Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 98: Truths And Past Decisions III
Flashback II:
"They think everything given in hospitality is tanked, it doesn't matter which country it is, it's tanked, so every time I tried to get real food in my body. It's they purge it, I'm even more wiped out on returning to said planet, then I am going there. In knowing they find out, I immediately tried to get some nutrients in, they're immediately here. In putting me back in detox, from it, Sirs, dad." he said and Landry nodded. "Dead man walking here." Jackson said sternly to that.
"Well just your complexion says it all to us, you're as pale as ghost, you're having frequent hotflashes, you're so anemic you're having dizzy spells here. I bet just having a full stomach, is enough as the said food eaten now, is enough to put you under right now." Schreiber said and Hoffman nodded in stern agreement. "Well just returning from gate hopping for the next week, is enough to wear him out now, says it all to us right now." Coyote said to him in response.
"Once our characters get a look at you you, it's we're seeing that, as big brother or sister is trying to put the weight back on you now, you look like Chris had on return from Windrixville." Schrieber said and Jackson nodded sternly. "Hold still." Hoffman said sternly, putting his hand to the back of his neck, and his eyes narrowed in concern. "You're running a fever here, in fact you're on the borderline, if you don't some real food into you, you're going to get sick now."
"Yeah this is abuse alright, they beat him, starve him, it's indoctrination to the highest degree here right now, he resisted this long, but now. Now, it's time for the healing to begin, by good food, plenty of rest, and just safe under the care of my third character. Of course that leads to one severe drawback, the patient gets too emotionally attached to their psychiatrist at times. Fortunately, I'm playing a family friend, so not a problem." he said and the trio nodded then.
"Well that explains, in addition to why you look this pale, they're starving you right now, what is this, anything that doesn't come from America is drugged, is that it. That Americanized versions is the way to go, not the authentic version to it?" she said in shock and he nodded with a sigh. "I can't get the real nutrients in my body, because even dad thinks that they're out of their minds. It's a psychosis, I never felt stronger last year, after being there." he said and they nodded.
As he turned it back on, and Sam went pale, realizing this was enough to get them both killed, because they were starving him. "What are you saying Captain, as it seems to me to what they done to nurse him back to health. Said is combined with the effects of the technology, and enough it's not done healing the damage. That if 5 doses can cause this, it's clear his body is not done healing yet, though he's practically buzzing here."
"And with energy, and weall know energy drinks do to a person, and with them, nutritional milkshakes, you could be blowing this out of proportion. Or is this you're furious he did the research on order of the medical and psychiatric teams. This could just be connected to the monetary amount he brought back and abandoned you. And there in the mines." he said and the duo jerked at the stern jab, and she tried to say it then.
"Hold on, he had orders to do the research, why didn't anyone tell us that?" Jack said and he crossed his arms."Covert operations, you were never meant to know, Colonel, this was between him, Teal'C, me, the quintet, his cub quartet. Jerry, Jake, and the president, and you're trying throw him to the wolves, right now. Simply because it's effects make you brutally honest." he said and they started shaking in fear at that news.
Now realizing he knew what they were trying to do. "His remark on 'little research', he meant that literally, they asked for a detailed research battery on the technology. And with it, find anything worth trade here, and we're bringing in a medical score. Said worth over 895 octillion and it's enough to create some interesting side effects. But I don't see that as a reason to report him, when you insulted him and the princess."
"As all she was doing was helping him with the research, Anna was standing there, listening to entire exchange, she explained everything to me. And it may have been cruel, but he was right, you should, at this age be married. And with two children young lady, your father wants you to settle down. As he just told you our opinion, no matter how cruel it sounded, you insulted him and he threw it back at you now."
"So no, I'm not having him confined, simply because he told you the truth, however brutally honest it maybe then." he said and they both paled at that, as she tried to find an excuse to keep him from leaving. "Sir, I think he needs to be confined, he is clearly addicted to the effects…." she started to say, and he cut in. "I could see this as an attempted by the NID, they really willing to kill 75 people, to get out of scrutiny."
"Because the effects of that serum, if what Pyrus told me was true, it's not the sarcophagus, but the control serum for medical arrests. That could turn him into a feral wolf, and he could go on a rampage, till the timer wears off." he said sternly to her as, Daniel walks in and sets some papers on Hammond's desk. "Point taken, she's starving him, because she believes everything off world is drugged." Coyote said to this sternly to this.
