127. The Search For Truth VII: New Futures

Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle

Warnings: With this series, there's going to be a severe amount of backlash brought on by the traumas of Hathor and Machello. But the connector here is going to be Need and Shyla's kingdom, so for Sam and Jack. The events of Hathor and Shyla have stuck, leaving them facing a backlash that has Daniel. And Teal'C, on one side of the line, them on the other, in basing this solely on the book series on the movie, directly after it.

The events are altered to it being civilian ran with military help and the SGA is just that, as Jack and Makepeace get the entirety of the consequences. That resulted in Daniel becoming a pariah now in that book series, only now it's reversed here. So everything negative on Daniel is Jack now, in the SGA and everything Jack is Daniel. In the SGC ops, but it's because of the permanent effects of Hathor's pheromones.

This story and it's followers are going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.

Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.

As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.

This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.

As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

"Can you give me a list of what they stole from each of you right now, because the moles are the accused in that hospital right now, as they just tried to kill me last week." he said and Omac crossed his arms. "As I said primitives, violence is not the answer nor will ever be, and I'm relieved one, or two, of you. Actually took my concerns into consideration, as General Carter would later say, the advancements are so far over your head, you're not ready, still very young."

"But there is nothing wrong with being young, or that you're taking our worries and for your ex peers trying to push too fast, too soon. But you can't just put your country symbol in their branch on a death glider and call it your's, an advancement like that needs to be earned. And you had, as once again their hearing the same bloody sentence over and over again. Said is we only do business with blue teams, as evidenced now by your choice in mission clothing now."

"But I figured now, that the followers would grow to the number you collected, and that's only the beginning as you started inviting other planets into the organization now." he said and they paled and Daniel smiled. "The SGA, just took on the name of the organization on my favorite sci-fi tv show, the man playing the leader of the continuum. His name is John De Lancie now, he's well known in playing what we call the friendenemy, an enemy that became a friend."

"The reason we have the cast here of that same show, in the entirety of it, of the primary 10 characters is 80% of it are from earth, and the girls and Worf are from several key planets. All over the galaxy, once created this ship and crew is the grandmother of their ship, and crew." he said and they, Bra'tac, Vala and the Tok'ra nodded smiling in understanding. "Looks like your heir, is about to become their version's best Commander." Omac said and the couple nodded.

"They're not part of the SGC or us, as the SGA, they're NID, and their commander is Colonel Maybourne." he explained and she nodded firmly. "Indeed and Narim, Lya and I remember after they're trying to have you kicked out of the program and they paid the price. But as the Grand Duchess said, we passed through her planet the week before you arrived on La Rochelle. But you are my pride, I never been more proud of you Commander, but we came to you now."

"So you know what had been stolen, and we want you to find them, we want them arrested and our technology returned to us, you show the proper restraint. And clearly you understand our fears, if we gave the SGC our technology and them turning it back on Earth. As we're in fear of another Surita, with you living on a sip this advanced now." her second said and he nodded. "That's no trouble at all, Q unleashed my powers fully here now, that I can do this for you."

"But as I would have told my replacement on his team, you, as the strongest races I know, have shown me what happens when a culture gets that much advanced weaponry. And when they're not ready for it, and how it leads to their destruction and utter annihilation. And of their culture and planet, and I just had them all locked up, but I struck on a medical breakthrough. That will save billions on a trips to the hospital." he said gently and he nodded in approval then gently.

"Welcome Omac, Lya, Thor, to the Enterprise, and indeed, it's good to see you right now, but they crossed the line, despite our talk, over their traitor status. They never got the message to drop this, after Jehovah lead me into finding Pyrus and his kingdom." Daniel said to them, smiling gently. "Uh huh, well now, the final straw struck, if you look this weak and pale at the moment, as for your immediate greeting us now." Thor said, and Omac finished the sentence.

