.
"So does Surfer Girl," Duncan pointed out.
"But what about the thief on the island?" Dawn put in. "It could possibly be Julia."
"I am not the thief!" Julia shouted.
"Beef!" Lightning slurred out before falling on his bed again. The Rats then heard a loud BUMP! from outside. "Sorry," Echo moaned as she wobbled inside while holding a trash bag. "Maybe I do need that hair trim. What are you talking about?"
"Nothing," Sam quickly said.
"Nothing," Lightning repeated.
"Hey, is that my bag of shells?" Bridgette wondered.
"Yeah," Echo replied. "You left it on the beach and I wanted to return it. Here." She walked forward but stumbled on her feet, dropping the bag and spilling its contents. The Rats all gasped at what was lying on the floor: every stolen item from camp. "Jo's whistle!" Sam realized. "Scott's shark tooth!"
"Sarah's spray paint," DJ noted as he picked the items up, "Lacey's bandana..."
"Lucas's masks and Ella's gloves," Bowie added. "Even the rattan rug Phoebe was moaning about."
"My protein!" Lightning exclaimed as he reached down to get it, only to crash onto the floor. "I've missed you!"
"Bridgette..." Harold thought as everyone turned their attention to the surfer girl, "You're a THIEF?!"
Confessional: Echo (Screaming Gophers)
She was tossing her hair clip in the air while leaning on the confessional wall. "Yeah, I stole that stuff. Even threw in my hair clip for good measure and played up the stumbling idiot to keep suspicion off of me. While letting Shark Bait take the fall would've been good, Seashell Scavenger was starting to get too smart for her own good. All I had to do was slip all that useless junk into her garbage bag. There's only so much room for us 'innocent' little girls on this island." She started to laugh when she suddenly heard 'Reveille' before getting blasted into the air by sewage water. "AHHHH! OH, THAT INTERN BASTARD! I KNOW YOU DID THIS!" Just outside, Bryan was smirking as he heard Echo screaming.
End Confessional
"I am telling you I didn't steal that stuff!" Bridgette defended as everyone, save for Geoff, glared at her. "I was framed!"
"Forget that," Anne-Maria argued. "You're getting a beat down!" She attempted to storm towards Bridgette but Jo held her back as she blew her whistle. "Back off, Helmet Hair," Jo barked out. "This one's mine!"
"No, she's mine!" Helen shouted as Lucas held her back. "You stole from my friend!"
"Oh, come on, dudes!" Geoff defended. "Bridgette's no thief. Someone set her up. It must've been Scott! He shot me in the back!"
"Scott couldn't do that," Zoey told him. "There's no point in it."
"You can't defend this guy! Or call Bridge a thief! It's like saying Amy's Samey or Echo's evil. It's just not true!"
"But it is true!" Lacey scolded. "Bridgette has the proof in her hands!"
"And nobody steals from me!" Keith angrily added. "Let me at her!"
"Guys, calm down!" DJ shouted over everyone. "This is a Rat problem, and we'll deal with this Rat problem tonight." Everyone started to walk off, leaving Bridgette all by herself with her bag. "Miss Bridgette," Phoebe realized as she and Keith returned, "You still haven't returned Coach's lucky charm."
"What lucky charm?" Bridgette asked.
"Don't play coy," Keith scolded. "You know what I'm talking about. Hand it over!"
"All that's left are the shells I collected." Bridgette saw a little dog figurine fall out of the trash bag. "What's that?" she thought.
"Mine," Keith bluntly replied while scooping it up. "Now let's go, squirt. And keep a tight grip on that sheet. Don't want Sticky Fingers here grabbing it again." He pulled Phoebe away by her cape, though she saw Bridgette have a dejected look on her face.
Confessional: Phoebe (Frogs of Death)
"I...I don't know. Miss Bridgette looked so sad, and she looked confused about Coach's lucky dog charm. If she took the stuff, why act that way? But I am glad to have Brick's sheet back. It even still smells like those boots he wore."
End Confessional
Later that night, the Toxic Rats were at the campfire ceremony. Duncan, DJ, Harold, Austin, Bowie, Julia and Geoff were in the back row while Lightning, Courtney, Sam, Dawn, Scott and Bridgette were in the front row. "After an episode bursting with betrayal," Chris began as he held a plate of marshmallows, "It's the Rats who have backstabbed the best. The following campers are momentarily safe. Bowie, Austin, Duncan, Sam, Courtney, DJ, Harold, Dawn, Geoff and the artist formerly known as Buckethead."
"Sha-bam!" Lightning exclaimed after catching his marshmallow.
"The next marshmallow goes to..." Julia glanced over to Scott and glared, while Scott looked between her and Bridgette. "Julia," Chris said. Julia smirked after catching her marshmallow. "And tonight's big loser is none other than..." Bridgette shot a glare towards Scott, and the duo eyed each other. "..."

"...Bridgette," Chris announced.
"What?!" Bridgette and Geoff gasped. Scott let out a sigh of relief as he caught his marshmallow. "You actually would rather keep someone who would literally shoot you in the back?" Bridgette inquired her teammates.
"But you stole from us," DJ countered. "Not cool!"
"That's totally bogus!" Geoff protested. "Bridge ain't a thief!"
"Not according to popular opinion," Scott remarked. He was then hit in the face by a swing of Bridgette's bag. "I just hope you get what you deserve," she declared before storming off. Later, she was seated inside the Hurl of Shame. "Wait!" Geoff called out as he ran up to her. "I don't want you going. And I believe you weren't the one stealing that stuff."
"Aw, you do?" Bridgette sighed.
"Course not. You're my girl! Ah, I just wish we had more time together."
"Maybe there's enough time for a goodbye kiss?" The duo puckered their lips and leaned closer, but Bridgette was hurled of before their lips touched. "Or not," Chris teased. "Might Scott be the next one gone? Or could it possibly be Geoff?"
"Hey!" Geoff complained.
"Find out next time on Total...Drama...Island!" Out on the lake, Dean was still clinging to the buoy as he saw Fang's dorsal fin swim by. "Hello?" he called out. "Somebody? Anybody?!"

Episode 40 is here! Yes, we are still trucking along. And we have another couple getting split up, with Gidgette being the unlucky pair. And poor Bridgette ended up getting framed by villainous Echo herself, though Bridgette and Geoff suspect Scott of being behind the frame-up. Ooh, interesting.
We also had a lot of interactions, such as Sky and Ella, Priya with Millie and Sam, Jasmine and Shawn, Samey and Helen with Lucas... Speaking of which, did you expect that reveal of Lucas's face?
Next up will be a nice, relaxing trek up the mountain...the sticky mountain? And what's that buzzing sound? Until next time, enjoy and have a good day.