"Hank, we got 70 people going to the observatory here." Carson said and he nodded. "Clean out the commissary, we're taking everything in the kitchen, and doing this camping style. Still the same food, but he gets a balanced diet this way and you can restock everything. As the 9 days go by right now George, you can restock your supplies, after this, the base is downtime now. As we got the fieldwork starting now." Landry said and Hammond nodded sternly to the decision.
"Agreed right now, Sergeant clean out 3/4's the pantry and freezer, and set up of your grocery list, nobody is going anywhere. So we're a normal base till the ten months are up here, as everyone needs a 10 month recharge." he shouted and the base cooks nodded, as they headed for the commissary kitchen. And starting putting in everything, that needed to stay cold, in coolers then, the non perishables. and into boxes then, and moved everything then finally.
Onto 4 MALPS, to be sent through to the observatory. "That's real food, not this processed crap that is the MRE's, so like being on Mac's digsite, we're doing the same thing here. Real food, balanced diet, and just working off the caffeine in one way, by draining it here. By the right food, that's less sugar, no caffeine now." she said and Henderson nodded. "And this is your first experience at being at archeological digsite, and bringing plenty of food to hold you guys."
"But with 70 to 80, and this base holds 350, that's quadruple the customary meals going into it, and we need to keep our strength up." Catherine said and Landry nodded. "Yeah and once the crash hits, he's in deep sleep, and there is no coming in after us now. This gate is being moved to Antarctica, it takes that many days to put up the new one right now. There is no escape, as trying to find us, Maybourne sends the team after us, and we got 50 soldiers ready here."
"And awaiting for Neumann right now, so sorry gentlemen, knowing you're involved with Maybourne, we're making sure all radio silence. The bastard has no idea where we are, but as you would give that threat to Danny, the wrong people. How about you pissed off us, his new command right now." he asked and Makepeace paled at that. "Yeah when going to a hospital now, we try to get you to 75% before we release you, but you still looked 50% here."
"But I don't call MRE's, barbecue or pizza the 5 basic food groups, you need real food, to get that weight back on you, look at you. You're so exhausted you're close to passing out, you're too thin, you need the 3,000 calories a day. That your body is supposed to have here, that this is illegal, in the Geneva Convention." Henderson said and Jack started shaking in fear, realizing his hatred of hospitality then, was causing him to lose the weight, that their hosts put on Daniel.
"Standard case in working in a dig, that it's only 7 days, followed by repeated balanced dieting at the Enterprise now, double helpings of everything now. But I guess, to you, you little shit, anything not American in food, is drugged or poisoned?" he asked and Jack went pale, realizing the implication then. "So the other countries, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Greece, China, the best foods in the world, they're all poisoned to you, because you got drugged when drinking here."
"When on duty?" he asked and Jack started shaking violently in fear, realizing they caught him in the act, he hated getting different country foods, unless they came from his country. And were not imported, he stuck to the americanized version to them. "The crap you're eating is all fast food versions, of the best food on the planet here you little shit. As such, you're starving yourselves, to keep from getting drugged, because you never followed the rules here now!"
"Young man you realize you're starving him like this, he looks like Chris, after only a week on the run, but these are our planetary countries we're talking about. What the hell is the matter with you, it's earth food, in the ring, the first of many, as each ring. It provides the necessary nutrients for a balanced diet?" he said sternly and they paled, never thinking just fasting all the time from eating the required nutrients, had the medical and psychiatric brass pissed at them.
"But I guess that's the problem want to pretend to be in a warzone, that's fine, but the SGA is accepting hospitality, getting the food their bodies so desperately need right now. So you got the endless warzones here, we get the meet and greets, and get to dine on the best food. All over the planet, in a colony ring version to it now, so can it, he's not coming back here. Not after we spent 10 months getting the 50lbs back on him again." he growled and Jack swallowed hard.
"Knowing you're a sadistic little brat, it's I'm getting my cub gang away from you right now, you little bastard, but let me tell you. Our sides are enemies starting now here, after what you did to him, he's never coming back here, ever buster." he growled and he swallowed hard then, now realizing once he saw that episode, he was screwed here now finally. "Well knowing what goes into the new MRE's we create now, is everything in the 5 basic food groups, is carbs, protein."
"Calcium, minerals, vitamins, small batch of fat, sugar and plenty of water, that's lunch and dinner, morning now. And I know you love orange juice in the morning, next to coffee, but you're taking a break from the caffeine, son. So to fix that, and Ghiradelli is making dark hot chocolate cocoa, you can drink that, 2 glasses, that's it now." Henderson said and Daniel nodded gently, in knowing the older man was working at getting the weight back on him again.