"Hello my apprentice, well I see we were right about you alright, only now it seems to have gotten worse, Captain Carter got hijacked as you say as well, and with her, Dr. Frasier?" Omac of the Tollan said and he nodded sternly. "She's fixated on what Jolinar left in her head right now, you know the dangers of it. What's the limit, maximum safest dose, before it starts destroying you in both ways?" he asked and she nodded. "That is 75 in working one." Lya of the Nox said.

"And 25 in a broken one, the only way to break that curse is by the sarcophagus, it's taking the level in a working one that Daniel had, General Hammond. Everything he told you on the technology is just that, we know the side effects, because we studied it. Host physiology, but it seems that after reading what Captain Carter had decided, Jolinar set her up now. So you have no reason to trust her words over the expert." Omac said and Hammond nodded sternly then.

"I saw the memories Jehovah showed me, he alerted you to the reason they came here now, to the Milky Way galaxy now, I understand and I thank you for the gift of that memory." he said and she and Thor both nodded in relief he said that and she smiled. "As we said, we're not proud of the fact we let things go on this long, but you must understand. There are far more dangerous threats then the petty annoyance of the system lords." Thor said and he nodded.

"Yeah we understand alright, that vision left him beyond traumatized, in understanding the true threat that is the Ori, why keep fighting the system lords when there are bigger fish to fry." Jacob said sternly for Landry and Picard and he nodded in agreement. "Just out of curiosity what is your own threat you been trying to from entering our galaxy?" Hammond asked him then gently. "We call them replicators, they are insect like robots." he said and Daniel nodded then.

"Like mechanical termites?" Daniel asked and he nodded. "Indeed, they are relentless, and it's taken everything we have to stay alive this long, as for the threat in the Pegasus galaxy. There is a threat known as the Wraith now, as Lya said, once a worshiper is discovered. And they are immediately exterminated, as for of the enzyme they carry, they would sell out their planet. Or their friends for more of it now." he said and he nodded. "Sounds familiar." he said to this then.

"Like Q told Jean Luc, we are about to move into areas of the galaxy containing wonders more incredible than you can possibly imagine, and terrors to freeze your soul. That you offer yourselves as guide, to guide us in the right direction, we thank you for the warning here. As this was highly needed and as Teal'C would say to her ex husband after asking right now. After asking about your threat in an attempt to stop the Ori now, you don't want to know here."

"As my base has ascended beings, and folklore, with the fact that the Ancients took on the dark ages, in truth now, that of the Knights of the Round Table legends. That's the King Arthur and the knights of the round table story line, Daniel is a historian. And of old kingdom weapons and culture, and my best archeologist." Landry said and he nodded. "Yes indeed, you understand perfectly as you live here in this ship and understand the threat." Omac said to him gently then.

"You really blew it this time, Jackson." Makepeace said and he smiled sternly. "Oh, I think it came off quite nicely, don't you, dad?" he asked and he nodded. "Yes I do." he said and they heard a threatening tone enter his voice. "You have no idea how high up this goes, you pissed off the wrong people." he said and Daniel crossed his arms, looking at their allies then. "Like the Tollan, Tok'ra, Asgard, Nox…, those folks?" he asked and he said it then firmly.

"They refuse to give us the things we need to defend ourselves against the Goa'uld." he said and Daniel said it sternly to him. "We don't need their stuff Makepeace: We do need them, stuff, stuff breaks, and we don't have the necessary training to fix the damn thing. So, what we need, is blueprints, and this way we can backwards engineer it, in whatever it is. And replicate it, via the ship's replicating systems." he said and Omac and his female counterpart.

"The ship has replicating technology, we can mass produce now, so anything not military is given back to the republic, what is, is meant for defense, never for attack." he said and the joint chiefs and the president elect exchanged smiles of pride, at the way he worked. "And that is exactly what I want to hear right now, advanced technology is not a toy. That it should be in the hands of the people that would use it responsibly, and not for war." Jacob said to that, smiling.