'Yeah there it is, I been cubbed right now, completely, 16 trapped in my adult body, in his eyes, back to the 6 years he raised me, he's acting that way again.' he thought and Landry hid a chuckle, knowing immediately what the younger man was thinking. "I never got the serum yet, but I been cubbed here again." Daniel said and the psychiatrist with a bemused smile. "So as to that, it's just preventing the nightmares from getting worse, best to see you 20 years younger."
"I'm not sure, but I'm finding out, we need to run a full medical scan, once we get there, so baby, after we get settled here, it's I'm running a physical, as I get you checked out. Followed by the conference call and we get to work." Pulaski said gently and Daniel nodded to her. "And I find out now, so help me god people, you are facing charges here of forced starvation. And on civilians, you realize that's a war crime!" Landry said and they all went white in fear at that.
"He's losing weight, he's so anemic, this one test of gate hopping repeatedly is wearing him out, and it's going to take 5 months to fix that, you little bastard." Henderson said and he started shaking violently in fear, realizing he was completely screwed. "Just what the hell are we supposed to think here, after you tried to kill him last night." he said sternly and he swallowed hard, realizing as far as they were concerned, he was guilty of everything Maybourne was.
"But sexual abuse, starvation, blackmail, there's no escaping the charges here, you're as bad as the interrogators, in your line of work, you little brat, so you're being confined. But you're starving him, depriving him of the food your bodies truly need here right now. To keep from getting drugged a second time, blackmailing him by threatening us, to get him to comply. You just cost him 3/4's his blood supply, to make him so weak, you can do again right now here."
"Just what the hell are we supposed to consider here, but have you both arrested, and deny Maybourne access to the hospitals we're holding all of you at. As you get minuscule meals, trying to cut your wrist has us knowing you're out of your god damn minds. You're a schizophrenic, trying to escape, same thing, you're obsessed with him. That you're all as crazy as Linda was, out of desperation to protect yourselves now." Carson said and he swallowed.
"As he said, after you get shot and arrested, it's like, sorry kid, your team's a group of psychos didn't you know, it's like everything he's come to believe. Is all made of bull shit, he hated you for that, he's not coming after you, not now, you just destroyed everything. Everything that you hold dear as you can't admit you're not stronger then the scientists, the civilians. But my baby boy, is staying in my custody, you're on your own, you little bastards." he said and they paled.
"Level black code clearance, you have no authority here, as 1) you're military and the U.L.F., is a civilian program, 2) you're level yellowish orange, so you're not authorized. To make a decision like that, he can leave now, on our orders, as we now know, you only need him here. To prevent you from making fools of yourselves, and translations, you're nothing here. But a bunch of jarheads here, as I recall, Rico scored 35% on a math test, how did you, in truth here."
"Become grunt?" Henderson asked and Jack went white in fear, realizing he went into black ops, because he wasn't capable of making the piloting program for a ship the size of the enterprise then. "As such, we know, if you tell him to break the rules, of non interference, you wanted him to forget this, so you have him here for that same reason again. But what happens here, if the recall breaks down the front door, and he pulls the intar on you?" he said to him sternly then.
And he started shaking in fear. "Tried to run last night did we, and they took the intar to you?" Carson asked and he and Makepeace went white and they nodded sternly. "Thank god for those intar weapons, hmm, next best thing to tranquilizer guns or tasers. So any criminal tries to run, we can take an intar, and the blast is enough to knock them unconscious. And no damage, and we're creating more of them in the replicators, a surplus." Landry said smiling sternly to this,
"Q, can you create a tricorder please?" she asked and fully working one appeared, as she checked him over and Henderson's eyes narrowed in fury. "Chronic fatigue, Insomnia, Forgetfulness/impaired concentration and attention. Heart palpatations, shortness of breath, dizziness, stomach pain, loss of weight. That's current weight of 135, when the ideal weight for a man his size now, is 185, borderline 200lbs here, he's lost 50lbs here right now, Hank."
"This is bad, we got to get the 50lbs back on him, we're bringing 2 weeks worth of food, so once there, at the observatory, we're setting up camp, so guys. Set up the cafeteria, with 40 people there, and make plenty in abundance, I need to get the weight back on him. Five basic food groups, double helpings of everything, so once on that side of the gate. Then turn around and dial the observatory." she said and they nodded sternly and Jack swallowed hard at that remark.