As Omac smiled in agreement. "Guys, if we helped you arrest these guys, would you give us the blueprints, the ship has the replicating technology." Daniel said and they nodded. "We would to you, but them, we don't trust what they're going to do with it, especially. After you decided not to come to us for added help, after learning Cordesh got caught in being a traitor now." She said and Daniel nodded. "That's why my vision said: not to come to you." he said to her then gently.

"I took into consideration your concerns right now, that the matter of trying to prevent a hostile take over, was concerned, after West sent that bomb and it killed half my team. And 75 civilians on the planet at the time, before Apophis kidnapped and turned Sha're and Skaara." he said and Jacob nodded sternly in agreement. "I knew of the three of you, the one that took my concerns more then seriously was you, Commander." Omac said sternly and Jack paled at that in fear.

"Hank, with my about to take Bill's place, my orders are half your forces do the trades and archeology/anthropology jobs, the other looks for Neumann and his unit right now." Bush said and Landry nodded sternly and Maybourne went pale then. "Yes Sir, and we'll get right on it, but Shyla agreed 6 weeks to 2 months, it's going to take that long. And before he's back on light duty." he said and Bush nodded. "Do it, 6 weeks rest, then back at it." he said and they nodded.

"Agreed, like I would say also that no one's life is more important then the majority right now, that the members of the opposing base can't keep running. And to your, our, off world allies, and every time someone's life is endanger." Jacob said and then said it sternly to her and Jack, as he raised his hand then. "And don't go telling me this is any different, as your lives are no more important then anyone else's now, but clearly Hank, George, Jean and I trained Danny too well."

"And show us that please." Jacob said and Daniel nodded to him then, as they see Sam putting a piece of paper with drawings on it down in front of Hammond. And as she and Daniel are standing in front of Hammond's desk. "What is it?" he asked and she said it then and Jacob crossed his arms. "I guess you could call it a satellite, Sir. According to Daniel it would be capable of detecting approaching Goa'uld ships thousands of light-years away."

"Its weapons systems could penetrate Goa'uld shield technology and destroy mother ships, basically, Sir, it's the basis of the perfect anti-Goa'uld defence system." she said and Jacob froze then sternly. "Yes Daniel, if this is their opinion of you, you resist where they can't: and you're a traitor, create weapons to take the fight to the enemy. You become the bad guy here now, grow closer to your female friends or Shyla: you changed and with it now here."

"So he should be here, as he has you surrounding him, and while he's in recovery, at the moment from the absolute damage done to his body, we search out a few dozen more." he said and she and Littlefield nodded. "There's the SGA truth, with that knowledge in our hands, and you currently working at the SGC, you're making it so they're seen as crazy, dangerous, out of control and a loose cannon. One that you have to deactivate, before that weapon is turned back on earth." Catherine said sternly and as Shore and Meyers crossed their arms sternly and Jack swallowed hard in fear. Realizing the Civil services were never going to let them attempt this twice after Ra now.

"Of course, we'd need to build an entire network of them and launch them into orbit." he said and Hammond nodded. "Can we do that?" he asked and Daniel froze. "Mr. President, this is part of the requirements, but you can use my grandparents house for this. Once I change the locks and a few other security precautions." he said and Bush nodded. "Do it, I want it out of their control now." he said and Sarah smiled sternly and Sam swallowed hard at that remark.

"My first motive of business, is taking the Stargate program out of the hands of the military, all technology collected is being moved over to the SGA, the satellite system and so on. It's out of the SGC control, so we can stop using the DEFCON emergency system starting now." he added and the leaders nodded in relief at the news. "As we have said and keep saying: the program is mean to protect mankind, all of mankind, not just this country." he said sternly to this then.

"Well, Sir, this is an entirely new kind of technology, we'd need to bring in outside help: A lot of it. Engineers, physicists…" she said and Daniel stepped in then firmly. "But ultimately it means we don't have to involve the Tok'ra." he said and Jacob nodded sternly then. "Indeed, we had multiple moles in the Tok'ra ranks before, the latest is the one that is about to kill Drey'auc's counterpart, but as you said, if we need you and you us."

"Just send a message after the incident with the death glider now." Yosuf said sternly and Sam swallowed hard at the remark, realizing this was another instant. They call on each other for help, not for military technology that needed refining right now. "Why not?" he asked and Daniel nodded, as he explained that to him. "At the moment, the Goa'uld don't care what we're up to—we're no immediate threat, but if it gets out that we've advanced."

"And to this level of technology, we wouldn't be able to build this defence system fast enough." he said and Hammond looked concerned. "You think the Tok'ra would betray us?" he said and Jacob crossed his arms then in agreement then. "Maybe not intentionally, but they've had problems with Goa'uld spies before. I don't think it's worth the risk: and not when we can do this without them." he said and Hammond nodded gently then.

"I'll take that into consideration, what about the boy?" he asked and Daniel nodded. "Well, he doesn't have to remember anything now. He's given me all the knowledge we need." he said and Hammond nodded gently. "How he did that is what concerns me." he said to him then. "He's no danger, Sir." he said and Hammond said it. "Still, as long as he's here is he should be kept under close guard. I'll talk to the Pentagon here."

"And about bringing in some more personnel to help you out." he said and Jacob nodded. "Why doesn't that surprise me, despite the fact the knowledge is inside Daniel, you're going to use another child the way that Nirrti turned Cassandra into a Trojan horse right now." he said sternly to that, seeing where that remark was leading and Sam flinched at that, realizing that. In truth, was the cruelest level of irony anyone ever heard then and Jack swallowed hard in fear.

As it was a few days later then finally, as Davis arrived then. "Bottom line is, it's going to require the entire resources of the entire SGC to focus on the retrieval. And of raw naquada for the time being." he said and Sam started to say it then. "Well, if we ask the Tok'ra for help…" she started to say and Yosuf crossed her arms. "Why are you so desperate to get us involved here exactly, this weapon has nothing to do with us." Jacob said to her then.

And she paled, realizing their dependency on the Tok'ra said they were ready to have him arrested. So the state department could take control of the system after having Daniel arrested then. "Major Davis, you've prepared a budget and timetable based on the data?" he said to him and he nodded. "The Pentagon had budgeted the construction and launch of the satellite network at $80 billion, estimated time of completion to be two years now."

"And after the start date." he said to him then and Daniel interrupted him then. "That's unacceptable." he said and Davis said it gently. "Well, if we involve the Russians in a cooperative effort…" He said and Daniel said it sternly. "No." he said and the Russian prime minister nodded in approval. "Da, so long as they never use it to take aim at us, China or Germany, we leave it be." he said and they all went white, realizing Daniel's method then.

Was meant to prevent a Cold War over alien military technology at the time. "I'm sorry?" he said and Daniel repeated it then. "I said no: listen to me, the program is run by the SGA, so therefore any technology created is to stay in the hands. And of the Geneva convention, the IOA's orders right now, and I'm following their and the Convention. In their explicit orders, this technology is not meant to protect just the US of A now."

"But the entire planet." he said and she looked at him in shock he just said that. "So it's not just about protecting Earth, but about protecting the good old US of A, hmm. Why doesn't that surprise me, after your military intelligence buddies took the gate. And fired Catherine and my team." he said sternly then and she went pale at that remark, realizing this was he wasn't letting them get away with doing destroying earth then as a result.

"Indeed majors, as I had to get the job done myself in rescuing you young lady at the time, that I agree with him, we are protecting mankind, all of mankind. Not just this country, but your attitude young man, says you're working for Vidrine." Hammond said sternly to this and he swallowed hard, realizing he was completely screwed then. And now realizing that the joint chiefs were trying to protect the entire planet not just America.