"Yeah we got to get him away from here, he's close to a symptom crash right now right now, this keeps up, he's going to get sick." Henderson said and he nodded. "Choice between us or you, he chose us, you little shit, so get ready, as this is why, Pyrus did it to you. As you see what it's like to be blackmailed, you're losing weight, you're trapped in fear. Wasn't it you said you're losing the war down there, he was breaking your defenses." Haden said to them sternly then.
And Jack swallowed hard, realizing Pyrus knew everything, and while Daniel was recovering, he was breaking their defenses, till they cracked, and the generals had them. And where they wanted them, as now Daniel was recovering, getting the rest and nourishment. That his body so desperately needed, and they were refusing, after what Shyla's courts did that to them. As Henderson gripped his shoulders with paternal love and care and the quartet nodded sternly.
"Add that to the script, we just ran a fast bio scan, and realized this catch of fasting on alien planets, he lost 45lbs, he's suffering headaches, and fatigue, tension. He lost half his blood supply, and he's looking like the kids on the movie, after being up for 6 months straight." Hammond said and Cooper nodded sternly. "Yeah baby brother needs 5 months recovery now, and when I get my hands on you, as my character, you're done." Stone said and she swallowed.
"Lay another hand on him, I'll cut it off." Schreiber said sternly and Jack started shaking in fear then. "Brandon, we better tell the team, why he took the job, this fast, as Eric's not going to like this right now, but he and Ted, they're going to kill O'neill. And for the fact, he's looking this pale." Barnes said and he nodded. "Well…, the SGC is Mobile Infantry now, SGA is Fleet, yeah okay here, you see when you're trained to kill it never pays to be polite, or courteous."
"So currently only 5,000, and said canon episode, that has Sarkolov smoke bombing the place, they're all clones, after whatever Maybourne did this time." Jackson said and Daniel nodded. "Those officers and personnel are Svetlana's closest friends actually, Sam." he said and they nodded. "Like I said, give it 3 hours and the emotional damage has already been done here, survivor's guilt, why she survive when her friends are dead." Hoffman said sternly to that news.
"Well that bemused smile that you exchanged with her, you knew each other, you knew all three of them, but to you there was more to it then that, but your friends." Daniel said and he nodded then. "That's why I took the job so fast, I had to alert the duo of this, but of all the people that were chosen, it had to be my friends, it could have been someone else. But no, it had to be them, being the level headed member of the team, they're my friends, and I lost my youngest."
"And it was because the blast stunned me, while Peter, was killed as I wasn't there to prevent it, but this time now, it took a more dangerous turn in this case. That if we get a live one crash landing directly next to us, and the sub is parked directly at the interlock. The only dangerous member of the group is the sole SGC officer, who is crazed to the point of desperation. If the isolation down there causes her to crack, in this case is our sole graduate student is stronger."
"You're the next youngest and we got a recently post graduate school cadet, doing his first session in there, you're getting yourself reacquainted with the job. But after 10 months to a year, why bother coming back here, you never felt better, or more alive. Then you did now, because you're now spending 80% of your time, doing what you were trained to do. And the other 20% there in the habitat, like a skilled diver now." Hoffman said and Shanks smiled.
"But how stupid do you think I am Amanda, Rick huh, you think I would never check the tapes, to know you were talking before the accident, so you can claim. His being a Naval personnel is just not for him, you barely kill him to make a point, I could have you tried. And convicted for it, you're dangerous, to yourselves, him and my team, Dustin's team. Out of your desperation to protect yourselves here." Haden's double sternly said and they started shaking in fear to that.
"As crew just took on a whole new meaning, as in literal crew, I'm a Naval psychiatrist, trained in deepsea exploration, and this is training to handle the rigors of living and working in space. Zero gravity, and the only way to keep yourself on the ground, is the added weight of the recirculator in the breathing mask." Hoffman said and he nodded. "Well the drop off point, is too far below, so we stick to our 850ft here." his double said and he and Coyote nodded sternly.
"Well the ULF was exchanged for the SGA program, and Daniel's quote just hit table, as he borrowed from your book self, in what the newbies are walking into here. As he described in detail, while these guys are so screwed up in the head, here, they flunked. In 2.5 years psychiatrics, and game up, so clearly the Air Force and Marine's finest. Are clearly not strong enough, physically or mentally, to handle this job." Coyote said sternly and he nodded then.
"Yeah that, as we just eliminate the casting calls from the book and script, as the mental descriptions given are enough, everyone is going to immediately. You chose us, for guest starring roles on the show, as my description is a dead give away. Everyone knows our voices when they hear them radio or otherwise, that hearing us. Once we do that episode here now as I say it to David, only as my character profile now sounds like a skilled deepsea diver now."
"Sphere put my voice in radio mode, in the movie, before I do it in miniature hologram form, between me and Jake's young adult self." Jackson said and he nodded. "They choose who's playing Jake's young adult counterpart? Daniel asked him and he nodded. "Yeah they chose Hayden Christensen, he's doing the next two movies, but he and Nattie. They fall in love, but the next two movies answers why the sand people attacked Mark and everything else."
"Ten years to the day, and it's starting all over again, as to repeat this right now, if he told me sooner right now, over Pernilla, I would have sent him to check on it. As we get the news Christopher, as Dooku, made a deal with the raiders, that now is not the time for this. The senate is still voting on the movement, and Anakin is bringing her home, which will. In truth put pressure on the opposition, and widen the confrontation here." he said and Daniel nodded.
"You know me on sight, as you seen me with or without the glasses on after doing opposite of Bruce, but there is it, and this is a PG-13. And Dustin, Sharon and I know what the heck's going on around here, considering we're the only survivors. And out of the 7 of us, that just how stupid does she think we are, we did it once, we can do it again. Knowing that Sphere is Q technology, and he's testing us, like he tested Johnathan." he said and they nodded, smiling.
"The voices once heard are beyond familiar, as his, your, mental description, brings out the profile, as though stuck in the chamber, they know it immediately. But a dark skinned man, with firm eyes, and the stern firmness of a skilled sword fighter. A strict teacher, in grading, and I was monitoring David's training now as a cadet. Rather than carrying a high level of training in normal fencing, on his belt he carried a hilt, made of silver with gold lines on it, and the air."

But having someone so edgy, they're a distraction, then they're too impatient to pass the test, like the Ancients want. But as I said, we're keepers of the peace, not soldiers, me definitely not, but just don't bring out my Jedi persona. Or whoever did is going to wish like hell they were never born." Jackson said and they started laughing then.
"Issues with the hunches, and said remark on a 1,000,000 to 1, we get the one when Patrick brings her to Cedar Creek, before releasing her when he couldn't sell her. As to that, is a gentle, but firm psychiatrist, with the stern tone of being a colonel, where dealing with violent. And irrational patients are concerned, a man in his late 50's with gentle eyes, but a firm demeanor. His skill in the field of his training as deepsea explorer, un-matched, in all the branches now."
"In certain patients, the calming tone of a father when the said patient needs it, and that describes you to a T, Dustin, you were that way with me when we were talking." Schrieber said and he nodded. "Well my description is given out in part two, and Reassignments has me make my appearance, after Billy and Michael tell him here. That they just reassigned him to the Navy and chosen psychiatrist is me now, another family friend." he said and Jackson nodded.
"Dustin's take of being that type of skilled deepsea diver, anyone that had a nervous breakdown in the level, was just not cut out for deepsea exploration, via habitats. It's like living in space, we should know, we just have it sounding convincing, but if the holodeck. Now, can reproduce it, in that kind of detail, it's going to be so convincing here, the room was currently looking. Now like the pressure chamber, and we walked into the habitat now, as he's calling to us then."
"And from the control room, on our deck, okay 43 to 52 is us, and that is 15 miles around in the habitat here, we just fit that to 3 miles, and there's the sound stage here." he said and they nodded. "Like you said, I'd hate to be the poor idiot, in cadets that never does this day in and day out, once the doctor comes into this, but his description, and I get the feeling. Craig's next right now, so Craig the M.D., Dustin the psychiatrist, don't push it." Stone said and he smiled.
"Or just bringing out the stern note in my tone, I just took a guest starring role here, as the psychiatrist right now, but don't press your luck right now. As I said, I'm taking back what rightfully belongs to me here, so want to press your luck here. I can have you committed till you start thinking straight, and that's backed up by Chris as well. Chris and Billy, but since I'm a Naval psychiatrist, I'm leaving it in the hands of your branch." he said and Jack went white.
"A week between episodes and these two are 2 weeks, so we begin, tomorrow, after we head for the outpost, plug in the scenery and then get to work. As episode 3, is titled by Yesterday's Enterprise, as we get Patrick and his friends there at the ship. And following that is A Matter Of Time, as in, only a matter of time, before someone goes back in, to get Marshall. And the team, back and finally, is The Search Of Camelot, and that's the entire first book now."
"So book 1 is complete, as book two is being created and that covers the next 5 episodes now, as we have someone walk right into trouble, said trouble here, a run in with Sokar.