"Well sorry Davis, the president has ordered me to take command of the project here and that technology's for the benefit of mankind, all of mankind now. But if your mind is not functioning on all cylinders here right now, let me make this plain. But I'm part of the president's cabinet and your superior, and Addison gave me strict. In instructions, of where making sure you don't pull any stunts with this technology."

"Now is concerned, so we can keep that." he said, pointing at the DEFCON system. "On blue, so forget it right now, Major, I'm working for the Navy in truth here. That you have your orders, now follow them right now." he said sternly to him then and Hammond nodded sternly in agreement to that thought, knowing he was trying to prevent it. And from being aimed at Europe then as a result here right now, as Sam looked at him concerned then.

"Don't give us that look young lady, he's got a right to be concerned about the way the men you so revere use this technology and he's taking our concerns into consideration right now." Jacob said sternly and she swallowed hard at that. "The Russian government has agreed to stop using their Stargate on the condition we share all information gathered by the SGC. Now we have to tell them." he said gently and Daniel shook his head then sternly at that.

"No we don't." he said and Davis looked at him in shock then. "But.." he started to say then. "It's okay, I have a way of rendering their Gate inactive." he said and she looked at him in shock then. "You do?" she asked and Davis said it carefully then. "That's really not the point." he said and Hammond hold up his hand as Daniel underlined the remark then. "The point is, we don't know if the Russians are turning round and trading those secrets."

"This project is too important to get screwed up by petty Earth politics, we're talking about protecting this entire planet from Goa'uld occupation." he said and Jacob nodded in approval sternly and she started shaking in fear."I imagine that several of the so-called petty nations of this planet are going to be very curious. And when we start launching satellite weapons into orbit two years from now." he said and Daniel nodded sternly.

"One year from now." he said and he looked at him in shock. "That's impossible: It would double the cost." he said and Daniel crossed his arms. "Not when my book series just quadrupled the amount necessary to keep this gate going, correct." he said and Sam paled at the threat, realizing continued arguing was going to have him pull funding. If they kept it up then. "Good point, your books gave enough for everything." Bush said in approval then.

"Then it's not impossible, is it: Obviously most of the workload will have to contracted out to the private sector so they'll have to be a strategic division of labour. And in order to maintain the security of the project, Major Davis, if you could also see to this." he said and then placed down a paper with a bunch of expenses on it. "What is this?" he asked and he explained that to him then, knowing this was to prevent them from interfering.

"Just a few personal requirements, I'm sure the Pentagon will be happy to provide me with given the nature of my continued contributions. Please see that it gets approved as soon as possible, Gentlemen." He said and stood up as he left the room then. "Personal requirements?" he repeated and Sarah nodded sternly to this then. "Yeah, so you can't point that at the other countries, a personal shield over the goa'uld version of the control chair."

And the bunker is strong enough to withstand a few dozen cruise missiles, ordered by the president. And of the United States of America, after you idiots took the gate and started a war with the first alien race we come into contact with!" she said to this and they paled, realizing the president had just made it, so they couldn't use it.

And to strong arm the rest of the planet into submission after they stole the gate from Catherine. "As he read out, kill the king: only to protect herself, treat him like garbage: only to protect herself, see him as a traitor: only to protect herself. Join with the chronic paranoia type: only to protect herself, kill billions in the galaxy, here on Earth: only to protect herself. Everything she does, regarding him and the war between them is only to protect herself."

"Well someone had to take a stand, one day someone had to say enough, and that day is today, enough is enough, you're a traitor, you deserve to be in that jail cell. Stay the hell away from my husband, before I kill you myself right now, you tramp!" Sarah snapped and they heard cheering and Sam swallowed hard, realizing she was completely screwed. "And that sums it up young lady, everything you do is to protect yourself, well everything he does right now, in truth."

Jacob said and Omac nodded in stern approval then gently. "We, not my, but we, everything I own, she owns, she and I, when we're together, we're seen as one now.
